Worst Hotel we've ever stayed in. The room smelled TERRIBLE like old cigarette smoke despite being non-smoking. The mattresses were squishy and sunken in. The carpet was sticky and dirty! The light above the sink didn't work. Breakfast was a joke. 2 cereal options and warm milk. And a package of muffins. A homeless man sleeping in the breakfast room. Ice machine didn't work. Outside the room in the hallway smelled like pot. We were in town for a funeral and we're embarrassed because our clothes smelled like old cigarettes after staying one night! Horrible!

Needs better customer service

Start with the good, the room and bathroom was clean and the bed comfortable.

The bad.. not very welcoming. When checking in, the person at the counter was wearing a simple white t-shirt and shorts, not very professional, and during the entire time with me, he was talking to another co-worker.

The Wi-Fi did not reach the end of the hotel to the room we were staying so we did not have any wi-fi, which also affected the TV because that ran off an internet roku. When I mentioned it to them, they acted surprised(?). So very limited TV and no wi-fi.

I didn't expect much for breakfast but even the coffee was gone very early and there was no one behind the counter to request more.

The second day when we came back in the evening to our room it was not made up with housekeeping and no fresh towels. When tried calling using the room phone but no one picked up at the counter. I walked down and was told we had to request it(?) We weren't told that but perhaps that was because he was busy talking to somebody else when we checked in.

Finally when I checked out there was no one at the counter again, just dropped off the room card and left.

I think I got a good experience for what I paid for. The staff was friendly, and the room was good for the price I paid, and had the essentials I needed. I had some initial issues opening my door but the staff helped me. I also didn't like the initial odor I sensed but eventually I stopped noticing it (should improve on that though). Don't expect much from the breakfast, but that's fine since that's what I paid for going-in, and I was able to eat elsewhere. Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised. I think it was well worth it for me, so overall good for people like me on a budget.

Don’t Do It!!!

The place smelled like a basement when you first walk in. Our room also had a weird smell. Our toilet was leaking but the manager said it’ll stop..it didn’t. Woke up to a flooded bathroom. Breakfast was offered but it was old cereal and yogurt. No cream for the coffee!! When you ring the bell for service it’s a hit and miss. The ice machine was broken and the vending machine was empty. The only positive experience was the jacuzzi. I would never come back here!!!

Smoke alarms beeped every 40 seconds for 2 days and management could not get fixed. Free breakfast was supposed to be included. They had no coffee, said machine was broken, cereal was so stale the raisins in raisin brand were like a rock. Second day manager had made effort with fresh cereal and coffee. Not a pleasant stay.

Please read before booking:

Please note upfront that I do not have unrealistic expectations of what to expect at a Super 8.. a no frills hotel that is typically older and low-feature. However, this hotel is not suitable for guests, and should be pulled from the franchise. This was by far the most filthy hotel room I have ever stayed in. Yes, the toilet was clean and the bed had new sheets… but there was blood/other body fluids on the walls, dried up something splashed across the door, mold and mildew all over in the bathroom, exposed electrical conductors the hallway ( the hall light was removed, wires hanging there) and the carpets were very dirty. It was mind boggling. Believe all the reviews that discuss how dirty and unmaintained the hotel is. For the hotel owners, you need to inspect and correct this facility.
It was bad enough, we just left and went elsewhere before our stay was over.

Told hotel 24 hrs ahead that I was cancelling two rooms nights. 3 days later still waiting for information on why I am being charged for two dates I cancelled well in advance. Never had this happen in 50 years of travel, I am waiting to see if this will be resolved satisfactorly.

Hotel receptionist stated that our reservation was canceled by Expedia. Check with Expedia and reservation was not cancelled. Hotel wanted us to pay extra $100 a night. When Expedia sent reservation again we finally got a room at our original rate. Hotel wanted to charge me $20 for upgrade from King to 2 queen beds since King rooms were sold out. Ended up not paying the $20 after more discussion. Took 30 minutes to check in. Not a good experience.

Reserved online. Online the room said pet friendly under “included in stay” so i didn’t think it would be an issue to have my dog with. A few days in, i was told by front desk that i had to pay for my pet, to which i replied ok that’s my bad i thought it was included in the cost of my pet friendly room. The owners then lied and told me that my fiance explicitly told them that we had no pets (she never spoke a word to them, as i got the room online and i was the one who checked in to begin with). I didnt have the money at the time to pay, as i just paid for 8 days upfront. So i told them that i could pay them thursday morning, as i get paid Wednesday night. They said that was fine, then on Wednesday around 4pm they called my room, requesting me to come to the lobby to pay them, even though i had already told them that i would have it thursday morning, and was told that it was fine, and that is what i told them during this phone call. About an hour later, two people from the staff come banging on my door, demanding me to pay them after i already told them more than once that i simply didn’t have it yet, and as soon as i am paid they will get the pet fee. When i told her i was waiting to be paid, i was told to make it faster. Terrible experience, terrible owners.

Staff is inattentive and side doors are not secure so anybody can just walk in. Rooms were ok except for one of the bed sheets having burn holes in it. Rooms are not cleaned daily (occupied rooms). Asking the staff for anything is a major inconvenience to their life.

Here’s the deal. I needed a place to stay in a pinch. If was about on par with my expectations.

