Very terrible experience, I checked in at front desk around 10pm. No A/C was working in the lobby, felt humid with nats flying around. When I arrived at my room more disgusted mirowave dirty with no plate, beds dirty sheets and covers, pulled back sheets and found a huge stain on mattress. Also broken lamp in between beds. When back to front desk and left the place. Not a safe place to stay.

Absolutely the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

The room at Palm Bliss Hotel in Corpus Christi was filthy and unsafe. As soon as I walked in, I noticed serious problems.

There were roaches in the room, cigarette butts and trash left behind, and even syringe tops/drug paraphernalia. There was also exposed electrical wiring, which is a serious safety hazard.

The bedding was even worse. When I checked under the duvet there were bed bugs, spiders, and flies inside the sheets. It was completely disgusting and clearly had not been cleaned properly.

These conditions made the room completely uninhabitable and unsafe, so I had no choice but to check out immediately.

No guest should ever have to deal with this level of filth or safety risk. I strongly recommend avoiding this property.

Booked a non smoking room, found a used cigarette next to TV stand, trash has uncleaned vomit, Not cleaned room, super dirty bathroom smell, toilet seat not assigned properly, closet hangers too old dust smell and spiders, my kids didn't sleep at all, TV not working and no remote. This was by far nothing like the pictures. The absolute worst place I’ve rented. I walked into the room and the pillows were scrunched up like if someone was laying in the bed and just flipped the blanket over to get out of bed. There was trash in the trashcan and it smelled so bad. In the first five minutes, I saw two prostitutes and three crackheads. So bad I didn’t care about losing my $300 for two rooms.

.5 star. Checked in 10pm and employee \"L\" kept my drivers license by mistake. Followed up the next two days and then realized it was not even mentioned that a guest's personal information was lost due to employee negligence. Surveillance shows she placed my license on the check in desk and proceeded to leave the lobby and license on display at the front desk. Rm#1: I walked in and noticed the amount of mold in the entire room. Absolutely a health concern for everyone in the building. A 5 gallon bucket was under the sink due to a leak and also grew mold. Inspecting more, pubic hairs and used towels were reshelved and obviously not washed.
Returned to front desk to request clean room and report concerns when \"L\" notified me that she kept my ID and then realized it was no longer in her possession and lost. Long story short, I requested a refund after approximately 5 walk throughs and would have gladly left to find a room elsewhere but refund was denied by manager \"S\" and employee \"L\". Every single room shown had mold and unsanitary conditions. \"L\" neglected to keep my personal information safe and while she was out of the building for whatever reason, an individual walked in and proceeded to steal my drivers license from the front desk since it was left in plain sight.
This hotel needs to be shut down, demolished, rebuilt, and then managed properly. Employed individuals agree on record of the tremendous decline of the property.

Extra fees that were not disclosed in both reservations made in these last seven days. Its a real scam. No breakfast. No laundry machines that work. Housekeepers are just one guy who is on meth. They have blackmold. But we have no where to go. My wiis bedridden for the most part.They have given us until 5 pm to pay 100 dollars if not they lock the room with our stuff in it. They have already tried once. We don't have 100 dollars right now. My wife is on oxygen. God help us 🙏

This hotel is disgusting. The toilet was clogged from who ever stayed there before. The room smelled musty. There was mold on the ceiling. You could tell the room hadn’t been cleaned. The floor was dirty. The bed comforter had holes in it. The elevator did not work. I lost my money because I refused to stay there and they wouldn’t give me my money back. This has to be the absolute worst hotel. I thought it was unsanitary and took the loss because I wasn’t staying there.

When we arrived to check-in, we were told there would be a $10 pet fee and a $50 room deposit in cash. We stayed at the Red Roof Inn the night before for $62 and chose this hotel because it was advertised for less, plus it offered continental breakfast. Total cost to us was $110. Cost of getting cash from card $15 in fees only to have them keep our deposit when we checked out for pet hair on the floor and claiming we smoked in a non smoking room. I had the police get involved to help get our deposit that was blatantly stolen. We needed accommodations for 2 nights, having only $150 to do so, including food, and now we're unable get another room for today.

My Wife and I stayed here for 4 nights. There are roaches crawling all over the outside of the building and also in the bathrooms. The staff is friendly but very nosey when you’re walking around the grounds, however, the grounds are well maintained and clean. (other than roaches) The WORST part about this hotel was our bathroom. After we had checked in and unloaded we spent the rest of our day at the beach. When we got back to our room and about to head to bed when one of us had to use the bathroom, the toilet wouldn’t flush. We had no toilet for 4 nights. We had to use the lobby bathroom or hold it till we went about our plans for the day. The sink was also clogged and wouldn’t drain so it was filled with nasty water. I definitely would not recommend anyone staying here especially for how much you’re paying.

