Generally good, the room is pretty decent. Except thermostat is not working so we cannot lower the room temp. Electric kettle keeps leaking too. TV are in Italian or German, so can't use it. Though wifi was great!

BEWARE of bedbugs! I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in 2 different rooms, only to find that I'd been bitten a dozen times on my feet, arms and legs. It wasn't until the day after my departure that I realized the bedbug problem. Some staff members could use more manners with clients. Hotel to be avoided or take the necessary precautions. Be advised.

I was on the second floor and the toilette contstantly made bubbling sound and smelled like septic. Also you could smell the pet scent on the carpet. Cleaners were not friendly at all when asked for 10minutes to leave the room. Overall close to colloseum and trevi fountain.

When I booked the property, it was showing between 11-15min to places like the trevi fountain and colosseum. However, it was much longer than that and we ended up spending so much money on transport that we could’ve saved in other hotels! Even the receptionists told us it was 20-25 min away, so they were aware of the distance. Don’t lie in your description! People book based on location and it’s not ok to get there, trust the information you’ve given and realised it was all lies!!

Toilet was also not cleaned well, you could see they clean only where is visible, so it was also not a good experience having to use that toilet.

There was nothing unique about this property, I do not know how Expedia include this hotel in their system as four stars, this is not true, I will give it two stars.
I booked for 5 days, but I got tired and left the fourth day, you guys messed up our vacation, we relied on you to give us an honest review, the review was 8 out of 10, it is not near 2 out of 10.
Do not be deceived by the picture that they posted, it is not true. Anyone who try to get to this Hotel, please do not you will regret it.

The only good thing about this hotel is that it included breakfast and it was clean other than that I would not recommend this hotel. We came to Italy in mid May our room was warm and stuffy and they wouldn't put on the A/C. Our room always smelled like sewage. The towels were old and had holes in them. It is to far from all the main attractions. It took us 20mins to get to anything like
Vatican City, Colosseum, ect. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

Great business hotel far from City Centre

Great business hotel, ideal if you are driving as the Highway is close by. Rooms are spacious and very clean with good Internet connectivity. One word of warning, this hotel in, this hotel is not ideal if you want to tour Rome. The the nearest metro is 30 minutes walk away at a brisk walk And the nearest tram is 12 minutes away. It's still took 45 minutes to get to terminate 3 to terminate train station. Otherwise this hotel is superb

The property overall is ok. Towels in the room where not that clean with stains very visible. Also the electric kettle was very dirty that I had to clean and wash several times before using it. At checkout we had to pay for city tax which wasn't charged by Expedia but the hotel credit card system according to front desk staff wasn't working so he had to write my CC information down to charge it later. I gave him my email to send me a copy of the receipt but never happened. I informed my bank for any unusual charges on my card begining the hour after checkout.

Reception is warm and welcoming, breakfast is ok but service team is cleaning right when clients are still in the area without notifying - very annoying. Rooms definitely need to be updated , however, warm (in winter) and comfy, beds are too soft and not pleasant to sleep on. The area is very accommodating when driving, parking is free (unguarded public zone) and great (can see your car from the window of your room) close to ciampino airport about 16 min drive

Worst experience ever- Definitely not a 4 star!

The worst hotel I have stayed in my life by far. Terrible service by the hotel staff. The rooms we had were dirty, and broken, holes in walls. The towels had not been changed and put back up on the towel racks. When the hotel staff were informed they tried to say that's how new towels looked like. When presented with new towels that we had as well as those in another of our rooms they apologised.
One of the rooms air conditioning units was not working and they accepted they could do nothing without hesitation and didn't try and resolve the issue or present another room. After complaining to the manager, we were then provided two pedestal fans. When asking the reception staff about the parking facilities provided by the hotel and travel to the city centre they seemed lost and could not explain at all. Overall the worst hotel I have ever stayed in especially on a 10 day trip in Italy, even worse than a camping chalet in Florence. 4 star - i think NOT!

Front desk staff are just fantastic and want to help out in any way possible. The hotel as it says is express, so it caters for large tourist groups there for the night. Skip the breakfast and you won't miss anything. Hotel is clean, in a distant location so there's only residential buildings around and a huge grocery story next door. I found the detergent smell they used in washing the bedding too imposing and overpowering - neutral freshness is a much better option.

The amenities on this property included a restaurant/bar. This hotel does not have that. Breakfast is served in the lobby area. There are vending machines but no ice machine. No irons or dressers in the rooms and although we requested two beds our room only had one. During our stay, we asked for an iron and got one but when we plugged it in, we blew a breaker and although an employee came right away, it still took time to resolve. No do not disturb signs and a housekeeper came in while we were sleeping to clean.

Hotel was very clean and bright. Staff were always very helpful, polite and approachable. Nice breakfast, with plenty of choice. Stayed for six nights and always got a table straight away at breakfast time. The hotel is quite far out of Rome City Centre , however, a ten minute walk took us to the tram stop which took 40 minutes to get to Termini Station. The hotel provides a shuttle service for 2 Euros per person to the train station which gets you to Termini station in less than 20 minutes (check return time pick ups at hotelreception) Felt safe using both tram and train, and it’s a great way to see the outskirts of Rome. A shopping centre is a short walk from the hotel with a very large supermarket which catered for all our needs. A nice sandwich/coffee shop is opposite. Quite a few other shops and restaurants are around too. Would recommend this hotel if you’re happy to travel into Rome each day. Would also recommend purchasing the 3 day Omnia/Roma Pass cards too for entry into The Vatican and a couple of the main sights, also can use for public transport and Vatican open top tour bus.

The walls were very thin. There was a lot of movement in the halls during the night. I got woken up by the person next door when their alarm went off at 3.30 and they continued to hit the snooze button. The room was exceptionally hot.

