Pros: The hotel is located in a great area centrally situated within a 15-30 min walk to most attractions, a short walk to public transportation and surrounded by many great restaurants. Most of the front desk staff were very helpful.

Cons: The rooms are way smaller than the appear in the photos. I booked a room for two people and for most of the stay we were only given one wash rag. In room fridge was warm and didn’t seem to be working. Our window was located in the from of the hotel overlooking a construction site and we were awoken at 8am to maintenance scraping the metal signage right outside of our window which disrupted our rest. Our tv didn’t work every other day due to wifi issues. They advertised shisha onsite in their photos and on the signage outside however, they don’t provide shisha at all. We arrived back to the hotel one night after dinner to the front door locked and other guest waiting outside. No one was at the front desk and guest mentioned they had been waiting there for 15 mins to get in. When front desk person finally came he was not apologetic, didn’t not provide info on why the door was locked and said well you know.

Overall stay and experience was not what was expected based on photos and what was advertised.

Everything about this hotel is 5-Star. My only comment for any improvement would be for the hotel to invest in an electric golf cart with rain & wind protection to pick up customers from the street sidewalk (which is the only means to access the front lobby). First impressions are often the lasting ones and this hotel should control this narrative. I can't imaging how I would have felt if it were raining with cold wind and I had to walk 140 meters to get to the lobby in such weather. There is no excuse for this. If the hotel makes this change I would give it a 5-Star. If no changes to the initial customer experience I would unfortunately rate it a 3-Star.
To the owners: This should be a no-brainer!! :-)

Nice staff, good location but generally disappointing. NOT. a true 4-star (as rated by expedia). The first room was fine, but overlooked a construction site. Second room was their 'best' room but seemed it hadnt been freshened in a long time, room was 80 degrees when we entered, great view but very dirty windows obscured that, sink was partially clogged. Service on rooftop was not very good. Did not recognize the expedia benefits so this seem like'Vip' here was false advertising. Places is rated around 9-9.3. NO way. Have to be fame reviews and this concerns me regarding trusting both expedia start rating and reviews in the future. The room was not cheap. We should really ask expedia for partial credit simce this was not as advertised.

VIP status not recognized. Discount on food not offered. First room was regular room but view was a construction site, very bad. Should have been transparent, would not have stayed there. Second room was premium room, great view, they said best in the hotel. It was obvious it hadn't been serviced recently, or checked first, it was very hot (80+), very loud at night. Bathroom sink partially clogged. Nice staff.

This is what I liked: Staff are excellent, location is one of the best as you dont need to walk up and down hills to get anywhere, it fairly flat from the hotel to the T1 Tram. Room was very comfortable and clean, air smelt good, breakfast is brilliant and view from the roof top restaurant is very good. This is what i did not like: Taxi cant get to the hotel so if you have lots of luggage you got a problem. The rubber on the hair dryer in the room was stickey so it was full of dirt that could not be cleaned off. We complained but was not replaced. No Alchohol in the restaurant. These are minor issues and I would stay at the hotel in the future.

My recent stay at The Wings Hotel Karakoy was exceptional, making it a highly recommended choice for anyone visiting Istanbul. The hotel is impeccably maintained and spotlessly clean, contributing to an immediate sense of comfort upon arrival.

The accommodation was a highlight. Our room was notably spacious and extremely comfortable, thoughtfully equipped with all the necessary amenities for a relaxing and convenient stay. The only thing missing was the body lotion, which we thought was odd to be left out.

The hotel's location is strategically superb. It is within easy walking distance of major transportation links, including trains and trams, as well as multiple key places of interest, allowing for effortless exploration of the city.

The à la carte breakfast was superb; the food was consistently tasty, creatively prepared, and beautifully presented.

Finally, the level of service truly elevated our experience. The staff, particularly Meryem and Emir, were proactive, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. Their excellent service made us feel consistently appreciated and cared for throughout our entire visit.

