This property is absolutely amazing. This is by far the best food I’ve ever had at an all inclusive. The beach area at the resort is extremely clean and beautiful. The rooms are gorgeous. The access to their parks is a nice touch, but the resort itself is so nice you honestly don’t even need to leave.

This place completely ruined every other trip for me… in the best (and worst) way possible. I genuinely grieve leaving it. Nothing compares.

The food? Unreal—every single bite was perfect. The staff? Beyond exceptional—so attentive, so warm, truly over the top in the best way. And the aesthetic and atmosphere? Absolutely stunning… it felt like a dream the entire time.

I loved everything about this place and this trip. If I could relive it over and over again, I would without hesitation.

I rarely leave reviews, but I truly wish someone had warned me.

Our “welcome gift” turned into a $1,400 upsell just to access parts of the all-inclusive resort. Nowhere was it clearly explained that these amenities required an upgrade. This upgrade was also supposed to include a butler, yet we never met or heard from this person our entire stay.

Yes, the property is large and beautiful, but the lack of signage and helpful staff made it frustrating to navigate. We got lost multiple times, and even a staff member trying to help us had to call for directions.

The food was very underwhelming. Every buffet felt exactly the same, and even the wedding we attended had food identical to the buffets. The bride also struggled with poor coordination from her wedding planner, and the wedding party lost about 3.5 hours of scheduled time due to disorganization.

Customer service was disappointing. Staff rarely greeted guests, avoided eye contact, and basic hospitality like a smile or a simple hello was missing. Housekeeping only serviced our room once during our 4-day stay, which was right after check-in.

Checkout was just as cold. No one asked about our stay or thanked us, but they were quick to push a timeshare presentation.

Overall, this resort seems to rely on its size rather than service or quality. The food felt mass-produced and the customer service did not match the price.

We were actually pretty disappointed overall with our stay here...

At first, we thought the resort was very nice. But in the first 5 minutes upon entering our room, we discovered 3 different things that were broken, and then more things over the course of our 4-day stay. We also heard this from many other guests as well that they were having the same issues. We also found that the room wasn't very clean... our comforter was dirty and there was someone else's hair blowing around the bathroom floor.

Outside of our room, the resort is EXTREMELY confusing, and the map and spiel that they give you when you check-in isn't helpful at all. We got lost at least 10 different times and had to ask for help any time we tried to get ANYWHERE, and everything is a walk or far apart.

There's also not much for nightlife here, there's only like 2 places we found to grab food or drinks at night, and the food overall was extremely disappointing and unimpressive. We even spent $350 USD one night on dinner, and they served us two tiny little plates of food and we were still hungry when we left.

I will say that the staff are all extremely friendly and helpful, but we would not stay here again.

We LOVED our vacation at Xcaret Arte Resort. From the moment you arrive at the airport you have a shuttle pick you up and take you to the hotel where you will be welcomed with a moist towel, a treat and ice cream popsicle. And that fragrance in the lobby! It smells so good. Every area of the hotel has its own distinct fragrance. The All Inclusive Package was just that, all inclusive. Down to your toothbrush and slippers. The Xcaret parks are so beautiful! We visited three plus the Chichen Itza pyramids. All of this plus transportation to the parks is included in your package. It is pricey but well worth it for what it included. We would definitely take this trip again.

This hotel was probably the best place I have ever stayed at. The property was immaculate, there were so many members of staff ensuring everyone there had an amazing stay. Our room was cleaned and restocked twice a day with fresh water and snacks. The hotel itself is massive but feels boutique in a way due to how it’s split by casa’s with individual roof top pools and lobbies. The main pool and restaurant areas are so clean and beautifully designed.
Everything was so thought out from someone coming round to clean sunglasses by the pool to refillable water bottles that can be filled up on site and around the parks. The restaurants were all wonderful, Arenal was our favourite for dinner but Mercado the Mexican buffet offered everything and more that you could ask for and this was our go to spot for breakfast. Any restaurant you go to will be a great experience. The transport to and from the parks is smooth and organised. We did a textile workshop one lunch time and it was lovely, the little bag they give you to bring your creation home is just as good as what you make!
We stayed 10 nights and did 6 different parks/tours with still more we could have done. We were honestly so sad to leave and would recommend this place to anyone thinking about it.

The experience was great, especially the food. The only negative experience we had was with the guy who took us to our room. He became very pushy when trying to convince us to attend a time share meeting and then got upset and said “well this isn’t for everyone” and stormed out the room. He seemed high and had a strong odor coming from his mouth like he’d been smoking.

Our stay included 2 rooftop pools and they shut down access to one of them during our stay for a private event for all the days we were there. One day is bad luck, but our entire stay? This hotel was so expensive because of the included amenities. Plus they have an entire section dedicated to ‘exclusive access’ and on top of that they shut down another pool?

And everytime we asked for helped we were always redirected to another staff member.

An example of this: we brought cash to tip the staff, we went to concierge to ask, they directed us to reception. Reception directed us to the boutique shop. The shop directed us back to concierge. No one wants to actually help. They just want you to go away and not be a bother, but they still want us to tip, and participate in the time share lunches and sell you stuff when you already paid to be at this expensive hotel. The food there also messed up our stomachs pretty bad. We went with a group and it effected everyone.

