The  SAINT GEORGE PALACE is  in the traditional Saint George of Pagi village on the north part of Corfu , in an idyllic peaceful beach  location on the  coast of Corfu.   The Hotel is a new built palace with modern and design touches in the middle     of gardens, olive groves and wild vegetation. The Hotel offers two swimming pools( a normal and one small for children).

Nice hotel and clean. Quite a bit out of the main town so if you dont have a car its a long walk there / back. Rooms were very loud, could hear people talking all night and hear doors banginfg etc. Also our room on the second floor had a constant whirring noise like from a large pipe or boiler or something. MAde it hard to sleep , that and the uncomfy beds & pillows

Overall, it was good

It was pretty good. On the upside, The room was clean, the staff was nice and responsive, the view from the window was great, there was a pool and a jacuzzi which were good.
On the downside - the mattresses were not very comfort and the resturant quality was somewhat below average (maybe because we were in the offseason, but still).

The location at the edge of Bansko is nice and quiet with nature all around. The only down side is that the walls have no soundproofing so you can hear your neighbours conversations quite clearly.

We really enjoyed staying at Saint George’s Palace. The reception staff were so friendly and welcoming. Great swimming pool and spa area. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Great to have shuttle bus to gondola.

Poor and a disappointing Stay

Except the rooms was enough big for a 5 people family, the rest was poor. The bed quality was terrible. The breakfast was poor, the spa especially the pool was too bad. There was a bug in the room. The tv was not working well. The water and the inside of the spa area was too cold. The jakuzi was not working properly and it was too small. The swimming time ends too early for a skiing place. I would way, ı would not prefer to stay there again.

We had a room with a Beautiful balcony, looking up at the mountains. Fresh Mountain air, loved the peace and quiet. Excellent buffet breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. The room finishes were not new But very adequate. We just loved our stay! And we discovered the white van that takes you to the Vihren Hut Is only a five minute walk so that was perfect! Alain all we really enjoyed our stay.

Overall very good hotel,as usual for Bulgaria the roads and area is not finished. Doesnot have Air-conditioning as expected in mountains, but in hot weather is impossible to cool,especially on upper floors. Simple resolution would be portable Air-conditioning units to be rented if needed for extra cost

The staff are amazing and helpful in all areas. Some areas Of the hotel need updating, our 2 bed apartment had bugs inside and wasn’t cleaned properly. The daily cleaning involved making beds and taking rubbish out, but not even mopping/brushing. The spa area is good, but the chlorine smell was quite strong. Food average, with enough to chose and tasty, but nothing special. Shuttle is adequate and Free. It is a bit further out of town, so check your maps before booking!
Overall good hotel with some areas needing improvement.

Perfect location and excellent hotel for spring vi

Excellent apartment. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food in restaurant was delicious and very good value.
Swimming pool and leisure facilities were excellent and very clean.
Hotel is in fantastic location with walking and bird watching on the doorstep.

Great place and location

Great location, right near the main road into town - just a short walk. Rooms were clean, but simple exactly as expected. We didn't use many of the facilities, so can't comment on the pool etc - they looked nice enough. If I had a single complaint it was that breakfast food was always cool and not hot.

We were a party of five ladies and absolutely enjoyed our stay. The staff was super friendly and the apartment was great. Make sure you book a massage appointment. I got a deep tissue massage and absolutely loved it. And the view from our apartment was breathtaking. The hotel also offers free of charge activities, such as Yoga/Pilates and morning hikes and we took advantage of them. I highly recommend this hotel.

St. George Palace Bansko

Great place, as usual. Location is great, out of the village, in the forrest. Big and spacious rooms, we had big balcony overlooking the mountain, there was not many people, the pool was great, clean, the jacuzzi had few rusty nails that could be a lawsuit waiting to happen. Other than that, I will comd back.

Very spacious. modern clean room, but sparsely furnished. Some comfortable chairs or a sofa to sit on would have been good - There's plenty of room for them! The bed was large, but very hard. It's in a very quiet location at the south end of town. The road access is unfinished, so quite rough. Breakfast was excellent - Couldn't fault it.

The property was as described on the website. It was clean, spacious and more than adequate for our needs.
It’s a fair walk up the hill each night after a full day skiing but it felt worth it as the location is more peaceful than many of the Bansko hotels.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
The only one issue we had was that the breakfast although it looked incredible was cold. Perhaps there was an issue on the one day we went.
Overall we’d stay here again.

Pool area is very nice and the restaurent - especially when you order a la carte - will show you the quality of bulgarian cuisine.
In general a nice place but make sure you get the proper room with some nicer furniture and equipment. Location is very good and view from some rooms as well beautiful.

I place to stay, not overcrowded and well in shape. so far. But I hope that the owner will pay attention and efforts to repairs and improve what needs to be improved.

Very nice place good restaurant rooms first class. Spa was very good welcome after a day on the slopes. Staff friendly and helpful if you treat them with respect. Breakfast worth including in your package. It's a little out of town and a tough walk after dark so make sure you keep some money for a taxi at the end of the night.

This was a pretty, clean well-equipped hotel. The food was nice and good-value. The location was reasonably pretty with good views on a clear day. Lovely ski rental shop. However, we were very let down by the poor communication and customer relations of the front desk staff. The shuttle bus is essential for getting to and from the gondola and on several occasions we were unable to access it - either because it turned up late or did not run. In either event there was no communication so we were left waiting around unsure of what was happening. Likewise a whole-day power cut and lack of tap water affected the hotel - clearly not the fault of the staff- but we had absolutely no communication from staff about what was happening. When I mentioned our disappointment they the receptionist spoke to me as if I was stupid and denied there was a problem.
I would not risk going here with my kids as the failure to provide shuttle bus would make it v difficult as it would be a long walk for them back from the gondola.

