If i could give this place a negative rating I would. Cockroaches, ac unit makes a loud sound (had to switch rooms), furniture belongs in the garbage, there isnt a light, lampshade, or outlet cover thats straight, people smoking weed with their room windows open (yes, they open), locks broken, big gap under door, hot water doesnt work - until it does, dirty, pool closed, exterior is unkempt. There is nothing good about this hotel. This is me telling you about my stay.

We have stayed at this location multiple times and enjoyed it. However, at our recent stay, there were notable changes. The pull out sofa bed in our room was extremely shabby and no bedding was provided for it. The water pressure was very low and the temperature of the water was barely warm. The breakfast had been paired back. The smell of weed was prevalent in the hallways. Overall, it’s a sufficient spot to stay overnight on a budget but keep your expectations low.

The breakfast can use some help. The eggs were like eating cardboard. We chose to not take advantage of the continental breakfast. Wasn’t worth it.

We also had a cockroach in our room which I wasn’t happy about. We told the staff but not sure what they will do with that information.

Safety bolt lock on door would not close properly, water pressure in shower could be better.

Only For One Night

The hotel is conveniently located off the interstate. It's clean, yet there are some upgrades that are needed. I stayed in the king suite. Furniture in this particular room was very worn and outdated. You had to hold the handle down on the toilet for it to flush properly. The entrance into the hotel didn't always work. There were times when you literally had to take your hands to prior open the door just a little to get it started. On this particular day, the free breakfast was what looked like possibly chipped beef and eggs that looked undesirable to say the least. I personally recommend only 1 night stay, but the choice is yours. I checked in close to 9pm. The young lady was very courteous and pleasant. Also, the young lady that checked us out was also very courteous and pleasant.

The hotel has been renovated but it still is an old building where you hear the doors closing and plumbing use from surrounding rooms.
The breakfast bar is not for health conscious people. Eggs are like rubber choices are very limited.

It was good but short. Had a hard time sleeping due to I sleep in a recliner at home cause I have sleep apnea. A little upset cause for the last four or so years the pool and hot tub have been down. I feel you would have a better turn out if they were working cause I was talking to another gentleman who stayed there at the same time we did.

Worst experience & stay

Upon checking in the lobby it seemed ok , once I was handed my key card. I took the elevator upstairs to my room. Elevator is old and dirty. The hallway smelled like mildew and something very bad when I opened the room door it smelled the same way. I was very surprised at what I was looking at the bathroom was to say OK still dirty the sofa bed that they have in the room look like it was broken down and it looked like it had blood stains on the armrest the curtains were stained yellow, like if they hadn’t been washed since they first opened that hotel. The window was very stained and very dirty. The covers on the beds, were stained yellow. Also the breakfast was just waffles, cereal and some old looking bread to make toast, bagel or biscuit. The orange juice smelled like it had rubbing alcohol in it first sip I took it didn’t even taste like orange juice I threw it out and I then tried the apple juice nope didn’t even taste like apple juice so i just left and checked out I was suppose to check out until Sunday but I checked out Saturday early morning. I couldn’t stay here!

No sign on front of hotel. Very dark and drab inside. Strong disinfectant smell. Assume they are renovating. My room was clean, however, couch(photo) was disgusting. Bathroom was clean and renovated, except fan was very loud and I could not keep light on at night because of the noise. No one available at check out to talk to about my complaints. Breakfast was minimal, grabbed a banana on my way out.

This was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. Let me begin with the good: the bed was comfortable, the AC wasn't too loud, and the shower had decent water pressure.

I would warn anyone considering staying here to go somewhwere else. I checked into my room and had a few items in a cooler so I opened the refrigerator only to find it running but warm. I tried to turn on the TV and it would not start, so I picked up the phone in my room to call the front desk only for the phone to be dead. I went downstairs where the only employee behind the desk was checking in two other victims so I waited and shared my complaints. While they helped me get the TV up and running, they never replaced the phone (it had a short in the cord) or the refrigerator.

The ice maker in the hallway was out of order. The indoor swimming pool was empty and the WiFi may have been dial-up! The platform for one of the beds in my room was held together with duct tape. I had a \"suite\" that was supposed to have a love seat, all i had was a bench. The cover on the office chair was flaking off. It looked as if nothing had been updated since the day this place first opened.

Since my room was charged to my card by Expedia when I booked, I had no recourse as to getting at least some of my money back. Take it from me: AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

The property presents its self as suitable when you enter however the rooms are dated. The couches were falling apart, and when I asked if there was a different room, I was told I’m sorry with no real explanation to yes or no the telephone did not work I could not call down to the front desk. I could hear them, but they could not hear me many stains on the wall and carpet. I’d really like my money back and then had to put a $50 deposit for incidentals. pool has been shut down since Covid.

