The only downside of the hotel is that it feels somewhat enclosed, as it's surrounded by walls and fences. Additionally, it's located on a highway with limited amenities nearby, making it less convenient if you're not traveling by car.

Be careful! They are crooks

These guys are crooks! The pool was beautiful and the pizza was good. Not much else to say about them.. The newly renovated rooms appear nice but the Air Conditioner does not work.... with it on full blast the room stayed at 28°C and sounded like a car in the room (video - turn sound on!), i called for help many times and they finally sent in a technician who made it worse. After this, I called repeatedly for an update and they said they were working on it! I had translator who negotiated a room change which they were not keen on offering. Then the wifi didn’t work for 2 days and they kept telling me they were working on it.. then they told me they were running routing maintenance and knew it wasn’t working. They simply just lied. I documented all my interactions and emailed the manager who didn’t care. I asked for a reply to my complaint email (which they translated to French and printed, I witnessed all staff laughing about it) by the manager before settling the final bill (taxes only - room prepaid), the manager called security who came with their machine guns to intimidate me to pay and get me off the property. Be warned.

Stayed here for ten days. The rooms are spacious, clean, modern and very comfortable. There was not a single mosquito in my room during my entire stay. Nice pool, good breakfast selection, good food in the restaurant. Security is very tight. The hotel is located outside the city center, but it’s only 10 minutes by taxi. My room’s windows were facing west and I had the most beautiful views of the sunset every evening.

The good: its probably one of the more secure hotels.
The bad: its not 4 star. By International standards its probaby 2.5 stars. The rooms are rather worn out and need a face lift. The pictures they show of the rooms must have been taken years ago just after the hotel was built.

Very pleasant stay. Some coworkers had issues checking in and out but I had booked separately through Expedia and everything worked out great. Romm was decent - towels and sheets were a bit dated & floor could use a good steam clean but the room was comfortable enough and I was able to relax. Breakfast and dinners were good as well. All around pleasant stay & when/if in Ouagadougou again this is certainly an option.

If I had a choice would stay elsewhere

Dated hotel needs refurbishment one of the two lifts never worked and wait could be long. One small bottle of water on day one and then you had to buy additional even though you could not drink tap water. Security very tight which is not such a bad thing based on the hotel being isolated and miles from town.

Decent, safe hotel.

Hotel was pretty good. Nice pool in the back with a restaurant and bar surrounding it. The wifi was not great and dropped connections frequently. It's not conveniently close to restaurants, so unless you want to take a car, plan to eat at the hotel. Considering the price per night, I found some amenities (such as coffee service in the room and quality of towels and linens) to be underwhelming. But the decor was nice in the rooms and it was a comfortable place to stay overall. Security of the hotel was quite good.

This wasa goodexperience. The hotel is exclusive and a nice amenities. Service was great and people great you by name. I would recommend it to all. Only problem was connecting with bank card for payment of my final bill.

The property is great, the location is a bit outside the city. Its secure and has all facilities though the property looks old now. The chef is great but the other staff in the restaurant is very unresponsive. Have stayed here a lot of times before and would recommend it as its one of the better options.

Hello, I booked 4 nights at this hotel, payment was done in advance and reservation confirmed, when I reached the hotel around 3 am I was so surprised to see the hotelis closed because employees are on strike and I had to find another hotel, noone from the hotel bothered to inform me or even apologize, what s worse is that they did not refund the payment until now

Okay facility bad service

The faciltiy is okay but the staff is very incapable and rude. We booked 3 rooms and they told us that we only booked 2, though we had all 3 names registered in the system. Had to sit and argue for hours before they evetually figured it out.

Dont use the phone. Even if you call the local numbers it charges you international rate for some reason.

I think this has to be the best hotel in Burkina Faso! Very clean. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Great pool and restaurants. We had an amazing stay! Felt very safe due to the high level of security measures taken to protect guests. I highly recommend this place.

Chose hotel for its conference facilities to hold a regional workshop. Hotel has nice infrastructure but it is aging. Use of smaller conference spaces requires transiting a large conference room, inconvenient when that room is in use. Room had a decent desk and lighting, so worked well for business use.

