Friendly staff. We were able to leave bags at property for the afternoon before we could check in & could leave our bags until 6pm after check out so could still enjoy the city without having to take luggage!
Room was clean & we had fresh towels both nights we stayed.
Lovely area with restaurants, shops, transport & only a 5 minute walk to the Spanish Steps. A great location for a trip to Rome!!

It was a very special stay in Rome.
The location of Residenza Canova Tadolini was perfect for our first time visit as it is within walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and other sites in the city as well as great restaurants in the area.
The front desk personnel were very friendly and welcoming. Barbara went above and beyond in making sure we were very comfortable with our room.
I highly recommend this property.

The property conditions are very very bad. The entrance is terrible, super old, fake and dusty flowers, the carpets are dirty and old, as I got in I wanted to run away. The lady at the check in is very nice, helpful and really welcoming.
The room was oldish, but not small. The location is perfect.

Picking a place to stay in Rome can be quite tricky, but I’m very glad I came across this hotel! Right in the heart of Campino Marzio Rome. Walking distance to the trevi fountain and the Spanish steps. Only a 30 minute walk (a beautiful walk at that) to Colosseum, Pantheon and Vatican City. The Residenza Hotel was inlaid with beautiful style inside the room, easy check in, and close to souvenir shops and restaurants. Night life was quite fun too! Things are open pretty late around this area as well. Definitely a great hotel where you can walk right out the front doors and enjoy the quiet bustle of Rome and all its architecture, history and local culture.

The hotel is in a great location. It's located in the center of several different famous tourist sites in Rome with a 5-20 minute walk, depending on which one you are going to. It's located on the streets of the shopping district, so a lot of walking traffic as local shoppers and tourists and restaurant goers. Plenty of dining options within a 1-2 minute walk. I enjoyed the traditional style of a room contrary to always staying in very modern hotels. The receptionist was very kind and assistive. We were gifted a free bottle of Prosecco that we really enjoyed. The staff always had muffins, small snacks, sparking water, and juice in the office for guests to enjoy.

Great location. Staff Friendly. House keeping was excellent. We had some road noise at night but that is just a function of being in a convenient location. Plus, you'll be so tired after walking, eating and drinking all day it won't matter. Walked to Coliseum and Vatican no problem. Spanish steps just a couple blocks away. Taxi line and metro also close. Lots of good restaurants within a couple blocks and also one really cool and good one about 100 yards away.

The room was sumptuously decorated, beautiful, and spacious. It was scrupulously clean. The bathroom had perhaps seen better days, as the tiles and shower door were a bit worn, but everything was spotless and had been well cared for. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the front desk management made sure I had my ride to the airport arranged so I could enjoy my stay without concern about getting home and checking out. I was offered suggestions on restaurants where to eat a great meal that wouldn’t be a tourist trap. Breakfast in my room was plentiful and fresh and delivered right on time in the morning. My stay at the Residenza Canova Tandolini was one of my favorite things in Rome. I would definitely stay there again!

The bathroom had seen better days, but it was spotless, and there were plenty of towels, soaps and shampoos. Also, the selection of coffees was delightful and I was able to rise and make my own coffee while I waited for my room delivered breakfast with coffee in bed.

We spent 3 days in Rome. The front desk was nice, but not very helpful. They advertised laundry service and concierge but didn't have any. They have a sister hotel with these services but they are a 5-10 minute walk away.

They didn't clean our room the second day. Not sure why. Wifi was very spotty and make it hard to navigate our day.

Exactly as advertised. Excellent location. Wifi was a little slow, but all basic internet needs were met. Comfy bed. No elevator so be prepared to climb one story of stone steps which for me was not a problem.
Unique hotel layout and beautifully designed. Was nice and quiet even though I had a room facing the main street.
Would definitely consider staying again.

Although calling this a luxury hotel is a bit of a stretch, we rated this as 5 stars for the following reasons: great location a couple of blocks away from two major attraction areas and the metro, very friendly staff, quiet and clean accomadation that was fairly well appointed . Small property with character. Good value for price. One negative note was that our room fridge didn’t work and this was not addressed during our 4 night stay. The weather was hot and ice not available so this was a bit of an issue as we could not keep food or beverages cold. Air conditioning was adequate, for local standards. Recommended.

Perfect location, romantic, and classic Italian

We only stayed for one day as we had a flight early the next day, but the one evening we did have was magical! The bed and pillows were divine, and the charm and Italian sophistication of the room’s décor were lovely. The location is a very close to the Spanish steps and Trevi fountain, so there are lots of crowds and resulting tourist traps nearby, but local great restaurants can be found easily with just a touch of effort. There also appeared to be a myriad of fabulous shops right out the door!

The concierge arranged a taxi to take us to the airport at 6:30, which was very convenient, but made us unable to taste (and thus comment on) the breakfast. Wonderful stay, and we will certainly stay again if we find ourselves in Rome again soon. Grazie mille!

