Fantastic stay

Very very clean rooms. Great breakfast and light lunch - both included. On riverfront with great view of sunset. No insects despite Kasane being full of bugs. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Amazing 3 nights at this hotel. Firstly greeted by Shingi at reception who told us everything we needed to know, and also pre-booked transfers for us by e mail in advance.
Rooms are really nice, comfortable & clean. Showers are great considering the location.
Communal dining in the evening is a great way to meet new friends and share experiences.
Breakfast was included after the game drive , dinner was extra but very good value.
Both the Game Drive & Boat Cruise are amazing and a great opportunity to see Lions, Elephants, Hippo, Buffalo , Crocs & Giraffe. You will not believe how close the guide (thank you Mathew) will get you.
In summary, this was an excellent lodge and exceptionally pleased we chose this place.

The warmest, friendliest lodge/hotel staff we have ever met at any place we've ever stayed and we've travelled all over the world. Everyone was so friendly and it made our stay absolutely perfect. Service was also 10 out of 10! To all the staff at River View Lodge, don't change a thing in how you do things or treat your guests. You are already doing what ever lodge and hotel around the world should be doing. You were a very big part of what made our trip to Botswana so special and we will always remember you.

Before we arrived we were worried about where we would eat every night and didn't want to be stuck having to eating at the lodge if the food wasn't good. We were so impressed with the chef's food the first night we didn't even consider trying to leave the property for food. Every day we were very impressed with the food offerings and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our visit to Botswana. Absolutely delicious food at the lodge! The chef and baker are exceptionally good at what they do!

Lastly, we want to thank the other person that made our safari trip in Botswana a 10/10 experience. Matthews is an exceptionally knowledgeable guide and we loved exploring the park with him everyday. Matthews, thank you so much for the incredible memories you have given us! Every day that passed we enjoyed our game drives and sunset cruises with you more and more!

For a smaller lodge with a more intimate experience don't hesitate to book your stay at River View Lodge.

I absolutely loved staying at the River View Lodge. The staff is amazing and SO helpful. The lodge itself is small but very lovely - right on the river,with a nice outdoor lounge area and small pool. The food was great and so much better than I expected for a place its size. Aside from the awesome staff, the best part are the activities offered. On the morning game drive we saw lions, leopards, zebras, and much more. The late afternoon river cruises were relaxing and exciting at the same time, with great views of hippos, crocs, and of course, lots of elephants. I strongly recommend staying here and taking advantage of the wonderful property and activities.

Great small resort

River View is a small resort which offers sn all inclusive experience. The rooms are clean, modern and very spacious. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious. There are cooked options for breakfast, a complimentary serve yourself lunch as dinner with two main options. On one of our nights we had a barbeque. They have their own arranged boat safari in the afternoon and early morning game drives. I would definitely recommend River View in Kasane.

We stayed 4 nights in the deluxe chalet. From here, we covered both Chobe and Victoria Falls easily. The activities and excursions put on by the lodge were excellent. Food was great, as was the service. Reasonably priced for the area. We would definitely stay again.

Enjoyed that it was a smaller place, set in a beautiful location on the river and away from the big “mass market lodges.” Everyone gets a “cabin.” Staff is very friendly and helpful. Game drives and river cruises were delightful, informative and packed with animals. Downside: breakfast usually the same, Internet very poor, and the power frequently goes out for 1-3 hours.

Wonderful family Safari - would stay again

We stayed at the Lodge for 3 nights in a family room for 3 adults. We struggled to find the location, however once we arrived the hospitality was wonderful. We were shown around the complex, which consists of a restaurant, bar, open lounge area and swimming pool. The room itself was a good size with ample space. The cleanliness was good and the decor good for the location. The bathroom could do with some modernisation, especially the shower tap. The breakfast was always a great start to the day with plenty of Continental and hot food options. The evenings meals were from set menus that changed every night, these were a good portion and always great quality. The pool area had lots of space to lounge around, even when the hotel was full. Again, there was always staff nearby to assist with any needs. We also appreciated the free ironing service. The morning game safari organised by the hotel was lovely (although cold/windy in the vehicle due to the nature of the very large safari vehicle) and we saw some amazing animals, including lots of Elephant, Zebra, Giraffe, Lion. However, this is dependent on the day you visit the Chobe Park, I guess we were lucky to see Lions (as it was off/wet season). The transfers to Livingstone airport were organised by the hotel for $60 pp (prices can vary - check with hotel), again a good journey and ample of space in the vehicle. The only issue was on checkout when different $ conversion rates were applied but rectified after I identified.