Property was older and not well kept up. First room smelt like old wet mildew very strong like the room had gotten wet. Was upgraded to third flor as if it was any better. Roaches everywhere. Toilet didnt flush down properly. Lamps did not work or either broken. Cheap dainty towels and only two bath one hand towel and one wash cloth. One tiny bar of soap no body was or shampoo. Hair dryer did not work. Coffe maker did not work. The Tv did work nor the the screen function clearly. It looked like it had been drop. A/C BARELY kept room cooled. I was too tired to even complaint anymore. Just wanted to sleep get some rest from a long day from a funeral. Will not recommend nor will i ever stay here again. And if i wanted a better room on the first floor i had to pay more extra than what i was paying for in the first place. Do not was waste your time or money. No breakfast just basic coffe and cold pastry no hot breakfast no cereal offered. Pictures did not match website. No ice machines worked on property. Expedia should not promote this unsafe hotel!

1. Check in, when we arrived no one was in office had to call and wait for front desk employee to come which took 5 minutes, it was awkward and the reception area was in array and dirty, it was about midnight when we arrived into town

2. We get to room, none of the light switches worked in the room had to turn on bathroom light, the room had not been cleaned there was still mop bucket and cleaning supplies in room. Sand clumps everywhere on floor, terrible smell of mildew, bathtub had a half used bar of soap
3. We returned back to front office to request another room, employee was not in office, this time we waited 15 minutes for someone to help us. In the meantime another couple walked in under the influence and I did not feel secure , they proced to call number at desk to request and employee to come to desk and then another 3rd person waiting in lobby, no employees to help

4. We make it to 2nd room by 1:30 am after all is said and done. Room smelt very strong of mold and mildew i had to spray air freshener within 2 minutes of my arrival in room because it smelled so bad, surfaces where sticky, bedding had stains, did not smell clean, and we itched all night in the bed , in moring we discovered black stuff growing on ceiling and walls, fridge was broken and our food we put In there went and spoiled. It’s 12:15 Saturday morning and the gave us a room with some kind of pest that caused us to itch I don’t think it was bedbugs but dang they itched, we ask for another room and they charged us a extra charge that I don’t think it was right. This hotel caters to some weird and sleazy people in my opinion. I work for many hotel owners like the pastels and the rays family and I’ve never been in a hotel as dirty and sleazy as this one. Even the hotels on north beach are way cleaner and more sanitized than this one. And also the tub was dirty and we found roaches in the bathroom. I know now why La Quinta took their name off this hotel because this hotel is just awful. My daughter and her husband were in room 311 and have two children and they found bedbugs in their mattress. Now I believe that’s what we had in our room so now we are finding another hotel because they refuse to move us without us paying an extra charge lol. I just hope anyone reading this takes all the negative post to heart because it’s actually the truth what people post on here good nightmares lol.
And the manager always respond that they take complaints seriously and will look into it but all they do is laugh at the complaints. but like I said I do work for many hotels in San Antonio and many hotel owners from India take pride in their hotels, but then you have owners like these that actually don’t care at all about their hotels and that’s why hotel chains remove their names from their properties this use to be

Hotel below the lowest of standards. AC not properly functioning. Technician took out and replaced-same result. Cool air NOT COLD AIR. Pillows looked like someone slept on them before I did. No phone or refrigerator provided. Technician said only rooms that face the street have refrigerators. Sink clogged very slow drain. Shower head heavy w calcium sprays in different directions. You can tell maintenance isn’t at the top of their list. Gap at bottom of door allow any size critter coulg come in. While trying to get things resolved w management you could hear others complain about sinks and toilets not working. What a way to spend a birthday here. If tidiness is not a problem then please stay. But if it’s not turn the cheek and look elsewhere because you’re sure to be disappointed. I’D be more than happy to take a lie detector test. STAW AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Was dirty. Inside the ceiling was falling the hair dryer didn’t work. The lights were not all on. It was missing blankets towels and no one ever came to get the dirty towels or give clean ones I had to get them myself. The so called continental breakfast was stale wheat bread and wheat bagels. Spray on butter at that. We had to bag our garbage because no one came to empty it. They were charging $250
If you brought sand in which it wouldn’t have made a difference. The floor was even vacuumed to begin in. Will not be staying there again

This property was terrible. When we got there my daughter saw a mouse. When we got into the room there was a hole and a vent that was not covered. There was a lot of roaches everywhere crawling by the fridge, draws, walls, on the headboard of the bed and in the shower there was bugs. It was a horrible experience we got there and left right away. We asked for a refund and I was told that we needed to contact Expedia. So now we are waiting for a response for that. It was not in our agreement that there would have been rodents or roaches.

