We got there and found out that the beach has been closed for restoration during our entire stay. This is a very isolated hotel and there is not much to do around so my family was counting on having lots of beach time. The hotel should have emailed guests and informed us. Before we took the 2 hour uber ride from Naha airport. After the first night we asked if we could check out early and move to a different resort or back to Naha for the remaining of our trip. The hotel manager was extremely rude and not helpful at all. Don’t waste your valuable vacation days at this hotel.

The hotel is very clean and has amazing views. We stayed in a suite on the club wing because it comes with extra perks. When we went to the infinity pool, we were told to use a different pool because the one we were trying to use is for club guests. Then they went on to give us directions on how to leave and get to the other pool. That was before asking us our room number to verify if we could use it.
Our first night we ate at the yakiniku restaurant inside the hotel. After finding hair in our food, we told the server and got an apology. Upon paying for the meal, they offered us 5 or 10 percent off for the issue. How generous! 😂 The next night we went to a different restaurant in the hotel, not by choice but because all the others were closed. We were told it was booked solid with reservations. Seems like if they were booked, the other restaurants would have remained open to facilitate the guests.
When you book a premium room, breakfast is included for free, however we were told at checkout we owed additional money because one of our kids is 4 years old. I found that odd since breakfast is free. They also charge by the number of people staying in your room which makes sense if they provide meals. In our case, I reserved the room for 6 people but 2 people couldn't come.I was unable to get any refund and had to pay for 6 people.
You would think spending so much money at a resort hotel we would have been treated a little better. I guess not. I do not recommend this hotel.

The resort feels new, modern and a nice blend of Japanese features with modern western convenience. Rooms are spacious, clean and all have a fantastic sea view facing. I love Japanese hotels as they tend to have attached onsens which is definitely a plus point. Beaches are easily accessible though have strict “operating hours” which I understand is out of the hotel’s control and oddly common across Okinawa hotels with beach access. The gym could be better equipped and I didn’t like to have to change to shoes provided by them - would much prefer to just use my own. Breakfast spread and service was good. Oh, and did I mention that Orion beer is provided at breakfast, during happy hour and also stocked up in your in-room refrigerators? Only happens when you stay at a resort operated by a brewery :)

Wonderful hotel with impeccable service. Really quiet and clean pools, good onsen and attentive service. We stayed in the Club Wing, and the lounge facility is great.

Only downside is the local beach - perfectly clean and has many lifeguards, but man made and has no marine life. It’s not far to another beach in Bise that is fantastic for snorkelling though.

For us, this was only a small drawback and the whole family left wanting to stay again.

This was probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The place was spotless, the view was amazing and the staff were very helpful. I missed when we had to go and would love to go back some day. Only slight negatives are expensive lunch/dinner options, but there are many other options within walking distance. If you have the means definitely go here.

My family and I spent two nights at the Orion hotel, I had higher expectations for the hotel based on the photos and the reviews but the hotel felt dated and I was also disappointed that there was as no AC on our floor and throughout other areas of the hotel. Check in and check out was easy but our room was very warm upon arrival and although the AC was working properly…it was not very strong so I was able to get a little electric fan to help keep it cooler. beds were a bit firm but slept fine. The breakfast buffet was not bad but does get very busy and hectic. we didn’t have to wait too long and the food was ok. we did enjoy the pool and close distance to the aquarium and close by spots we wanted to visit. the creative center at the bottom of the hotel was also fun in the evening and my daughter was able to paint a shark. overall not a bad hotel but would consider other options next time in okinawa.

I recently stayed with my family of 4. We loved our room - beds were comfy, loved the balcony and the large bathroom. Onsen facilities were lovely.

The property was so tropical and beautiful. The staff were friendly and the free breakfast was yummy!

This property almost hit every nail on the head: large rooms, Orion beer bar, paid dining options, beach, onsen, swimming pool - but there was some room for improvement.

We were here in late May. It was mostly rainy but warm. The outdoor pool was freezing. There was a small bubble pool that looked like a hot tub but was just as cold as the pool. So with children- it was not doable. Why not heat the pool so people could enjoy it? So we spent most of our time in the tiny indoor pool. The kids had a lot of rules enforced. I understand the culture in Japan is more calm but we’re at a resort? There were no accessible amenities for parents: for example: a quick hot dog or soba. No bar for a drink or coffee. There was a on-site store (ice cream, water, coffee, beer - but you had to leave to go get it). There was also a Lawson’s 5 mins away by walking. But again, you had to leave. As a nice resort, they fell short with service here. Why not open the pool bar to serve quick options to parents w kids that just wanted to enjoy the pool and a vacation. Why have a lunch buffet for $50 per person as the only option for food on the resort? Walk 5 mins for a $6 lunch. Again, leaving the resort. Almost brilliant, but fell a bit short.

the hotel was located next to Expo park, close to fukugi naimiki and beach. it was very nice to walk around. The spa was nice, but it wasn’t included; paid extra. Amenity was very basic. the worst thing was they accepted school trip; high school kids were all over the hotel that we didn’t expect. If you are okay to deal with young kids, then the hotel is good. But we don’t think we will stay there again.

This is one of those hotels that has those giant tour buses come in. There is only one restaurant that does not do course menu, and this restaurant gets booked by the tour buses, so your only options to eat at the hotel are to pay 8000 yen for dinner unless you want to just eat pizza at the Italian restaurant. The Orion bar does not have real food.

Normally this wouldn't matter except the hotel is in sort of an isolated area, so your other options for dinner/lunch are pretty limited. Luckily there is a Family mart nearby for necessities.

Our room appeared to look nice, however, the floor was covered in sand, and the sofa smelled very bad. Luckily they had slippers and we just ended up sitting on our beds for our trip.