The Perfect Roman Holiday

We truly had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely welcoming, attentive, and available to help in every way that we needed such as making reservations at local hotels. We were given an upgrade to this exceptional hotel room. The decor was out of this world, truly made you feel as though you were staying during the height of the Renaissance. Spacious clean room, nice in-room breakfast, walking distance to Spanish steps and Spagna metro station. Front desk personnel very accommodating. For some reason they had my reservation for one person even though my booking showed it was for 2 people and they gave us an upgraded room for two at the same price I booked it for. It seemed to be a problem on Expedia's side...not sure, but they told us they would contact Expedia and take care of it, which they did. The ONLY downside to these rooms is that there is no main, common sitting area since it is nit a hotel but that did not concern us at all. There is a small sitting area next to the front desk though. Great experience, great deal, thank you Expedia and Canova Tadolini Luxury Rooms and Suites!

Close to the best sights

Matteo is the best. He will go out of his way to make your stay wonderful. He was amazing about helping with getting to all the sights and what taxi to take and which ones to not. Even helped with the train to Florence. He even scheduled my ride to and from the airport. Love the true essence of the Roman feel of the hotel. I will stay there the next time I got to Rome.

The best location in safe region of Rome just in front of all famous shops. Hotel staff is very helpfull and hospital. Reception is 24 hours. Hotel is very comfortable for a week family tour. There are a lot of restaurants and caffes close to the hotel. 24 hours supermarket is in about 150 metres.

The location was good near the Spain steps. the shower door was broken the bathroom.The bathroom was not been clean properly,the water stains were on the sink, tap and everywhere in the bathroom. . the breakfast options had limited items. The receptionist is friendly apparently but does not to answer a question. the breakfast is not complete. the bread is not warm, no cheese, egg,.the coffee is great.

We stayed here few weeks ago. Perfect location, close to Spanish steps, Metro, and everything else. Business area not residential, your room is alongside Tiffany's. Upon entering their grand door you are greeted by a quiet courtyard that's well kept. Hotel staff are very helpful and courteous. Our room is perfect sized and clean. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Location is it's advantage

This is a very nicely located hotel right about 300 metes from the exit of Spagna station. If you arriving into Rome via train, getting to this hotel is very easy. Spanish steps is walking distance and you can explore a lot of places just by getting out of the hotel and walking around the place.

We arrived in the evening and reached the hotel easily. After dumping our luggage we walked around through the night to explore Rome.

Getting out and back to the hotel is easy.

They have rooms in a building on the opposite street which is where we also stayed. Don't expect luxury, it is nice, clean and okay for a short stay.

Great hotel in a beautiful area in Rome

Staying at the Canova Tadolini was a great decision. I was traveling with my 2 teenage children for the first time in Rome. Just after I booked the hotel, the hotel reached out to me regarding transportation from the airport to the hotel. It was a good choice since we had 3 large suitcases and carryons which would have made using the bus or taking the Metro somewhat difficult. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by the staff. While we checked in, our luggage was delivered to our room. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

We were able to check in at 10 am after flying on an overnight flight (that was very helpful as we were exhausted.) Our room had a balcony overlooking a quaint little back street that was made famous in the movie Roman Holiday. Breakfast was delivered to our room every morning.

Staying in Rome Like a Resident

This charming boutique \"hotel\" is a collection of small apartments in a centuries old Roman building with interior courtyards and small gardens. Rooms are reached via an interior (fresh air) corridor within the outer walls. It is located mid-point between the Pizza Spagna (Spanish Steps) and the Piazza del Popolo. It's perfect for coming and going with ease and for walks all over the city to the historic sites. We had the Junior suite which includes a small balcony overlooking the quiet and charming cobblestoned Via Margutta (the other side of the building from the bustling Via del Babuino main entrance). Our suite came with two small bedroom areas, a sitting area and a breakfast table (continental breakfast is delivered to your apartment every morning) plus the balcony. The toilet room was small but modern (shower, no bath). This is a quiet, charming and comfortable place that allows you to experience being a resident of Rome.

Super STRICT hotel

Spainish Stairs is the BEST area to stay in Rome ! This is 1 of the numerous B&B in this area, I pickrd up it because it has a family room with 3 single beds). The housekeeping style is super strict, they do NOT like you move any of \"their\" stuff, for instance, i put some of my own tea bags together with theirs, they seperated them everyday, they put mine aside on the table and arrange theirs in their tray. The breakfast is served in room but they always knock the door 20 mins before our chosen time, the choice is limited, you have to pay extra for some basic stuff (8 euro for ham/cheese) n no fruits available. So i bought some food (mainly some fruit and packed ham) & stored it in mini-bar, I arranged them neatly in it, but when i came back in the evening to my room, i found in huge shock thet the housekeeping took all my foos out and left them just on the table, they all got bad and I had to throw them away, the hotel manager even left a big A4 note to tell me \"mini-bar will get damaged if i put my stuff, so it is for their snacks and beverages only,\". I find this very harsh ! I tried to express my feelings but the guy on duty in the night shift but nobody ever got back to me. I did not bother to mention it again. Anyway You get an impression that this room does not belong to you. (They have electronic kettle in the room for tea making, this is important to us and most Chinese guests)

We felt like we had our own apartment in the centre of the designer district . In between the Spanish steps and piazza del popolo. There were some fantastic restaurants & bars very nearby. Even though the breakfast only consisted of coffee & croissants, we never felt hungry mid- morning , it saw us through till lunch ! ( you can pay a supplement for more if you wish ). Lovely , friendly staff who were very helpful . Loved the silk wallpaper on the walls & the ornate ceiling . Would certainly recommend ! Thank you to all the staff at Residenza canova tadolini !

