“I had a great experience during my stay. Parking was convenient, and I felt safe with the well-lit area in the front. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

My room was excellent—very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable! All of the linens were spotless with no stains, and the towels looked brand new.

Even with renovations going on, my stay was still A-1. Please keep up the great work, because it’s hard to find a place this comfortable in the surrounding area.”

Cleanliness needs a lot of improvement. I noticed a strong smell of Fabuloso as I was exiting instead of the hotel using commercial grade cleaning products and disinfectants. The hotel is undergoing renovations, but it’s not the typical hotel renovations you would expect. It’s basically patch work.

I arrived late around midnight and nobody was at the desk which is fine. They had warned me since I was checking in late to call or bush the bell. Well the bell was broken so I called and it took a few minutes for someone to come answer. No biggie. Checked into the room and on first appearance it seemed fine and clean. Had newer looking wood flooring which I liked rather than old carpet. The gross factor came in the bathroom. The walls were gross looking with things on them. Like brown marks that looked like poop smears. They weren’t large but one right behind the toilet paper roll made me cringe. There were multiple on the walls and all you had to do was sit long enough to pee and you would see the nastiness around you. Also my husband said he saw black mold in the bathroom. The sink wouldn’t drain and would fill almost all the way up while trying to wash your hands. Went to breakfast and was sorely disappointed we walked over to McDonald’s. The fridge had a sign that said waffles. Opened it and there was a bowl of eggo waffles floppy and uncovered just chilling there and that was basically the breakfast. Staff was kind when we spoke with them but overall glad we didnt have to stay longer.

First room we got was settling in to find out tv wouldn’t work! Staff on duty tried but was unsuccessful then she moved us to another room where she said everything worked! Once again tv did not function properly even had to unplug it to shut it off, no volume couldn’t change channels and on/off would not work on remote .. Also Room was even more outdated then the first no smoke detector and this is on the second floor would think that’s surely a violation of some sort. Will not be staying here again..

The heater was not working during a very cold night. I woke up in the middle of the night and I needed the heat on and it was not working. The shower didn’t have a curtain on the bath top. The room was not so clean. I complained to the receptionist that she promised to have the manager talk to me which he never did.

Our room was such a combo of old and new.
The towels need upgrading badly!!
So small and thin and quality poor.
The staff pleasant and beds fresh. No safety concerns.
The price should reflect until upgrades completed.
McDonald's next door is convenient.

Easy access is the best part of this hotel. The room wasn't clean nor did it smell good. I was too grossed out to shower, but it was the only option for 2 hours in the direction that we were going. Woke up to a \"Continental\" breakfast which included sliced bread, a toaster and some jam. Overall, it's the second worst hotel experience I've ever had.

We called multiple times as we had a service dog nobody answered the phone, when my daughter arrived she waited in the lobby for over an hour and nobody ever showed up just a sign on the front desk stating they would be back shortly she had to find another hotel 20 minutes away extremely unprofessional.

While the property is or feels slightly outdated, and just a little bit unfinished, carpet, trim, etc. – because I noticed that the carpet needed some trim. I also noticed that the carpet is new in the hallways, very clean, easy in, easy out, suited my needs just fine, I give it a thumbs up. Customers obviously have abused coming in with muddy boots, workmen, and transient or what not – people with trailers have abused the parking area, but there’s plenty of parking, receptionist/manager was very kind, everything was easy and nice.

Our room was on the second floor right next to the stairway. The stairway door closing was extremely loud both late in the evening and early in the morning. Additionally, the carpet on the stairway was torn. The coffee was empty at breakfast and not much in the way of food. Thankfully, McDonalds was next door. We complained but staff acted like it was no big deal.

There was a sign at the front desk, saying something like please pardon our mess, but I didn’t see anything being fixed. Instead, just damage all over my room. Wallpaper torn away, tiles in the bathroom missing, the toilet had flakes in it, no matter how many times I flushed, the ceiling was peeling, the couch was stained, the carpet on the stairs was torn up, and everything about this facility seem to be damaged or rundown. Besides a delightful conversation with the front desk staff, and allowing me to park my motorcycle by the front door, this facility was truly awful.

My room was infested with roaches. Roaches were coming from the ceiling, the room had roach droppings & when nothing was even looked into when I notified the front desk, my granny & aunt were forced to ATTEMPT C to sleep with the lights on because they feared they would wake up with roaches crawling on them! I called early Saturday morning asking to be connected to my grandma’s room && was RUDELY told that that particular function wasn’t available on their cordless phone. So, I asked for a message to be relayed to my grandmother & to my surprise it never was! I am very unhappy with the customer service & experience I had with this property. I will be requesting a refund && will NOT be starting here again!

