The breakfast was good but the place is a bit run down. No elevator.
Denise
Staff was very helpful in giving directions to an event. Breakfast buffet was one of the best I've experienced in hotels. Room and shower were very clean. Pool was nice but I didn't have opportunity to use it during my stay.
Corinne
My husband and I chose this location traveling from Michigan to North Carolina to stop for a break. The hotel is very out of date. It took 20 minutes to check in with paper processes while the clerk stared at my husband the whole time. Then she tells me I’m all set without giving me a room number or keys. Upon entering our room we were overtaken by an overwhelming mildew/basement smell. The TV and all the appliances are most certainly still from the 90s. The bed was hard as a rock and the bedding felt like a tarp. There was a used hand towel on the sink also. We very seriously contemplated on taking the non-refundable loss but it was storming and flooding in the area so bad we didn’t want to risk having no where to stay. There is no elevator here so carrying 6+ bags upstairs was less than enjoyable. I got just a cup of apple juice and water bottle to go at breakfast and vomited within 15 minutes. I took the frozen water bottle to go and when it finally thawed it had white chunks floating inside. Most unrestful stay we’ve had anywhere. Would never return.

Room was clean. There kids running the halls but mine were being kinda loud too. This hotel allows dogs for a (low) fee which was really helpful since I have not wiener dogs with me. Walls are kinda thin. Someone was knocking on our neighbors door at like 1:00 am. Breakfast was good. Would stay again if we were passing through.
John
Breakfast was better than most other restaurants. Had a number of different hot food. The woman at the check in desk was most helpful and friendly.
Sherrie
The carpet was dark and filthy. My socks were nasty when I took them off at night. I put down a white washcloth and just rubbed it on the carpet and it came up filthy. In addition, there was bad smells and I believe that was from the carpet also. There was a chair in the room that was filthy, I would not put anything on it or sit on it. However, the staff was very nice.

Newly remodeled bathrooms. Nice quality of towels. Everything clean. Excellent staff.
They only clean your room on stays of 3 days or longer. That suited us, but I think you should know. But they will clean more often and/or replace towels upon request.
They have a beautiful heated outdoor pool that has a privacy fence around it. I had my heart set on visiting it, but I didn’t have time.
Our room had 2 comfortable queen-sized beds. It was a rather small room and felt a bit cramped. No problem for only 2 people.
It’s located in a convenient area, for exploring Chillicothe. I hope I get back there again!

The hotel staff was very nice and worked hard to provide a positive experience. The breakfast was delicious and the attendant stayed on top of having fresh hot food, even with a baseball team full of teenagers staying. The older decor was charming and provided nostalgia. My only issue is that there were no sprinkler systems and as a natural consequence parts of the hotel reeked of cigarette smoke and the signs soft-pedaled the idea of no smoking being allowed.