Never thought we would travel to Türkiye, but our cruise was departing from Istanbul. We decided to arrive a few days early and check out the city. The hotel is right on the water and about 15 mins from the ports for the cruise ships. The property is nice and clean. But beware that there is no road to the property, so you have to walk with your bags on cobblestone streets to get to the hotel. The staff is amazing!! Shout out to Mert, who was gracious, informative and helpful!! When we were leaving for a cruise, a staff member loaded up our bags and walked us all the way to the port for the cruise!! So impressive!! we will definitely come back to Türkiye and this will be the hotel of our choice!!

Perfect place: very central next to the hubs of the tramway, walking distance from the Blue Mosque and Haghia Sofia, the bazar and the cisterns and everything important in Istanbul. The staff is amazingly helpful and our room, very comfortable and spacious had a great view on the Bosphorus. Highly recommended hotel.

Overall a good boutique hotel

Overall this is a good boutique hotel in an excellent location. Very near to the ferries and the tram line. The staff were lovely and very helpful. They always ask if everything is ok and will do little jobs like printing stuff off and arranging taxis etc. my only two criticisms of this hotel is that they do not make it clear in their description of the hotel that some of the rooms have the prayer tower literally outside the bedroom window and they are very loud at 6 am! My other criticism is that the bathroom tiles are treacherous when wet both inside and outside the shower and there is no handrail. If you were frail you could easily fall and break something.

This hotel is very conveniently located. The room was tastefully furnished and comfortable. The employees are all very friendly and helpful. The hotel and its lobby are compact, so there is not a large common area for hanging out. We tried the rooftop restaurant for dinner on our arrival but found the food to be less appealing than at the several other restaurants we visited in Istanbul.

Wonderful that they take such care of me from the time I’m at the airport to the shuttle to the hotel to the gentleman meeting my shuttle on the street and walking me and my suitcases to the lobby for check in, then up to my room to show me all of the features and get my luggage stashed. We didn’t utilize this at all because of that and it is a nice rooftop. There is undeveloped property right beside the hotel that hopefully gets developed soon as it is an eyesore to such a nice area. Not the hotels fault, and I would still stay here again.

The hotel is in a very strategic location, close to the Galata Bridge, and close to all transport links (ferry, tram and bus). The hotel is centrally located with beautiful view of the Bosphorus.
Quality of service by employers is outstanding.
It is kind of inconvenient that there is a construction site right in front of the hotel which seems to be suspended due to archeological discoveries, limiting access by car and creating confusion among taxi cab drivers. It is not the fault of the hotel but it poses logistical challenges which are compensated by the amazing view of the Bosphorus.

We stayed in two corner suites at the Wings Hotel in Istanbul and were genuinely impressed. The rooms were elegant, spacious, and beautifully designed, with stunning views that made our mornings and evenings especially memorable. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone was warm and attentive, going out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

A special shoutout to Mert, who personally showed us to our rooms and took the time to help us navigate Istanbul’s public transportation system. That kind of thoughtful service made a big difference. Highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for comfort, style, and genuinely helpful hospitality.

First of all be aware that property doesn’t allow refunds. That should’ve been the biggest red flag from the get go. Another thing is that the restaurant up top doesn’t offer any alcohol drinks. Which is understandable, but I would prefer to know about this before booking. Another upsetting thing was that regular rooms are facing an ongoing construction. Definitely not a 2000$ cad view. The view is pretty depressing. And the only way to improve it is to pay extra 1000$ cad for 5 days. A/C in the room doesn’t cool the room properly. There were several power outages during our short stay. The cover on the bed had some blood stains as well. Shower gel was empty from get go. Coffee pods were used and moldy and stayed in the container of “new” pods. The only good thing was restaurant up top which had very good breakfasts.
Out of hotel staff Maryam was very helpful and kind. Overall staff were nice and friendly. Understandably it’s not on them, but policy of non-refundable reservations in 2025 is ridiculous and needs to be changed especially when charging high price for mediocre hotel.

Excellent hotel and great customer service. The view from the restaurant on the roof is amazing, highly recommend their Turkish breakfast option. It’s in a pedestrian zone, no cars driving by, so you will need to roll your suitcases for about half a block but they help with that too, if you ask.

