Fabulous stay in Paris <3

Fabulous stay! Lovely, friendly hosts, very easy check-in and out, the bedroom was very clean and comfortable, brilliant shower, great location even though a little bit further out of central Paris, enjoyed walking round and exploring the local area. Lovely hotel that is very close to the Metro Line 4 and also the Tramway T3a. Room was a nice size for Paris bathroom was small but was adequate. Bars and takeaways are close to hotel with one restaurant attached and lots within walking distance. No it’s not central to Paris so you will have to make use of the excellent Metro. Overall it’s certainly a hotel that I wouldn’t hesitate to use again or recommend if it suits your budget.

The room and bathroom were spotless and we were able to sleep comfortably. My daughter is doing a semester abroad and I found the Tram easy to take to Cite Universite campus. (two stops away). The front desk staff was always helpful and courteous and all spoke english.

Welcoming friendly staff- accomodated early check in, and took our email requests in considération. My room was perfect… our second room had issues with AC…. But mine was lovely. Hotel is location in practical… of course it is overpriced … Paris… olympics…August… but it was practical.

Outstanding for a 2 star hotel, the guys on reception were very accommodating, very lingual, and always willing to help!
The room is small, but has all you need, the shower is quite small, so if you’re a larger person, i wouldn’t recommend, as it’s quite a squeeze in there.
We had no issues with bed bugs, despite the ongoing ‘crisis’ paris is supposed to be in. The bed was very comfortable extra pillows if necessary, we had good access to sport on TV, like formula 1, Ligue 1 and the BPL.

The room is cleaned daily, which was a nice surprise, check in and check outs were good times. The metro line is just outside and takes about 10-20 minutes to reach the centre of paris. But be careful with the metro line, as it’s under works, so on some days the metro 4 is closed at this station. However there are buses and Trams, but are less direct.

Hard to believe this was only a 2 star hotel, small, but efficient, the area seems okay, there’s a fair amount of homeless and possibly dangerous people, but the exit of the metro is a 20m walk to the hotel, so you make a b-line for the hotel and speak to no one, if you’re worried about being not in the center of paris

My partner and I were very pleased with the hotel. Our room was clean and tidy and the bed is very comfortable. We slept with the widow open because it was a very hot summer day and we didn’t wake up with any noise, it was very quiet and peaceful. The staff were all incredibly kind. I will definitely be coming back!

Rooms are well located on major avenues with metro and bus steps away. Rooms were small but well stocked and very clean.
The bathroom was very clean but RV sized. Its small but water pressure and heat wrre excellewnt so size can be overlooked. Extra pillows andd blankets in wardrobe as well.
Both day and nught service persons were very helpful. Skipped the breakfast option as a fresh bakery was across the street

The hotel feont desk staff were extremely helpful. The rooms are perfectly cleaned each day and the hotel is located steps from the metro. There are restaurants and a large grocery store nearby and I felt very safe here. The only drawback is that there is no air-conditioning but unless you are here during a rare heatwave the fans in the rooms are sufficient.

Great value with small inconveniences

I've traveled to Paris on business and pleasure for 20 years and stayed in 35 or 40 different hotels during that time. Hotel Terminus is one of the nicer two-star hotels. The room and common areas were very clean. The hotel is literally 5 meters from the Porte d'Orleans metro (line 4) entrance, making it very convenient. WiFi worked well and consistently; the only small issue was that two devices cannot be connected for the same user simultaneously. One must be logged off and the other logged on. The room that I booked (lowest category) had two inconveniences: a tiny bathroom in which the toilet blocked half the shower and made it uncomfortable to get in and out; a very short padded stool in place of a desk chair that was not at all comfortable. The shower would likely not be a problem if booking a larger, more expensive room. If you're traveling during summer, be aware that the hotel has no air conditioning. However, a small tabletop fan was provided in the room and was much appreciated since it was hot (85 F / 30 C). Also be aware that you will be asked to pay the local Paris city lodging tax (in French, la taxe de sejour) of 1,13 euros at check in, even if your room is prepaid through the booking website. This is not a scam; all hotels in Paris are required to collect this tax.

Had a lovely stay at the hotel! The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. The room was spotless and a brilliant size for two people. Good location too as the metro is just meters away. Also, they helped us organise a mini bus to the airport which was much easier than the metro. Would definitely recommend.

