Nice ambience in cozy Båstad

The hotel offers a charming atmosphere in the heart of Båstad. The interior is well-designed, with plenty of seating areas and fireplaces, creating a relaxing environment. The rooftop pool and bar area are particularly appealing and provide a great spot to unwind.

One unique aspect is the constant flow of guests in robes, moving between the spa and the outdoor baths, which adds to the relaxed vibe.

The room itself had some quirks. The sink is located outside the bathroom, which can be inconvenient, especially at night. The rooms are small but quiet, with open wardrobes and minimal storage. The bed felt narrow and short, though we’re accustomed to a king-size at home, so this may be personal preference. Both the pillows and the bathroom towels were surprisingly small, which detracted slightly from the experience.

Breakfast is served in a spacious restaurant with beautiful views. While the spread isn’t the largest we’ve encountered, it covers all the essentials and maintains a good quality.

Overall, despite a few imperfections, the hotel delivers a high standard, particularly for a Swedish property, and remains one of the better options available.

Romantic spa weekend in Sweden - arrived by train from Copenhagen. Spa area very enjoyable but need it to be part of your booking package or else you pay extra. As weather was not great on 1st day - spa and massage were absolute delight. Also, 4pm tea abd coffee and lovely cakes and snacks included for spa package guests.
Restaurants right next to hotel offer alternative price and quality of meals.
Not much in the town area but a really enjoyable walk via hotel Riviera and back along the beach.

Bra hotell med en nackdel

Bra hotell med en STOR nackdel på sommaren och det är att det spelas musik fram till ca0300 för alla partysugna , trots stängda fönster tränger basen igenom och det är svårt att sova. Så det blir inga fler sommarövernattningar här, kommer tillbaka utanför säsong.

Hotel Skansen behöver rycka upp sig. Hotellrummen har alltid varit små men nu börjar det även bli lite bedagat. Ingen ac, minibaren fungerade inte (ingen kyla), flimrande spotlights i badrummet, hårfön från medeltiden…
Gemensamma ytor på hotellet är fortfarande väldigt fina och trevliga och frukosten innehåller mycket och är god.

Poor service at the hotel restaurant

The food at the hotel restaurant was good but the service was really bad. 30 min to get water and bread.60 min to get the food. I was compencated by a glass of Wine but it didnt help the experience despite the fact that the nice Italian Waiter tried to speed up his colleagues.

Vi bodde i villa. Tyvärr ej meddelat i förväg ang husdjursallergi. Stora besvär o fick ta extra mediciner för att klara natten.
Skulle varit bra om dessa rum ej har heltäckningsmatta, pallar, sänggavlar, prydnadskuddar i plysch o tyg. Ytor som är lättare att städa o hålla fräscha.
Dammiga handtag på handikapptoaletter, kalkfläckar på metall i duschen, dammiga (vin-) glas drar ner betyget.
Förslag att ha en pall i badrummet som kan användas vid toalettbesök. Kunde ej sitta med hela foten i golvet vilket medförde icke optimal position.

We visited Skansen for 20 years now. Restaurant makes lovely dishes. It has become a bit overdecorated and busy. Service is not like it used to be. However some staff is wonderful. Check out is early, 10 am. Rather expensive. Location is nice. Båstad is wonderful.

Hadde «bestilt» parkering . Ingen info fra hotellets sider eller ved innsjekking at parkeringen lå 800 meter fra hotellet. Dette måtte vi finne ut av selv. Bestilte også med balkong. Så rett inn i offentlig WC. Her kan dere kjøre rett forbi. Mere oppskrytt plass en Båstad skal mann lete lenge etter.

En natt på hotellet

Hotel Skansen Båstad var en fantastisk upplevelse. Med en skicklig service och ett bra bemötande, kände vi oss sedda och hörda kring våra behov. Vi köpte inträde för Rooftop för ett rimligt pris, och det var en fantastisk utsikt. Det som tog ner lite av betyget var tv:en i hotellet som inte hade de appar vi sökte (tex Netflix) och de få restaurangerna i närheten att äta i, eftersom vi inte var rätt så sugna på restaurang Sand. Men det fick bli så iallafall.

