I stayed three nights here and would defiantly stay again if Yogyakarta.
Place was great - staff were excellent. Especially at reception Yudha, Fara and the duty manager Indra who helped tremendously when I had left my small rucksack with important items in the taxi and realised 6 hours later - they all helped to contact taxi company to help get it back.
Thank you to and Busma & Arif who were the main chefs at breakfast - they cooked something special for me as I’m vegetarian many items on the buffet - although looked vegetarian were cooked in chicken power or meat stock. Also to Johan who helped with car for the main temple visit. All staff were friendly.

Can 100% recommend this Hotel.
I stayed here last year and came back. It is a real Treat after traveling in Sumatra. Hotel Neo is a Hotel of high standard and clean. STAFF is professional and they will try to help in any way.
Breakfast is good.
I don't find the pool that inviting but apart from that I love this Hotel !

The hotel was very accomodating especially with my special request to decorate the room as part of my friend's birthday surprise. They really did a good job in that with the bed deco, flowers and there's even a cake! The room are also spacious and clean. I will definitely come back to this hotel if I'll ever cisit Jogjakarta again! 👍👍

Very loose toilet seats...was resolved
Window in shower emits light so if bathroom used in the middle of

Sufficient toiletries, pleasant staff

Check-in was completed within a few minutes. Bed was comfortable, with 1 standard and 1 small decorative pillow per bed. Breakfast had good spread with egg-station, salad bar, hot food, noodle booth, fruits, juices, and typical local food. We went for bfast at 8am, found the restaurant full and had to sit out in morning sun, which we did not prefer. WiFi was good most of the times. Slight noise from corridor.

Nice and friendly staff, always smiling and ready to help with any problem. iF, I had a complaint, (and this complaint would be minor in all aspects) is that the staff should be better trained in the English language. I would gladly return to this hotel again.

Great hotel but a bit isolated

The hotel was much better than I expected. An easy walk to the local tourist attractions but there weren't many decent restaurants nearby. Mostly only small, local places. It felt a bit isolated. There is one bar that's about a five to ten minute walk away. Rickshaw drivers hang out in the parking lot and it's only a few dollars to go to Malioboro where it's a bit more lively. Check out the alleyways around the hotel for local life.

Well managed hotel but fragile chain of info

It was a good experience when checking in and the next day during breakfast as the group from local schools are about 400 kids occupying the same facilities but private guests are separated and not hindered by the large group.
However the next really early we request breakfast box, order that a day before at the restaurant, reminded the night before to front desk....then in the morning it's NOT ready!? They gave us some old bakery stuff that even have some white mildew like on the surface!!
So we just throw those out.
I suppose the chain of management needs to review how well the staff really work.

Honestly I loved the place. It is just like a fancy Hotel in USA but cheaper. LOL
I loved the housekeeping staff ! If you have any problem with your room just ask and they will fix it !

Room was nice and just like in the pictures.
Breakfast is a huge INDONESIAN buffet (90% of guests are Asian) but any Westerner can also find eggs,bread, fruit,cereal, plenty of choice if you don't feel like Nasi Campur first thing in the Morning.

The only thing that bothered me was that you could hear everything from the Hallway in front of your door. Be aware Indonesians often travel with small kids and from early am you will have small kids running down the hallway screaching ! But I was so happy i found this place after staying at Rumah Roso, which was a dump...so I almost didn't mind.

Also most Indonesian Ladies will go into the pool fully clothed or not at all so the pool was mainly used by toddlers.LOL

All in all I liked it a lot plus there is thie amazing restaurant \"Spesial Sambal SS\" NEXT DOOR ...try it !!!!

Clean and spacious accommodation

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was spacious and clean and the facilities were good. Location is ideal with ATM across the road and restaurants within 10 minutes walking distance. Staff were helpful in organising the trip to Borobudur and Prambanan. We had wifi issues but the IT guys sorted it out. Overall very satisfied.

Tired room and everything is okay

The room is a bit tired. The toilet is not clean and with a damp smell. The location is not close to Malioboro but I like the area, with some art galleries and restaurants nearby. A 10 minutes walk will take you to a bus to Tugu Station. Room-service food does not taste too good.

We arrived early after 4 flights and hardly any sleep. After talking to the front desk they were able to accommodate us and within an hour we were checked in and able to get some sleep. We also arranged a sunrise tour of Borobudor. The hotel is near some nice restaurants (15 min walk).

Good stay for 2 nights. Bed's are comfortable and you have evrything you need in the room. Good choices of tv channels. My aircon made weird noises when I arrived and when the technician opened it, it was full of dust. After cleaning it out it was ok again. The area is a bit far from the center (Malioboro) so I would prefer to stay somewhere closer to the center. But therefore the hotel is pretty quiet and there are actually a few good restaurants in the area. Price/Value was great!

Filthy Hotel and Unfriendly staff

I book for two rooms and stay in #709 & #711, while check in found that the corridor is very dirty specially in front of our room doors. A lot of crumbs of biscuit.

Under the bed is very filthy, I look accidentally when I drop my key.

And this is the important thing : HK didn't change sheet.
I found big spot in my sheet and HK didn't change that sheet even-though I stay for 2 nights.

Kitchen Staff unpolite and not well prepared.
We have to queuing for omelette & sausage for about 30 minutes.

