I recently stayed at Casa Posada del Mar and had a very positive experience. Our room was located on the ground floor, directly in front of the pool, which made it convenient and enjoyable.

The highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly its central location — just a few meters from the ferry and right across from the beach. This was the main reason we chose it, and it did not disappoint.

Although it is one of the original hotels on Isla Mujeres, it is well maintained. We encountered no issues with amenities: the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the water pressure was strong.

Overall, Casa Posada del Mar offers excellent value for money. Its combination of prime location, reliable facilities, and upkeep makes it a solid choice for visitors to Isla Mujeres.

Stayed with the family . Across the street from the beach convenient and has a pool. The pool is public I'm thinking they sell day pass that's what makes it busy and a little dirty is not just for guest. The positive side to it is that my son got to play with a lot of kids and he enjoyed it !! You can walk to the food seen from the back is steps away convenient. Stayed 9 days.the cleaning room people are the best.

Everything was great except the TV didn't work well. Fuzzy screen, would blackout after a few minutes, sound was good. Maintenance wouldn't repair or change out for a new TV. Would also be nice if a coffee machine in the room.

We had ground level on the poolside and was very quiet. All the staff was courteous and helpful. We enjoyed our stay as it was convenient to the beaches and downtown areas. Air condititionin was great. There is a safe in the room and night security at the entrance.

Some surprises were no coffee for the coffee maker but the attached restaurant had coffee to go for 40 pesos. the TV reception was fuzzy but was able to login to my own netflix, ran out of water once, and we had to get used to not putting toilet paper in the toilet.

aside from the surprises I would stay there again.

Hotel is old and tired. Rooms were clean, but again, tired. The location is what sold us on this hotel and we knew we would only be sleeping and showering there, so we were not looking for luxury.

There are no elevators, so glad we had a first floor room. A/c worked great!

It’s Totally up t o you how much you want to spend in vacation where you going to estay , in a his hotel the roms are cleaned , close to many restaurants at Main Street ,

Great location! Beach directly across the street! North beach, all shops, and great restaurants are all within a 1-10 minute walk. Staff is very friendly. Room was cleaned daily. AC worked perfectly! Stayed for 9 nights..very pleased with our stay. Our 5th time staying at Posada Del Mar!
It's not a fancy place but if you're on vacation to just chill & relax it is well worth it!
We will definitely be staying here again!

Room was ok. Clean but needs updated. Very firm mattress & only a sheet & very thin blanket, had to ask for another. Staff would only speak when spoken to…no hello or inquiring on our stay etc. Had to ask about a WiFi code. Pool bar was only open twice.
Ran out of beach towels for guests couple times.
Good location to everything but not worth the money especially when NOTHING is included, beach chairs, food or even coffee. Will not be staying there again.

This place needs a lot of work—it’s clearly run down. The only real positive is the beachfront location, but beyond that, it’s very dirty and poorly maintained. I saw a cockroach in the restroom and there were a lot of mosquitoes. I would not recommend this place and wouldn’t stay here again.

The room is super basic, no frills, but has a clean bed and a hot shower and what else do you need when you are in the tropics? We walked out to the view of the Caribbean and are right on the most beautiful beaches in Mexico and in walking distance of all the fun shops and restaurants and culture of the island. The staff is super helpful and nice, the drinks are cold and amazing and the food we did have was great. It’s a great place if you’re traveling on a bit of a budget. Thank you. Posade Del Mar, we truly enjoyed our time at your hotel and on your amazing island!

I had a wonderful stay at Posada Del Mar! The highlight of the experience was absolutely the beach view—it was breathtaking.

The atmosphere of the hotel was charming and laid-back, perfect for a getaway. Everything felt clean and well-kept, and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout the stay.

Jorge was absolutely fantastic as both our bartender and server! From the moment we sat down, he was friendly, attentive, and made us feel completely welcome. He had great energy and a genuine personality that really added to our experience.

His drink recommendations were spot on, and everything was made perfectly. He stayed on top of everything without ever making us feel rushed, and you could tell he really cares about providing great service.

Jorge truly went above and beyond to make our time enjoyable. If you get the chance to be served by him, you’re in for a great experience!

Posada Del Mar was the perfect hotel for our vacation in Isla Mujeres!!! Close to the ferry and within walking distance. Across the street from the most beautiful beach and beach views! We were offered the first floor and it was so convenient because we were able to park our golf cart on the property right by our room. There is a restaurant and bar on the property as well next to their beautiful pool! Shopping, food, music, water, and fun is all close to this hotel! Water pressure is excellent and there was plenty of hot water. Check in was fast and easy. We were offered extra towels, etc. anything we needed for our room. We felt safe at night and the room was comfortable. There was a mini fridge in the room and 2 beds. the beds were comfortable. For the price, location, and fun this place is in the top 10! It was my first time to Isla Mujer and it was a wonderful experience that I will never forget!
Some isla tips:
-Bring sun screen and your own snorkel set, they r expensive here
-dont forget pajamas
-you dont need to bring towels just buy them here
-dont pack too much, for women a lot of bathingsuits, tops, shorts, and swim covers, flip flops. also, they have cute cothes for wome here so you could buy a lot of stuff here to save space.
-whatever you dont want to take home, just leave for the staff and dont throw it away.
-you really dont need a whole lot when packing. simple stuff.
-a go pro or underwater camera is a must have!!
-shop around for bargains, dont settle

The hotel of which we’ve stayed a couple years ago has unfortunately deteriorated a bit as it’s time has evolved. However its proximity to the public beach across the street is as good as it could get. There is a restaurant I believe is part of the property and on the plaza level is for a view while eating is to be very impressive overlooking the ocean and the bay.