The only couple of things that would require attention are:
- on each floor, there is an air purifier with a certain scent - the scent is quite intense and I believe a lot of people do not like it, including me. Even the staff does not like it. Would be great to just have a clean air without any smell.
- AC didn’t work properly throughout our stay. Staff couldn’t fix it. Maybe a technical department shall evaluate it.

Regardless, the stay was very pleasant.

The staff at the hotel are so incredibly helpful and friendly - went above and beyond. The room was good but felt a few things needed fixing I.e the shower door did not close fully, the fridge light would randomly start flashing at night. The rooms were nice and clean but did feel a little dated and could do with a bit more attention to detail. The location is great and lots of restaurants close by. It was lovely to walk along the pier each day. Also easy to walk to the old town and didn’t need to get a taxi anywhere. Service was excellent but rooms can be improved. Overall very happy with our stay in this little boutique hotel.

The staff was not only friendly but went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of during our stay. From restaurant recommendations and room service and everything in between. When our fight was delayed, they helped us with luggage and transportation as well.
The location was close to Galata Tower, the bridge and a tram. Our room was clean and spacious with a water view. The bed was comfortable too. The rooftop bar had a great view and a fantastic Turkish Breakfast. Thanks for a lovely time.

We had a memorable stay at the Wings Hotel in Istanbul. Our room was surprisingly spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable — and the stunning view of the Bosphorus right outside the dining area was truly the highlight of our mornings.

What really made our experience stand out, though, was the exceptional service. After a disappointing incident where we were scammed by a taxi driver, the hotel’s customer relations officer stepped in immediately. They not only listened to our concerns but also helped us report the driver to the proper authorities, going above and beyond to make us feel supported and safe.

Hermoso hotel boutique, ubicado frente al Bósforo con una terraza muy linda que también tiene vista hacia la torre de Galata. Las habitaciones son muy espaciosas y la decoración es muy bonita, muy elegante y de muy buen gusto. El staff de recepción amable, atento y servicial. En especial Mert que fue muy cortés y además habla muy bien inglés. El desayuno en la terraza fue muy rico y abundante. 100% recomendable, sin duda nos volveríamos a hospedar en The Wings.

Friend and I checked into a room with two twin beds on the side of the hotel. Room is well maintained and decorated. Hotel is better on the inside than the outside. Beautiful artwork/sculptures in the hallways. Staff helpful and efficient. No alcohol is served in the restaurant up top and/or the hotel in general. Hotel caters to a mixed clientele of Middle Eastern and European guests. You will see women in Western Clothing but you also see women in hijabs (just like everywhere in Istanbul - it's a mix of cultures). Convenient location. Walking distance to several restaurants, cafes's, shops, the port, and the tram (public transport). Hotel feels secure. We felt safe/protected. There is a mosque close by and you will loudly hear the call to prayer. Excellent views of the water and steps from the ferry. ATM/Money Machines located steps from hotel. Again convenient, beautiful charming and a great choice for Istanbul.

The best choice in Istanbul - A perfect place

Un des meilleurs hôtels que j'ai testé. Simplement incroyable : emplacement hyper central. Tous les employés (à la réception, au restaurant de la terrasse, les femmes de chambres,...) sont super professionnels, tellement à l'écoute des clients, sympathiques, proactifs. Souvent les palaces et les 5 étoiles n'ont pas ce sens du service.
Les chambres sont grandes, très bien équipée, propres. Les lits superposés confortables. Les rideaux sont occultants. Les douches à l'Italiennes sont grandes et spacieuses.
Le petit déjeuner est délicieux.
Les vues de la terrasse sont très belles sur la mer et les bateaux.
Franchement, l'hôtel est top.

The service at this hotel was exceptional, especially from Mert. The rooms were large and modern. Beds were great. Public transport is right next door. There is currently construction next to the hotel which didn’t bother us, except taxis can not come to the door.
Also important to note that this hotel does not serve alcohol, but many bars and restaurants in the area.