My review

Bed, TV and King room very comfortable. Under renovation, until Sept 20,2025. so needed to overlook the unfinished work. Door dragged onto tile, loudly, so make sure you closed it completely for it to lock.
Free ‘Lite’ breakfast: coffee, juices, toast, froz waffles, breakfast chewy bar or cereal.
Staff was VERY friendly.
Told us where a coin operated laundry was located since theirs were not working.
We stayed there same time last year. Bed was comfortable, large TV, microwave and mini fridge.
Oh, no coffee pot in room. However, it is offered by front desk as well as cold water.

If you enjoy half-done repairs, run-down facilities and surrounded by heavy equipment and construction vehicles and not ready to receive guests then this is the place for you!

It is July 1 and the pool is not open. Need I say more? I will say more! We have no smoke detector in our room, the bath ceiling is partially patched and stained and the light /fan fixture is not complete.

The window only has blackout curtains on it! And the chair and ottoman are sticky and look to be from the landfill. The security lock on the door is broken off, the plug in the tub is just sitting on the edge of the tub…? It isn’t installed. The vending machine is out of order.
All this and we haven’t finished our stay. I am so dumbfounded at the state of this place that I couldn’t even wait to review it!

I don’t know what else I need to say. I chose this place over other hotels nearby because it had a pool. What a crappy way to lure guests!

I have never left a poor review for anywhere because I always find the positive. So here are the positives …at least this place didn’t smell bad, the front desk person was nice and McDonalds is right next door.

Hard pass suggested!

Horrible. The manager was outside letting their kids ride bikes in the area where cars enter and depart. Had to park as the manager never even made an effort to move the kids.
They advise breakfast. If you consider coffee and toast breakfast then you will be happy. However if you expect more you will hate it.
The entire experience was awful. Not only will I never go there again I will be unlikely to use any in that chain

Remodeling going on made for a cluttered hallway with lots of tools on the floor as well as pieces of tile and wood in a few places. Our heat/air unit did not work properly (other guests complained of the same). When we contacted the front desk someone came to look at the air unit, tried to adjust something, then replied we needed to give it a few minutes. It never did work right but he did provide us with extra blankets. Continental breakfast was very, very limited and we ran out of coffee.

Stayed there do to price so wasn't expecting much but, the elevator was not working, i had a 65 pound tote I needed to haul up to the second floor. There wasn't a 1st floor room available. I get elevators break, but the check in person watched me struggle to get it up the stairs and didn't offer to help.
I had food that needed to be frozed, the freezer was frosted over you couldn't even put an icepack in it to keep it cold.
The lights were all unplugged. Which may not seem like a big deal, but when you've checked in at midnight, lugges a 65 pound tote up two flights of stairs, it would have been nice to see where I was going.
Also, don't expect much for breakfast on a Friday morning. Bread/toast and two choices of ceral.
I must say however, the room was clean, my bed was comfortable and the shower's water pressure was good.

We checked in and found the room normal. After dinner when we came back from dinner, we noticed an odor. We believed it to be urine? The bathtub had duct tape over the overflow. Grout missing around the tub/shower. Breakfast to go was a toaster waffle. They did have cereal but had no milk. Had to get the coffee from the lobby. The place had a sign at the front desk saying forgive us while we are under construction. The area for demo / dumpster was the pool. I would not recommend this place.

An “average” hotel if you just need a place to lay your head for a night. The shower in my room didn’t work, so don’t expect a shower. I was on a time line in the morning so once I figured out the shower was broken, I wouldn’t have had time to ask for a new room, pack my stuff, unpack it in another room, then take a shower. I told the front desk on my way out, so hopefully they will do the right thing and give me a partial refund (room 114, check in on 1/31). But I’m not counting on it.

Well, it is the only place to stay in town. It is under new management, and I hope they can improve on it.
We stayed there twice, because Lake Village is halfway between our home and Gulf Shores, Alabama. The first time, we had to wait forever just to get checked in. The room was fine, but I actually had to wake the manager up on the morning just to get some plates out of the \"breakfast room.\"
The second time was a better check in, but they had had asprinkler leak, and the dpwnstairs (where i guess the better rooms were) was uninh itable, so we got a room on the secons floor. It was disgusting, and we asked for another room, which the manger that day kindly offered. The second room was better, but (and i wish i hat taken pictures) The two chairs were on their last legs, with damaged upholstery.
So, really, the best part of the stay was that it was right next door to a McDonalds, and we could get great coffee at 6 AM.