Jag hade en fantastisk vistelse på detta hotell! Här fanns verkligen allt man kan önska sig. Personalen var otroligt trevlig och tillmötesgående, vilket verkligen bidrog till den positiva atmosfären. Rummet var elegant inrett och bekvämt, vilket gjorde vistelsen ännu mer njutbar.

Särskilt imponerad blev jag av hotellets restaurang. Maten var helt enastående och smakupplevelsen var över förväntan. Personalen i restaurangen visade samma höga nivå av service och gästfrihet som resten av hotellet.

Sammanfattningsvis, om du letar efter en plats med fantastisk atmosfär, trevlig personal, eleganta rum och en gourmetupplevelse i restaurangen, då är detta hotellet definitivt ett utmärkt val!

Very disappointing! The room was extremely noisy with very loud music and parties half of the night on the beach nearby. Impossible to sleep before 2am without any notice or information about the party. That is definitely not what is excepted from this quality level of hotel.

Hotellet var väldigt fint om man tänker på huvudbyggnaden och restaurang Sand. Vi bodde dock i tennisannexet. Rummet var helt ok, inte mer. Väldigt litet badrum. Incheckning bra men tilldelat rum var mkt dåligt då jag poängterade att vi bott flera ggr tidigare i jätte bra rum i konferens byggnaden typ 318 osv, inget tillägg. Fick 411 ? Men efter lite snack blev allt bra, tack. Spa bra, restaurang bra.

Dammigt, kronligt, trongt och dyrt

Vi har bott i separat byggnad \"Tennis flygel\" tror jag det hette. Rummet var litet med tjöck heltäknings matta + att det var 11 kuddar på sängen, 4 av kuddar var avsädd för att sova, resten var prydnads kuddar, som man byter sällan fordral på. Det var väldigt dammigt på skiva bakom sängen och på nattduksbordet. Dessutom har stått flera stycken stora fyrkantiga lampor som tog plats men fylde ingen fynktion, så att man hade inte plats med telefon på nattduksbordet. När vi lastade av alla kuddar från sängen, finns ingen plats går vid sängen. Dessutom väldit kronligt att hitta fram till hotelet. Inte ens Restsurang Sand kunde glädja oss god mat, rätter som kostade nästan 400 med kvalite sämre äm på lunchrestsurang för 110

Besviken...

Vi blev riktigt besvikna på att det numera inte går att parkera gratis på hotellets parkering som vi gjort tidigare alla de gånger vi varit där. 220 kr är alldeles för dyrt på redan så dyrt boende. Det blev riktigt långt att gå för att få parkering billigare. Tycker också att det är alldeles för tidigt att behöva lämna rummet kl 10 en lördag/söndag morgon. Känns tyvärr inte som vi \"vanliga\" människor kan bo där längre och vi har ändå varit där i många år tidigare. Det var ett trevligare område tidigare utanför restaurangens ingång, Härliga soffor man kunde hänga i men nu var där alldeles för hög musik för tidigt på kvällen. . Ann-Christine.

Beautiful spa areas

We had a great spa stay at Hotel Skansen Båstad. You can choose between three different magnificent spa areas at Skansen. Kalbadhuset is so beautiful. You swim in the sea, enjoy the sunny deck and a peaceful area inside. And then when you get a little cold you heat up in the saunas or the heated tub. On the rooftop we enjoyed the heated infinity pool overlooking the bay - and a nice drink from the bar. And on the ground floor we enjoyed an inside swimming pool, a Japanese pool and sauna and steam room. We had dinner at one of the charming restaurants in the harbour next to the hotel. We recommend taking a walk at the harbour area. Unfortunately there was a dj playing loud music until 2am in front of the hotel which was very stressful. Hope the hotel won’t let that happen again.
