We got the impression that this hotel was almost like a farm setting, very rural and the photos give a ‘holiday village’ feel. The hotel is in a village on the main road. The rooms were very clean and the beds EXTRA comfortable! Not a lot to do in the area, but close to very nice villages and Ammersee.

Highly recommend to anyone interested in experiencing genuine Bavarian gemütlichkeit in a convenient location near Munich. The rooms were very clean, quiet and comfortable with modern bath fixtures. The food we ate in the gasthaus was fantastic, and if you're lucky enough to eat there on a Sunday you'll love the delicious desserts that are available, to include my favorite German kuchen, bienenstich. The Munchener schnitzel is worth a trip back by itself!

The staff at this family-run gasthaus is very friendly, attentive, and are fluent in English for those of us that only speak a smattering of Deutsch. My wife, as well as the other couple we were traveling with, had no previous experience staying in a German gasthaus. We enjoyed our stay so much that we wanted to extend our stay, however, there was no availability of rooms. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Landhotel and Gasthaus Wiedmann!

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

We arrived late from a 5+ hour drive from Wiesbaden and were informed that we missed the check-in hours. I was not aware of this detail. There was an employee present to assist, but NO ONE is trying to hear something like that after 5 hours of driving. I am just saying that there may have been a better way to inform me. The room was cozy and clean. The bathroom was adequate. As a 6'1, 195lbs man, the shower left little room to reach around and scrub your back without taking out a door or something. There was not much to complain about the room aside from the 'fart pillows' on each bed. My wife and son called them that because as you lay your head down and push the air out, the smell is almost like flatulence. This is all for the room and it would be a high 4 or low 5 just for that, but it appears that the restaurant is often combined, so here goes. We did not take part in the breakfast, so our one encounter was for a dinner. My food was great! I ordered a mustard based schnitzel with potatoes; they were great. My wife ordered a special and was brought out a schnitzel as well. This wouldn't have been an issue if the waitress would have said \"my bad\" and returned with the correct order. She actually argued with my wife saying that my wife ordered the schnitzel. In the end, there is NOTHING that compares to the affordability of this property. Anything closer to Munich will quadruple the night price and likely not come with free parking. We would consider staying here again.

Very traditional guesthouse in a quiet residential area. Easy parking. Room was basic but fine. Breakfast was ok. Unfortunately we didn’t get to try the restaurant as it was shut (Mondays) but staff recommended a local alternative in walking distance which was helpful as not much else around locally. Charged extra € for an additional person despite having booked and paid for a comfort double room which was unexpected.

Friendly country hotel

I stayed here for one night while travelling and must say it was a delightful discovery. Firstly, I received a genuinely friendly welcome, including my dog. The room was quiet, clean and spacious enough. The same goes for the bathroom. The hotel includes a restaurant and beer garden offering traditional Bavarian fare. The food was delicious. As for the surroundings, just 200 m from the hotels there are fields inviting for the walk.
I will be happy to stay here again.

The room was nice, very clean and the bed comfortable. We slept out towards the back, and enjoyed the balcony and view. The bathroom was clean, but extremely tiny. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would go back again.
Bonus: They offer a breakfast buffet with a nice variety of items! Also, they operate a restaurant with tasty local dishes.

Booked the “double room” described as including a 2 beds, either a queen and a twin or a king and a twin. The twin was basically a cot. And they added $ in addition to the stated cost for the additional person. So felt a little misled. Family run, decent breakfast; attentive service at meal. Pretty dramatic change from Holiday Inn in the city, but this is Bavaria, so this is how it is. Would be a great place in summer when their beer garden is open!

This is a guest house of 2 halves, one new, one traditional, we were in the traditional part. While admin was friendly there was little effort made to enhance that, we were given directions to the room and that was that. The room (13) was a good size but dated in design and furnishing. the curtains were broken on one corner and would not close properly and the heating did not function properly. The bathroom was a good size but again dated and had signs of wear, the shower door needed encouragement to close fully and the shower flexible pipe hung across the shower while you used it, not big things just irritating.
Breakfast was continental style but again service let us down by not advising that cooked eggs were available on request which we did not do.
Bed was comfortable and the area quiet so a good night was not an issue. Proximity to the autobahn makes this a convenient stay and if you get a new room I am sure it is much more pleasant.

Stayed overnight whilst on a road trip. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The restaurant was cozy and had a pleasant ambiance. On the night we stayed they had a 'spare ribs eat as much as you like like' evening as well as the normal menu items. Needless to say - we overate! Thoroughly recommended.

Wonderfully swish, modern accommodation with brilliant facilities - BUT - noisy road and church bells every quarter hour. No air-con. So a hot, sweaty, sleepless night in the lovely room! Nice restaurant served the usual, predictable german options. Pleasant without being special. We did not stay for breakfast as we always prefer to get ours at local bäckereien, rather than in hotels.

Great hotel in the countryside!

This beautiful hotel is located in the small town of Eresing. It's about a 45 minute drive from central Munich, and 30 minutes to the Ammersee town of Herrsching. The rooms are very clean, modern, and comfortable. Bathrooms are spacious, even by US standards! Our second floor room had a great balcony that overlooked the main street. We were able to sit out there in the morning and enjoy the sun. There is a restaurant in the hotel that serves excellent German cuisine, beer, and desserts at good prices. The only warning I have is that you really need a car to get around this area. There are S-Bahn and other rail stops in towns within a few kilometers, but none directly in Eresing.

Great stop for Romantic Road trip!

