I loved this room, with the great view of the Duomo. Room was clean and well tended every day. Very quiet. Each room is named after a famous artist, such as Michelangelo and Raffaello and Piero della Francesca.
The breakfast was outstanding, with cold cuts and cheese, cereal, eggs if you wanted them, pastries and bread, lots of fresh fruit. Plus cafe of any kind, in an attractive room with helpful staff.

Property is very old, the elevator is extremely small and slow and takes forever to get to your floor. We ended up taking the 3 stories of stairs to get to our room. Very basic in the rooms, not luxury at all however they were clean and had all the basics you would need. Lobby is very basic as well.

The location is great. The room is quiet. The staffs are friendly. However, the elevator is tiny and slow. The toilet and sink in the bathroom are way too high. There is no bidet in the bathroom. Even so, its price is very reasonable for its location. If I ever visit Florence again, I might consider booking this hotel again.

The location is great, walking from train station, few minutes you are at Duomo, Lorenzo and easy to take buses everywhere. The breakfast was incredible. Mostly, so quiet, the windows are really sound proof. My husband is a light sleeper and hard of walking, they have a small elevator too. I highly recommended for anyone.

The hotel was well maintained. The room was a good size with a large bathroom. It was HOT though. We had the air conditioner turned as far down as it would go and it still didn’t cool down. It was much cooler outside than in the building. The breakfast was good. The staff in all areas were really friendly and helpful. It was a great location near the main square. We would definitely stay here again but maybe with a fan!

The room appeared to be newly renovated. It was nice especially the bathroom. The central air conditioning system was the issue during my stay. It was not running most times of the day and it made the room very hot and stuffy. I addressed this with front desk and all they said was they will restart the AC in my room to no avail.

When you politely said that if the alarm didn't sound in the room, it isn't a problem, then front desktop repeated that according to their information, it's worked.

The hotel is in a great area. Center and close to main attractions, restaurants, shops, etc... And yet tucked in a quiet road we didn’t hear anything. It’s like a minute walk to the duomo and enjoyed the area very much. Someone played music every day we were on the area.

DISAPPOINTING CUSTOMER SERVICE
The location of the hotel is perfect and it's a lovely lobby. However, when we got into the room, it was excessively hot. We thought it just needed time for the AC to kick in. After an hour with no change, we called the desk and they assured us it was fine and they could control it from their end. I stressed to them that I suffer from SEVERE asthma and the heat was going to trigger that and make me sick. They said they understood and the AC would be on \"shortly.\" A few hours later and nothing changed. When I went to talk to the front desk again, by this time it was the night staff who said oh the AC is broken in our room and they did not have another room to move us to, but they gave us a fan. I was so sick from the heat and my asthma. We were only staying one night. When i went to check out the next day, i was SHOCKED that they did not even offer to give a reduction or anything. When i asked them about it, they seemed suprised and said they needed to speak to the manager. 30 minutes later they did come back with 30%. While it was appreciated, the whole ordeal was really dangerous to my health and disappointing about their seemingly lack of care.

Great location. Very central to everything; restaurants, The Duomo, shopping, museums etc. The room we stayed in had a huge bathroom, very clean and the staff were helpful and wonderful. The only critique would be every time you leave your room, the air conditioning turns off (need your key in the room for it to run and you only get 1 key) and takes a bit for it to cool down again (we travelled in August during a heat wave).

Perfect location! The front desk staff was very friendly and provided excellent service, especially Myrna and her colleague during breakfast. My only disappointment was that the a/c in the room was not working. When you are walking around the city in a 100 degree weather, you want to get to a room that does not make you sweat more than being outside. I sweat even after showering and while sleeping. The non-working a/c in the room was the only downfall during my visit to Florence.

The hotel and all the staff was excellent. I'd definitely recommend staying. The standard double room wasn't large but felt lovely and the high ceilings made it feel special. The decor was clean and updated although as the internal ensuite bathroom had a non functional fan I've marked it down a little. Our room's window looked out to a back street with an ok city scape that was only spoilt by the ubiquitous air conditioning sounds. Annoying!

Hotel is pretty conveniently located across the train station and only a 10 min train ride from Venice. Despite being so close to the train station, the hotel wasn’t noisy at all. The main problem with this hotel is that for my entire two night stay here there was no air conditioning in the room at all. When I mentioned this to the front desk staff, they just said that it was a hotel wide problem and no rooms had air conditioning throughout the hotel. No mention of when this problem was going to be fixed or if it was being looked into at all. Also, the floor we stayed in, the entire hallway reeked of cigarette smell. Definitely wouldn’t recommend…

Beautiful Hotel in the Heart of Florence
I love this hotel, the location is perfect and the view from our room was lovely. The rooms are grand and have wonderful high ceilings, and the whole place is very grand old Florence. The buffet breakfast provided every morning is beautiful and the staff at breakfast are so delightful, welcoming and kind.
The lift is very tiny and as I don't like small spaces I walked up the grand stairs every day. Bella!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Trip was booked in a hurry and was not really sure what to expect. Staff were welcoming and professional. Location was superb and close to the Duomo and near everything. Breakfast was just great, with fresh food, Cappuccinos and incredible variety. Rooms were serviced daily and well. Highly recommended!
