The staff was superb. Nora, at the front desk, is bilingual and was simply outstanding. She was so helpful and friendly with solving any problem. Omar, the tour guide was one of the best that I have had in any country. Very knowledgeable the such a nice person. Nordati at the front desk is excellent too. Ayarti at the breakfast area is very nice too. The food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was superb. The people working in the restaurant are very good too. The guy that closes the gym on Wednesday night is very helpful. There is a great view of the ocean and sunset from the property. There are many nice areas where you can sit outside and relax. The guys who do the landscaping and yard are very good, the property looks perfect. There is an artist who sells her beautiful paintings in the lobby. The staff at this hotel are excellent

This hotel was a fortress at the end of the road. Safe. But not really connected to the city. Is that even possible in Moroni? If you’re intent on going to Comoros, this is definitely a good place to stay.

The WiFi was very spotty, the tiles around the pool were in rough shape, unstable in some areas. We had to change rooms because the AC in the first room was not getting cool enough. Getting out of the tub is dangerous, requires one to be very careful because the tub is slippery and the floor is lower than the tub floor… the towel rack saved my wife and I.

It's decent

Hotel has seen some better days, but it's ok. Some stains in the room, staff gets the job done but not overly friendly. Wifi is ok most times. The area out back is really pretty. Overall, it's not bad, but it's seen some better days and could with a little touch-up.

Beautiful place to relax next to the ocean

The hotel is one of the best in town and the grounds are very nice. But the swimmingpool was all green with algae and even though they cleaned it out, the algae came back after one day, so we could only use it for two swims. Something is not working with the pool, and the hotel should get it fixed a.s.a.p.
The staff was very friendly but the rooms need renovating, especially the bathrooms.
The hotel does not serve alcohol, but it is possible to by food and alcohol at the small grillbar halfway up the mainstreet from Retaj Moroni, where the owner speeks English.

The convenience of the property for meetings - and its proximity to the sea made the stay 'ok'. There is a pool, but it wasn't clear whether women could bathe there in a swimming costume. The gym looks well equipped but hotel guests only get one free pass per stay (not convenient for a 5 day visit!). The food, whilst tasty, is a constant $15 buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The WIFI works well in the reception and dining room, but as your room gets further from these areas, so the wifi signal diminishes. I first stayed in Room 109 - very bad internet; but on my return was in Room 103 and the internet worked fine! There was always hot water in the shower and the bed linen is crisp and clean!

Bathrooms very shabby, but at least the hot water and air-conditioning worked.
Desk staff were friendly and helpful, but the office 'lost' my booking and were not helpful in sorting out the problem.

Its nice hotel in Moroni but rooms need renovation. House keeping do not really pay attention in cleaning. I noticed that they only fix bed but cleaning bathroom and bathtub they don't. Walls on the bathtub area are dirty and looks like never been cleaned. Buffet is good. Swimming pool needs to be cleaned really good as it did not look like it was for a long time. Females that work there need to adhere to modern standard and stop wearing million outfits while working there, it is hot and with long traditional dresses it does not suit them to clean properly and work better. They need to separate their religion from international work standard and have proper hotel dress code.

Beautiful sunset view

Hotel is very near some restaurants, less than 200 m away. Only the nearest restaurant sells alcoholic drinks and you can mix with the friendly locals. There is a large garden facing the ocean within the hotel compound suitable for morning and evening stroll, with sunset view.

This hotel may be best one in Moroni. The only negative thing I can say is that the food at breakfast, lunch and dinner was uninspiring - very few choices.

not bad for the only option in the area

probably the only option in the area, and is fine. room and bathroom were clean but fixtures old (will not soak in bathtub). food is not fine. note this hotel does not serve alcohol. Comoros imports most things, so amenities, beverage and food choices limited. make sure you bring cash and Euros. USD exchange in hotel is not advisable (really low rate).

More than satisfactory given the options

There are few options in Moroni, and this was hotel was more than acceptable. The main problem that I had was that the air conditioner did not work well, there were too many mosquitoes in the room (no bed net was provided, only mosquito repellent), and the WiFi was very poor.

Well it is Moroni

First thing to remember is that this is Moroni, so don't expect a palace! Given that it is Moroni, this hotel meets your needs. Yes it's basic and yes the local area isn't great (but it is Moroni so no where is great) but the staff are friendly and they meet your needs. If you are coming to Moroni this is one of the two best places.

