We had a great time! We were not able to try all the restaurant due to not having reservations open but we got to try The Japanese restaurant and the Nest. Our favorite restaurant was the Nest, Captain Armando and his crew were awesome! We had dinner there twice. Nicky at the kids club was great at keeping the kids entertained while the adults enjoy dinner. Maria at the pool was great with the kids. The pool waiters : Uriel, Julio, Carlos and other were also great. Facility is very nice and well kept. Buffet was also great with plenty of options.

Our room was great! We had a wonderful vacation and our butler Alejandro was so helpful. We loved the atmosphere, the teens club was great, and the beach is beautiful! I would love to come back and it was very hard to leave!

The resort, food and service was incredible. But we feel we were sold a false bill.of goods regarding dinner reservations, even with Family Selection status. Many restaurants closed throughput the week and we had to continually go up the 'chain' just to get ar eservation, only to find the restaurants were never at full capacity. It's too bad, if the restaurant situation was fixed it would have exceeded my expectations, but given the hassle we don't plan on going back.

Have stayed here 5 times over the last 5 years and generally service and quality has declined. Spa is amazing, most or the staff are friendly and attentive however our butlers were unresponsive and not helpful the first few days, our room was not cleaned by housekeeping more than once, quality of food has declined.

The spa was terrible. We felt rushed the entire time and did not get to enjoy the facilities; not to mention the crazy prices and subpar services.

The hotel was ok, but not the premium/luxury as advertised. The Family Selection didn’t feel exceptionally special considering how it’s advertised. It’s an ok resort, but we will not return.

First time visiting grand palladium and was beyond impressed with property, amenities and overall staff. Room was clean spacious! We upgraded to family selection which gives you access to designated area that includes a private pool, beach area and restaurant. Towels are accessible in multiple areas like pools and beach you don’t need to haul your towel around. waiters available at the pool and beach who are very attentive. Best part if you have kids ! My 3 and 4 year old had the best time the accommodations available for them are phenomenal! There is a kids club that has different activities every hour where your child can stay with the most amazing caring girls. They did multiple activities for the kids in the family selection area pool and beach. My kids participated in a treasure hunt, eco tour, kite flying and water balloon game in the pool. I was able to visit the spa while my kids had fun at the kids club! The spa was relaxing all amenities available were amazing a hydro pool, a relaxing massage,infinity pool second floor, smoothie bar, many sauna , steam and other rooms. Food and entertainment while we were there we watched a few shows at the teatro that were fun ! A silent disco party, a roof top bar with a dj, sports bar open 24 hours ! You must also check out the coffee shop at the village they have great lattes & pastries. Restaurant options available Italian, Mexican, Indian,Japanese and many other food was great. The staff was the best part everyone was amazing.

Beautiful hotel installations, nice beach, and great staff! For a “5” stars hotel the “Isla Blanca” restaurant was a disappointment. The food temperature was always cold, raw meats and rude grill stations staff.
The service at the beach was lacking. “The Nest” restaurant was a real treat with lobster and great service from Armando and Alfredo. We had a beautiful room with a gorgeous panoramic view with lots of treats upon our arrival, premium drinks and a butler who booked our dinners. I highly recommend the family selection if you are travelling with children.

Second Stay - Some Highs, Some Lows
We travel in groups, so it isn't easy to find a resort that offers something for everyone. This was our second visit to Family Selection at Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres—last year was fantastic & we returned hoping for the same experience. While many things were still great, this stay had a few hiccups.

As always, Rafa nadal tennis coaches (Hugo & Francisco) were fantastic and their team was organized when it came to lessons and court bookings. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Housekeeping was flexible with timing & kept the room well-stocked.

Lows:
Issues at check-in as our Expedia Gold VIP Access benefits weren't recognized until we escalated. Last time we were warmly greeted with an instant upgrade and a surprise dessert tray on our final meal. We finally got it sorted out but it makes us question if future stays will be as difficult. Black+White flooded & our kids were disappointed there were no alternative teen activities/venues all week. Shuttles seemed reduced, skipping stops & hard to rely on.

Highs:
Butlers Luis/Cesar were excellent and truly redeemed the experience for us. Great service at the mexican restaurant and teppanyaki grill. We were able to enjoy the TRS options this time - La Boheme being our favourite for food and service. Poolside service was solid, and when one of us got sick, the on-site doctor was helpful.

Tips for future travellers: BYO bug spray & OTC meds. Gift shop charges $36 USD for tylenol.

De todas las veces que hemos visitado México y que han sido muchas, este es el hotel más completo y más acogedor que hemos visto. El mejor servicio , amabilidad, limpieza, la comida , las actividades para los adultos y niños. Los detalles de todos los empleados, desde los restaurantes hasta los mayordomos……. Los chicos de los bares , Miguel , yosbany, Hugo de la piscina. el capitán armando , las chicas que ayudan en el kids club Amy , sandy … el chef Elías , los camareros Mauricio , Arturo. Los mayodormos , Eduardo , Alexander y Karime. Sorry que No me acuerdo todos los nombres pero todos fueron muy especiales con nuestra familia. Les recomiendo mucho el cabaret the chic. Que talentosos todos sus artistas. Es nuestra 4 visita a su hotel y no nos hemos marchado aún y ya estamos coordinando nuestra próxima visita. Ojalá sea pronto. Apreciamos mucho sus atenciones para con nosotros.

