Best Western Buriram is a clean, basic amenities property. It served its purpose well for a one night stay prior to air travel. The staff were all very helpful and friendly!! The neighborhood is a little tricky to navigate if you’re not familiar with the area, but we felt safe regardless.

I got this hotel because of the airline pickup. The hotel is nice. Great restaurant and overall service. The only complaint I have is about the air conditioner being noisy and not working well. I wasn’t there long enough to complain about it.

Still good value but wifi very bad

I have stayed here many times previously and since it first opened a few years ago. There are only a few signs of age. The breakfast buffet is excellent value for the price of the stay. The rooms are spacious enough. The staff are all friendly and helpful.
My major complaint is the wifi. I stayed in room 2205 and it kept dropping out. Also it was very slow. I spent much of my 2 week solo stay needing wifi so it was a big problem for me. The best way round it was to sit in the restaurant all day where the wifi was 80%-90%. They need to spend a bit of money on in-room routers or alternatively upgrade to more powerful routers in the corridors. Room 2205 was in middle of the two routers in the corridor hence the problem.

Had a great stay and had no problem with hotel. The room rate was good as was the drinks and the food. The staff were alternative and pleasant and provided a great service. The hotel is on a busy main road but it wasn't too bad for traffic noise which I thought it might have been. It has a small but functioal pool which was great for the daughter and had seating either inside or outside by the pool. Would definitely stay again.

Upon check in I walked into the room with my wife. All was fine. Then I went into the bathroom and noticed what looked like to be a used dirty drinking glass in there. We weren't sure. Then I picked up the second \"clean\" drinking glass and a liquid dripped down the side of the inside and it smelled disgusting like beer. The cleaning lady didn't put clean drinking glasses there. I went to reception with the glasses and they seemed surprised and let me change rooms...Everything else about the hotel is fine but this is the second time I have stayed here and had housekeeping issues. Good food and staff in the restaurant.

3rd time we’ve stayed at BW Buriram. Everything is fine, rooms clean, staff really helpful.
Nice pool for an inner city hotel.
The only thing that was annoying compared to our previous stays is that the Wi-fi is now very slow.

Getting old now

Always stay in this hotel when visiting Buriram, Been staying for about 5 years since first opened. But now it is going downhill. The rooms are looking shabby especially the shower rooms (need steam cleaning). Internet unobtainable in room 1305 so I asked to move and was given room 1302. Persistant router problem was the cause, one working and one not working along the corridor. Wifi no good in restaurant. Staff polite but do not seem to have any management. Ran out of red wine (5 litre box Mont Clair available in Tesco Lotus) and maybe because I saw staff give last box to friend without money changing hands the night before. White towels and torn bed linen are probably the originals from when the hotel first opened it's doors
Still the price is very reasonable, the buffet breakfast is one of the best value that I have eaten, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Also only a 10 minute walk from the bus station which saves getting 'ripped off' by the no meter taxi meter cabs !!
All in all....I will probably stay again next time.....but it may also be my last.

Not what it used to be

We stay here every year but this year we noticed the rooms were showing there age for example the two arm chairs were not clean. The WiFi was up and down sometimes it worked peak hours it struggled coupled with a log in that you end up doing many times as it timed out, the breakfast used to be superior now it’s sverage with poor quality bacon beans potatoes and tomatoes all on alternative days never together. There are now a large number of hotels in Buriram so time for a change.

Central, good facilities, good parking, good breakfast.

I like all ;-) and since I complained about the missing English NEWS and MOVIE Channel in the last years, they have now both, even HBO. Well.

Difgicult to find hotel as no signage direcly visibke from main road. Decor a bit odd! Reception service was quick and simple, breakfast was good with a big selection for a small hotel. Room was clean with good bathroom but no english channels on tv which did not bother us but may others. Pool was pretty small the plastic loungers could have done with some padding.

This is a new hotel so its very clean.
The buffet breakfast was lovely hot and freshly cooked.
The only downside I found was the mattress was a bit hard.
The swimming pool small and situated between buildings so no sunbathing.

Nice modern hotel with a good pool, good breakfast

This was a 3 day stay in Buriram, a small market town. The hotel is on the southern side. A small area of bars is located centrally (around the Bamboo Bar). The other bars here are quite lively. Hotel provides a minibus for a small charge. A second bar (Paddys Bar) is located on the east side of town, walking distance from Bamboo Bar. A quieter bar. There is a small complex of bars and restaurants approx 400m from the hotel, live music, sports screens, food etc. The bars etc here are Thai orientated (obviously) but you will have a good night, I really enjoyed this area. The Pnom Rung ancient temple is about 45 minutes drive, worth a visit.

Very nice hotel with friendly helpful staff. All can understand English especially if you speak slowly. Be aware, Buriram does not have the proliferation of taxis and motor cycle taxis common to Bangkok, so getting around for a foreigner can be difficult.

Very good hotel in centre of town

We booked a room on Expedia well in advance and requested the top floor over the restaurant and facing the pool, as this would give us morning sun and privacy. We know the hotel having stayed there before. As is usual with Expedia bookings we are sure our request was not read or it was ignored. By negotiation however we achieved a corner room near the same area and it was quiet and not facing the hot afternoon sun. We were lucky as Expedia booking requests, based on many bookings we've had in the past few years, are either not read by the hotel or are ignored. Only a few times has hotel staff replied to us when they could not met our request so we could arrange a suitable alternative in advance.