The check-in went smoothly, but we found out the following day that we had not been informed about the policy regarding maid service, and even when we followed the protocol our room remained intended and our towels unreplaced. The new shower leaked and ran across the bathroom floor nearly to the carpet and we had to use our towels to soak up the water to prevent a fall. The room was either frigid or damp. The sheets were too short for the bed. The best part of our experience was the women who stocked the breakfast buffet.
Karen
Firstly, Chillicothe was undergoing road repairs, and it was very difficult to access the property. No heads up was given on booking. Next, when I got to the parking lot and tried to enter the front the front portico was blocked by two trucks. I had to enter through another venue and walk the halls to get to the lobby where there was a line to check in. The lady at the desk was more interested in chatting than in getting people checked in. It took a long time.
Lyle
The bar was loud way past there quite time couldn't sleep from the noise from the bar and music and when we said something to the front desk all they said was sorry. We have stayed here twice now due to medical reasons and both times it was horrible. I never leave reviews but they didnt do anything to try and make it right
John
Dirty floor in room, toilet wouldn’t flush properly the hardest biscuits I have ever seen on the breakfast bar. Only the cereal in the package was edible. The rest of the food was garbage. The spray butter for the waffle maker was empty as I watched people try to make waffles. The pastries must have been at least a week old as they were hard as a rock. There was no elevator to the 2nd floor, check in took forever as there was a line and one slow person checking people in
Nancy
The facility was nice however it did not have an elevator. I don’t believe it was listed in the description. Additionally when I requested to know the room number of the second room I paid for I was told they couldn’t give me that information. I found that pretty annoying!
Susan
Place is very nice. But didn’t realize they didn’t have elevator.
shivakumar
The non smoking room smelled like cigarettes and it was hard to breathe and we checked out as soon as possible the next day .The hotel is in need of lot of updates.
John
No issues at all, enjoyed the stay. Would recommend staying again, Friendly staff
Gene
The first day was absolutely terrible...I paid an extra 75$ for my animal wo knowing about it too only have a big dog running the hallways barking and jumping around and scaring my cat to death...they had no elevator n no extra luggage carts...they door was broken and I had to carry all my stuff clear around to another door making 4 or 5 trips in the heat..the staff acted as if it was all a regular thing esp about the dog...i spent alot of money there n it was awful n like most didnt even care
Kathleen
The staff were absolutely great! The room was very quiet and my husband loved the breakfast especially the small waffles.
Robyn
Staff very polite and welcoming. Breakfast was good with hot entrees. Room was clean and large (handicap). Good parking.

I didn't stay, it says pet friendly, that's a lie. They only allow certain breed of dogs, so I canceled my stay.

This was an overnight stay to break up travel. The location was as expected, although the noise from the highway and surrounding roads was more than we thought it would be and kept us up at night. The conditions were clean and staff is great but it is on the older side. Breakfast was delicious!
Joshua
Very low end
John

Margaret
For the money the motel was great. Free Breakfast was super! I think for us the only problem was no elevator and they put us on the 2nd floor. Also, it was very confusing to get to our room. They are renovating the building, and we sort of got lost getting to our room. We took a wrong turn, and ended up in a construction area of the building. Our fault, but with all that was going on, they probably should have taken us up to our room.

When we arrived to check in there was no one even there to check us in. We had to wait until someone showed up. We were on the second floor and no elevator. When we got in the room the bed spread was stained. Attempted to call the desk to replace it and the phone was not working. I’m sure we will never stay here again. Dirty doesn’t even cover it

Wish the bathrooms were handicap accessible. They are very small and couldn't get to the toilet with a walker.
Wade
The faucet in the bathtub was hard to work. The outlet in the bathroom didn't work. The hotel in general smelled of cigarette smoke. The noise from rhe bar was too loud as we could hear it in our room. Noise in general was disturbing.
Gwilym
Parking spaces taken up by wagons.
Helena
Very good
Brian
The staff was nice. The building condition is just average. Smell of cigarette and marijuana smoke in the halls seems to be the norm now with this level of hotel.

The carpets in the rooms were tragic, my baby crawled for 30 minutes and had black clothes and hands. It smelled of dampness, not sure why…maybe because it’s older hotel? The hotel has a bar and it was loud at night, with people walking around and talking. Also police arrested someone at the bar at night. Didn’t feel safe there with my kids. The only thing that saved this rating is top notch breakfast, a little bit of everything for kids or adults who want to eat healthy.
Raimonda
Amazing place and great breakfast far better than holiday inn 7stars
Jennifer
My elderly mother-in-law was with us and they allowed us to switch floors so she didn't have to climb the stairs. The staff is great!
Stuart
Clean and easy check-in. Friendly staff. Could use a mattress upgrade but over all we were pleased and satisfied.
Ana
No elevator and my husband is hadicap
Amy
Very disappointing, especially for the price. Extremely smelly (smoky), pub was directly below/outside room and very loud. Shower pressure was terrible and went in and out. Hotel seemed sketchy since they asked for my whole family’s names to put on list and had to give me a parking pass. No other hotel has done that. We skipped the free breakfast since the whole place seemed dirty. The staff was very nice, but that doesn’t make up for the rest of the experience.
Diane L
Outdated property
The property is very outdated. Our room was supposed to be a smoke free, it was obvious someone had smoked in there. It was in the carpet and bedding. BTW the bedding was stained. We went out and got some air freshners to make it smell better. We paid too much for the condition of the property. Put some money in and update!
Elizabeth
We stopped during our roadtrip back home from a family vacation. Staff was very nice, room was clean, and breakfast was great!
Elizabeth
I would love a refund
They had a wedding part there. My room was beside the pool. They allowed them to stay and party at the pool (outdoor right beside my window) until 12. bride and her family got into fights in the hall at 3am waking up everyone. Police had to be called numerous times. Finally at 4 am they was kicked out!
Jodie
Nice Good rooms and checkin
Jessica
Terrific property, super nice staff and very convenient. We enjoyed our stay!
James
It was all good. i would stay here again .