The cleanliness was the biggest issue. Dirty towel on the back of bathroom door, floor not vacuumed anywhere in building, the tile floor was sticky. Comforter was riped. There were even opened mini shampoo bottles. The lights in the 2nd floor was flashing like strobe lights and falling off wall (this was fixed sometime after we arrived at night). There was also a single smoke detector chirping somewhere upstairs.

I get it, it was a Super 8, it was cheap. I still think some pride in cleaning room should be there. Also, plan otherwise for breakfast. Was very limited and basically gone about an hour in.

In the end. The bedding besides the comforter was fine. We slept, left and moved on. Which is what to expect to do if you stay here.

Was hard to find. Was not in town and I thought I missed it as it appeared I was on my way to the next town. So I turned back to town. The room had no chair but did have a table to put a laptop on! Toilet seat did not have any nuts on the bolts and moved about freely. Someone could fall and get injured (and sue) Sorry but I've stayed in better Super 8's. Unfortunate the days of looking at a room first are gone.

While staying at this hotel I arrived back at the hotel late in the evening. When I entered my room I found that it had not been cleaned and that I had no new towels. I went to the front desk to just ask for new clean towels. They informed me that I could not get clean towels as they were closed until 6:30 in the morning. I explained that I was leaving early the next morning and that I needed the towels before then. They said there was nothing that they could do. I was unable to get clean towels and had to use small hand towels.

Have disputed with Hotels.com and with my credit card, but these liars keep telling them the charge is valid even though I was never even allowed in the building.

We had asked for a non smoking room. Upoa arrival, we opened the door, it smelled like a dirty ashtray. I killed a spider in the bathroom. It was one of those rooms you didn't want to put any luggage on the floor. At least it didn't have bed bugs. The carpet looked dirty also. It's in need of replacing. I highly doubt we won't be staying there again as this is an annual visit.

I needed a place for a couple of nights. The clerk was very friendly, so much in fact that he lifted my spirits during a really difficult time.
I feel like the value was okay. The room was clean, but the halls looked like they needed to be vacuumed and there was litter in the parking lot. Other than that, it was quiet and I found the bed and pillows very comfortable.

So my husband and I frequent this chain wherever we are. This hotel was probably one of the worst I have stayed at. At check in the person at the desk told me that my payment was declined. I told him I can get my phone to show the receipt and after going back and forth he tried telling me I didn’t need to show him that but he needed payment. Then he said he would give me my key but he will continue looking into this. At this point I got my phone and showed my receipt. Then I asked for the second key for my husband and he tried charging me for having another person…again I showed my reservation was for 2 people. I then had to ask where the room was…..found it and called Expedia to make sure there was no issue and they called the hotel because there was not. I never got a second key, which is fine because we were together the whole time but I had still asked for it. I also asked for extra shampoo, conditioner and soap, specifically one of each and was told he would bring it to me…I’m home now and still waiting. Every time we left and came back our key wouldn’t work so I had to get a new key. The last key I received I asked if I should leave the key in the room for checkout because we were leaving very early and this man gave me the dirtiest look. The ac unit was moldy and when I turned it on that’s all you could smell. One hour after we checked in, housekeeping tried to get into our room even though we had the do not disturb up but never came back during our stay. HORRIBLE!

Owners allowed patrons to smoke marijuana in hallways and over the top to the point it was coming into other patrons rooms… so strong you could not sleep and had. A bad headache. Not breakfast as indicated.. milk and coffee is not breakfast. Owners even knew which room was causing issue with smoking and did not seem to care. Building HVAC is poor. Not a place to stay with kids.

Worth the money. This is no frills, nothing extra.
Sleep in a clean but slightly dated room. Bed was very comfortable and the room was cleaned well. Heating system worked great and the room was pretty quiet.
You can hear when the other rooms let their door slam. But that’s not the hotel’s fault.
Parking lot was well lit only knock is that the garbage can was running over and wasn’t attended to during my 2 night stay.

they were rude to me about my 2lb Chihuahua. I booked this room on line because it was pet friendly and said it was clean. They were not!! Dirt everywhere! Bugs in the room! We had to ask for towels and they gave us dirty towels, I would have left but they charged my card before I even checked in. Yelled about where we were parked, even though it was not marked no parking. AND they park to take up 2 places at the front door. When I went to complain she starts talking some other language. I said please speak English, She said couldn't, yet any other day when she wanted to yell at me she knew English! Never saw the breakfast that online says they have also.

Okay, but kind of smelly.

When we first arrived, everything seemed great. People were friendly and we were met with smiles. The motel itself smelled of cigarettes and ramen. The rooms were clean, no elevator. Pets allowed but you aren’t allowed to leave without your pet which seems odd if you have to leave and the place you go isn’t pet friendly. Honestly felt like i was living in the 70’s, it was pretty outdated.

Good, clean stay.

It was an overall pleasant experience. The room was clean- I always check for bedbugs, and there were none. It's not an up to date place, but cheap and sufficient for our stay.
There was breakfast in the morning, coffee, fruit, cereal and some packaged pastries. Again, nothing stellar, but certainly sufficient.
All in all, I'd stay here again if I'm back in the area.

Very disappointing

I didn't even know that you could have smoking rooms!!! I somehow got one and I suspect that it reeked of cigarette smoke. I lost my sense of smell 6 years ago, but I could actually smell a little of the smoke. That's how strong it was! The bed cover has burn holes in it. I don't think I would ever stay here again.