Beautiful resort, excellent service everywhere you go. Very clean and safe. Food options at the pool were just okay. Reservations at restaurants need to be made at check in or else you may not land a seat. Important to note: this resort is large and in order to get around, you will need to take golf carts. Walking is not impossible but with the heat and little kids, golf carts were the way to get around. Sometimes they come quick and sometimes there is a bit of a wait.

Wish we were given a map at check in so we know where everything is at. We got by with asking a lot of questions and knowing general areas of where we wanted to go. The butler service was great. They are fast; attentive and really try their best to meet your needs. No request is too odd!

Javier the resort manager met us and ensured our needs were taken care of. Great service!

Overall would recommend this resort.

We had a lovely time at this resort! Before arrival, I had sent an email the FS butler team regarding wishlist and had done research on FB groups on this. Upon arrival, they did not disappoint. We were welcome into our room with lovely gifts for our kids, fruits and desserts on the table. Also, the provided many amenities for our kids that's tailored for kids.

Both the Kids Club were great! Being able to drop the kids off at the main Kids Club was great. They had a great time. The FS Kids Club was also wonderful giving us the option to drop them off during the evening so we can go to one of the restaurant in TRS. The staff at both Kids Club were terrific! They kept the kids engaged and led each activities so well. Cheers to the Kids Club staff at both the FS and main Kids Club.

The butler team was amazing too. Their service was wonderful and all the requests we had were done for us. The only thing we didn't get every night was the turndown service. It didn't bother me but I did request for it on two different nights and we didn't get it nightly.

All dinner reservations were made by the butler team and they would suggest how best to fit all the restaurant we want to try during our stay. A la carte restaurants were all wonderful! Their food quality and service was great. The buffets in general was acceptable. Food quality not as good compared to the a la carte restaurant. It wasn't bad but I expected better food quality and choices.

Frida and Emanuel our Butler were amazing. The last night we were there they set up a bubble bath for my kids. The Nest restaurant was our favorite! They cook food right in front of you. The beach is a little far out especially for guests not staying on the Family side. The carts can be a little more frequent and should have a bell specially for night. The boat could also run a little more frequent.

The staff was nice anywhere we went: pool, restaurants, shoppes. Check in/out was pretty quick with no issues. We stayed at the family selection section. Rooms were decent. Not fancy but had all the necessities. These rooms came with a personal butler but honestly the butler was not useful. We’ve asked for a few things such as extra blanket and extra supplies for coffee they were not provided. The resort is beautiful but everything is spread out too far. It’s either you have to walk a mile to get to a coffee shop or restaurants or have to wait for a transport cart. During morning and dinner time, wait time can be 10-15 minutes., so by that time it’s quicker to walk. The pools were clean and nice. The beach area was nice and clean.

I am Expedia gold member, this means I should receive special treatment and upgrades, our room was not prepared for my kids, there was nothing special for them, the bedsheets were dirty, the housekeeping kept forgetting to restock our fridge or put enough towels, and in reality they would only tidy up the room, no cleaning or changing sheets.
The main and second buffet food was so boring and lacked variety, the nest buffet was a joke, the tables were shaky and once we ordered at nest and waited 45 minutes for the smallest portion possible. At portofino, they put burnt pasta in front of me with no shame. At the coffee shop they kept ignoring us until I asked them to take our order and all order was wrong.
I once ordered room service, nothing crazy, just meat empanadas and cheese cake and I got food poisoning. Lucky my kids fell sleep waiting for their food and didn’t eat it.
There is not one bartender here that knows how to make a drink, all drinks were tasteless, I would ask for mojito and they would give me margarita, asked for coco loco, they didn’t bother to make it, asked for straw for my toddler they wouldn’t provide.
T The bar waiters around pool would rarely approach you to take your order, at the beach there was one lady that asked 3 people for drink and left the rest, and for the rest of the time stood there chitchatting with life guards. All the staff, except you to tip, its like you owe them for every small thing they do, they don’t respect you as a guest.

The property is beautiful, modern and gigantic, if you’re up for some exercise, then walk around otherwise take the trolly or boat is a must as everything is spaced out and takes around 20 minutes to get to. Poseidon is a cute spot for lunch/dinner. The beaches are beautiful, clean and clear blue water, The resort’s best feature would be the family selection side where it’s really kid/family friendly and offers butler service. Taking 1 star off as food was mediocre. All the restaurants are beautifully designed with a wide selection of foods however they all tasted just ok lots of room for improvement there.

