Booked this hotel on the understanding that it provides airport shuttle service. Only found out at check in that the shuttle bus is not 24-hour service, which was no use to me. Had to spend extra money on taxi fares. There aren’t much going on around the hotel. We walked approximately 2 kilometres and found a couple of eating places. Otherwise it is a clean and comfortable hotel. Suitable for stopover stays.

The service in the hotel is 5 star from breakfast to airport shuttle, from front desk flxibility to room service. The staffs there are all wonderful. I would recommend this hotel for sure.

There is a small store and a good restaurant inside. You will need to take a taxi to the nearest restaurant or shopping. If you want to use the free shuttle to the airport you need to call the motel and arrange it 24 hours in advance.

30 min from airport. Room was decent. A bit old but big enough and looked good when we walked in. Used this as a layover hotel and being a \"4 star\" hotel one would assume the aircon would work. We enjoyed a room temp of 27 degrees and were offered an extra fan. Thankfully we were so tired we got some sleep anyway. Staff were nice and room was decent for price but aircon was horrendous.

Service was not as good as I expected. The information desk personnel tried to help me by calling the hotel for a shuttle ride and it took a while to get in touch with someone at the hotel. I waited more than an hour for the shuttle and arrived at the hotel very late. I was already very tired. I picked this particular hotel because my family had a good stay there a few years ago but it looks like their service got bad.

Surprisingly, the hot water supply was not good. When I was having a shower, the hot water turned warm (sometimes cold) and then back to hot and then warm again. The supply was not stable.

Overall it's a Holiday Inn. You'll get about what you'd expect. Beware of only very sporadic free shuttle service to the airport. They did, however, cover my taxi fair, after I refused their suggestion of waiting at the airport 3.5 HOURS for shuttle pickup. Not much in the local area, but also only a 5 minute walk from a subway station.

So, so, but good for English only speakers

We stayed at the Holiday Inn during an overnight layover in Beijing. We weren't there for very long, so my perspective is limited. First things, the shuttle from the airport was free and perfectly on time. We waited where they told me to be and they picked us up exactly on time. It was very easy and efficient. Check-in was also very easy. The lady working the desk had good English and was very friendly. It was very quick and easy. I was traveling with friends and we had 3 rooms. The beds were normal Chinese hard beds. I've stayed in several Holiday Inns around the country and normally they have very nice soft beds...not this one. One of our rooms was very cold and never warmed up more than 17 degrees Celsius. One of our rooms was very hot and never cooled below 28 degrees Celsius. The last room was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was quite large and had plenty of Chinese and Western options including waffles and an omelet bar.

Overall, it was fine. I felt like I paid more for a bigger Western chain and got the same quality as a mediocre Chinese hotel. But if you only speak English, you'll be glad you stayed here.

Staff qebt above and beyond to help us out. The room was way better than the pictures. The room had complimentary waters and ab abundance of toiletries. And the breakfast was an all you can eat buffet, probably my favorite part everything was fresh and tasted amazing. This hotel also offers free transportation to & from the airport!

The rooms are clean and they have different firmness of pillows which I like. The breakfast buffet is adequate. For most of my stay half the satellite channels didn't work. Free internet was good. For an international hotel they need more staff competent in English.

The bed as all hotel beds in China are harder than mattresses in the Western context, which is because the majority of customers are from mainland China and prefer harder beds. It is actually very comfortable once you get used to it and good for your spine. :)

Great hotel, clean fairly close to the airport. Shuttle bus service needs improvement stops at 10 am and restarts at 1830pm. Night shift shuttle driver is not for the faint of heart very aggressive driving and not helpful or curteous to passengers.

We arrived here on American Thanksgiving Day. There was a plate of fruit in our room with a personal note addressed to us. Also excellent shuttle service from the airport. Most of the staff spoke English. The breakfast buffet was great. The room was very nice. Good value for the price. This was our third trip to China so we understand a little better how to do and what to expect. We would definitely stay here again.

Very good overnight stay near the airport

We made a last-minute booking because our next-day flight got moved earlier. The hotel is near the airport and obviously isn't close to the city. But it was very clean, modern looking, and spacious. I thought the breakfast spread was amazing for its sheer size - fresh omelet and Chinese pancakes and noodles made to order, plenty of Chinese and Western hot dishes, pastries, fresh fruits, as well as other kinds like cereal, congee, dim sum dishes, etc. There is a free airport shuttle service, though it is not very frequent (every 1 or 2 hours) and need to be reserved ahead of time. But still, for an overnight stay near the airport, this is very pleasant and comfortable.