St George Palace is not a palace at all but a place where properly owned apartments are rented out.
For the price Expedia is asking per night, the room is unacceptable and doesn’t meet any 4 star level.
Pool, kitchen and location are okay.
Rooms are a shame. Infect like in a hospital room. Simplest stuff, no decoration, nothing to make you welcome and feeling warm.

A shame to use the word palace.

The best thing about the hotel is the pool and gym area.The room it self was basic and clean,but did had little spider webs in the corners.There is a heating in the room if you want to use it,so that was good.There is catle for coffe in the room and a small but nice kitchenet.The tv is a bit small,but has a very nice choice of cable canels.We had a nice stay and would come back sometime.

It was a great location for trips. The rooms were great. We staied in a two bed rooms and a living room. The beds at the children room wasn't confartable. The restaurant of the hotel was great. Each the breakfast and the dinner were fantastic. We enjoyed our stay and we recommend it very much.

Spa was lovely, the gym had a punching bag and a tatami which makes it even better. The room was alright but the card system they use is quite noisy. Breakfast was marvelous, everything you might need - you will be impressed with the honey. Check in took a bit longer but apart from that, excellent value for money, we had a lovely time.

Your pick for a hiking trip and to relax after

Nice 3 night stay in a studio double room. The hotel restaurant is recommendable. The pool area is the heart of the building, amenitites include a gym, sauna, rainfall showers and a steam bath. The complex is fairly new and thus well maintained, the entrance is splendid. Our off season stay did not offer the full service though. Overall, the hotel does not quite satisfy the clientele it aims to attract. Be aware that the standard in Bulgaria is lower than in Western Europe. The location at the top edge of the slightly overambitious town of Bansko is excellent for hiking since the start of the trails is literally around the corner, but the walk to town is 2km. During off season, value for money here.

Good hotel, thin walls

We enjoyed our stay, the staff were friendly, the room was big and clean. The issue was how thin the walls are. We could hear someone snoring in the next room and were woken up almost every morning by someone in the corridor. The pool is a nice addition, though it's pretty cold and was busy during our stay. The driver was great, really helpful in getting to and from the gondola as it's a long walk! I'd recommend this place more for a family than a couple. Whatever you do don't order food here or a cocktail though, the mojito was lime green and had lemons in it and the cosmos are made with blackcurrant juice - bizarre!

Great hotel, no problems during a weeks stay. Clean, spacious apartment and fantastic spa facilities. About 15 mins walk to centre of town/gondola - there is a bus that goes up and down regularly but we enjoyed the walk.

Nice hotel, just a little too far out!

The hotel is very nice, it has a modern lobby area and two bars although due to us visiting during the summer months, these were not well used - possible different in the winter?!
the spa facilities are good, it has a large swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.
Most importantly the room was well furnished, modern, clean, spacious and comfy, although the kitchen is not well equipped, if you want to cater for yourself!
The downside is the location, although I realise that the competitive prices reflect this.
The hotel is a good 15 min walk to the gondola station and then a further 15 mins to the end of Pirin Street. The walk home is uphill, the roads are not well paved and in parts, it is not well lit and torch is necessary.
On the upside the hotel is well located for walks as it is at the foot of the mountain!
We did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the food although it seemed reasonably priced.
All staff that we came into contact with were pleasant and polite.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, although if I were to return to Bansko I would investigate hotels closer to the gondola station, but I wouldn't rule St George out.

Brilliant staff and good value

We arrived in Bansko in June to find a deserted and unappealing town. However we were pleased with the quality and location of this hotel. Apartments were large and well kept although lacking in the necessary things to self cater well. Spa area was lovely and great after a day hiking. Breakfast was poor however and needs improvement. Pre packed jam and honey in a country that offers such fantastic homemade products is not really acceptable nor is terrible coffee from a machine and inferior juice. The stars of the show were the entire front desk team who were excellent at all times.
Out of season the hotel offers good value in a quiet location and is near to the road leading to the hiking trails.

Perfect location, horrible! and expensive food

Location is perfect and view is amazing but restaurant needs a chef who knows how to cook. Stayed for 3 nights and first night we ordered burgers and the meat was pink in the middle. Second night chose open buffet for dinner and all the food was cold, including the soup. Third night ordered the most expensive food on the menu x3, t-bone steak and for some reason our steaks had one little piece of bone (questionable T-bone steak), also ordered pizza which came an hour after the steaks so other person waited and the pizza was burnt all over, so that person instead ordered chicken skewers, which came wrapped in bacon (menu did not mention bacon, we dont eat pork) and they said ooh sorry translation disnt include the full description. When we complained about food in general the servers said their reataurant is not very good.
Hotel staff needs to at least know English, in my opinion, was very hard trying to order room service or tell room cleaning that we needed pillows.
Pool and gym opens at 0900 which is unsuitable since the rides and shuttle arrive/open at 0800 for winter season. So u have to decide that day if u want to go skiing/snowboarding or go to gym or pool. Yes, it closes at 8 and u can go later but aftet an exhausting day who would have the energy for gym?
Overall it was an okay stay. Food was horrible, 0/10. Location 10/10. Staff 8/10, facilities and room 7/10

Good overall stay

Overall the experience was fine. The only issue we had was with the water draining from the shower. Many Bulgarian hotels have drains in the floor for overflow but this one didn't seem to work efficiently.

Breakfast starts too late at 7.30 - if you are not at the gondola before 8.30 when it opens there will be a long que. we ended up rushing breakfast most days in order to get on the 8.00 free shuttle to the gondola
Location - a good 15 minute walk to the top of town (first restaurants and bars), although you can ski back relatively close to the hotel and taxis are easy to come by when coming back from town in the evening
