Amidst a busy, bustling city, you can escape that and enjoy this gorgeous hotel, delicious restaurants and bar, beautifully appointed and comfortable rooms, gorgeous grounds and spa, and excellent customer-focused service. We didn't mind having to call an uber or taxi to get where we were going and we appreciated being in a quieter part of the city to relax and enjoy!!!! To stay here is to be reminded of what a five-star hotel is intended to be: spacious rooms, soothing ambience, efficient, cheerful service, and an excellent restaurant. Its setting away from the downtown allows for views out of the rooms which feel like you’re in the country. The price of this location is that it takes a little longer to get to some of the main sights of the city, but this is a small price to pay for what you get in return. Highly recommended.

Spectacular hotel with impeccable service. Views are stunning and garden is an oasis in the middle of Lisboa. Only complaint is that some of gym equipment is dated and could be updated (rickety old ellipticals and quite noisy).

The lobby, the rooms, the grounds and the dining were superb (we still miss the breakfast buffet) and the staff were incredible and helpful. This is a great hotel. We will be staying here again.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Olissippo Palace Hotel. I strongly recommend it for a visit to Lisbon. The breakfast buffet in the morning is excellent. I am on a gluten-free diet and they were very accommodating. They brought a wonderful basket of two different breads and a fresh lemon poppyseed muffin. They will make any sort of breakfast coffee for you and custom omelets in addition to the buffet.
When touring gets tiring, taking a break for a day at the pool is great. They have pool-side food and drink services, a nice bar and some regular restaurant tables under umbrellas for folks who are not interested in swimming. If you require warm water for a swim like my wife, the indoor pool is kept a bit warmer.
We enjoyed visiting the bar by the lobby in the evening and listening to the piano player. They bring some nice snacks with the drinks. After dinner, we went back for digestifs. They brought some cookies rather than salty snacks. I mentioned that I was on a special diet and the waiter rushed to the restaurant for some gluten-free cookies.
The concierge arranged reservations for three different restaurants during our trip. All were very good and two of them were a short walk from the hotel.
After my visit, I left something in my room by mistake. I called the concierge, and he immediately tracked it down and arranged for it to be mailed to me on the other side of the world.
Again, I strongly recommend this hotel.

In a quiet area yet very walkable to great dining, a few cocktail bars - giving a very local feel away from the more touristy areas, which is great for a more immersive experience. Lapa Palace hotel is so nice you will almost not want to leave at all to venture around Lisbon! However, if you can tear oneself away from the idyllic pool and gardens, the wonderful hotel staff is ready to provide recommendations, reservation assistance and everything else for a lovely time in this magical city! Service is 10000/10. Rooms have a vintage, palatial feel but are more luxurious than many newer hotels with firm mattresses, linens changed daily and turndown service. Cannot wait to return!

This was the best hotel in Lisbon! We found Lisbon to be somewhat crowded (especially when cruise ships are in). This hotel allowed us to walk all over Lisbon and be in the best areas but out of the hustle when we return. That was amazing.

Although this hotel is a bit off the beaten path, the ambiance, staff and offerings were worth the stay. It's classy, spacious, tranquil and filled with so much history. We stayed only a few days, but wish we could have stayed longer. So glad we found this gem. Also, the cocktail bar is top notch, along with the indoor/outdoor pool.

Despite other reviews we found the location to be ideal, and walked to several sites like the monastery and the Lisbon Cathedral without any issues. Ubers are also easy to get if you need one.

Olissippo was our last stay before flying home. We were so busy during our stay that this was a truly relaxing and comfortable way to end our trip. They upgraded our room to one of the ‘original’ palace rooms and it was on the top floor with a view of the river. We had dinner outside at the more casual dining room and both the service and food were delicious!
We didn’t have spa treatments but did check out the spa area and it’s very relaxing and the indoor pool is really nice. The outdoor pool is surrounded by lawn area and greenery everywhere and was the perfect antidote to our busy forays around Portugal.

Highest Quality Hotel!! You will not be disappointed if you stay here. The staff was incredibly kind. I arrived early and they found me a room prior to the normal check in time. I had travel issues getting to Lisbon and was upset. They showed kindness and dealt with me perfectly. We had dinner at their restaurant and the quality and presentation was superb. The hotel itself is elegant and distinguished. It is not close to the tourist area and main square of Lisbon. That is the only negative. When we walked around in the area there was not much to see.

We stayed for 2 nights and the experience has been fantastic. We were greeted and serviced by very friendly and helpful staff.
The room was very spacious and we got everything we need in the room. Great breakfast, swimming pool and gym. We also tried the massage therapies which added much more colour to our trip. Highly recommended!
