The hotel is under major construction which was not advertised. The hotel entrance has been closed as a result so you have to walk through another hotel to check in. The lobby and by the elevators is dirty, dusty and did not feel safe due to everything being uncompleted and under construction. When we checked in we were told that our room wouldn't be ready for another 1.5 hours even though we arrived at 3pm when our room should have been ready. That's okay though, I know it is a busy time so we weren't too fussed. However, when we were then allowed to check in, we went to our room to find out that the room was under construction! No furniture, electrical wires hanging everywhere and cement dust wafting around. When we went back to reception to get a different room, the woman working the desk had no idea! So we had been made to wait 1.5 hours over our check in time for a room that was unliveable! We were then given a different room which luckily was not under construction however it wasn't without fault. The toilet seat wasn't connected to the toilet, the door would close properly unless you spend 5 minutes slamming it shut and the room smelt like painting fumes and concreate dust was everywhere which made my allergies and asthma go a bit crazy. Overall, I understand the hotel wants to continue operating while under construction however it was very disappointing that they don't offer a disclaimer when you book/check in. We were quite disap and unhappy with our stay.

Hotel was in a handy location near bus, tram and metro.
I was hesitant to book because of poor reviews, but decided to give it a go as it’s an ACCOR hotel, seems we were lucky as we were on a newly refurbished floor and had none of the issues of mould etc. Overall would recommend!

The Hotel is still under renovation and noisy during the day. Our room had no heat and when mentioned to the front desk we were told we would have to wait until the next day to talk to the manager. The wind was banging the outdoor sign all night as well.

I only stayed in Brussels for one night, so I just wanted a bed and a showed, and that's pretty much what I got here; it's just the bare essentuals but looked like everything in the room was about to fall apart (the doorhandle for the bathroom did fall off a couple of times!)

It served it's purpose, and I can't really complain apart from the price, but I knew Brussels was expensive in general. I am surprised through that this hotel is rated 3 stars; if that's truely the case, I dread to think of what a 2 or 1 star hotel would be like.

Hotel is under renovation. Limited rooms are open it seems.

My room was freshly renovated which is nice and well done. Outside of that, the lower floors are closed. The elevator is dirty and the main door is not open for use. For future renovations, some sort of protection should be built into the shower to keep the floor from getting wet easily.

Fine stay for a night or two, but just average. Once renovatons are correct and lobby is used as designed an added star would be fair.

I have been staying at Siru Hotel regularly over the past eight years due to work-related commitments. Up until now, I have never encountered any particular issues. However, during my most recent visit, I was surprised to be informed that my reservation did not exist in their system. Upon presenting my reservation ticket, I was told there had been an issue with Hotels.com's portal, causing some bookings not to reach the hotel.

Fortunately, I was able to secure another room, but at double the original price. I believe that given the circumstances, this issue should have been resolved without additional cost to me, especially since the fault was beyond my control. Whether the problem lies with Siru Hotel or Hotels.com, I expected to receive a replacement room at the same rate.

Excellent location right by bus and metro service linking you to the entire country, North train station is only a 5 min walk away.
Lots of sirens during the night, a hospital is nearby across the street, we walked outside day and night time never felt uncomfortable, late at night 11 midnight'ish KFC and McDonalds closes, there are several all night fries and convenience (including beer & wine) locations nearby.
This is in the city in an old building; there is an elevator, don't expect American standards when it comes to room size etc
The in-room coffee maker came in handy, room was cleaned daily
Breakfast is available on the ground floor

The property has no conditions to hold people, the smell in the entire hotel was indescribable so bad gave us a room with the shower floor completely rusted. Tv broken, No internet, it’s the cheapest one around once in there looks like too expensive, definitely, I know I wouldn’t stay there anymore, so terrible experience

Narcissists work at this hotel.

These people (two women) are passively rude, and narcissistic towards travellers who complain about their rooms. There were only a few pieces of Kleenex in the washroom and we were told, they are low in supplies. The dispenser did not have any shampoo and were given a new box but not without an attitude. It’s time to shut down or get another job if you can’t accommodate your customers; you’re in the wrong business.

Nice if you're on a budget

Nice hotel if you're on a budget - Brussels is expensive. I traveled solo so my room was tiny but that doesn't bother me. It is starting to show it's age though so don't expect too much. It is clean with a good location near shopping and the North train station. The workout facility was sub par. Overall, I would stay here again for the price.

This property has very poor or no internet at all so I had to use my cell phone data to do my work and this can be very expensive. What I likes about this hotel is the excellent transportation in the area and also it's just 10 minutes walk to all the action. Would stay here again, but was disappointed about the Wi-Fi not working.