The pool was clean. Please note that the infinity pool is limited only to guests staying in the club wing, but that was fine since the pool downstairs was nice enough.

I didnt like the beach access at this time. The beach was not open yet to swim or snorkel in. I also didnt like that they lock the gate to the beach at night so we couldn't go over to the beach area where it was darker to stargaze. Other than that the hotel was...perfection.

Hotel Orion Motobu Resort was an oasis. The site feels brand new, with big, comfortable, clean, and eco-friendly rooms. Positives: free parking, tasty breakfast included, the Okinawan restaurant was outstanding for trying local foods, attentive staff, the property sits right on the Expo park. Negatives: no gym, no room service, the spa was closed at the time due to the COVID state of emergency which was understandable. Also, nearby Bize tree grove is fun to explore, but, I think due to it being summer, there were large spiders everywhere in the trees!

Dream resort!

This was our honeymoon trip to Okinawa and we stayed in a total of 3 hotels.
Hotel Orion was the most expensive and luxurious hotel of them all and I think it was well worth the cost and time to drive up the island to visit. The staff were courteous and wonderful from start to end.
The resort is very clean and spacious. They have everything you would need in the room and the view overseeing the Emerald Beach is just breathtaking. They even have Orion beer vending machines.
The breakfast buffet was AWESOME. They had a large selection of everything from Japanese cuisine to pancakes and fruit. We also went there for dinner one day and it was well worth the cost. I think they are especially awesome at cooking noodles / pasta.
The hotel is connected to the Ocean Expo Park area, which includes the Churaumi Aquarium, Native Okinawan Village, Tropical Dream Center and other awesome places to visit within walking distance (it is a bit of a walk but they also have shuttles).
The hotel garden was beautiful and the Emerald Beach was wonderful (though make sure to have good footwear when going to the beach -- the sand is quite coarse and there are a lot of sharp shell pieces). The only complaint I would have is that the beach area will play music with very inappropriate language, so be careful if you have children with you (though I don't think this is the hotel's fault).
Anyways, the days we stayed at Hotel Orion was definitely like a dream!

it was a first trip for our baby and we strongly do not recommend anyone who will bring an infant to stay at this hotel. the boiler at our room was our concern about the hygiene for baby, so we came to seek the hotel staff's help on directing us the way to get hot water for making milk for our baby. but no one gave us a hand and even we went to hotel restaurant, they just refused us.

The "WORST CHOICE" in my life

1. I could not find any Servicemanship, Manners, Kindness from staffs and managers

2. Towels in the bathroom was very dirty with dust. Breakfast table was filled with used dishes. But lazy staffs did not remove it.

3. There are no private beach for hotel guest only. There are big shampoo and soap bottle for common in the Shower room. In terms of comfort, I could not understand why it is too expensive.

4. The breakfast quality was terrible.

5. Hotel is located in northern small town, Very very far from the City.

I traveled with my family and my sister's family, and overall experience was very pleasant!
If you plan to drive there, hotel parking lot is quite spacious, if you don't, you can take express bus either from airport directly or from Naha Bus Terminal. The time spent on bus from Naha is around two hours.

Hotel room is the most spacious I have ever stayed, because it can accommodate four single beds and we still have space to put our suitcases and walk comfortably. The sea view from hotel room is fantastic that you won't be tired of seeing every second.
Aquarium Expo Park is very close to hotel, you can have a easy walk from Emerald Beach, which is right in front of hotel, to Expo Park in 10 minutes. I highly recommend this hotel, and if I ever return to Motobu, I will stay there again.

少し，気になったことがありました。初めて夕食にブッフェをいただきましたが、朝食やランチに比べると、お値段を考えると残念な印象でした。
また、スタッフさんとのお喋りも楽しみのひとつでしたが、ビアスタンドもなくなり、ちょっと物足りなく感じてしまいました。

걸어서 5분거리 비세후쿠길 산책도 좋았고(모기밥이 된건 비밀입니다 ㅋ)
호텔 바로 앞의 비치도 좋았어요
조식포함이라 밥도 맛나게 많이 잘먹었어요
함께간 인원이 많아서 창가자리는 못갔는데 창가자리에 앉아서 음식과 조금 가깝게 먹음 와따가따할때 덜 불편할꺼 같아요 ㅎ

수영장이랑 비치를 이용하지 못한것도 후회됩니다ㅠㅜ
다음번에 이용시에는 여유롭게 여행할꺼에요~
북부여행 하신다면 꼭 2박을 추천드려요 ㅋ

房間超大，有浴缸可泡澡（一大兩小可以一起泡），離海灘及水族館步行可到，整體服務品質佳，雖然早餐品項偏少，但質量不錯，還會再帶家人到此處旅遊

北部沖縄のゆったりと過ごせるホテル

美ら海水族館に接続しているホテルです。各部屋から正面に伊江島が見え、今回もその為に宿泊しました。
部屋はゆったりとしており、静か。朝食ブッフェは種類が多い。

Sehr schöne Unterkunft am Emerald Beach. Zu meinem persönlichen leidwesen waren sehr, sehr viele familien mit Kindern in dem ressort, sodass der geräuschpegel beim frühstück und am pool ziemlich extrem war. Es war ausserdem dadurch insgesamt sehr wuselig.
Im hotel selber gibt es keinen ATM sondern nur im fußläufig etwa 5 min entfernt gelegenen convenience store. Viel mehr ist in fer umgebung sonst nicht. Das bbq restaurant war des grillrauchs ausgezeichnet und sehr lecker. Im japanischen restaurant waren die Portionen für die Preise zu klein
