There was limited evening meal choice when we stayed but it was still delicious, as was breakfast. The bedroom was a little too warm for our liking so we kept the window open, (frames need the mould removing though). All staff members were very friendly and helpful. Stairs to bedrooms/dining room/bar are a little steep so may not suit those with mobility issues.

we were welcomed at reception by a very friendly and helpful staff member who explained everything regarding our bed and breakfast stay. Very interesting old hotel with period features, surprisingly quiet, immaculate room, comfortable bed, plenty of towels and all toiletries. Fantastic service at breakfast with huge choice of food and we also had a fabulous evening meal. Again, I cannot praise all the staff for their attentive service. I will return as soon as i can. Free parking on site, lovely spot close to the town. Faultless in every way; highly recommended.. 6 stars!

The check in was disorganised with a member of staff ignoring us until she finally had to speak to us. The room had big problems. The main window in the bedroom had no lock on it and could only be secured by pushing two tea spoons down the side of it. The window opened onto an accessible flat roof. The full height window in the bathroom had no blind or curtain on it, again it opened onto the flat roof. The room was not serviced on the morning of our second day, we had to go and find a member of stall late in the afternoon to get clean towels

Nice hotel in a good location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice food for breakfast and in the bar in the evening, although one evening we tried to order at 5 minutes past 8pm and were told the kitchen was closed. Some redecoration would improve the corridors as doors seem to have been moved but ceilings and walls not quite finished yet. Good parking available and reasonably quick internet.

Shame about the standards - Location fantastic

Location fantastic. Potential to be very nice as there is plenty of character. Curtains hanging off the rail. Fly excrement on bathroom roller blind. No heating on in the room until way after check-in on a cold December evening.Radiator in bathroom not working. Rusty trays in shower. Stains on furniture. Very dated for the price. Cheaply made breakfast. Other places in town far better value and far better standard.

The owners are fantastic. Very cheerful and helpful. The building is huge with lots of options. They have an excellent chef. The food was on point. The sports bar was large and the bar was great for a more quiet drink. They had a good local musician who was fun and full of life. There is a great banquet room as well. The rooms are clean and more than adequate. Nice hot shower. Very charming location. Nice town with a cute waterfornt. Definatley worth a visit.

The staff were amazing, friendly & welcoming! All staff went beyond just helpful. The property is historic but has been updated. The dinner & breakfast was wonderful. Breakfast was a full Welsh or Continental-beautifully served. I believe it is under relatively new ownership who have put a great deal of effort into this hotel. We enjoyed our stay there.

Lovely, comfortable room, overlooking the street down to the pretty little town. The food in their Italian restaurant was superb, if a little slow in arriving, but worth the wait when cooked fresh. Owner Stephano and his assistant Sharrif were very friendly and welcoming.

No staff around. Nobody else around. Interior dark. On Sunday hotel shut completely, only access to rooms and that was from back of hotel. Internet not working all the time.
Only Italian food in restaurant with limited menu.
No lounge area to sit. Very overpriced for the facilities.

Historic old hotel currently undergoing renovations. Unfortunately it smells quite musty. Conveniently located to the pier and downtown. Food is authentic Italian, but we found it quite bland. Dessert was delicious.

This Listed hotel is being updated by Stefano and Brid who are creating something special in this attractive part of Wales. The food is as good as anything we have eaten anywhere in Italy, this couple ran a successful hotel in Tuscany before coming to Wales and it shows.

A wonderful hotel

The Feathers Royal Hotel is superb. Clean as a pin, comfortable and very welcoming. The staff, without exception, are friendly, helpful and extremely approachable. Nothing is too much trouble. It has an Italian restaurant serving authentic Italian dishes - out of this world! I would recommend this hotel to anyone requiring a comfortable break with friendly hosts and staff. 5 star hotel? I would give it six!!

Pleasant Diamond Jubilee holiday break. There was an issue with a leaking shower, and breakfast was very late on one morning of our stay. I took my grandchildren, who were most impressed with the park opposite the Hotel. Lovely location and we would return.

Initially felt a bit dated and didnt find the manager very welcoming and he didnt show us where breakfast would be served so we had to wander till we found it but the staff are a credit to the place and made it for us. Found out the hotel is gradually being updated as only taken over just prior to pandemic. Everything we needed for an overnight stay and comfortable stay and i would go back

On the 20th of september i was ment to stay in the Feathers Royal hotel Aberaeron. 0n the 24th of September I was within 5 mils of reaching the hotel i was called to say that there was no room booked for mee.I called the hotel and they said thay had booked me in B/B AROSFA for the same price,i ended paying £30 more for a 2star B/b not a 5star Hotel as advertised . i would like your comments before going to the trading standards.

Check-in was easy and all necessary info regarding the hotel was given. The room was extremely clean & and tidy as was the whole hotel. Bar & breakfast service was faultless making for a friendly atmosphere.
My only criticism would be that some of the fixtures, fittings and furniture were dated but this is minor and would not detract from myself revisiting.
A very pleasant two nights for which I thank the landlord and his wife.

Hotel was fine but won’t blow anyone away. Cleanliness was good. Breakfast was good.
Bar shuts ridiculously early and there is nowhere to sit other than in your room or on the yard outside once they lock up. They would definitely benefit from a hotel lounge for guests.

We stayed four nights and had a very enjoyable time .The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful and as they were new owners they were keen to find out what we knew and thought about the area and the facilities as they were developing their vision for the hotel .The bar and outside seating area attracted not only guests but others during the day and early evening . Breakfast was good but the restaurant was closed and due to reopen later this week and alternatives for dinner were arranged . We would stay here again as its a good location and easily accessible to the centre of the town

We had a very warm welcome from Brid and Stefano. We were disappointed to be told on arrival that the Chef had been “pinged” so the restaurant had to close. A great shame as the menu looked to be excellent and was one of the reasons we booked.We had difficulty in finding restaurant bookings for the two nights as most were booked up. Not a good start to a two night stay .
The bedroom was large and comfortable with a great en-suite bathroom..a quirky floor was in keeping with the age of the building..due for replacement in the near future.
The breakfasts ,a full English was full of high quality ingredients well prepared by Janet and her team ; the yogurts were delicious!
We were impressed with the refurbishments done on the downstairs area and also their enthusiasm to continue upstairs.
The two nights though turned out to be an enjoyable stay with great hosts..who moved from Tuscany to West Wales . We hope to return next year to sample the excellent menu and catch up with the next stage of refurbishments from Stefano and Brid.

This is a fantastic Inn. It's a short walk to the harbour and amenities of this lovely place. Why the food here is not mentioned on the top 10 lists for Aberaeron is a mystery as taste, quality and presentation are outstanding. We'll definitely be back.

This small hotel is very well situated. It is very old but is in the process of being renovated and the new owners are brining it back to life.
There were staff shortages but they still provides good customer service just a bit of a wait but the food is very good when it arrives.