Great lodge by the Chobe river-side. Very good service in general, and the offerings in terms of game drives and boat cruises were excellent. Very professional.

The breakfast is good, a complimentary light afternoon tea is also included - all with a very 'homey' feel. The fact that there is less than 10 rooms, gives it a very intimate feel. Something that the communal dining area supports.

There's a lovely pool and a nice area to relax both outside in the garden, as well as a lounge that is partly inside/outside.

Private, comfortable resort with spectacular view

This resort is located a few miles outside of Kasane near the border at Kazungula. It is quiet and secluded, with very comfortable and relaxing grounds right on the river. The staff was absolutely wonderful and really went out of their way to help us arrange activities and even made phone calls to the airlines on our behalf to track down our missing luggage. The food was fabulous and consisted of a good mix of traditional Botswana dishes as well as some more European food. There are not a lot of activities for children on the resort grounds, but the staff can help you arrange for activities in town, in Chobe or across the border in Zimbabwe. I would highly recommend River View Lodge to anyone!

Great fine!

We were most happy with this hotel, the location was great! It was directly on the Chobe River. Individual cabins had ac, wifi, private balcony. What made it was the great helpful staff, and we found the dinners and afternoon tea to be excellent. We didn't have to go into the city for dinner as this place offered great meal.

A beautiful setting right on the Chobe River with wonderful staff that are attentive to every need. The manager was more than willing to set up any offsite activities that we wanted, including booking a trip to Victoria Falls, Game Drives with scheduling of the meals around our activities.

Small & intimate oasis on the river in Kasane!

This is a very comfortable, personal boutique hotel kind of stay! The staff is lovely & so very attentive....the chalets are spacious, comfortable & the included breakfast is delicious & plentiful as well as a lovely high tea at 2:00 pm! We ate dinner at the hotel both of our nights & it was both delicious & very reasonable in cost...with kind attentive service & interesting conversation with travelers from all over the globe...a bit like an African B&B...small, intimate & personal in its charm....just what we look for in our travels! Thank you to Candy & staff....well done! We wish you nothing but the best!!

Nice Stay - Relaxing by the River

The rooms were nice - pretty spacious and clean. The bathrooms are a little old but clean. The property is very well maintained and comfortable to hang out and read a book. The dinner onsite is convenient since there aren't many other choices but was just ok. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, very good value for the money and would stay again!

Gorgeous location, amazing staff

We LOVED our stay at River View Lodge! The lodge is in an absolutely gorgeous setting right on the Chobe River, close to Kasane, and very close to Chobe National Park. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They seamlessly helped us in arranging airport transfers, a game drive and a river tour. The room was clean, comfortably furnished, and included basic toiletries which was a nice bonus. Overall a very serene, relaxing, and amazing experience at an unbeatable price. I would definitely recommend this lodge to others and would stay here again in the future!

Sehr schöne Lodge mit gutem Service

Die River View Lodge war eine der ganz guten Lodges auf unserer Rundreise. Die Lodge liegt direkt am Chobe River und ist aufgrund ihrer Grösse sehr familiär und überschaubar.

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet.

Sofia, die Managerin vor Ort, war bereits im Vorfeld sehr unterstützend und auch während des Aufenthalts.

Wir haben uns in der River View Lodge sehr wohl und auch sehr willkommen gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Preis-Leistung stimmen hier leider nicht. Obwohl alle den Eindruck machen bemüht zu sein, finden wir es nicht akzeptabel, wenn man als Gast um 8:30 Uhr zum Frühstück kommt und noch der alte, kalte Kaffee vom Vorabend im Pot steht. Auch sonst war noch nichts aufgedeckt.
Die gebuchte Morgen Safari war die schlimmste, die wir je erlebt habe. Es war nur eine Hetze durch den Chobe Park, ohne langen Aufenthalt bei Tiersichtungen und ohne jegliche Erklärungen. Wer die Tiere noch nicht kannte, hat auch nicht dazugelernt. Schade, wirklich schade.
Mit der tollen Lage direkt am Fluss könnte man echt mehr machen. Und bei dem Preis kann man als Gast auch mehr erwarten.