Really good for the price—but a few odd quirks

No complaints—especially for the price! The room was clean (and I'm VERY picky), the staff is helpful and multilingual, and the location is amazing. Though not within walking distance of the more touristy sights, it's right on the Metro and tram—under 30 minutes from Gare du Nord, and there are a bunch of very \"authentic\"/tourist-free neighborhoods nearby. A few quirks: THERE IS NO AC (it was fine in October, and there's a nice breeze in courtyard rooms), it's a European-style \"leave your key with the front desk\" kind of place where the keys get reused between guests, and there's a weird \"no food in the room\" rule, which makes it hard to enjoy a dinner of bread, cheese, and wine from one of the nearby stores. The small elevator is not accessible, and there's some noise from neighbors' doors slamming. Also, the check-in clerk used the phrase \"so you just have to prepay for breakfast and city taxes now\" as if I didn't have a choice to decline the breakfast. I did decline it, because I was in Paris—why would I eat a hotel breakfast?—and he didn't make a fuss, but it felt more like an upsell (\"what can I get you for an appetizer?\") than a linguistic quirk. That might sound like a lot of negatives, but the hotel is a seriously great value, and much more predictable (and better for the local housing market) than an AirBnB.

The location is very far from the center of Paris, but very close to a metro station.
Very small room, tiny bathroom, tiny elevator. Thin walls, when there is noise in corridor, it can be heard very well inside the room.
The bed is small and not comfortable, they give you only 1 blanket for two people. I asked for second blanket, but it wasn't available.
No AC in the room, need to open window at night.
However, the room was clean and tidy, the cleaning stuff did their job every day, the clerks at the reception desk were very nice and helpful.

Overall, it's a good cheap motel for 1 person who doesn't mind to live far from center. If you are a couple, who used to more comfortable conditions and don't like to be stuck in the metro everyday, I suggest finding something better and closer to center of the city.

Couldn't fault the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and polite. The room was noisy in the evening as we were directly above the bar next door but it quietened at 12.30 so not too late. The metro was right outside and is a direct line for gare du nord and Chatelet. I would be happy to stay here again.

There was a Smarties type thing by the side of the wardrobe when we arrived and was still there 3 days later. Wifi was annoying as could only use one device at a time but i needed to use two. Breakfast seemed expensive so we didn't have onsite.

Our stay was very pleasent. The hotel has great staff, very helpful. We arrived early and they were very helpful with luggage and arranged transportation to CDG airport for our last day.
The hotel is literally steps from metro stop, bus stations and tram stations. It could not be better. It is 20-30 minutes from main city landmarks.

First, this hotel is located at a transit hub. There are light rail, metro, and buses around. It only takes you 5 minutes at most to get into the transit. Also, there are lots of restaurants and stores around.
Second, the hotel staff is super friendly, helpful, and speaks good English.
Third, the room I stayed was quiet, although the washroom was a bit too small. However, there was no air conditioning in the room. I didn't feel too cold or too hot anyway.

Lovely place to stay in Paris

My family and I stayed at Terminus Orleans over Easter break for our first trip to Paris. The location is conveniently located next to the subway with a variety of places to eat within walking distance. The neighborhood is clean and we felt safe walking night and day.
The hotel is well staffed with friendly and helpful personnel. The rooms were updated and very comfortable. Thank you especially to Riad and Kevin for attention with answering our questions before and during our stay.

Stayed here for 6 days. Location of hotel was right in front of the Metro, so getting anywhere in Paris is reachable! Hotel room seemed to have been renovated within the past few years so it was nice. Yes rooms are small, but for the price you are not going to find anything bigger. Didn't have the breakfast that was offered, but there are plenty of coffee shops and places to grab food (fast food and sit-down) nearby. Would have no issue going back to stay. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. And yes, the elevator is small!! but it is expected as it was obviously added after the building was built.

I travelled alone so I didn’t need a big room. The hotel was perfect for me: clean , comfortable, even elegant I could say. If you don’t mind 25-30 minutes by subway to get to Louvre or Tour Eiffel the place is very attractive. The station is right at the hotel’s entrance. Staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast for 6 Euros is simple but gets you going and is served promptly by a very nice lady. Good value overall.

Exhausted but happy stay in Paris

Very exciting. Paris is a beautiful city, very vibrant with amazing buildings. We visited many of the unusual places having seen all the popular touristy attractions during our previous stay. Hotel Terminus Orleans, just inside the peripherique, was easy to find on arrival. Near a metro it was quick to the city centre. Love the trams which run along the south of the city.

Wonderful hotel for a super price!

