How do I set up my Travel Agent?

Enter your email address.
You will receive a verification code by email to confirm ownership.
After verification, you receive your installation keys (key, secret) and a prompt to install the skill to your agent.
Your agent can now search flights, hotels, and eSIMs and prepare travel bookings.

The secret is shown only once! Please store it securely (for example in an environment variable or secret manager) or let your agent save it for you.

Which agent software should I use?

You can use any AI agent framework or server environment capable of making HTTPS requests and signing API calls.

We recommend OpenClaw because it integrates directly into messaging platforms and works smoothly with the CryptoTraveler API.

However, custom server implementations (Node.js, Python, PHP, etc.) are fully supported.

Do I need an account?

No, you can use CryptoTraveler with your agent without creating an account.

However, we highly recommend connecting your agent to an existing email.

When your travel AI agent is linked to an existing account, you benefit from higher rate limits and more personalized interaction options.

Why can I not use a VPN or proxy during registration?

For security and abuse prevention reasons, agent registration must be completed without VPNs, proxies, or anonymization services enabled.

This helps us prevent automated spam registrations and protects the platform for all developers.

Once your agent account is verified, server-to-server API usage is allowed according to your configured limits.

How is authentication secured?

All protected API endpoints require HMAC request signing using your unique client secret.

This ensures secure communication between your AI agent and CryptoTraveler.

Are there rate limits?

Yes. Each agent has per-minute rate limits to ensure fair usage and platform stability.

Some endpoints (such as live flight searches) consume more quota than lightweight requests.

If you require higher limits, you need a booking or purchase with us.

How do I get higher rate limits?

If you already have a booking or purchase, please log in and go to your Agents Dashboard.

Grant your AI agent access to your account from the dashboard.

Once access is granted prompt your received account secret to your agent. daily rate limits will be increased automatically.

What happens if I lose my installation key?

For security reasons, installation keys (client secrets) are not stored in plaintext.

If you lose your key, you must generate a new one from your agent dashboard. The old key will immediately be revoked.