The most beautiful hotel in Istanbul. We got the suite with water views and it was well worth it. The room was very big with panoramic windows overlooking the water. There was a big balcony. The room is updated and feels so luxurious. The bathroom is beautiful with a stand-up as well as a tub shower. They had provided plenty of essentials in the room. The bedding was beautiful. It has a very romantic vibe. The hotel staff were very friendly and always available to help. The hotel did charge us for a friend that visited us in the room for 30 minutes. But I guess that’s their policy. We felt a little awkward having to go downstairs and register the guest even though she was only staying for 30 minutes. Also, since the hotel is on the water, it is slightly off from the main street. In order to get public transport/taxi you have to walk 2 minutes to the main street. There also seems to be construction going on in the front of the hotel that was not appealing to sight. The hotel is far from Hagia Sofia, blue mosque and Topkapi palace. It’s located on the European side but is separated from the Sultanahmet area by a bridge. About 35 minute walk to the Blue Mosque. Also, plenty of public transport to get around. The hotel also has a great roof top restaurant with amazing views. The food and sheesha/hookah were also amazing. I would definitely stay there again.

Small boutique hotel, virtually sitting on the Bosporus. Luxurious feel to the large room and bathroom, with a beautiful smell pumped throughout the public areas.
Excellent location for either walking or transport to all areas of Istanbul.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Fourth time in Istanbul and would definitely stay at The wings again.

The Wings was amazing. Incredible service - very friendly and helpful staff, even helping me find and get on the local tram. The location is excellent, so close to the water, shops, Galata - walking distance from everything you would want. Beautiful and incredibly comfortable rooms. The view from the restaurant is stunning.

Beautiful Boutique Hotel with SUPERB SERVICE!

We stayed in multiple hotels as part our stay and I have to stay this was probably my favorite. LOCATION- LOCATION- LOCATION! near the tram/public transport/taxies, attractions and cute shops and restaurants- you can't beat the location. The rooms are gorgeously decorated and luxury. And the hotel staff were so tremendously wonderful. I was traveling with a family member that needed special assistance and they were BEYOND customer service. They jumped in where they saw I needed an extra set of hands/muscle and I'm so eternally grateful and they never made it seem like anything but normal to help. THANK YOU!!!

What an amazing experience in this property, the staff was polite and very helpful. The hotel is very close to most tourist places and very convenient to all public transportation. The room we stayed in was very clean and beautiful. The roof top dinning experience is a must. If ever in Istanbul please stay at this hotel. I will highly recommend it.

Great Stay at The Wings

The hotel is in the perfect location for touring Istanbul. It is on the water with no noisy traffic to annoy you and keep you awake at night. Easy walk to the Tram system (easy to navigate) to get to the Old City area or up the hill to the Galata Tower and neighborhoods beyond. Staff is very kind, helpful and professional. Assisted me with any request or need I had during my stay. I highly recommend this hotel to any traveler considering Istanbul as a destination.

Very comfortable stay. Staff very friendly and helpful and roof terrace wonderful. Ideal location to access Sultanahmet Square (walkable over bridge) explore Karaköy easy transport links to Fener & Balat, Kadikoy, Ortakoy Mosque etc. Room super comfortable but shower could have been hotter and shampoo and conditioner provided not very good - take your own. Small things though - overall highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at the Wings Hotel. You cannot beat the location, with a beautiful view of the Bosphorus and the old city from their rooftop terrace. It's next to the Penninsula Hotel (with pretty much the same view). The location is central, within walking distance to restaurants in the Karakoy area, Galata area and Istiklal Street. It's also a few minutes to Tram 1 (just hop on and 4 stops later you are in Sultanhemet) and within easy access of the pier (to go to the Asia side) or the metro/bus to go anywhere in Istanbul. The rooms are modern and well maintained. The staff are all warm and friendly, but I have to put in a special mention for Emre who was absolutely lovely at breakfast each morning. And speaking of breakfast, it was excellent, served on the terrace with a beautiful view of the Bosphorus!I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Istanbul.
