The resort itself is beautiful, but unfortunately the service did not meet the expectations of a five-star all-inclusive property.

We experienced several service issues throughout our stay. Room service on our first night arrived more than two hours late after we had already canceled the order, waking us at nearly 2:00 a.m. Housekeeping also removed our bathrobes while we were still checked in without any explanation.

Our dinner at Encanto was disappointing due to an unprofessional server who was rude, moved our belongings around the table, and failed to explain the tasting menu. We left before completing the meal because the experience was so unpleasant.

The biggest issue occurred on our departure day. Multiple staff members assured us we could use the resort facilities until 7:00 p.m. before our airport transfer. However, when we went to have dinner, we were told the policy was actually 6:00 p.m., denied service, and escorted out of the resort.

The property is stunning, but the inconsistent communication and poor customer service overshadowed what should have been a relaxing luxury vacation.

Toda una grata experiencia, empeznado por el recibimiento, continuando por el hospedaje, hasta el check out. La comida en todos los restaurantes, incluyendo el room service; increible. Las bebidas increible, todos te tratan muy bien y te ayudan con cualquier duda que tengas. Si tienen la oportunidad de ir y hospedarse, haganlo. Mi unica recomendacion es que durante su estadia no hagan reservaciones a parques lejos como Xelha o Xoximilco, tour a xenotes o isla mujeres ya que te toma bastantes horas en el dia. En cambio Parque Xcaret, Xplor o Xenses estan ahi cerca y puedes ir y regresarte al hotel facilmente con el transporte que pasa cada 20 minutos. No olviden hacer su reservaciones a los restaurantes del hotel con tiempo. Saludos

Very nice hotel but for a property that charges almost $1200 for one night stay in Mexico the amenities and food quality at some restaurants were pretty poor, if this hotel was $500-$600 then it would be a great stay. Bottom line parks are great but food and fun and facilities are lacking nd a lot of things are for extra pay, like for example if you want to order wine after 11pm, it’s not possible, only if you buy a bottle, bottle of Belvedere vodka to the room is $160. There is no pool or beach place with a nice music vibe, everything is pretty quiet, so if you want a more party hotel I’d go with Hard Rock or something

My wife and I recently stayed at Hotel Xcaret Arte, and the experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. If you’re looking for a peaceful, romantic, luxury resort that focuses on relaxation rather than a party atmosphere, this is the place.

The hotel was okay, nothing out of the ordinary. I think it is very overpriced for what they offer. The gym didn’t even have something as basic as cold water, and the coffee machine in the room had small insects in it. There wasn’t much variety of drinks available — only basic options — compared to other hotels I have stayed at before, where I paid much less than for this hotel. Overall, this hotel was not what I expected for the price I paid.

The place is Amazing and the food as well. Every employee was super nice. We upgraded to Casa de los Artistas to have the Ocean view. Highly recommend. Love that it’s an Adult only. You get to have your own Butler to make any reservations that you need to restaurants or Spa. They take care of everything. We are definitely coming back to enjoy more of these beautiful Resort and all of the amenities that it offers. They have other areas that are family friendly it looks Amazing as well. They truly offer so much and make you feel like home.

We decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Hotel Xcaret Arte.
We received to fill out the list of activities, and we did it, we said the reason to visit this hotel.
The day of our anniversary we went to a restaurant for dinner and to celebrate, they asked if we are celebrating something and we told them, but nothing happen, no celebration, at least we expected a plate with piece of cake and letter say \"Happy anniversary\" or something, but nothing.
For me I do not care, but for my wife is a big deal.
We tried to do this kind of trip for the last five years and this is the first time that nothing happens, very disappointed.
We have a picture where we celebrate with a piece of cake our anniversary each but not this time.
I know Xcaret wants to charge for everything, but for a piece of cake saying Happy Anniversary is too much.
And we left a Tip to the Waitress for nothing.
And is worst when see a lot of videos from other people that celebrate birthdays of Anniversaries with those kinds of attentions that we did not have.

We loved everything! The food was outstanding, but you should make reservations before the trip. The room was comfortable and clean, and we loved the two hammocks on the balcony. We took advantage of the free classes- salsa dancing, watercolor, weaving, stretching. The whole property felt lush and tropical, and we had so much fun exploring down different pathways. Be sure to visit the chapel on top of the hill! The only thing that surprised us was how expensive the basic spa services were, so we skipped those but didn't miss them at all. We would go back!

If you are looking for a resort that perfectly blends luxury, culture, and natural beauty, Hotel Xcaret Arte is truly in a league of its own. It is a massive, stunning property, and I highly recommend staying for at least a full week to actually maximize the experience and enjoy everything available.
The Culinary Experience
The food here is on another level—all-inclusive is definitely the way to go because every meal feels like a premium experience.
Tah-Xido: The Hibachi was absolutely amazing and a must-do for dinner.
El Mercado de San Juan: While the variety is great, the desserts here were a personal favorite.
The Service: Across every single restaurant, the servers were amazing. In fact, the entire staff was incredible; the housekeeping team, in particular, did a fantastic job keeping everything spotless.
The Resort & Amenities
The beauty of this resort is almost hard to describe. It is very large, but every corner is visually incredible and the amenities are top-notch. One of the coolest features is the art classes—being able to take a pottery or painting class right on-site adds a unique layer to the vacation that you don't find elsewhere.
Excursions
You cannot stay here without taking advantage of the excursions. The trips to Chichén Itzá and the cenotes were highlights of the trip—well-organized and breathtakingly beautiful.
Final Verdict: It’s a beautiful, expansive resort with fantastic staff and world-class food. If you can swing a seven-day stay, do it.