Beautiful resort. We travel at least once every quarter and this was one of our favourite experiences, especially for an all inclusive. The upgraded room was fantastic and the butler did a great job of reserving dining and informing us of events. Hydrotherapy at the spa was a bit pricey for an 1.5 hours but it was beautiful and something we’d consider again. We loved the loft suite and the beautiful views of the ocean. The only improvement would be the cleanliness of the bathrooms and a slight inconsistency in meal preparation whenever we ordered room service - ingredients condiments and even portion sizes were different each time. It isn’t something that would stop us from returning though, we’re looking forward to our next visit! PS We recommend tennis lessons at the Rafa nadal centre - they were super fun and kept us active throughout the trip.

Not sure why they dont close out a floor at a time to do renovation. During our whole trip they were painting walls, and doing renovations. Whole floor smelled like paint. We booked in 4 different groups everyone had a different experience. We were in building 11 of the family select while our friends was at 12. Building 12 did not have any renovation also their accomodation was much better. As soon as they arrived they were given fancy vodka and champagne with cookies, treats and a variety of bags/beach bags and toys for the kids. When we checked in we received no beach toys for our kids, no treats, just 2 empty bags and one was clearly used as it was completly stained. Overall not too happy with our stay at this resort, we stayed at their sister company in Maya and had a much better experience.

Huge resort, huge disappointment

Very disappointed! The place is huge and you have to take a shuttle to get anywhere. Drinks tasted strange and the only restaurant out of the many on property we tried was Sumptuori we really enjoyed. Food and service were impeccable. The food on the buffets were typically cold and bland. Some of the staff were very friendly and some were quite indifferent. I was annoyed by the check in process when we first arrived. We were taken to a VIP lobby where only one person was working with a large family. Exhausted and hungry, it was about 45 minutes before we got to our room that had water all over the floor from a/c condensation. It felt as though the room was never cool enough to sleep comfortably because of the intense humidity and the bedding felt a bit rough. We were told we had a butler, but seemed as though all they did was make dinner reservations, which was already arranged by the wedding we were attending there. I paid more for an ocean view room and it was actually a partial view and not worth the extra money. I forgot saline solution for my contacts and a 2 ounce bottle from the gift shop was $22! Ouch!

Overall, we had a great experience.

The resort is a little more rundown than it was when we were here in the past. We also arrived to dirty bedsheets, which we were not thrilled about.

The à la carte restaurants were delicious, but the rest of the food options were meh. The service and drinks were hit or miss which was not our experience in the past.

Victoria at the nest restaurant was the most amazing staff we’ve ever come across. She was warm and welcoming, and we understand why she’s the supervisor.

Overall , it was great, but it could be better. We didn’t receive the kid’s welcome package like the sun glasses, the toys, and the stuffs that were advertised. Even though I mentioned it but Nobody bring it to us. And the $1500 credit was fake, feel disappointed with only a useless $600 coupon book. Besides that, the place’s clean, love the environment, feels safe. Room attendants did a great job cleaning our room.

A sprawling campus like resort with a multitude of pools and eating options. We had easy access to a beach that was clean and well maintained. The staff at the resort was definitely top notch and they catered to our needs very nicely. The dining options (most require reservations) were fun and varied. Indian and Sushi were excellent options and they were able to accommodate our group of 14 without issue. Traveling the resort can be done on foot or via numerous golf carts that take guest to and from. Definitely a place to try!

We recently stayed at the resort as a family of 4 in the FS section. Check-in was very smooth and our butler was great with keeping us posted on events and available dining options. All the golf cart drivers were very friendly and happy to help out in any way. We enjoyed the main pool with our kids because its right next to the splash area. The lunch buffett at the main pool.was 10/10, they added more items throughout the lunch time and again were all very friendly and helpful. The waitors around the pool kept our drinks topped up all day long! We also enjoyed the nest option for some meals. The steak house on the TRS side was really good.

We booked a Family Selection part as we travelled with 2 teenagers and this option allows access to the TRS for adults. At check in we realize that Family Selection is oriented on families with children up to 5/7 years old, oven though their slogan says "luxury at any size". Check in area look like little day care area, the restaurant The Nest has a playroom inside and again feels like you are in a daycare at breakfast as kid’s music is blasting. Inside our room there was toddler sized hat and sand toys (bucket, shovel etc), SO If you are coming with teenagers, there is NOTHING for them! Family Selection pool was like yet another daycare..You pay for "luxury" part of the resort yet teenagers are left with main Grand Palladium pool activities only, volleyball pretty much..and after 5pm if you rented the ball from POP, they will go around and collect those oven if the pool is still full of teens playing. My children are not into video games so the Black/White club was not the option, also it is inside, not an outside activity. Restaurants: on Tuesdays they close buffet and 3 restaurants so now they force everyone to make a reservation and if you did not (because maybe that is the day you arrived at the resort) you would have hard time to find where to eat dinner as per their excuse, "they are feeding over 2000 people in a few restaurants that ARE open. First of all BUFFET SHOULD NEVER BE CLOSED!

We loved this place as a family! The spa experience was incredible. The only thing disappointing was the noisy doors in the middle of the night. Some guests were very inconsiderate and just keeps shutting it off so loud. You can hear guests from the hallways. It’s a big building but looks like doors are thin enough that you can hear every single noise at night.