ロケーションが最高でスタッフもみんな明るくフレンドリーでよかった。サファリは早朝サファリが二回、サンセットサファリが一回しましたがガイドさんが動物がいてるポイントを知っていて雨季なのにたくさん見れてよかった！ライオンも雄も雌も両方見れたので感動しました。いい思い出をありがとうございました。

Wunderschöne Lodge am Fluß. Alle Ausflüge von dort werden von einem sehr erfahrenen Ranger durchgeführt.
Sehr gute Mahlzeiten gemeinsam am Tisch mit den anderen Gästen.
Sehr hilfreiches Personal. Keine Preislisten, alles von Mund zu Mund!!!

カサネ地区でのコスパ最高だと思います

コスパがなかなか良くないカサネのホテルですが、こちらはとても良かったです。先の日本人のお二方のレビューを見て決めましたが、大正解でした。
スタッフが皆さん、とても親切でフレンドリー、ダイニングもリビングエリアもプールもすべてリバービューでゆったりくつろぐことができます。ダイニングにはいつもスコーンとコーヒーやお茶が用意してあり、午後はサラダやハム・チーズ、パウンドケーキなどが用意されたハイティーの時間があります。
ゲームドライブも、どのツアーの車よりも新しくてしっかりした車でした。そして、ガイドのマシューさんのプロフェッショナルぶりも完璧で、動物の行く先を読んで車を回してくれるので、いつもばっちり写真を撮ることが出来ます。他の運転手とこまめに情報交換をし、時間をオーバーしてもいる！と読んだ場所には引き返し、マシューさん自身が楽しんで動物を探してくれていました。大規模なホテルのツアーと違って、車の席に余裕があるので、動物の出現によって右に左に移動できる点も良かったです。有名ホテルの車は、どれも満席でしたが、こちらは違いました。
ゲームドライブもホテルで申し込むことをお奨めします。
とにかく、ごみごみ込み合った大規模ホテルとは違った良さがあります。スタッフともすぐ仲良くなれて、楽しい滞在でした。ディナーも値段の割りに本当においしくて豪華で、大満足です。朝食も同じメニューばかりのビュッフェと違って、一人ひとりオーダーの朝食でした。ヨーグルトやチーズなどのサイドメニューはビュッフェ形式なので、お腹も満足です。朝はゲームドライブでスコーンを頂き、遅い朝食をゆったりと食べ、ハイティーをいただき、お昼ご飯は必要なかったです。
街中に出るにはタクシーが必要ですが、すぐに呼んでもらえます。通りに出れば、流しのタクシーもしばしば見かけます。学校が近くにあり、下校時の子どもたちや家畜の牛やヤギが草を食む姿を眺めながらタクシーを待つ時間もまた、良い時間です。ビクトリアフォールズまでの陸路の移動もアレンジしてもらいました。

オススメです！

日本人の口コミがなかったので少し心配でしたが、とっても良かったです！！
あと何泊かしたかったくらい。

とにかくスタッフさんがとても親切でサービスも良かった、そしてご飯もとっても美味しかったです。
チョベ川を眺められる立地も素敵でのんびり出来ました。

部屋数が少ないので、ガヤガヤしていないですし、昼間もゆったりできます。虫はいましたが部屋も清潔でした。

ただ、ホテルの周りには何もありません！
カズングラボーダーとカサネのちょうど真ん中くらいなのでゲームドライブもクルーズもホテルで頼むのが良いかと。
カサネで申し込んでもホテルまで迎えにきてもらえるかは微妙です。

サファリはどれも最高でした！
ガイドさんもとても親切で、お値段以上の経験が出来ました。

Very very nice lodge in Chobe!

It was really nice stay. Staff are all friendly and nice and breakfast afternoon tea, salad, dinner all very delicious. You can drink hot tea or coffee anytime and can enjoy swimming pool for relaxing. Very safe inside the lodge. Safari for water and drive both good and reasonable. Transportation from Victoria falls are very comfortable car. I would love to stay again when I go to Chobe next time. Especially thanks for reception staff Candy for all the arrangement