The hotel was very clean and tidy, as depicted in the pictures. The facilities are very modern. I loved how comfortable the beds and pillows are. Unfortunately there was no twin beds at all in the hotel, but they had two separate comforters. There were no cooking facilities on site but we had a meal at the hotel's restaurant and it was good, and reasonably priced.

We were driving on the Romantic Road trip and wanted to find a place to stay near Ausgang, and this hotel is just 0.5 hours away. It is also an hour away from our next stop, Neuschwanstein castle, so all in all, it was very convenient for us in terms of location.

Very modern and new rooms. No phone or clock in room. It is fine if you have a phone that works in Germany. The staff were really good. They said they speak a little English, but it was fluent as far as I am concerned. The restaurant was quite good. Very close to rail station that brings you right into downtown Munich. We arrived early, a note was on the front door of the hotel/restaurant with all the names of that evenings guests. After putting the message into Google translante, we found that you were to ring the bell by the outside stairs. Done, a very pleasant woman can and give us out key.
The town is very quiet and we opted to eat both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The food was very good, and resonable priced. Would stay there again for sure.

Zimmer war neu renoviert, das Personal freundlich, das Frühstück mega lecker und qualitativ, im Biergarten kann man gut essen. Hotel liegt an der Straße und den Verkehr hört man ein wenig. Würde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen, die Lage ganz in der Nähe vom Ammersee und Wörthsee ist wirklich super.

Der Check-In, die Unterbringung, das leckere Essen sowie der gesamten Aufenthalt, es ist einfach alles perfekt.
Man merkt hier deutlich mit welch außergewöhnlichem Engagement und welch außergewöhnlicher Gastfreundlichkeit die gesamte Familie Wiedmann dieses tolle Landhotel führt. Es passt einfach alles!!
Als Gast ist man hier einfach hervorragend untergebracht. Auch die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und werden gründlich gereinigt. Dies spiegelt sich aber auch im Frühstücksraum sowie in allen anderen Gasträumen wieder. Besonders toll und wohl auch ebenso unvergleichbar mit anderen Hotels/Restaurants sind die verschiedenen Tagesaktionen (mit bayerischen Spezialitäten) sowie die Top Arrangements, welche man auf alle Fälle nutzen sollte. Absolut empfehlenswert!! Das Essen ist geschmacklich ein echter Gaumengenuss und die Portionen sind stets reichlich. Zusammenfassend kann man nur sagen: „Absolut Top und auf alle Fälle mehr als nur empfehlenswert!!“ BRAVO, weiter so!!

Landhotel - für Durchreisende sehr zu empfehlen

Das Personal war ausgesprochen nett u. zuvorkommend, besonders, da zum Zeitpunkt meiner Ankunft gerade ein Notfall mit erforderlichem Rettungsdienst, innerhalb des Familienunternehmens eintrat. Trotz dieser emotionalen Umstände, einschliesslich dem späteren Versterben des Familienmitgliedes, bewahrte das gesamte Personal seine Fassung und alle setzten ihre Arbeit am Gast, in einer bewundernswerten, stoischen Ruhe fort. Das hat mich persönlich sehr beeindruckt. Ich möchte Ihnen meine Hochachtung, sowie mein aufrichtiges Beileid aussprechen!
Sehr sauberes, komfortables u. großes Einzelzimmer.
Leider lag das Zimmer an einer sehr verkehrsreichen, vielbefahrenen Hauptstraße. Der Schlaf war entsprechend getrübt.
Zum Essen kann ich mich nur zum Frühstücks-Büffet äussern und das war reichlich, alles frisch und sehr gut!
Für Durchreisende sehr zu empfehlen.

Die Inhaber Familie und Personal kümmern sich hervorragend um das Wohl der Gäste.
Die Küche und Speisen sind sehr gut.

Genug Parkplätze.
Kurzer Weg zum Ammersee und den anderen Seen.

Das einzige was stört ist der Durchgangsverkehr und die Fahrgeräusche.

Wir haben nur 1 Nacht im Landhotel Wiedmann verbracht. Es gibt gute Parkmöglichkeiten. Das Abendessen war sehr lecker. Das Zimmer war für 3 Personen ausreichend gross. Wir fanden es sehr hellhörig. Ein Fliegengitter vor dem Fenster wäre wünschenswert.
Das Frühstück war für 12€ ok. Ein Kaffeevollautomat wäre jedoch super.
Der Hund durfte mit übernachten. Er durfte sogar mit in den Frühstücksraum.
Das Personal ist super freundlich. Dafür ein riesen Lob.
Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt

Hotel di campagna, situato in un piccolo comune a circa 50 km di distanza da Monaco, molto caratteristico tipico di una gasthaus. Camera e bagno grande, landhotel pulito, silenzioso con personale gentile. Un pò spartano, nella nostra camera non c'era il frigobar, ma è normale in un albergo con queste caratteristiche. L'unica pecca forse può essere la distanza dalle città (Monaco o Augsburg), ma se si ha la macchina per spostarsi o se vi piace vivere qualche giorno in tranquillità questo è il vostro albergo.

Ich hatte ein Zimmer zur Hauptstraße. Schlafen bei offenem Fenster unmöglich. Die Gummidichtungen an der Duschkabine sollten erneuert werden. Der Teppichboden ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Unverständlich warum man renoviert und den drin lässt. Übernachtung ohne Frühstück aufm Land für den Preis happig. Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Parkplatz hinter dem Haus viel zu eng.

Het ziet er allemaal heel netjes uit zowel Gasthof als kamers. Het personeel is ook vriendelijk. Het ontbijt vond ik, bovenop de kamerprijs, aan de dure kant. Jammer dat de werklui in het gebouw ernaast (in aanbouw) al voor 7 uur aan het timmeren slaan.