This is the cheapest and best hotel you could possibly stay at on Isla Mujeres. You are no more than a 30 second walk from both the west beach and playa Norte. You have private pool inside of the hotel’s courtyard for you and other guests, the staff comes to the room in the mid afternoon every day and provides cleans sheets, fresh towels, and tidied up.

The staff and front desk are very friendly and more than willing to give recommendations. You are perfectly situated at the heart of the northern part of the island where all of the local restaurants and 7-Eleven and other shops for souvenirs are located

There is AC in the front desk provides fresh towels as many times a day as you ask. The single thing to know is the beds are quite stiff and the pillows are a bit fluffy so if you like a thin pillow and a soft mattress, you will not enjoy the beds.

I was impressed with how nice the room was given the rating. I had a great balcony with a view of the pool area. The AC was too cold for my liking so I kept it off. I only had one issue: theres only a few minutes of hot water. I like to shower right before bed. Did not enjoy the cold midnight shower. I also don’t think they have an elevator, maybe they do but we were directed to stairwell. Not fun with luggage after traveling with kids. But I would definitely stay here again due to how nice the rooms are, the location, and the price. I only stayed one night until my room at another hotel was ready. But overall I got an excellent nights sleep and it met my expectations.

Also the pool area side says no alcohol in pool but what they mean is no outside alcohol allowed at the pool. This should be on the sign. They want you to purchase from their pool bar.

The property needs some repairs and updates. The bathroom faucets leaked, so did the shower.
Pigeons poop gathered on the sidewalk outside our small porch after a rain, along with debris from their nest.
The room is ample, beds are comfortable and the shower has abundant hot water.

Great location, beach across the road, downtown area 2 minutes walk, staff really friendly, hotel restaurant food was good and priced fairly comparable with other restaurants on the island, hotel needs TLC, affordable place comparing to other places, regular rooms, nothing special, everything was working, its safe , pool and pool area was nice and quite, we really enjoyed our vacation, family of 4 , 2 kids 12,15, so many things to do on the island, we definitely will be back.

Great AC. The room was decent but the bathroom was not great. Large area of tile missing in the shower. The toilet seat was obviously too small for the toilet. It was aligned on one edge of the rim and an inch too short on the other. When you sat down, it slipped to the side. My husband tightened it multiple times as it was loose. I did report it but instead of replacing it, they just tightened it again. The glass in the shower hadn’t been cleaned prior to our arrival and the balcony was full of pigeon poop. It was eventually cleaned on day 5 and beyond of our 9 day stay. The staff was nice. My Spanish is not great and some staff didn’t understand English but we seemed to understand each other. Romy the bartender/waiter was EXCELLENT!!! The location was EXCELLENT, right across from the beach. I would definitely stay again and would recommend it to others.

I would recommend staying there it’s across from the beach has a restaurant on property. Rooms were clean pool area was nice with lots of tables to sit at and lounge chairs . Pool was clean . On negative side no elevator and it’s a 3 story hotel. And although each room had a balcony the 3 rd floor room balcony was cover in pegion dirt and you could not sit out on it. But over all I would definitely stay there again .

Stayed for 4 nights in early March. The room had a weird water leak on the floor. We had to have a towel on the floor all of the time to keep some what dry. When taking a shower the entire bathroom floor would be covered in water due to the way the shower was set up. Room was kept very clean. Minimal contact with staff. Overall okay stay for the price.

Great location. 2 minutes from Playa Norte. You can walk to everything you need. Restaurants all around.
The pool is not the best. Looked dirty but who wants to use the pool when yhe beach is across the street.
The man with the little souvenir store rents beach chairs or umbrellas for 8 dollars. Wort it if you are planing to stay at the beach all day.

When we got there the front desk lady was rude. She had an attitude and was short with us..
I went and talk to an older lady that was there she was nice and gave us the wifi passcode and told us where the pool was and that we could use towels.
Anyways will stay there again just because of location and price.

This place was PERFECTLY located. We got a room on the first floor, so when you open your sliding door out to your little porch you’re right in front of the pool, then right across the street is the actual beach. Absolutely perfect! The rooms are run down a bit but I know salt water does that to properties. Will definitely stay here again!

The location is wonderful, but the overall experience was odd and disappointing. Wi-Fi was only reliable near the lobby or restaurant, so I often had to sit outside my room on the porch just to connect. The outdoor lights stayed on constantly, which made it feel like being under a spotlight at night and made it hard to tell the time of day. The shower pressure was extremely strong while the sink barely ran, and there was no rack to hang towels even though they left piles of them daily. One day what appeared to be dirty laundry was left in the middle of my porch where I had to sit to get Wi-Fi. The safe in my room didn’t work and staff didn’t address it, which made me uncomfortable having housekeeping come in. The TV also barely worked and mostly showed static. The location is great, but the stay felt disorganized and unreliable. Honestly, I felt like I might have had a better experience staying at a nearby hostel.

Staff courteous, sheets never got changed all week, location is excellent. I wished the third floor balcony got cleaned from all the pigeon poop.
