I understand it's an eco-friendly hotel but finding 3 very large roaches in my bathroom our first night was shocking. The worst part was that since it was around 11pm there was no staff until the next day to get is another room. My wife did not want to sleep in that room so we had to go hunt for another hotel at midnight. Since this is a small town practically all hotels had no staff working at that time so we could not get a room anywhere and had to return to this hotel and make do.
The next day we spoke at front desk and they said they were fully booked and had no other room to give us. They did perform a thorough cleaning of the room since we would have to stay there the second night. Unfortunately again we had roaches the second night as well.
We complained to the manager but she said there wasn't much she could do due to the hotel's location and the time of year when roach presence increases. She first offered us a free dessert or a glass of wine.......as if that would get me back the hours of sleep we lost. After I mentioned I would have to put in a bad review she raised her offer to dinner......same difference. She really didn't seem to be concerned about us or the situation.
However the staff was the opposite, they all went out of their way to help remedy the situation and make us feel better.
In the end, aside from the hotel staff, we are quite upset over this experience. Disgusting roaches in our bathroom, lost hours of sleep, and an unapologetic hotel manager.

The national park was so close! Everything about the property was fantastic, shout out to Mr.Santiago for making the best drinks! Everyone was very attentive I would love to go back for a longer stay. Only stayed for one night to check it out and I was not disappointed!!!

The hotel is conveniently located between el Morro and el Malecon. Walkable to restaurants and to boat tours. Everything that the hotel offered was excellent. The staff were great. The pool was great and the rooms were spacious with all amenities.

We really love this location, the employees were friendly for the most part, the accommodations were nice, the only thing I would suggest is that this hotel invest in better beds, I was aching every night, because it was uncomfortable to sleep in the bed. And the air conditioner was loud, making it hard to sleep. Everything else was fine.

When we arrived after 2 p.m. at the hotel, our room wasn't ready, although the hotel was almost empty (only us and another couple).The swimming pool area is under repair, but we wasn't informed previously about this situation. It looked totally abandoned. The waiter at the restaurant was in a hurry and served us coffee and food at the same time without giving us time to relax and enjoy the view.

The property grounds are beautiful and well-kept. Our room was clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are better, more inexpensive dining options a short drive away, however the breakfast included was amazing! We had a very enjoyable and peaceful stay, and look forward to visiting again in the future.

This was a nice property in a remoter area of the DR. They helped arrange tours. We went on the island tour and also the mangrove tour. Skip the island tour but please take the opportunity to swim in the mangroves. The restaurant was a little limited and the bed covers were noisy. But I would recommend a trip out there at least once.

I like the service. Most of the staff was very welcoming. I also liked the setting it’s beautiful and peaceful if that’s what you’re looking for. There isn’t much entertainment and the food is good but expensive. They should have a food plan for people who are staying for more than 3 days. I had a group of 4 people and I spent about $200 a day in food. the breakfast menu was very limited and they didn’t have the yogurt and the fruits on the menu. Also the management is very rigid . I paid for 5 people and the manager refused to refunded the $99 for the extra person. My advice, they should try to keep the customers happy. I usually travel with 7 people in total and would go back if if they had more reasonable administrative staff. I spent a lot of money in food so they shouldn’t have a problem refunding the $99.

It's a very nice hotel. The price seemed excessive for this part of the region, but it's probably justified because they are most likely the one with the best quality installation, nice pool, nice deck, the staffs were great. The WiFi sort of sucked thou. And no WiFi service in the rooms. They have No nightlife activities in the hotel such as live music. The food/breakfast fell a little short. We even skipped breakfast the following morning & ate somewhere in the town. Overall, is a very nice hotel, not cheap, offers the Mediterranean feelings, privacy and quietness.