We had a wonderful stay here. The room was very comfortable, very clean, and the hotel is less than 1/2 block to the Metro stop. The desk people were wonderful and so friendly. And they let us leave our bags there for a while after check-out so that we didn't have to leave for the airport so early. We would definitely stay there on a future trip to Paris and would recommend them to anyone.

This is a very nice hotel in the 14th, just inside the Périphérique. ThePorte d'Orleans metro station is steps from the front door. The Vanves flea market is walking distance.
The room is recently upgraded. Beds and pillows are comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We visited Paris with my 17 years old son for the first time. Location was the most important factor for us.We only used our room to shower and rest after long days in town. The shower was running out of hot water after first person took shower.There is no air conditioning, only a little fan in the room.We had to keep balcony door open all night. Room was located on the busy street side, so we had to deal with the streat noise. the room was very clean and serviced dayly. Very friendly and helpful clerks. There is no coffee maker/microvawe/fridge in the room. Located right next to Metro station, easy to find and comute, close to all famous touristy places in Paris and easy to get from and to CDG airport.

Hotel Terminus Orleans is exactly what you would expect from a two star hotel condition and comfort wise but the management make it much more. From the very first day they were courteous, helpful and keen to talk to us and solve whatever little problems or queries we might have. From helping with replacing a fan on day one to delivering a free tea at the end of a long a tiring day in Paris to printing out tickets to Versailles for us (again for free and with no hassles) to guiding us to reach to Versailles and storing our luggage on last day they did everything with a smile and highest level of courteousness. The location is a peach since its just at the mouth of Port d' Orleans metro stop thus making it very easy to get to anywhere from here. There's a subway sandwich shop, a grocery store, quite a few cafes, bakeries and many other things you would want from a short stay. The room itself is very basic, small and a bit crampy, but its clean, the mattress is very nice and you can get a nice breeze if you open the windows and the fan helps the matters along. I would surely recommend this and would certainly be first on my preference list if I ever go back to Paris.

Excellent location for a stay in Paris

Hotel Terminus is in an excellent location due to its proximity to the metro station. It is right at the edge of Paris but the metro can connect you to almost everywhere. Riad was at the reception and he was excellent! The room is small but very clean! The only thing about Hotel Terminus is that it does not have AC. We were caught in the Paris hot weather for a day!

The hotel is modest and budget friendly and the rooms are adequate. There is a lift which is handy. The breakfast is good value given the alternatives in the neighbourhood.

Great value - very friendly staff

Located super close (think 10-20 metres) to an entrance of Porte D'orleans Metro stop (4 line). We found this hotel super convenient. It took about 25 minutes to get into Our room on the 3rd floor had excellent pipe heating (nice warm towels from a towel rack - love it!) while opening the windows in either the bathroom or the room brought in lots of fresh air.

The cleaning staff was so friendly that when we left a bottle of wine in the room (it was a gift), they actually left two more cups on the bottle.

We stayed 5 nights and I would totally book it again if they had rooms available.

The only caveats I would mention:
- elevator is not the biggest (3 people 225kg max). It fit my GF and I with luggage but we chose to take the stairs most of the time otherwise.
- toilet paper was not the softest.

charming small room hotel in Porte de Orleans pari

hotel staff and location is perfect, just in front is the tram T3 which is very good for going to porte de Versailles or to go to take the RER B the airport (from Cite tram station), rooms very small and if you have luggage then impossible to move inside the room , only 1 very small lift which only 1 person can fit and if you have luggage then becomes difficult, breakfast is expensive 8 euros and they give you only bread, 1 orange juice, tea/cofee and 1 yogurt (so not worth) but front staff at any point of time very nice and helpful , if you plan to travel with family then this is not suitable but if alone and for business in south side of paris then the hotel is good.

Too noisy

So much noise from doors banging shut (the doors are hard to shut), noisy elevators and people walking down the stairs.
Especially noisy near the lifts.

I've stayed here two times - never again.

Good but small rooms

Pros:
1. Convenient to Metro
2. Clean and comfortable rooms
3. Very good service
4. Large screen tv

Cons:
1. Small rooms (typical of cheaper European city hotels)
2. Noisy (could hear every coming and going in the hallway) - lack of a simple sound-reduction strategy (had to wear earplugs one night).

Great Trip

The staff were by far the best part of the hotel. They helped us with anything we needed. Overall the hotel was clean comfortable and was much better than the photos. Would recommend!
