Excellent apartment with a beautiful view. The pool looked really beautiful but it was a bit too cold for me in October. The pool area is lovely for a cocktail. The apartment was large, clean and well furnished. It's a bit far from the town, a car is required and be careful as the road around is not in the best condition, drive slowly and carefully.

Idyllic hotel for family holiday.

This hotel was amazing. The staff couldn’t do enough to help out, nothing was too much. The value for money is unbelievable. It’s a beautiful setting and a great point to use for exploring the island. The town of Balestrate was also a great base with many good restaurants and shops and friendly people.

It could be our second home

We had a fabulous time at the Residence Villaggio Petruso. The hotel is located on the hill with magnificent view and away from any trafic. The one bedroom apartment we stayed has separate access so no one is hanging around your door. The doors and windows are sound proof as you cannot hear outside noise. The food is delicious and there is a great choice for anyone. The service provided by staff is exceptional. Genuinely polite staff who is happy to help you with anything e.g. despite the fact we took charges and plugs to charge our phones, our plugs didn’t fit the sockets installed in the room, the lady from the reception let us use hers without extra charge for the whole stay. The waitress Lorena was very helpful in giving us insight to local lifestyle and advice on places to see. She even taught us a few phrases in Italian.

Spacious flat, quite clean, nice view from the terrace.

Air conditioning in all rooms, albeit I found it far too noisy to sleep with.

lovely pool with amazing views of the bay and sunset.

The resort is quite high up, and you will need a rental car but on the positive, the location grants a constant fresh breeze from the sea. Dining outside is just pleasant without the stickiness and exceeds heat.

The restaurant has prices identical to what you would pay in Balestrate.
Dishes are mainly based on fish, with delicious local cuisine.
For some reason we found that second courses were more generous portions than mains... The pasta dishes were adequate but could have done with a little more.

The biggest bug bear is the internet.
Inexplicably limited to 5 hours per day (?) and generally really slow and unreliable.
You might have to wait to post your photos once you're back, and watching the news/YouTube is a painful experience.

Very nice apartments near Balestrate

These are brand new, very nice and very well equipped apartments just outside Balestrate. Very comfortable apartments with fully equipped kitchens. The residence includes a swimming pool, and many of the apartments have a great view of the sea.
Ideal for families or small groups, to have a relaxing place near Palermo, near the sea and several national parks.
The owners were VERY helpful and welcoming, and made every effort to make my stay pleasant.

Lovely family friendly hotel

We had a fantastic week at Villagio Petruso. The apartment was modern, clean and comfortable. The pool area is great with lovely views and a play area for children. The staff were wonderful and accommodated every request for help or information. It provides a good location for sightseeing but you do require a car to get to Balestrate or the nearest beach. Would highly recommend it.

A group of 21 family members stayed here with 4 days of overlap. It was an amazing orchestration of rooms and beds. The facilities were extremely clean and accommodating to our needs. The restaurant for dinner facilities (opens at 7:30 pm) were nice on the veranda viewing the sunset. Food was delicious and the best I'd had during my entire 6 day stay. The connolo was to die for! Daytime cafe espresso was good but only had limited food service.

The staff were pleasent and the appartment was very nice. BUT there were no amenities on site and the resort is a distance away from the nearest town. There is no public transport and a trip to Mondello (which is 20 minuets outside of Palermo) cost us €80 in a taxi one way. We were not told that it was absolutely necessary to rent a car to do every day activities so in the end we had to leave. Also for anyone renting cars in Italy be very careful as the road rules are ignored with blatant disregard and can be a very dangerous

Villaggio Petruso it is a great place for a relaxing time, Family vacation and group of friends!
The Villaggio it is locate up the hill of the small town of Balestrate and the view from here it is stunning! We enjoyed the stay very much and loved be in the pool are. Great rooms/ apartment with all the comfort, new ,clean and spacious. We stayed in the 2 Bedroom apartment that also had a small kitchenette well-equipped with all necessary utensils. The outdoor patio in our apartment was great for our relaxing time with the small lounge area and a BBQ grill as well.
Wonderful staff, they are really great and very friendly. We had a great time at the Villaggio Petruso and especially enjoyed the amazing sunset!!! Meraviglioso!!!!
The restaurant in the Villaggio offers the typical Sicilian dishes but with an excellent creation and unique taste, the chef was entertained us with his funny stories and explained each dishes create by him using the great quality of products as the fresh fishes and vegetable that Sicily offers.
Overall the Village Petruso offer a great stay and it is close by the small town of Balestrate that offer great beach and entertainment at night.

The place was hard to find, not enough good signs. It should not be advertised as overnight facility for tourists.