The hotel is easy to find. It is perfectly located. It is near a train station as well as a subway station. That made visiting Brussels so easy. The hotel is clean.

However, the wifi is slow, because checking my emails was often difficult. Secondly, while there is a service for laundry and cleaning, the hotel did not wash and dry my clothes as per its policy.

Nothing worked. Absolutely horrible WiFi. Sometimes you could send a text or look at a website (sometimes!) but forget about streaming or watching anything.
No AC. And I don’t mean little or barely working, I mean NO AC. Sleeping was a nightmare in August.
The hair dryer did not work at all.
Other than the breakfast (which was very good) and proximity to Brux-Nord station, there is nothing positive to say

Not gonna lie, the hotel is located in a good spot, and the breakfast was ok, but these mahn gotta get air con in rooms, I was sweating fam. My main light didn't really work as well, but I'm not massively fussed as I always bring an emergency flashlight for these type of situations, ya get me. It's also weird cause the big window opens up to a safe place where if I've drunk I'm not gonna fall out, but that bathroom window was opened right up I could legit see 6 floors down. Scary stuff for real. Elevator was standard, but the entrance door to it makes it look like you're about to enter a prison cell. WiFi only really worked on the ground floor for me. My door did lock though, and staff were nice. Shame I had to pay city tax, could have used that for roulette

Worst Hotel I've ever stayed in!

Absolutely rubbish hotel, and even worse service. Would not recommend my worst enemy to stay in this place.

I tried to check into this hotel but first they gave me a room which when I got in, it was full of rubbish in it, and towels lying on the floor. When I went back to the reception, they didn't even apologies. The receptionist simply said \"Ah okay, here's another room\"!

Then they gave me another room which when I got to the room, I realised the room's door lock is broken. The room was also extremely damp (I almost couldn't breath).

Anyways, I went back to the reservation and asked if the quality of all rooms are like that, and they said, yes because there is no aircon and the windows cannot be opened.

I ended up not staying there and they didn't even give me a refund as a basic courtesy of the inconvenience.

Location is good, the price is reasonable, and the breakfast is great.. however the temperature of the room was almost unbearable when Brussels was facing 25 degree temperature and there were long periods of time where reception was completely unmanned which made it difficult to check in and check out. I will be looking elsewhere next time.

The property is in desperate need of some refurbishment and upgrading. The bathroom leaves much to desired with dirty tile grouting, a filthy shower curtain and a heavily damaged shower tray. Bedroom furniture is also very old and need of replacement. The property also seems to be frequented by very noisy clients. Finally, the wi-fi connection is very slow and therefore useless. The only positive was a decent breakfast.

The worst hotel that I’ve ever stayed in. Everything from customer service, room, bed, and noise from outside is awful. The area is even worse. If they even give you a free room here, don’t take it otherwise you will be awake the whole night. Do not recommend it.

Kind of run down. Door to the hotel is broken so you have to enter through the hotel next door. The lock on the door to my room was broken and it was a huge dramatic issue to get my room switched partially due to language barrier but mostly due to being gaslighted about the lock being broken even after being walked in on while taking a bath. The area has a lot of construction, and a lot of houseless folks sleeping in the street and some aggressive panhandlers. At the grocery store you have to scan your receipt to exit the store or they will accuse you of stealing by yelling at you in french

In my room the wardrobe door was broken... Room was so tiny I had almost no space to open my bag. Internet was soooo poor. I was not at all able to make calls using the internet. Breakfast buffet has almost no option for vegetarian people(just bread and butter/Nutella or cereal). No shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom.

Really Bad the only positive was the Young Guy and Lady who helped with bags and check in. After that I had 2 people knock on my door whilst showering, advising me I am in the wrong room and should leave to reception. Whilst I was naked. This is unacceptable. You give me a room and wrote it on the card 609. You never apologised for your incompetence and lack of respect. And your demands. Really bad. Old and dirty bed sheets. No point to complain as manager thinks he can speak to people with tone and attitude. Bad experience, not recommending.

The Siru is a reasonably priced option very close to the centre of Brussels - the Grand Place is about 15 minutes' walk away. My room was a little warm; the bed was not too uncomfortable, and the lift seems not to run to the top floor, so you have to climb the final flight of stairs (which is no problem).
A decent buffet breakfast is included, taken in a shared restaurant with the neighbouring Hotel des Colones (as is the reception).

The hotel is well located close to the North train station and the metro. Grote Markt can be easily walked to. There were many restaurants and shopping stores nearby.
The breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful.

Our room was a bit dated and the carpet was badly stained/soiled. I didn't want to walk on it barefooted.