The only washing machine on the entire property was out of order ( not working). Also the indoor pool / zacuzzi was not open. The service was not great but the hotel was very clean and very quiet, The beds our extremely comfortable and because of the bed and the peaceful atmosphere I would stay here again however I hope that they have the washing machines available on my next stay.

Booked this hotel while in town for a family reunion. Specifically chose it for the indoor pool because I have two daughters who were excited by swimming after the reunion.

False advertising! The front desk clerk informed me they have issues with maintaining the chemicals of the pool so it's rarely operable. But they haven't removed it from the website or put any caveats to let you know this facility is not available!

Also, front desk clerk took close to ten minutes to check us in. I've traveled a lot for work and have no idea what was going on with him behind the counter; I've never had a check in experience so slow and arduous before.

Waste of money, disappointment. Should've stayed with relatives instead of trying to give my girls a bit of fun with an indoor pool. Dishonest grifters.

The pool was under repair and not allowed to use . This was one of the main reasons i booked this place, and I was traveling with my wife and 03 kids. Breakfast was poor quality, bath rooms were not cleaned properly. Room was bit smelly and pillows were dirty. The staff was super friendly and nice. This was the only good thing.

The advertised pool has been closed for 4 years. The coin op washer was broken. We found cockroaches in our room and squished them and brought them to the front desk. We saw cereal smashed into the rug on the third floor that was there for 3 days. My fiance found hair in her food.

The main thing that held this experience back from being a five star experience was the loud guests in the morning before checkout. There was about 2 or 3 hours of the guests in the surrounding rooms knocking on each other's doors and yelling for them to let each other in. Yelling in the hallway was excessive and annoying. This wasnt the hotels fault but it made the morning far more restless and bothersome than it could have been. The indoor pool and fitness center were useful and the breakfast in the morning was sufficient. The room was clean but there were issues with the TV that made it unable to be turned off without some work. After this was resolved everything about the room itself was as expected. I don't particularly care for the rooms where the sink is separate from the bathroom. There was another sink in the kitchenette that could have been used for any other purposes while the restroom was in use. It would've been nicer if the entire bathroom area was enclosed because this part of the floor plan gives the room cheap motel vibes. This is the same floorplan in another Springhill suites I stayed at in the Charlotte area and in both of these rooms the bathroom door wouldn't close reliably. To me most of these things are mere details. The negatives are cumulatively the things that made this stay less than perfect but the positives and generally good amenities are what made the stay pretty good overall.

The pool is not working, every time we was at the front desk someone was having some type of issues with their room, we also had to get new keys made twice so we could get in our room. But on the bright side the roof didnt leak the people were friendly, we got a free breakfast and we got some much needed rest that we needed that we couldnt get at home.

My daughter (Nurse Practitioner) and son in law (Fire fighter/EMT) came to NC to see their twin siblings graduate High School and stayed close to us and their stay was OK but concerned and did not like the fact that there were roaches in their room and also that the same person *unknown if employee or not was outside smoking each and every time they went outside or came back to the hotel. Smoking is that person's business but not when they (visitors) are inhaling it as they walk in and walk out at the hotels as set designated smoke area is at the front door.

The stay was very comfortable. Though, the sham had some kind of stain on it and the drawer on one of the night stands was broken and wouldnt stay closed. The ottoman for the pullout couch had visible wear and tear on it. The bathroom fan either was non existent or broken. The tv was off center to the foot of the bed. But otherwise the room served its purpose. The pillows are tiny squares as opposed to actual full sized bed pillows.

Hotel is very dated , could use remodeling and updating still in 80s look/decor.. NEVER saw online that pool was not avail or out of service or would have chose another location.
Computer system was down day of check in could not check anyone in, everyone had to wait or comeback later.
1 elevator for entire hotel , furniture throughout old dated.
Family members staying in other rooms saw

Fridge did not keep anything cool in room.. pullout sofa looked dirty, nasty . Bathroom was clean and room itself was clean other than the nasty , dirty phone in room. Housekeeping was notified of dirty phone and she acted as if it was normal, ok.I sprayed lysol throughout room contantly and freshner .
1 night was all i stayed and wont again

I don't know what good buying trip insurance is when it's not honored when you need it. I needed to change my reservation cuz my family changed plans on me. Anyway hotel wasn't flexible.
Not a bad place. Absolutely bad location. Nothing attractive nearby. Room was ok. Breakfast was on the low end of acceptable. Bland. Cold eggs and cold sausage gravy with not much sausage, and even colder biscuits.
Basically no one bothering about details.