Stayed here 3 times and my second review.
Modern compact hotel built on a small plot.

Without doubt the best breakfast I have experienced in maybe 150 Thai hotels during 20 years.

Disappointed that smoking is still allowed on the terrace with filthy smoke entering the restaurant and only 2 metres from the egg station. I believe the manager smokes so no chance of them at least moving 2 tables away from other guests. Strange attitude as in reception it is advertised in as a no-smoking hotel.

That said, we will definitely stay here again when in Buriram..

the hotel is not easy to find even I used the google map. when I arrived the hotel it was shower raining and full parking space the hotel staff came and point me to other parking lot after point for me he turned back to the hotel and he was not even help to carry our luagage or ask do I need help. what 's the service mind of that guy? when i checked i had a bit compained about the guy to the fornt desk staff.she had not even said sorry she just ignor the compaining. Then i just understand that it is only 3 star hotel so why the staff can not receive the trainning how to take care of their customer.

A good choice for Buriram visit

I chose this hotel because it had a swimming pool for my grand-daughter to use. Hotel is on the main road well signposted and easy to find. Good parking facilities. Efficient checkin. (and out).Good sized rooms with modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. In room safe provided plus tea and coffee making needs.French themed dining room and one of the best breakfasts I have had in Thailand. Eggs cooked to order and crisp hot bacon from an extensive buffet. Okay------I'd better find SOMETHING to gripe about------- we had to carry our own bags up to our rooms--------but there was a lift so it wasn't a problem. If I go to Buriram again I will definitely stay at Best Western Royal.

Look , this is not a problem with this hotel alone but why oh why can't hotels in Thailand provide HOT WATER . Is it a $ problem ? I will pay . Is it an engineering problem ? It can't be that hard . And to all those sad apologists who claim you don't need hot water to get clean in Thailand...you're wrong .

Great hotel with well trained and friendly staff

All in all I have spend almost three weeks at the Best Western in Buriram and can consider myself almost as an expert. In short, I couldn't fault the place, the location close to the local transport Pink bus, the service was absolutely first class, as if all members of staff knew exactly what their responsibility was, while being professional and friendly at all times. The breakfast was consistently good, with a great of choice from local Thai dishes to American breakfast or European style menus so everyone could satisfy their taste. If I ever come back to Buriram I would definitely stay in Best Western and would highly recommend it to other travellers.

Great and comfortable hotel for a stay in Buriram

I could definitely recommend this hotel as it is located in a quiet area, but still in a walking distance to the town centre. Our room was of a good size, clean and very comfortable. There is a pool for the guests to use but that wasn't something that I was interested in doing anyway. The staff is very helpfull and polite, and the buffet breakfast offers a great choice of food. I feel that I need to add that on one occasion where I needed to visit a local hospital and was late for the breakfast, the staff offered me and my husband a great welcome and served us especially though they had finished their shifts already. Highly recommended!

nice but be prepared to be ripped off

The hotel was modern, new and restaraunt was good and so was the food. Staff were not very friendly but maybe they werechaving a bad week. I was going to give rave reviews for this place but being charged $100 on checking out for blood stains on the sheets (i had a nose bleed in the night) was a shock. I have been all over the world and NEVER been charged for anything like this. So, if you go and your wife gets her period or you get a nose bleed etc...they will rip you off.... i will give as much bad publiscity for best western.

Reviewed this hotel before, it offers really good value for money but minor problems continue to be an irritation. Internet needs continual signing in to and is slow , problems in the restaurant when I sent a steak back because it was underdone, came back with same vegetables on it and now cold!
The attention to detail is s problem.
Having said that we took our father in law to stay who is in a wheelchair and the hotel is fully accessible for wheelchairs.

Stayed here for 2 nights for Xmas while travelling in the area.Treated ourselves to the best room which was large and comfortable and we had no complaints whatsoever, even internet speed was good. The restaurant and poolside bar were great with reasonable prices and friendly service. Good breakfast and fantastic value Christmas dinner. Will definitely be staying here again.

Best value for money ever spent on any hotel.

We usually stay clear of Best Western hotels but decided to give this one a try as it was the only one available on e-bookers and the rate was very excellent. I don't think this hotel is typical of Best Western or 3 star hotels and we were very pleasantly surprised. The staff really were very warm and friendly in their welcome. Our only criticism of the room was that it was on the small side but otherwise, it was spotless, well appointed and a balcony overlooking the pool and restaurant. The bed was very comfortable and bed linen and towels was of a high standard - the mark of a good hotel in my opinion! Tea/coffee making facilities available in the room as two bottles of complimentary water in the fridge.
Breakfast buffet was excellent as was the service, yet again. Eggs cooked to order and an extensive range of Asian and western food with limitless coffee and tea. There was an evening BBQ buffet on offer for 200 Baht which we didn't try but looked very good value for money. Car parking was plentiful.
This is a modern, colourful, well designed hotel recently opened. I hope it maintains its high standards in the future and I would certainly stay again and recommend it to others.

Le personnel est comme toujours très sympathique. En revanche, l'hôtel, plutôt bien situé, n'est pas très bien entretenu, notamment les parties communes. La climatisation était très bruyante dans ma chambre, mais comme j'entendais aussi celle de la chambre voisine... La salle de bain était très exigu, et il y avait une fuite sous l'évier... Drôle de Best Western...