Some of our party got nice rooms, some got rooms worthy of a motel 6. We refused one of the rooms because even with air conditioning, it was about 80 degrees, were told no others were available, and that we should switch rooms with someone in our group, and have them sleep there.
Though we got another room eventually, it took some work and was not the way we wanted to start a vacation.

The apartments are centrally located in easy walking distance of many visitor attractions, shops and excellent restaurants..

On a nice street and great location

Had a pleasant stay at Canova Tadolini. We then went to Sicily and at the hire car company, they refused to give us a car even though we payed for it. The company is called Sicily by Car. Please get the word out there as this is unacceptable. Although not booked through Expedia, please be aware of this company as these types of events could effect your customers. In other words make sure you do not recommend them as I will or be using the company that recommend them.

Stayed for 3 nights at Canova Tadolini Luxury Rooms & Suites and had a very nice time in Rome. It's a boutique hotel with I think 7-10 rooms. The location of the hotel is perfect just step away from Spanish Steps so I could see most important sights in two days by just walking around so that left me one day for shopping and seeing galleries which was fantastic. The staff are very nice and friendly with big smile from the minute you say Ciao to the minute you leave. Breakfast is served in the room. The only thing that could improve is dropping off your breakfast menu choices for next day at the reception. Even though it's just across the road. Why not just complete the form and leave it in the room so can be collected by staff who clean the room just a suggestion. Also the bed could be more comfortable by updating the mattress after all it's expected from a 4 star hotel. I loved the place and staff and would return again and recommend the place.

Very Disappointed!

We actually stayed in this hotel 2 years ago. We went back to Italy this year. As a repeat guest, you would think that we would have been treated better. The room was much smaller than our first stay. Our first stay, we had a room overlooking Via Del Babuino. We were placed in a room that overlooked a children's playground. Very, very disappointing. They indicate a \"full breakfast\" is included. This is NOT true. What you receive, as part of your hotel rate, is coffee or tea, some form of bread, i.e., toast, croissant or cereal. If you want juice, eggs, etc., it is an additional fee. Very deceptive! Part of our stay in Italy included Sorrento. We stayed at the same place as we did 2 years ago, Grand Hotel La Pace, which is a 5 star hotel. When we showed the owners of Canova the brochure, we were treated very poorly for the remainder of our stay. The truth is, we paid $170 per night to the Canova Tadolini and only $76 per night at the Grand Hotel La Pace. What a difference. We will NEVER visit this hotel again.

Excellent hotel - great location, friendly staff

We were so pleased to stay at this hotel. It is a great location, had good sized comfortable rooms and extremely friendly staff. The hotel is just a few minutes from Spanish Steps and we could walk to everywhere that we wanted in Rome. There are cafes and restaurants just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel.

They are in the process of changing the street to a pedestrian zone which makes it an even more attractive location.

Breakfast was served in our room each day and the staff were happy to accommodate our requests. Delicious specialty coffees each morning.

We'll definitely stay here again.

Comfortable for a family; clean

Traveling as a family of four, we had a room with a double bed and two twin beds (in an adjoining room). It was comfortable and clean. The staff were also very helpful to us as we were arranging transportation, etc. And the location was fairly close to many sites and to some nice shopping/dining areas.
The only surprise was that we needed to pay the city tax on the room in cash, which we did not know beforehand and which made our checkout experience a bit frustrating.

Very helpful staff

We booked this hotel because the reviews all said that the staff was helpful and the location great. Both were definitely true. Every staff person encountered was extremely helpful going out of their way to make our four nights in Rome special including a number of great restaurant recommendations including two that were definitely more local than tourist. The rooms were on one or two floors of a residential building which we have encountered before and were of a reasonable size and well maintained. The location between the Spanish steps and the Piazza del Populo and a block from the Via Corso was excellent for evening strolls and access to transportation. The only negative for us was breakfast in our rooms. While promptly served it required extra effort to get a second cup of coffee although my kids loved being able to eat in their pajama in a hotel. All in all it was a great experience.

After some trouble finding the hotel (the taxi dropped us off at the wrong place), we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms (huge bathroom by Rome standards) and the very friendly staff.

Best place to stay in Rome !!

Amazing accommodation in the heart of Rome !!
We spent the first two nights of our honeymoon here. We were made to feel so welcome by the very helpful staff. Who were quick to offer us maps and advice on what to see and how to get around and places to eat.
The hotel room was a perfect size and very clean. And close to everything in Rome, amazing shopping right on your doorstep!!
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting something lovely and affordable in the heart of Rome.
10/10 from us !! And a cute little Italian breakfast delivered to your door every morning ... Love it!