Mold and Mildew everywhere

This hotel should be condemned because of the mold and mildew. My room had black mold and mildew on the ceilings, and walls. The bathroom had it on the floor, walls and ceiling. I was sick the whole time I was there. This hotel was the worst place I have ever stayed in. I have been to194 countries and this is the WORST!!!

The hotel is well located and the personal is very helpful and dedicated. The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious, the bed is comfy. The restaurant is good, with not many options for lunch and dinner but the breakfast is diversified and has many good options. The only minus is the bathroom cleaning, that could be improved. Overall is a good hotel for short and longer stays.

Je ne retiens que l'hygiène et propreté déplorables de la salle de bain. Traces de dentifrice sur le mirroir de la salle de bain. Douche bouchée. Nous avons retrouvé un vieux savon plein de poils dans la douche. Traces sur le WC. J'espère ne plus avoir à retourner dans cet hôtel soi-disant 3 étoiles.

ロケーションが良くフロントも親切でいいのだがハエなど飛び回る虫が多い蚊はあまりいないのでマラリアの心配はなさそうだが暑いので冷えたビールを飲みたくなるがイスラムの国なのでホテルにはビールは置いていないしかしすぐ近くにハイネケンバーがあって日中から各種お酒が飲めるしまとめて購入して冷蔵庫で冷やして部屋で飲めばいい雑貨屋もすぐ近く
品揃えは大きなスーパーとかわらない

Très bon hôtel à Moroni

Très bon hôtel à Moroni avec piscine, bon accès à internet pendant mon séjour, climatisation dans les chambres, personnel très sympathique,organisation du transfert de et vers l'aéroport par taxi, change d'argent, etc. salle de sport complète. Accès à la mer très beau mais pas de plage. Hôtel très calme. Le restaurant est plutôt bon mais au bout de deux semaines, on s'en lasse. Très bon séjour au final.

Very good location and friendly staff!

The hotel is located very close to capital city (city center). The building is rather old but maintained and clean. The staff in all departments (reception, restaurant, etc) is very friendly. It was a positive experience overall to stay there.

Nice place to stay.

The hotel was very nice. A bit difficult to compare with other hotels, as there are just about no other hotels around (to be found through the Internet).
Although the place was nice, it needs refurbishing. The place starts to look and feel a bit outdated.
The swimming pool was empty. Would have been nice to use it.
The buffet dinner was very nice! Always many choices on the table.
Also the breakfast was great. Lots to choose from!
The hotel has a very nice gym. The first time is free for the hotel guests and the following days are not that expensive either.
The city itself is a bit difficult place to visit unless in an airconditioned car. There's no airconditioned places anywhere! Would have been nice to pop inside to cool down from the heat in a nice aircondition place. I only found one pharmacy and one bank (plus the hotel) which were airconditioned!

Ne sert plus d'alcool depuis 4 ans environ. Buffet du soir quelconque; pizzas sans goût ni qualités; piscine d'eau de mer remplie pour les fins de semaines; accès à la mer non aménagé; personnel très accueillant et sympathique; chambres subissant une lente dégradation par défaut de rénovations régulières; wifi et TV marchent bien, mais le choix ds chaines est principalement en langue arabe. Rapport qualité-prix peu intéressant; seuls vrais atouts : buffet de petit déjeuner très copieux et dans une seule ouverte sur les jardins et nombreux moineaux chapardeurs; grands jardins plaisants de bord de mer mais pas de bancs pour en profiter à l'ombre.

リゾートホテルで街の中心部から離れており周りに何もなし

ハハヤ空港から悪路続きで街の中心部に入り、ホテルは更にその先にある。約１時間掛かる。ホテルは敷地が広く
専用の海岸があるが、溶岩の岩でビーチはない。ホテルスタッフは親切で、部屋も清潔。一番困ったのは夕食時ビールが飲めなかったことで、イスラムだからアルコール無しには参った。ホテルを出て少し先の左側に小さなレストラン(名前も聞いていた）があり、そこでビールが飲めると聞き暗い中、歩いて行ったが見付からなかった。
また、その帰り小さな飲み物屋さんがあったので、聞いたがビールはなかった。結局、ホテルでビール無しでビュッヘスタイルとはいかず、ピザで済ませた。（翌朝、明るくなって念のためレストランを再度ずっと先まで見に行ったがやはりなかった）。

excellent accueil, gentillesse du personnel. Chambre tout à fait correcte mais Baignoire écaillée et sèche cheveuX inutilisable. Nourriture quelconque et absence de tout alcool, y compris vin ou bière.
