Room gets quick, surface clean where housekeeping wipes down surface of furniture, bathroom counter & sink. Toilet & bathtub get slightly more attention, not by much. Whatever used to clean bathtub leaves basin floor extremely slippery. I barely broke my fall when stepping into shower; thankfully was able to do so. Receives surface cleaning at best, look at walls under bathroom sink & behind toilet, obvious those areas rarely cleaned. All corners of bathroom floor, behind toilet, & along base where bathtub meets tile floor are DISGUSTING! Lamps, microwave, & air heating/cooling unit are obviously overlooked more often than not. Upon arrival to room, used my own Lysol disinfectant wipes kept in my car to thoroughly wipe down each of the four lamps, using multiple wipes to clean every inch lamps’ frames, on/off switches, USB ports, & auxiliary elec sockets on lamps’ base & lamp shades, both inside (cobwebs galore found/eliminated) & out. Wiped all hardware: door-, drawer-knobs, etc. Microwave, fridge, & air unit vents were GROSS! Removed air unit filter & rinsed off as much dirt as possible. Needed replacement months ago! Guests breathe that air! Highlight smoke free but doesn’t matter when airflow vents are health hazard. Found under windshield wiper one day, folded paper w/name, directions & rm # of housekeeping member, noting her day off & telling partner to drop by—TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!

I should’ve reported to mgmt. Concern of termination prevented me from doing so.

The bed sheets had stains. The air conditioner was gross. The floors hadn't been swept. The toilet seat was loos and ready to fall off. The shower head had black mold or something black on it. There was a card that said Destiny cleaned the room. She did a horrible job.

It scared me to stay there after seeing all the signs stating, take everything out of your car!! This said we were in an unsafe area! The morning worker was rude too. When we took our breakfast to go, my hands were full and the wind from the door took some muffins out of my hands. The big male came outside, yelling at me. He said, you could clean up your mess. I thought, wow you'd never get me back here, yelling to a me like that. He should have said, can I help you since I see your hands are full. The door was super heavy and was hard to maneuver in the first place.

When we got our first room it had been used or not cleaned. Used washcloth on the bathtub and something wrapped around the plug. They moved us into a new room which was cleaner. Then the toilet plugged we had to unplug it ourselves. Then there was a bunch of women’s hair all over in the stairwell and lobby. We did not feel safe.

Much too expensive for the quality of the room. Hallway had a rather nasty smell of dirty feet, wet dogs and ass. Room also had a strange odor. Lighting very dim in the bathroom. Mattress was very hard and uncomfortable.

The first room we were given had an unpleasant odor and upon request, we were given a cleaner, more pleasant room immediately.
It was clean (except for some crumbs on the floor by the edge of the refrigerator).
The bed was comfortable.
Everything (bathroom, coffee maker, tv, and A/C) worked well. The hotel was quiet (no loud guests). We would consider staying there again.

The room was clean and was good size. However there was no where to put luggage, no light by mirror. The bathroom was super small and whatever detergent was on the sheets gave us a rash, or it was the towels. We didn't even feel clean after taking a shower. The hallway had a terrible smell. We did like that it was close to downtown and close to restaurants.

Check in was a weird process, through a glass window standing in the cold. Suspicious people sitting outside smoking weed and cigarettes.
Hallways strong stench of mildew and ceiling looks wet and moldy.
Room had and overwhelming smell of cat urine, pee stains on the floor, chairs cover in cat scratches. Slept in my car with my son. Property refused to reimburse me. Room was a health hazard. Disgusting. BEWARE stay somewhere else if you want to keep your health.

It smells. The whole hotel smells damp so I’m pretty sure there’s a mold issue somewhere.

The front desk staff is hit or miss. Some are nice and some not so much.

The toilets do not flush with much pressure. Nothing more embarrassing than calling the front desk for a plunger….

I’m pretty sure I got a sinus infection from the mold issue.

Cool property but it needs some major work for me to consider staying here again.

pleasant stay for 3 days

Our 3 day stay was pleasant, staff was friendly and room was nice.

Only one suggestion and we make this suggestion at many of the hotels we've stayed at: even though it wasn't a handicapped room, there should have been a grab bar in the shower. My wife and I are seniors and a bit shaky when taking a shower and I think most people would appreciate having at least one grab bar to hold onto and for getting in and out.

Red Roof (and Hotels.com) bailed us out in the early AM after our pre-paid reservation at another property in Chantilly was not honored. The staff was always friendly, the room was in good shape with some renovations done, the AC was quieter than most of that sort. All in all, basic but just fine.

The only thing that was a little disappointing was that the breakfast was pretty limited. But I didn't need waffles that badly anyway.

We will likely stay here again next year when we come to help with the American Rocketry Challenge finals. The location is quite convenient to the flying site.

The tv remote didn't work, one lamp was defective and the bathroom door wouldn't shut. The worst thing was the heating unit smoked up the room and smelled like it was on fire. the front desk response was that it was dust and to turn on the bathroom fan and it would take out the smoke. We had to check out of the motel and were refused a refund because we booked with Expedia.

The staff were friendly and precise but housekeeping was understaffed. While the hotel was \"non-smoking\" there was the residual smell of cigarettes in the hallway and the room. Otherwise the hotel sits on the corner of a useful intersection with a restaurant and gas station nearby.

Fhe location was good. Happy they were pet friendly. The room wasn't cleaned very well. I spilled some water and apon cleaning it up off the wood floor the towel I used was black. The floor hadn't been washed. Glad they were pet friendly, but the other guests were not considerate. There were chicken bones in the parking lot (very bad for dogs!). Also, the phone in the room kept ringing. Calls for other residents. Also, kept getting asked if I was there from \"the program\". Not sure what that meant.

You get what you pay for. Considering the low price of the room, maybe my expectations were too high? The hallway and stairwell smelled of smoke and were not well maintained. The room smelled of sweaty socks upon entering. There were several stains throughout (on \"clean\" towels, on toilet seat, on wall). The mirror was ripped off the back of the bathroom door.

The bed seemed to be clean thankfully.

This was the most reasonably price hotel in the area that had at least an average rating. It’s not any more than average, which is even a stretch.
On the positive side the room was quiet. I don’t know how many rooms were filled, but the lot I parked in was full. There has to be another lot as there are enough spaces in the lot for the number of rooms.
The water pressure and temperature in the shower was great.
The chair at the desk was on its last legs. At first it appears broken but if you play with it enough it works.
I probably won’t stay there again. There should be better choices.

The check-in building (where the food also was) smelled HORRIBLE. The hallway in the hotel room building smelled HORRIBLE. Thankfully the room was clean and didn't smell bad. Also, don't trust Google Maps to get you there. It takes you to the street behind the hotel and there is no entrance to the hotel on that street.