The way to the hotel is tricky and complicated. No sea view from the room as promised and we received a side room near reception. The room is clean, but NO hot water and bed is stiff as a rock. Pool looks good in the pictures but in fact is small and dirty. Not recommended

Spacious, comfortable apartment at a budget price

We decided on Sicily for our honeymoon, and booked Villaggio Petruso because of its budget price and also on the basis of reviews here on Expedia as well as other sites. We were not disappointed! We had a one-bedroom apartment which was extremely spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen area had a microwave and four-ring gas hob as well as a full-sized fridge-freezer, and was adequately equipped with enough crockery, cutlery etc for two people. There was a bottle of wine, mineral water and soft drinks in the fridge on our arrival which was very welcome. The bathroom was very large, with a walk-in shower, and the bedroom was also big with plenty of wardrobe and storage space as well as air conditioning. We had our own covered terrace area with a table and four seats. The complex has a large and very pleasant pool area with loungers, seats and tables, and a licensed café which doubles as a restaurant in the evenings - prices are reasonable. The staff were uniformly excellent and couldn't have been more helpful in sorting out various problems, assisting with airport transfers, car hire etc. A car is essential here as the complex, although not far from the town of Balestrate, is remote and at the end of a steep, unlit, narrow lane which would make walking back from town uncomfortable (particularly at night). There is no shop on site although bakers and fruit/veg vans do call every morning.

Great facilities, very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, amazing pool with a view over the sea, definitely worth eating dinner at the hotel restaurant as it was fresh and high standard, 20 minutes walking distance to the town but cheap taxi services available, no supermarket nearby but fruit and bread can be purchased daily. All in all we had such a great time and would definitely come back.

We booked a 2-bedroom apartment and were given a lovely, quiet corner plot overlooking the sea. Peaceful Holiday

Our accomodation was clean and tidy, basic and a little worn. The staff friendly and very courteous. The pool area was clean.
Although courtesy transport is available I consider a car to be a must if you want to enjoy the area fully. The beach is a trek away and the local town Balestrate is also a 30 minute walk. Residence Villaggio Petruso location was difficult to find, however once we reached Balestrate and rang the hotel a member of staff did come to town and guide us to the Residence. The upside was a peaceful location in the hillside with views of the sea and great for sunset photo's. Restaurants in Balestrate were both good quality and value for money, and particularly good if you enjoy seafood!
We enjoyed our stay as a short break - A peaceful holiday resort if you want to wind down!

Hard to Find

This place is very hidden, a super narrow and in bad shape street leads you to this quiet but nice hotel. The lady who checked us into the hotel was super nice and helpful, she gave us recommendations on several restaurants around the area. The pool looked nice and it seems like the hotel has the potential to be lots of fun during high season. To get out to the main street is quite a task as you cannot return the way you came in. Instead one has to drive through another narrow street without any signs to direct you to the main streets.
This place is relatively close to the beach, we saw a bunch of the guests walking in from the beach.
The WiFi is only available in the lobby.
The place was very nice and very clean. We felt safe since the whole place is gated and there is a guard at the entrance who keeps an eye on who comes in and out of the hotel.

La camera era nuova, molto pulita e sorprendentemente spaziosa, nonostante ci fosse un terzo letto aggiuntivo. Unica piccola nota: il terzo letto non è stato molto comodo, sia per la rete un po’ rumorosa che per il materasso non all’altezza del resto.

Per il resto, tutto eccellente: dalla cortesia del personale alla reception fino al servizio al bar.
Bellissima la quiete della terrazza panoramica (imperdibile il tramonto!) e davvero gradevole anche la piscina.

La Spa merita una menzione speciale: pulitissima, ben organizzata e con personale estremamente professionale. Un ringraziamento particolare a Nicola, per la sua preparazione, gentilezza e bravura: davvero top!

Le meilleur hôtel de Balestrate

Super hôtel, des appartements situés idéalement autour de la piscine, proches de la réception et du restaurant. La plage est à environ 10-15 minutes à pied. La voiture est restée pratiquement au parking pendant tout notre séjour, sauf pour faire de belles visites. Le bar proche de la piscine est ouvert toute la journée, le restaurant uniquement le soir. Un billard, un babyfoot et un tennis de table sont à disposition gratuitement. Le nettoyage des chambres est fait tout les deux jours. Bref, ne pas hésiter à passer quelques jours de repos dans cet hôtel. La ville de Balestrate est proche et très typique de la Sicile. Le personnel est très arrangeant en cas de besoin.