Good experience with pet friendly.
Michelle
We were charged a fee for having an 8 week old yorkie when people bringing a great dane got the same fee. We travelled to Chillicothe to pick up the puppy we had just adopted. We also had a shower that had hot water for 5 minutes and then it was ice cold for 5 minutes then scalding hot for 5 minutes then ice cold again. Terrible! There was no adjusting it. We only used thar shower once while we were there because it was that bad. And the whole room smelled musty! We could barely stand the smell. Maybe had something to do with the dehumidifier running in the hallway
Karen
Very convenient and nice place to stay. Close to the highway and restaurants
Karen
Close to a Restaurant. Bar on premises and breakfast!
Ben
The room appeared to be clean. The sheets were clean and smelled faintly of bleach. Water pressure in the shower was good. The breakfast offerings were adequate. The problem was the humidity inside our room. The carpet felt wet, as did the bathroom tile. The air was thick and humid and very uncomfortable. The air conditioning did nothing to help. I couldn’t keep from imagining mold growing under the carpet. It was impossible to sleep because of the stale, humid air. There were dehumidifiers running in the hallways. They should have put one in each guest room.
Alison
Spend one night here after seeing the Tecumseh show. It's an older building, but well-maintained with nice staff, a sparkling clean outdoor pool, and good breakfast. Would stay again.
Wes
It was expensive for the quality of the hotel..
Kalen
Pro: Staff were very friendly. Plenty of shopping and dining nearby, breakfast options were standard, we didn’t use the the pool but it looked nice
Con: traffic on the main road going into town is horrible so if you don’t eat at a place within walking distance be prepared for a slow trek to anywhere else. The hallway we were in smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. The room fortunately didn’t smell so bad but the hallway was bad.
The place could definitely use some updating but worked fine for a place to sleep for a few hours.

Breakfast was great, check in process was cumbersome. Staff was not overly friendly.
Anita
Both front desk staff and both breakfast staff we encountered were very nice and helpful. Only issue we had a second floor room with no elevator, difficult for seniors with luggage.

Not very clean. While inspecting room found dirty socks under mattress.
John
Great staff and breakfast, needs to be no smoking!
This hotel had the absolutely friendliest staff of anyplace I’ve stayed. Breakfast was outstanding! However, the facility still has smoking rooms, on the first floor, which no amount of cleaning can disguise. Thus the down grade. Staff said their major upgrade is scheduled for Fall 2025, which will end the smoking room situation. If they keep the same staff, I’d stay here again, for sure.
Melody
Very Nice
Amy
The staff here are exceptionally nice and helpful. Barbie is a gem! The motel is convenient to travel, right off the highway. For one night, this is a decent choice. The downside is the motel itself. The carpet needs to be replaced. The mustiness of our room set off my husband's asthma. And we had a challenging time closing and locking the window which made me nervous at night. The breakfast is good and we can't say enough good things about the staff. If you have lung issues, I don't recommend.
Philip
Its clean. Friendly staff.
Gary
Nice property
Older property which appeared to be well kept. Walking distance to multiple restaurants. Above average hotel breakfast.
DAna
Average hotel. Staff very friendly, clean rooms. Beds uncomfortable. Quiet despite being near interstate. Breakfast was very good! Coffee good. Still a little expensive for the type, stairs to climb to second floor, and worn carpets in hallway.
James
