The hotel was accessible to go around old Quarter. My family and I arrived early and they let us checking in earlier and help as well what to do in the city. The staff are so friendly and helpf specially the front desk lady who helps us (I forgot her name). The food in breakfast was delicious. Will recommend this to all of our friends. Thank you so much for the wonderful memories.

A small luxury hotel in the middle of the city, within blocks of the Night Market and Train Street, this was a great place to stay for a night. The breakfast was good, and the front office staff was very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend!

Comfortable stay, clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was good and location was also decent. No gym or swimming pool so if you want that then you would need to go to their sister hotel called Grand Du Lac Hotel which is better but is also a bit pricier. The staff had issues with the hotel room card but this was sorted out fairly promptly. Given that we were doing day trips and would be out most of the day this felt like a sensible option and it was.

Loved how close and walking distance this hotel was to all the key places to visit. The Old Quarter is a lot bigger than I expected and glad I chose this hotel to stay in for its convenience. The breakfast was excellent and the staff are extremely helpful. The room was a little smaller than my usual stays at hotels. Totally recommend staying here.

Staff was great but the hotel is old and there is a construction going on so the interior was very dusty. They charged credit fees of 4% which no credit card charged that high. It was a ripoff.
The city is so overrated, dirty and people were dishonest. They charged very thing with high price plus 4% bank fees but the facilities were low level standard.

This is an outstanding hotel in a good area. Spotless and well maintained with attentive and capable staff. The breakfast buffet was excellent with some a la carte options. The rooftop bar has lovely views. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if visiting Hanoi in the future.

Wow. Great spot. Wonderful staff, amazing breakfast buffet and upscale spa experience for an incredible value. Rooftop bar, excellent location. I was very happy with my time here. The artwork everywhere and attention to detail is a very chic look and feel, lovely. Room was comfy, worth getting a street view to watch the busy old town. No gym but the lake was right there and closed off for running in the morning.

We spent a great deal of time researching hotels in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, and with so many options, it felt like a stressful decision. Ultimately, we chose L’Hotel du Lac based on its strong reviews and excellent location and we couldn’t have been happier with that choice.

The staff (a special shoutout to Jolie) were exceptional, the rooms were comfortable and impressively quiet, and the breakfast was truly outstanding.

Our trip to Vietnam lasted two weeks, beginning in Hanoi with a stay at L’Hotel du Lac. When we returned to Hanoi at the end of our trip, we had booked a different hotel to experience another part of the city. However, we quickly regretted that decision and spent much of our time wishing we had returned to L’Hotel du Lac instead.

We highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel is in an excellent location. The atmosphere is quite colourful. The rooms are not very big but comfortable a enough. Great value for money. Fairly clean although a bit of noise from next door due to renovations.

Above all, the best thing this hotel has is the Staff. 20/10 in customer service. That alone is enough reason to stay here again in the future. Every single staff member were fantastic and there service is hard to beat!

We stayed here for 4 nights, the service was always friendly and vey attentive. My wife love the decor of the hotel. We found it to also be in a great location for everything we wanted to do and see, the area was very walkable. The service was fantastic right up to them walking us safely across the street to our grab and staying to wave as we drove off. The service didn’t stop there they even reached out to us to make sure we arrived at the airport safely. I’m not sure how we picked this hotel from all the hotels in Hanoi but I’m sure glad we did!!!!

First of all, the staff are wonderful. From the quick check in, polite greeting whenever returning to the hotel, the service at the roof top bar, to the arrangement of a trip to Ninh Binh, and a airport pick up, the service was exceptional.

The location itself is great as there is plenty to eat and lots of great little boutique stores around the hotel. There is also a Viettel and HSBC atm about a 5 minute walk from the hotel so it's convenient to grab a SIM and cash at the start of your stay.

The hotel and rooms are on the smaller side but that's part of the charm, and the rooms are clean, and beds are comfortable.

The roof top bar is a great way to finish the day, relaxing with a drink and enjoying the view of the city.

I really enjoyed my stay. Highly recommend!

Best customer service EVER! Upon my late check in, it was nice to be met with a cold towel, welcome drink & dried fruit. They even went so far as to make a little cake for me and deliver it to my room with a short birthday song! Location is great as it's literally right around the corner from the lake surroinded by many restaurants that also have sky bars. Breakfast has SO much variety & they offer cooked-to-order items as well. I didnt use the spa but it was nice to know that its a service. The property has great decor, super clean and is very quiet considering how busy the street below is. That said, the property is a little older & I(along some other guests) had an issue with a weird moldy smell in my room but I moved immediately. The staff are all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. They learned my name quickly, offered help with tours & local rec's, even walked me to my Grab to translate everytime I took a ride. Don't hesitate to give them a try. I felt so taken care of here & everyone helped to make my birthday in Hanoi a memorable one.🙏

Great hotel close to all the sights in the Old Quarter. Breakfast was excellent and there were enough food options to fill you up prior to the start of the day. The hotel is right in the heart of the Old Quarter, so it is noisier and busier than other areas, but in a great location.

All the staff were great, and even reached out to us after our stay to see if we required any tips or advice regarding the other cities we would be visiting during our trip.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would certainly recommend the hotel for anyone looking for a spot close to the action.

Our stay at L’Hotel du Lac in Hanoi was wonderful from start to finish. From the moment we checked in until the day we left, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Everyone was super friendly, attentive, and always happy to help with anything we needed.

One thing we really appreciated was how easy it was to exchange money at the hotel. Since many of the shops and small vendors in the area only accept cash, this made things very convenient for exploring the neighborhood.

The location is fantastic. It’s just steps from Hoan Kiem Lake and surrounded by history, shopping, and amazing food options right outside the front door. It made it incredibly easy to walk everywhere and experience the energy of Hanoi.

We also loved the rooftop bar. It had a great atmosphere with plenty of drink options, and Tuesday night game night made it even more fun. Our room on the 12th floor was amazing, very clean, comfortable, and felt like a home away from home. The balcony gave us a great view of the city, which was a nice way to start or end the day.

The spa is open most of the day, which is great for travelers, though unfortunately we didn’t have enough time in our schedule to try it.

When it was time for us to leave, the staff truly went above and beyond. Several members of the team walked us out and even gave us a farewell gift, which was such a thoughtful touch.

We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend L’Hotel du Lac to anyone visiting Hanoi.

Staff are super friendly and accommodating! Our room has an internal window but still tucked in a very quiet location. Very clean and well decorated. Really loved the complimentary fruits.

I want to mention Jolie who has super nice during our check in and the way she explained the famous locations and also tips on buying the dried fruits…we really appreciated it.

This 4 star hotel feels like a 5 star for us! Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Next time we will come back to Hanoi, we will stay here!

Our stay was great in the Sunset Suite. We were greeted promptly and treated with kind hospitality. The reaccommodation for dining was spot on. The staff was truly amazing, and we will definitely stay again.