Very nice but small problem with my room

Enjoyed this hotel. It's definitely the best hotel in Ouagadougou from my experience. Unfortunately, however, my room had a very strong odor of perfume or cologne that never left after 2 nights. I mentioned it to the front desk, but they were evidently unable to fix the problem. Other than this, the room was very comfortable and the hotel was very nice. Great pool and outside deck!!

Very nice hotel, a little on the outskirts of the city but clean, friendly and secure. Not everyone speaks English but still I managed just fine. Free airport shuttle and taxi stand is right there. A good choice for those who look for a \"European\" hotel standard. Great food in the restaurant.

Nice stay, a bit expensive for what you get

Overall it was a good stay. The rooms were really nice, very modern, air conditioning works well, beds are comfortable. TV has a couple of international channels with English so that was nice. The restaurant has a good variety of food, swimming pool is very clean. The only downside I felt was that for the price, I would have expected more on 2 aspects - firstly the airport shuttle times are inflexible and didn't suit the airline schedule at all. Apparently the hotel has only one vehicle which seems slightly weird. So I ended up having to pay for a taxi. The second thing is that almost no-one on the hotel staff spoke English. I would have thought at a fairly decent hotel like this that at least one staff member might have some English but no luck.

Good choice for business trip

This is a luxury hotel in a very poor country. I found the service and comfort of the room to be excellent. Their are some aspects of the hotel that are not quite up to American luxury hotel standards (quality of pillows, condition of lamps, etc.) but it is still quite comfortable. The internet was very slow, but there is probably no getting around this in Burkina Faso right now. The service staff is attentive and fairly efficient. I was always treated with kindness and respect. Good stay.

The service could be a little quicker and the internet is frustratingly slow at times however the hotel is probably one of the best in the city. Bad points: There is no gym, the restaurant food is pricey and not amazing. Good points: swimming pool & jacuzzi, clean, comfortable, contemporary.

I stayed with the Golden Tulip for a week during a very hot period at the end of April. The staff were extremely helpful and very kind. The rooms were clean and had much needed air conditioners which worked very well. As someone who does not travel to Africa very often, this hotel gave me many western comforts to make me feel at home.

Quite good for food, drink and staff, especially le petit dejeuner (breakfast). A exposition for the arts-works during my stay there. A big pool for the guest. It was quite good if you compared it with other hotel in Burkina Faso. The price is a little to high and the location is good if you don't want to stay in the city center.

It was good to see some decent hotel in such place. The communication is worst though. We sent email for airport pick up but no one responded. They did send the pick up but no response means what you can imagine

Great stay; employees are really accommodating; a dinner for 20 people was scheduled in emergency 3 hours before it start and; it was a real success.
Rooms are comfortable and cleaned but the AC are somewhat lazy at around noon until 6 pm. Internet is reliable and works all the time with comfortable speed.
It was a pleasure to be in Africa and at Golden Tulip.

The hotel personnel were the most friendly and professional staff that I have had the privilege to be a beneficiary of their services. So prompt, attentive and ready to go the extra mile.

Un des intérêts de l’hôtel est leur belle piscine mais le bar et le restaurant de la piscine restent fermés. Seules quelques tables extérieures sont disponibles pour dîner. Tables par ailleurs sur un passage, en bas des escaliers d’accès à la piscine.

Le Silmande est un hôtel de grande renommé. Très bonne emplacement, Parfaitement sécurisé, c'est l'hôtel idéal tant pour les affaires que pour les vacances ; que je recommande vivement. Bien que l'hotel ait perdu de sa superbe, le potentiel est toujours bien là et même si cela nécessiterait de très gros investissement en rénovation cela vaut la peine (avis aux propriétaires et potentiels investisseurs!).

Voor zaken het beste hotel

Dit is het beste hotel voor mensen die voor zaken in Ouagadougou moeten zijn. Buiten dat er een prachtig zwembad ligt en het eten geweldig is wordt het ook nog eens beveiligd door militairen. Daarnaast staan er taxi's voor je hotel.
