The Residence Inn was wonderful, the room was clean and the staff was friendly, but the front desk food and snack selection was poor with much of the shelf space empty. The gym was adequate however for the size of the hotel, the gym was very small with only 3 pieces of equipment, an adjustable bench snd and a dumbbell set. The jacuzzi was great the outdoor pool nice. Finally, breakfast was excellent with eggs, waffles ( only on weekends?! ), oatmeal, grits, and rotating hot food. And it was a pleasant short walk to the Villages in SanDestin. The coffee was excellent. I would definitely rate this an excellent place to stay.

While this hotel was remodeled a few years ago, the bones a rough. I was here for 16 days and was able to really settle in.
The elevators need to be replaced; there are issues. On multiple occasions the elevators attempted to descend with the doors open and other times the control panel doesn’t recognize the floor that was selected. Ventilation was rough; smelled all sorts of meals being cooked in surrounding rooms. If you want to listen to dogs bark; this is the place to go; pet friendly for sure! Avoid spring break weeks here; large crowds/parties booked 3 rooms conveniently placed all around me and it was party central in the rooms and hallways. No respect for other guests. My particular room location; the window a wouldn’t close 100% so the weed being smoked in the courtyard came right in! Hotel addressed with the guests and it stopped but at 11:00pm and airing my room out until 1am wasn’t ideal.
Rooms are nice/decorated well and spacious. Laundry is new! Breakfast was robust; a lot of options and staff is very friendly and helpful! Parking was good as well, no issues.

Upon arrival 4:45pm our room wasn’t ready when check in is at 4pm. We ended up checking in later in the evening and we didn’t have any bedding for the sofa couch. All the staff was helpful but nothing above and beyond. The facility was decent and breakfast was good. Our shower curtain was old and water ran all over the floor. The kids enjoyed the pool and adults enjoyed the hot tub. It was a great location around everything we needed. We were there for a wedding. Beach was 10 mins mainly to find parking. Walmart 6 minutes if you forgot something. Plenty of food options and entertainment close by.

Kitchen wasn’t needed by us but it was an excellent perk and had all the needed things inside of it. The staff was very friendly, always greeted and checked on when passing through. We didn’t use the laundry room, but we did use the pool. Could used more cleaning but overall loved it. The hot tub was also a plus.

All in all it was a good stay despite some of the minor issues that can be fixed with some training and maintenance requests. The elevator was extremely slow, and having one ice machine for the entire hotel was something that needs to be addressed immediately. The hotel upkeep was ultimately great. The hotels also ask for how many people would be in my stay but didn’t accommodate all people initially with sheets blankets pillows and extra towels. If it asks how many people it should cover all those in the stay. The AC Unit was super loud but it did keep the room ice cold. Temperature was great just the noise was more than necessary.

My wife and I were there 3 nights/4 days and our room was never cleaned. When we attempted to request for room service on 2/14, we were told “rooms are cleaned every other day and our room was on the list to be cleaned that day.” We left the hotel at 10:30a and returned at 9p to an uncleaned room. A call was made to the front desk, and clean towels & bathing clothes were delivered. Trash was not emptied nor were the sheets on the bed changed…not cool!!!

Loved this room and Hotel. I am never disappointed with Residence Inns and this one was superb in every way. The beds/pillows were extremely comfortable. It was very clean and well maintained. Great location, attentive staff, a hardy breakfast each day, and great laundry facilities. I specifically asked for an end room and was told they didn’t have one. I was given room 121 and after unloading our stuff my husband said we’re not staying in this room and showed me the hair and toenail clippings all over the living room area. Absolutely disgusting. I went to the front desk and asked for another room and was put in 101, and end room, which I was told they didn’t have… that room was cleaner than the other one but still had hair in the bathroom and fingernails in the living room. I don’t know why it’s so hard to run a vacuum but they clearly aren’t doing it. We stayed at the hotel the week before and had no issue so not sure what happened but we wouldn’t recommend this hotel after this last experience.

Our tubs had white patches and stains (308), the rugs were disgusting (rugs shouldn’t be in hotel rooms) there was a bottle of bleach left in our room in a bottom cabinet our baby almost got ahold of, the sheets didn’t fit right, the “comforter” had rips all in it.

We checked in on Sunday evening, turned on the heat in our room and the smoke detector went off! was told by the front desk this happens every time the heat turned on for the first time in a season. Experienced the electricity going out in the hotel, having to request multiple times for clean towels, because housekeeping only cleans every other day, and when they did clean our room, the most they did was pick up the dirty towels, If they are trash, leaving us bags to put inside the trash cans and made our bed.
We also experienced the local sheriffs department, going to a room across from ours, pounding on the door and demanding a guest open up that went on for approximately 20 minutes until she finally decided they weren’t going to leave.
We’re planning another trip in the future however, this hotel will not be a choice for us.. 😞