Bellissimo soggiorno di 10 giorni in questa struttura. Inerpicata sulla collina, si raggiunge comunque abbastanza facilmente nonostante la viabilità in Sicilia non sia il massimo. Ci sono due parcheggi riservati ai clienti, comodissimi per chi noleggia l'auto in aeroporto che dista circa 30 minuti da qui. Per il resto abbiamo trovato professionalità, disponibilità, cortesia, pulizia, attenzione per l'ambiente. Essendo isolata, la struttura offre relax assoluto, di sera in camera senti solo i grilli in giardino, nessun rumore, pace assoluta. La posizione
è strategica perché permette di spostarsi verso Palermo o verso Trapani in tempi relativamente brevi. Piscina bellissima e tenuta bene con vista mozzafiato sul mare, spiaggia a poche centinaia di metri per che non volesse spostarsi troppo, personale super disponibile per qualunque esigenza. Un grazie particolare al personale del risto-bar della piscina: bravissimo lo chef che ci ha preparato piatti buonissimi del menù o anche semplicemente un'insalatona fuori-menù su nostra richiesta, Alessandra che ci ha servito al tavolo dandoci preziosi consigli e facendoci sentire un po' a casa. Molto professionale anche il personale della reception al quale potrete chiedere qualunque cosa, saranno sempre in grado di aiutarti. Insomma, bilancio veramente positivo, se tornerò in questa zona della Sicilia prenoterò sicuramente di nuovo qui e consiglierò con piacere il Petruso Resort ad amici e conoscenti!

La vue est incroyable, les hébergements sont indépendants et propre.
Lors du check in les explications ont été plus que succinctes avec aucune indication des « activités » mises à disposition,
Il faut semble-t-il réserver pour avoir une table pour le petit déjeuner buffet, le buffet n’est pas très fourni et se vide très vite.
Il est regrettable qu’il y ait des traitements différents, nous avons déjeuné au bar de la piscine, nous avons eu de simples gobelets en plastique jetable alors que la table d’à côté a eu des verre en verre avec glaçons et set de table (je précise que la carte étant peu fournie nous avons mangé la même chose…)
Nos chambres n’avaient pas de fenêtre et la climatisation refroidissait très peu.

Positiv:
Aufgrund der geringen Auslastung des Villaggios wegen der Corona-Pandemie, bekamen wir ein Upgrade auf eine Familiensuite. Großes, sauberes Apartment mit reichlich Platz, Klimaanlage und Fernseher in jedem Zimmer. Einziges Apartment im Villaggio mit Zugang zu einer eigenen riesigen Dachterasse mit Meerblick (zusätzlich zur Terrasse).

Negativ:
Zufahrtsstraße zum Hotel ist sehr eng und in schlechtem Zustand, eine direkte Abfahrt von der Schnellstraße gibt es leider nicht.
Der Fußweg zum Meer führt durch einen kleinen Park, der nicht durchgängig geöffnet hat - die Öffnungszeiten waren für uns nicht ersichtlich. Grundsätzlich sehr schöner, flach abfallender Sandstrand - leider jedoch viel Müll am Strand, was vermutlich an der Nebensaison und Corona-Situation liegt.
Im Apartment selbst sind einige Reparaturen erforderlich: Handtuchhalter fällt fast von der Wand, Ummantelung des Duschschlauchs defekt, nur eine Sonnenliege auf der Terrasse und diese war leider auch defekt.

La struttura si trova nei pressi di Balestrate, posizione comoda se si ha un’auto.

Difficile à trouver...attention.

- Schöne, saubere und große Zimmer, allerdings sehr hellhörig
- Ausstattung der Appartements hätte besser sein können, es fehlten Kleinigkeiten
- Liegen am Pool sind durchgelegen und unbequem
- Ohne Mietwagen wäre man aufgeschmissen, da die Unterkunft weit oben am Berg liegt
- Mitarbeiter hätten freundlicher sein können

La struttura si è presentata molto gradevole, ben situata e molto vicino al mare e al paese. Note negative da migliorare sono 3: mancanza di ombrelloni nella zona piscina per ripararsi dal sole, poca scelta culinaria del servizio bar soprattutto a colazione, mancato servizio ristorante a pranzo.

Die Häuser sahen von draußen recht hübsch aus. Von innen waren sie ok. Es gab viel Feuchtigkeit.
Das nächste mal werden wir aber nicht nochmal da buchen.

Bon établissement ou nous avons séjour pour une semaine dans l'un des appartement. La piscine est agréable au retour des visites le soir.
Le personnel est serviable et souriant avec quelques mots de français très appréciable.

Soggiorno ideale in posizione strategica

Residence tranquillo, ben tenuto. Staff cordiale e professionale. Camera graziosa e pulita con annesso patio dedicato. Bella la piscina. Spiaggia raggiungibile anche a piedi. Posizione strategica per visitare la sicilia occidentale. Incantevole il panorama sul Golfo che si ammira dalla sala pranzo con tramonti suggestivi.
Cene memorabili per qualità ed abbondanza (pesce e non solo).

Ligger helt off, mitt i ingen stans på ett dåligt sätt. Måste ta bil överallt och riktigt dåliga vägar. Dyr och dålig frukost men rummen va fräscha och restaurangen serverade god middag.