The hotel is very nice. But the staff and the food quality are disappointing at best.

We just returned from a weeklong trip to Xcaret Arte. What a beautiful resort! We had the basic Garden Suite and the room was gorgeous! The food was the best we have ever had at an all-inclusive resort. The staff at the resort is very friendly and they go out of their way to make your stay special. The free transportation and entrance to the various Xcaret parks was the cherry on top. We highly recommend this resort. I can’t wait to return!

I enjoyed the swim out room, the food was excellent and the pools. I did not enjoy that you can't order food at the poolside, just drinks. I also didn't enjoy the check in/check out process. There wasn't a clear desk to go to. We had someone walk us a very long way to our room and he did not use that time to explain the restaurant locations or activities at the hotel which would have been a great time. We stayed in our small area of the resort because we felt confused. When it was time to check out, we had no idea where to go and were told 3 different places. That should be very clear and easy process, especially when your car is waiting for you to go to the airport.

Xcaret Arte exceeded every expectation. The food and drinks were consistently excellent—high quality, well-prepared, and abundant throughout the stay. What truly sets this resort apart, though, is the staff. The hotel team, the transportation crew, and every single staff member at the affiliated Xcaret parks were exceptional: professional, friendly, attentive, and genuinely proud of what they do. Transportation was seamless and well-organized, making it incredibly easy to enjoy the parks without stress. The entire experience felt thoughtful, immersive, and first-class from start to finish. We had an amazing time. Everything was above expectations. The transportation system was amazing along with the people who drove the buses. Our room clean beds were so comfortable I wanted to take them home. I wish we stayed two more days to enjoy and explore the hotel activities, they looked amazing. The only thing I was disappointed with was restaurant reservations, I was told we could make them when we arrived, it later found out I should had made them prior, the nice restaurants were booked. It the restaurants we did go to were great.

We were so excited about trying out this property because we heard so many fun reviews about it. We stayed at the Arte adult only hotel. I stayed with my family including two sons ages 21 and 25. We were all pretty disappointed about the overall stay and were all pretty surprised about the hype. The rooms were nice and when we could get into a restaurant the food was pretty good. The buffet served the same thing every single day and night. The alcohol and service was good. They need ore guidance on how to set up the parks and restaurants. We were told we could not go to several of the parks because it was full ? Why did we pay to stay here if that was the case? We were not able to get into all the restaurants and it was NOT because it was too busy. There was 0 night time shows or entertainment so that made for a pretty boring evening...every night. We were there over New Years Eve and were told there was no special show or dinner unless you wanted to pay an EXTRA $250 PER PERSON. This seemed pretty ridiculous. The parks we were able to go to had some fun things. The water slide and the zip lining was fun. The other things to do at the parks just seemed like a local theme park for young kids. I would not go back to this resort. We were all very disappointed.

It was our first time staying at this resort. Which was our second option by the way. We usually stay at the Secrets Moxché in playa del Carmen.
From the time we got to the resort it was a long check in process and felt very unorganized. We left our bags for a few hours since our room was not ready. We tried calling the resort a couple of times while we were out exploring to check in on our room & make a dinner reservation (which was recommended by staff) at one of their reservation only restaurants. And both times the staff said they could not find our reservation, which was already paid for and check in for was filled out btw. Once we got to our room , there was a dead cockroach on our floor entering the room and bottle caps left around the tub ( we hadn’t even opened anything). We left the cockroach there as everyday they do housekeeping , just to check if they would catch it the second time. Once we came back on day two of our stay the cockroach was still there and so were the bottle caps. One can only wonder as to how well they actually clean the rooms. The breakfast buffet was beautiful with the aesthetic, but the food was mediocre. Not so authentic as one would think, especially being in a more rustic resort. When we checked out of the room we let the person at the front desk know about the cockroach and even showed pictures of it untouched and all he said was “I’m sorry”. That’s it ?!? We paid over $1,100 USD a night and that all we got. Needless to say wont be back

Room was clean. Staff was helpful. Amenities were overwhelming. Really be sure of what room you want before you book. We stayed at “Las Artistas” which I guess is a upgrade. I initially booked a SPA Garden Suite Adult, but everyone in our group booked Las Artistas. So we upgraded? Not really sure how it was an upgraded but we did it. The initial room in SPA Garden Suite, in my opinion was better than the River Suite “Las Artistas”.
Upgrading our room allowed us in at the roof top pool, and eat a a couple speciality restaurants. The Artistas roof top pool is pretty cool but you have to be there as soon as it opens or before day light, because there is only about 10-12 spots. Upgrade Dining: To be honest it was kind of a let down for a signature/speciality restaurant like Kibi to be just “OK/average” nothing I ate made me say; “Man, I’m so glad we got the upgrade so we could eat here.” My wife and I did eat at Encanta the first night we were there. We didn’t have reservations, the “Butler” is the best perk of the upgrade. He took care of getting us in. “Yes” Encanta’s in my opinion was by-far the best meal during the stay “above average”. The rest of the group (6) never got in to eat there. If they had split up the group, my guess is they would have gotten a reservation. I’m not mad about having to upgrade our room and definitely not a “food snob”or “World Traveler” but in my opinion upgrading to “Artitas” wasn’t worth it.
