Good size rooms with bathtubs, comfortable beds, good location. During our trip around Ireland we stayed in 5 hotels and only this didn't have any food facilities. Restaurant and bar were closed, moreover no cups or glasses, tea or coffee in the room.

Wonderful Helpful staff! Great bed, hot shower with good power! Walk to town in minutes, go a bit further and enjoy a walk along the Grand Canal, it’s paved, good for a walk, run, bike, good for taking your new baby for a stroll. Also directly behind the hotel is a great park with all kinds of things for children!

Hotel is in good location.
The Town of Tullamore has changed a lot in 5 years. Most of the small shops are in a mall area. So the small town charm is gone.

We booked a triple room and was happy with the room's cleanliness and size. It was a very comfortable stay. The hotel was able to provide us with a cot for our baby. The staff was friendly. There is a small parking lot to the side of the hotel with limited free parking spaces.

Keenest priced hotel in Ireland??!

At these prices I fail to see how this hotel actually makes money!! Everything was 100% from the food to the service. Bed was comfy, room clean. The ONLY downside was the lack of hotel parking, I managed to get street parking right outside reception(free), and there's always the supermarket carpark opposite(also free).
I've never given any hotel or B&B a 5* review before but the simple fact that the price had the wow factor and everything went smoothly the Central Hotel tops my list of places to stay in the Midlands and probably the whole of Ireland. If only more hotels were as good as this, keep up the good work Grand National Central!

The bed in our room was awful, huge dip in the middle and made a racket every time you move. Terrible nights’ sleep. Told receptionist on check out - he was apologetic but no offer of any kind of recompense. Shower tray also very shallow and fills to over flowing after a few minutes. The room (#216) is not fit for guests.

Five star hotel at affordable prices, excellent !

We have stayed in many hotels and this was the best hotel by far beautifully decorated with a pleasant relaxing atmosphere, plenty of sockets and fresh towels delivered everyday the hotel also has excellent local amenities with everything you need on the doorstep, this is standard to which all hotels should strive to achieve ! well done to management , staff and the excellent cleaners !

This was not my first time to stay here but this time I was not impressed bathroom was clean but smelly cups were sticky when we rang down for clean ones we got nothing had to go down and ask at desk only to be told sorry we forgot
Breakfast was not good spoons cross contaminated beans on the egg spoon etc and just a bit thrown together

The 3rd shift Front Desk Staff (girl) was obtuse and very rude. This was the second time we have stayed here. The same person was a terrible spokesperson. We will not return. I will stay at Tullamore court next time.

We loved our stay, the staff are great. The room was lovely and comfortable but could do with updating the paint work. We had an amazing time. The breakfast was disappointing though, over cooked eggs and tomatoes the beans were very salty and there was no gluten free alternatives and no vegan options other than fruit and over cooked tomatoes. The coffee wasnt great either. We do intend on returning but won't avail of the breakfast.

Lovely hotel with easy access to local amenities dose have a problem with no hotel car parking on sight or within the surrounding area so parking is avaible in the multi story down the street at hourly rates or in carparks agacent to the Bridge centre a little costly if you need to park all day week days or at weekends when its busy

Good value 3 star hotel in the town centre

We stayed for 3 nights in July 2018. Comfortable room, good breakfast and good WiFi. Apart from breakfast, all food is served in the bar, which is bright with modern decor. Food was tasty and offered good value. Room was a little too warm (in a very hot July by Irish standards) and the individual air con didn’t appear to work. There are plenty bars and restaurants in the vicinity. Overall the hotel offered excellent value for money.

Stayed for two days in august reported the shower hose was to short (3ft) so couldn't have a proper shower to reception on first day !Didn't get much response of receptionist ?We where out all day on the 2nd day only to return to see that nothing had been done with the shower !! Wasn't very confident of leaving my car in the multi storey carpark they send you to either as it's full of beer cans and broken glass and tullamore not an easy place to park in overnight .The breakfast was brilliant and so where the kitchen and dining room staff , But hotel really lacks a decent bar area to relax in that's why we went to the bridge house ever night !

Bad experience in this hotel

We had prepaid when booking the hotel and was told by the receptionist that we didn’t and there were outstanding fees. She told me to check my bank account to see if I actually had!!!She then realised that we had paid. There was rubbish bags and plates with left over food left outside the lift. The room was outdated and dirty. We were woken up at 5am to extremely loud music that was coming from a room upstairs. It didn’t stop until around 5:45am. When we went to check out, there was a different receptionist on duty and we were told we had to pay for room. I explained to her that I had this problem the day before and my room was already paid for. Your receptionists should look into bookings a bit more before telling people that they need to pay again. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

Nice hotel, good location and nicely presented decor. Bar area is great and the service in that area was good. Reception could be a bit more welcoming though. Bit of training me thinks and an adjustment of the attitude (know what I mean) . Apart from that all grand here and I'd recommend a stay here.

We paid €200 for our two night stay in this hotel, the room was tiny for two adults to be staying in. The room was dirty, there was cigerette burns on the floor and on the curtains. The bed was very very uncomfortable. When we arrived and wanted to have showers there was no hot water so we had to complain. We also went to the restaurant on the Friday night for food and it was horrendous, the food was like pre packed food was definitely not home made at all.
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Centrally located as the name implies, very easy week around all of town. Whether it be a tour of the Tullamore D.E.W. distillery, a bite to eat at local restaurants, or a drink at the local pubs, everything is within reach of the hotel.

The staff was super friendly. Starting with the check in, following through to complimentary Irish breakfast, and finishing out with the desk clerk allowing us to use the front desk computer to check in for our fights amd print boarding passes they never ceased with a smile and wonderful demeanor.

Would absolutely stay here again.

Highly recommend for an overnight in Tullamore

Really nice spot for an overnight in Tullamore.. large spotless room,friendly staff .. great price with breakfast included! Pleasantly surprised for the price we paid. No parking though need to park on street overnight after 5.30 pm and go out by 9.30 am and pay to avoid parking fine !

We chose this hotel to be near an early morning departure from Dublin Airport. It was clean & convenient - nothing fancy. Unfortunately when the bar closed at 3am we were plagued with revelers for an hour or more.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay in the hotel. The rooms were clean and modern - the bathroom and facilities were good with a bath and shower available.

The only real gripe we had was with the pillows. They were far too hard. The bed itself was very comfortable though.

Also, there was no parking facility, but we had no trouble parking in the street for reasonable rates.

We got off the elevator to 3 garbage bags and a stack of dishes and half eaten food on the floor in the hallway. The hotel and especially our room (marked nonsmoking like all the others in the hall) smelled like cigarette smoke and fried food. the carpet was filthy with cigarette burns all over and stains were on the ceiling. The bed was worse than a pull out couch... you could feel every metal spring and it was ancient. We slept in our clothes and left early the next day.

This hotel is not well kept. There were cigarette burns all over the carpet. The beds were very dirty and extremely uncomfortable. the bathroom amenities we're aweful. Price was good but still wouldn't pay that much for this terrible hotel ever again.