I rarely leave reviews, but I truly wish someone had warned me.

Our “welcome gift” turned into a $1,400 upsell just to access parts of the all-inclusive resort. Nowhere was it clearly explained that these amenities required an upgrade. This upgrade was also supposed to include a butler, yet we never met or heard from this person our entire stay.

Yes, the property is large and beautiful, but the lack of signage and helpful staff made it frustrating to navigate. We got lost multiple times, and even a staff member trying to help us had to call for directions.

The food was very underwhelming. Every buffet felt exactly the same, and even the wedding we attended had food identical to the buffets. The bride also struggled with poor coordination from her wedding planner, and the wedding party lost about 3.5 hours of scheduled time due to disorganization.

Customer service was disappointing. Staff rarely greeted guests, avoided eye contact, and basic hospitality like a smile or a simple hello was missing. Housekeeping only serviced our room once during our 4-day stay, which was right after check-in.

Checkout was just as cold. No one asked about our stay or thanked us, but they were quick to push a timeshare presentation.

Overall, this resort seems to rely on its size rather than service or quality. The food felt mass-produced and the customer service did not match the price.

We were actually pretty disappointed overall with our stay here...

At first, we thought the resort was very nice. But in the first 5 minutes upon entering our room, we discovered 3 different things that were broken, and then more things over the course of our 4-day stay. We also heard this from many other guests as well that they were having the same issues. We also found that the room wasn't very clean... our comforter was dirty and there was someone else's hair blowing around the bathroom floor.

Outside of our room, the resort is EXTREMELY confusing, and the map and spiel that they give you when you check-in isn't helpful at all. We got lost at least 10 different times and had to ask for help any time we tried to get ANYWHERE, and everything is a walk or far apart.

There's also not much for nightlife here, there's only like 2 places we found to grab food or drinks at night, and the food overall was extremely disappointing and unimpressive. We even spent $350 USD one night on dinner, and they served us two tiny little plates of food and we were still hungry when we left.

I will say that the staff are all extremely friendly and helpful, but we would not stay here again.

We LOVED our vacation at Xcaret Arte Resort. From the moment you arrive at the airport you have a shuttle pick you up and take you to the hotel where you will be welcomed with a moist towel, a treat and ice cream popsicle. And that fragrance in the lobby! It smells so good. Every area of the hotel has its own distinct fragrance. The All Inclusive Package was just that, all inclusive. Down to your toothbrush and slippers. The Xcaret parks are so beautiful! We visited three plus the Chichen Itza pyramids. All of this plus transportation to the parks is included in your package. It is pricey but well worth it for what it included. We would definitely take this trip again.

This hotel was probably the best place I have ever stayed at. The property was immaculate, there were so many members of staff ensuring everyone there had an amazing stay. Our room was cleaned and restocked twice a day with fresh water and snacks. The hotel itself is massive but feels boutique in a way due to how it’s split by casa’s with individual roof top pools and lobbies. The main pool and restaurant areas are so clean and beautifully designed.
Everything was so thought out from someone coming round to clean sunglasses by the pool to refillable water bottles that can be filled up on site and around the parks. The restaurants were all wonderful, Arenal was our favourite for dinner but Mercado the Mexican buffet offered everything and more that you could ask for and this was our go to spot for breakfast. Any restaurant you go to will be a great experience. The transport to and from the parks is smooth and organised. We did a textile workshop one lunch time and it was lovely, the little bag they give you to bring your creation home is just as good as what you make!
We stayed 10 nights and did 6 different parks/tours with still more we could have done. We were honestly so sad to leave and would recommend this place to anyone thinking about it.

Our stay included 2 rooftop pools and they shut down access to one of them during our stay for a private event for all the days we were there. One day is bad luck, but our entire stay? This hotel was so expensive because of the included amenities. Plus they have an entire section dedicated to ‘exclusive access’ and on top of that they shut down another pool?

And everytime we asked for helped we were always redirected to another staff member.

An example of this: we brought cash to tip the staff, we went to concierge to ask, they directed us to reception. Reception directed us to the boutique shop. The shop directed us back to concierge. No one wants to actually help. They just want you to go away and not be a bother, but they still want us to tip, and participate in the time share lunches and sell you stuff when you already paid to be at this expensive hotel. The food there also messed up our stomachs pretty bad. We went with a group and it effected everyone.

The hotel is very nice. But the staff and the food quality are disappointing at best.

We just returned from a weeklong trip to Xcaret Arte. What a beautiful resort! We had the basic Garden Suite and the room was gorgeous! The food was the best we have ever had at an all-inclusive resort. The staff at the resort is very friendly and they go out of their way to make your stay special. I enjoyed the swim out room, the food was excellent and the pools. I did not enjoy that you can't order food at the poolside, just drinks. I also didn't enjoy the check in/check out process. There wasn't a clear desk to go to. We had someone walk us a very long way to our room and he did not use that time to explain the restaurant locations or activities at the hotel which would have been a great time. We stayed in our small area of the resort because we felt confused. When it was time to check out, we had no idea where to go and were told 3 different places. That should be very clear and easy process, especially when your car is waiting for you to go to the airport.