The hotel is approximately 40 minutes from the sites but public transport is very good. I used google maps to get around but the staff are very happy to book you a taxi.

Convenient hotel for Rome if you have a car.

Holiday inn express Rome East has plenty of easy parking, rooms are comfortable but no fridge. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. If you have a car and are traveling in to see Rome then drive to Santa Maria del Cossorno train station car park. It is only 1.5 Euro for 12 hours and you can catch the (packed) train into the Colloseo station.

The hotel is far from the city center. You need an hour to reach at the Roma Termini (the central train station). 10 minutes walk to the tram line, 10 minutes for waiting time, and 40 minutes to reach there. The hotel doesn't have facilities such as safe boxes in the room, no refrigerator and no room service. My stay there was disappointing.

Staff weren't very helpful with a poor grasp of English. Breakfast was awful and when the food ran out there was often no replenishing. The tables weren't cleared and they ran out of cutlery on a daily basis . On one evening there was a problem with the water (there was none)and when we asked what was happening they shrugged their shoulders and said it would be fixed. They have us a small bottle of water do my partner could take his medication. When it was finally fixed the water came through brown and took sometime to clear. We had to buy water from machine to make a drink in our room . All this with no apologies.

My purse got stolen out of my car while my kids were in the car in the parking lot! Need I saw more...all my cash and my credit cards were stolen out of my car... thank god my passports weren't stolen otherwise Id be panhandling in Rome to get back home. And when I told the front desk what happened they were not one bit surprised, not to mention when I told the police my purse was stolen in the parking lot of Holiday Inn they laughed and said yes everyday atleast one person comes from there to report a robbery! My kids were terrified they were conned into getting out of the car because they pretended to hit the car and when they got out to look at the car the other fellow opened the front door and took my purse from the car and a third guy was the driver who pulled up and they all got in and ran. So this is a well thought out plan they have and I hope telling my story saves your trip from being ruined. The area is also disgusting and hotels room are gross and smell bad. There is fungus on the bathroom tiles and the carpet feels wet and has a nasty odor.

Great vacation stay! Close to Metro!

I stayed at this hotel for vacation in Rome. It was a great experience overall. The hotel and bathroom were very clean. Additionally, the complimentary breakfast had much variety and the restaurant bar is open 24 hours. The hotel is a brief taxi ride to the Tiburtina Metro station, and will only cost a few Euro. The only complaint I have with the hotel is that there isn't any television programming in English; it's all in Italian. In all fairness, that's probably the case with most hotels in Italy though.

Excellent & helpful staff; can't say enough good things about the staff! The hotel is very nicely located and close to a metro station. The hotel is also located adjacent to a well-stocked/modern grocery store and a downtown area that has plenty of dining opportunities. The area seems very safe and there is plenty of available parking. The hotel rooms are very modern and in great condition. If you stay anywhere else while in Rome, you are making a mistake!

We booked one night in this hotel because of an early flight out of Rome. We were coming from Tuscany by train and its location was conveniently located in relation to our train station (Roma Tiburtina). The nightly fare was excellent for overpriced Rome market and the photos on Hotel.com seemed OK. Therefore, it was a choice that we don't regret. Unfortunately, do to our very early flight, we couldn't reach the Fiumicino airport through public transportation, and had to swallow a 90Euro cab ride (double the average taxi fare). Therefore in the end, our hotel stay ended up being much more expensive than we hoped for.

However, the hotel was excellent in itself! The room was clean, large and comfortable. The bathroom appointed at state of the art level. The lobby and common area were clean and fresh and the staff was helpful and very courteous. The night receptionist even made me and my husband two amazing cappuccinos when we checked out at 3:30AM and gave my kids brioche and juice, because he felt bad that we would miss the complimentary breakfast... Overall a great experience. I would stay again if I didn't have to check in/out at irregular hours. A subway station is not too far, therefore Rome is reachable on your own but keep in mind that the subway service doesn't run 24/7.

I stayed here twice, it of necessity while my wife was in the nearby hospital. It was the best available option, but in addition to the problems in the title, there's no restaurant, just a breakfast, and the area doesn't have a lot of dining choices in walking distance.

The neighborhood isn't that great, either. Had to run the gauntlet of prostitutes on the way to the buses...

It would have been a good stay, price is good. They turned off the AC the whole time we were there (3 nights) and the room is like an oven, the kids could not sleep and the front desk did not even offer any alternative like an electric fan at least. They said its a law in Rome but i talked to some people and they said there is no such law in Rome that require a building to turn off their AC in a certain months, like March?

Really good for money
Daily house cleaning very good. Reception staff very good. Brilliant breakfast.
Crowded breakfast place. Nearest metro station is 20-30 min walk

hotel is a far way from central rome, needed to walk about 10 minutes to get to the street car station. Then take the street car for approx 14 stops before your in Central Rome.

Hotels.com and Holiday Inn did not indicate that the hotel air conditioning was under maintenance, made the room very uncomfortable to sleep in when it was 26 degree outside during the day.

Nice stay.

15 min outside of Rome city center by car. For family of 4, good value for price. Breakfast was decent. Only problem was room was hot. AC not turned on so we had to open window.

Lovely hotel!!!

Lovely hotel, very helpful staff. The hotel is only five minutes walk away from the tram station where you can take tram 14 for €1.50 which takes you to the main termini station where you can take buses and metro to go anywhere in Rome. The hotel is only 20 minutes away from the airport. Our flight landed at night time and the taxi driver charged us €45 to take us to the hotel. The taxi that be got on the way back to go to the airport to cars and charged us only €23 according to the meter so just be careful of that.

Rome one night stand

Really nice place ,handy to the tram and bus ,nice breakfast ,no complaints .plenty of parking
Stayed one night whilst connecting into Europe.