I stayed for 2 nights in room 507. The hair dryer was broken and then the maintenance guy replaced it with another hair dryer that's only slightly better. Bed was okay. Hospitality from the staff was great. Breakfast choice was as one can hope from a budget hotel, although the dining area/restaurant isn't spacey enough to accommodate busy mornings.

This is a very nice hotel, quite new, and a great value. The staff is excellent, everyone was very helpful. The buffet breakfast is excellent, it made my all-star list. The location is good, a reasonably short walk to the Water Palace, Sultan Palace, etc. Malioboro is a bit further, but still walkable, though there are numerous cheap transit options waiting for you in the hotel driveway. Wifi service is fine. There are some pretty good restaurants in the area and a couple of bars a few blocks away. The hotel location is quiet. Overall, this hotel is a great value. The only suggestion I might make is to replace the fluorescent light bulbs in the rooms with LED bulbs, which would be brighter, whiter, and lower power.

Everything was really quite good - the food, wifi, room, service, etc.

Everything was great until we were leaving and we learned that we owed $10 for breakfast. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but it was super confusing and annoying considering we were on our way to the airport. It wasn't clear why we were being charged because we had 2 $5 coupons. But we learned that this didn't cover the breakfast - only half of it. So apparently breakfast costs $10 a person, but this makes absolutely no sense considering that full dinner meals run for maybe $3. Sure, it's only $10. It was just not knowing what was going on and that being very unclear. They just need to be clear on prices and how breakfast works.

Other than that it was great.

Needless to say, this is one of the best hotels I have stayed at, between Bali and Jakarta as far as value and quality on all fronts.

We were pleasantly surprised when we pulled up to NEO Awana. The staff at the front desk were wet welcoming and the lobby smelt like a spa. Our room was very clean, modern, spacious and had all the amenities. The bed was like heaven. Our first night we. Received a call from the front desk to ensure we were settling in well! The pool and lounging area is also great for when you need a break from the city. A close walk to the main streets with all the restaurants. However the were very pleased with the food from the hotel and how reasonable it was. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Pleasant 5 night stay in Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights on a Yogyakarta sightseeing trip with my wife and a couple of friends. Hotel condition and service staff were great though did run into some difficulties with communicating with staff when speaking English. Overall, a good experience but on our two weekend days there the hotel had a very large group for some business function. This made waiting for elevators a major challenge, often having to let 4 or 5 go by before being able to get on. This group also caused a problem with waiting at breakfast time.
eggs and waffles had to be cooked to order and only one cook was doing this job for the very large group and made it necessary to wait 15 - 20 minutes to get served.
Neighborhood was just OK - a bit further from Malioboro St. than I would have liked, making it impractical to walk there from the hotel. Overall though, hotel was fine and a good value for the money. Once the crowd disappeared, things were much more quiet and enjoyable.

Overal we had a good stay. Wifi was terrible in the room, made it difficult to work.
Personnel was very good especially in the restaurant, at the front desk they left room for improvement.

Whish they could just clean the bathrooms better. A little brush would do miracles in a few minutes. Breakfast was fine, the fresh juices mace a difference however the kitchen was filthy! If they keep it clean in the dining room whh can't they clean it in the most important area, where they handle the food?

The hotel has a good location to see the main sights of the town. Nearby there are several streets with a wide selection of restaurants and bars with life music. Although the hotel is new and the reception staff are very friendly, the housekeeping needs to be improved. The corridors, rooms and the bed linen were not always spotless clean and I believe this is due to size of the hotel and there were not enough housekeeping staff for so many rooms. We have stayed at the hotel during Christmas period which was also the holiday season in Indonesia. Therefore the hotel was full with large family groups and tour groups. We did not have an issue with this but other travellers might be aware of this as the brekfast room can get very busy. The swimming pool is right next to the eating area. We returned to the swimming pool late afternoon and then hardly anyone was using the area. Overall is a good basic budget hotel.

The hotel was near to the Kraton and Sultan's Palace. It had helpful staff, the room was comfortable with all amenities: hot shower, comfortable bed, good air con, flat screen TV, toiletries. There was a small swimming pool beside the coffee shop. I had a great breakfast (paid extra as was not included). It is a modern, hip hotel.

This is a new hotel. The standard room is quite small and won't accommodate an extra bed. The superior room is larger. The extra bed is laid on the floor, so it's not suitable for people who have weak knees or back problems. The staff are helpful even though they may have some difficulty understanding the request.

Nice New Hotel in Town

They have a very nice room with clean sheets and clean room. Their staff also really friendly and the breakfast also good. Since i do some work during my trip, having a great WiFi so important, and i was so lucky to stay here because their connection really good. Really recommend this hotel.

Je ne sais pas si mon avis vaut quelque chose je suis passé d'un hotel 1* à Jakarta à celui ci, la différence est flagrante.

Sinon niveau écolo c'est pas mal vu qu'ils proposent de remplir votre bouteille d'eau au niveau du distributeur d'eau de l'étage.

Un atout supplémentaire un restaurant excellent juste a coté , le Waroeng SS Plengkung Gading , certains plats sont très épicé alors pour ceux qui n'auraient pas l'habitude posez la question avant de choisir ;)

룸 에어컨이 불량해서 결국 교체

호텔 투숙한 내용이다. 룸에있는 에어컨이 물이 떨어져서 바닥이 젖어있고 샤워실에서 샤워를 하면 하수구에 물이 안빠져서 교체를 요청했습니다. 핸드폰으로 찍은 사진까지 보여주니 다음날 교체해주었다.