Our original reservations for two rooms could not be found through a third party website, so I booked again through Expedia when we got there because they were asking high prices at the desk. Holiday inn staff charged cny800 deposit because they couldn't see the Expedia reservation either. They said it would be refunded the next day. Now its a day later and I see that charge of $125 USD plus an additional $66 USD that I didn't even approve! What a hassle to deal with when I finally get home tomorrow with jet lag. We also hoped for softer beds but they were the typical firm Chinese mattresses. All else about the hotel was good and clean, including free airport shuttle. Oddly all the other small Chinese hotels booked on Expedia went smoothly, yet the big Holiday inn chain couldn't get it right on the payment.

Only comment is that the hotel should put it's Chinese name on the website, so the taxi driver and bus or shuttle station guide knows which hotel is.

Holiday inn near airport

You can never go wrong with a holiday inn. The bath towels and robe were particularly fluffy. If you have an overnight wait would definitely recommend. If staying in Beijing for a few days, this hotel might be a little out of the way for sightseeing in the city Center.

It’s a nice hotel but it’s isolated and difficult to find. Not much around the hotel at all. And it’s difficult to find. Call the hotel and have the driver talk to the staff. Hotel contained a small convience store, bar/coffee shop and Chinese restaurant. Didn’t see any restaurants nearby. Buffet breakfast was ok, mostly Chinese dishes but plenty of choices.

The hotel was noisy and there were people smoking in the non smoking floor. Staff were helpful but the hotel rooms are run down and needs a repair. The shuttle bus pick up at the airport does not really work as it doesn’t have a designated area and parks where is can so it was impossible to find. Shuttle bus back the the airport was a good service although only goes every 2 hrs.

Find another hotel if are English speaking

Most of the staff here barely speak or understand English. The TV in the room has no other options (ie Netflix, On Demand, etc) other than Chinese language channels. The beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was very good but closes promptly at 9:30am. The surrounding area is rough & dirty. The AC wouldn't work right even after a maintenance woman came in to fix it. Had to open the window for some air otherwise the heat would come on.

New, clean, nice Holiday Inn in Beijing, China

Very new and nice hotel to stay if you judge it from the standards of Holiday Inn in a country other than USA. Very friendly staff whose English is not their first, native language. Our luggage and bags were sent right to the door of our room on the 9th floor but, when we wanted to give tips as a way of Thank You, the staff member did not accept the tips and told us this is nothing but part of their job. When we came to dinner on the 2nd floor the same night we arrived, we made our order instantly and were treated with most delicious, authentic Chinese food for four people of us! It is not exaggerating to say that nowhere in the USA can you find a Chinese restaurant that could offer more delicious and authentic Chinese food than this Holiday Inn restaurant.

整体都需要改善，服务人员显然是没受到太多培训就上岗，业务不熟练，前台只有一个女孩子看起来熟练些，态度却不十分友善！房间还可以，卫生间太差，很旧不干净，下水道不畅通，洗了澡以后积水严重已经漫过脚面，非常恶心，出来后还要再洗一遍脚！如果以上条件没有改变的话，自己不会再用，也不会推荐给任何人！

Worst location. There's NOTHING nearby. Nor there is anything at the hotel. I can't even begin to describe my horror at the hotel, including food poisoning from their restaurant. I've never been so sick!
I feel like I was misguided by Expedia and am very disappointed.
The only thing good about the hotel was the manager who tried hard to make things right but couldn't make the horrible stay any better.

Location is the reason

The hotel is basic, limited amenities. There is only one restaurant that offers Chinese food and waitresses speak very little English. Some areas are still under construction. We stayed one night to catch an early 8 AM flight out of Beijing the next door so we didn't mind. The room was clean. The best thing about the hotel is the distance to the airport. Not much of a traffic so you won't miss your flight. They advertised they have free shuttle, however it only runs every other hour in the morning. So have the front desk call you a cab ( which arrived within 2 mins) and give yourself 25 mins for taxi time to be safe. You will need to have 60RMB with you as the taxi only takes cash

It is a good transit hotel nearby the airport. Due to other Holiday Inn in Beijing Airport Zone, it is very important to add your hotel name and address in Chinese Character in the hotel website in order to inform the taxi driver to locate your hotel. As usual, same with other hotel, we need to reserve the shuttle bus in advance, however, it is inexpensive taxi fare from Hotel to Beijing Airport if the taxi driver is well informed. Price should be maintained by the hotel management to be a good price hotel within Shinyu district. Wifi is good/strong in the room as well as in the hotel lobby. Staff is very welcome and cooperative. I will stay again to this hotel as I have kept hotel key room with hotel name and address in Chinese Character.

Not that close to the airport. Website said free shuttle available, but no longer offered for a while. The room was really cold, water flow is slow and not hot, impossible to take shower.
Location is hard for taxi to locate from the city center.