I should have read the review more. The online pictures are so deceiving. This place was disgusting, smelled so bad of cigarettes and mold smell. Although we were in a non smoking room. Toilet wasn't stable. Would rock when sitting on it. My 5yr old almost fell and got scared because the toilet moved. The sheets were stained. There was so much noise at night. Idk how anyone could sleep. The room next to ours sounded like they were moving furniture all night. Seemed more like an extended stay and people that were on drugs everywhere. Didn’t feel safe once we got back there after the sun went down. Will never stay there again.

Would not provide me with a receipt due to booking with expedia.They charge more to be on 2nd/1st floor. A/C was loud and barely cooled. Room smelled, toilet and bath tub clogged up. Only 1 light fixture worked, was really dim. Comforters were stained and there was sand in the beds. They Did not come and clean the room once during our stay. Smallest trash can present too, only provided with 2 towels for 4 people. They smelled and had stains, not sure if they were actually clean. $50 holding fee for sand in the room is ridiculous. Its a beach city. We couldn't use the pool, it was green and sitting area was dirty. At Check out, i was greeted with a written out paper at front desk, to leave key card on counter. Nobody at counter. I Highly do not recommend this hotel.

Checked in early and paid fee while we waited for our second room to be available. Upon entering the restroom in the room it smelled and when my children wanted to shower and turned on the water it immediately started filling up and pubic hair started floating out. There was pubic and regular hair around the tub. Front desk was notified and we asked if we could have another room, they sent maintenance instead. They cleared the drain but when they tried flushing the hairs down the toilet..the toilet didn’t work. Checked out 45mins max after early check in (30 mins in which maintenance was still attempting to fix the issues while we got our stuff). No additional cleaning was done to the tub, the odor was “fixed” by spraying chemicals around the restroom. Went to check out and that’s when they offered to swap rooms but we were already on edge. DO NOT STAY HERE! Pay the extra money to stay elsewhere. Facility and amenities aren’t as described.

They said the pool was open for swimming went with my kids to go see the pool the water was all green told them about it and they just said it was still open just dirty also in one of the rooms we got the door knob kept coming off told front desk about it they sent maintenance guy came up said if he change it then I’ll be charge for it mind you we only had just checked in like 10min we just went to go leave our stuff to get dinner but couldn’t right away another room the card kept deactivating being a little annoying having to go down every time down the stairs from the 3rd floor there’s no elevators the ice machine wasn’t working pretty much in all floors I think I can keep going on and on but I’ll just stop

Broken. Dirty. NOT WORTH YOUR TIME.

It was awful and it’s dirty. I checked at the desk, that was fine when I got to the room I did notice right away that the bathroom door was broken and there was no smoke alarm. But honestly I just needed a clean room to sleep in and shower. Got to the room late at night so I just went to sleep. When I went to shower in the morning is when I noticed everything wrong with the room. There was blood on the bathroom curtain , the trash can was dirty, the floor was dirty. My feet turn black just from walking around in the morning with no shoes on. Once I noticed how dirty it was I went to the office to complain and the front desk said there was nothing they could do about it until a manger got there this was around 8AM. I checked in at 12:30AM. I was told the manger was going to be in at 10:30 but he wasn’t , I went back at 10:45 (I left right after to get breakfast somewhere else) he wasn’t there and I told them to give me a call and they didn’t. I finally called back at 3:30PM once I was done doing what I did for the day. He basically said I shouldn’t expect much because of the rates. I’ve been to PLENTY of cheap motels and fancy hotels and I don’t care about the small stuff but being clean is another story. I expect clean even if it cost 5$ because that’s a hazard for it not to be. I asked if I could get a refund or even partial refund because I did stay. He said no. And he’d give me a discount the next time I visit…. Why would I ever come back?

The guy who checked me in was very helpful in getting my reservation changed through hotels.com as I made a mistake when reserving online.

However I had reservations about staying at this hotel when I pulled into the parking lot. It didn’t feel safe. But I had not gotten the cancellation protection so didn’t want to loose my money. The first room was on the back side. It was a King bed and I reserved 2 queen. So go back and ask for a different room on the front side. No problems there. We choose a hotel specifically for a pool and breakfast. The pool was green and not swimmable. We couldn’t park directly in front of our room because there was a car sitting up on boards with a tire off. The room itself looked ok but we didn’t look that close.

Being a female traveler with my daughter and granddaughters I am cautious about my surroundings. I decided that I didn’t care about loosing my money and we didn’t stay here.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Had it not been 4th of July weekend I would went somewhere else but most places were booked unless I wanted to spend $200+ a night.

This Hotel Shouldn’t Be on Hotels.com

We’ve been booking through Hotels.com for years and have never had an experience this bad. The conditions at this hotel are absolutely deplorable. It’s shocking that a property in this state is even listed on your platform. The hygiene is nonexistent—there were cockroaches everywhere, no mattress covers (just a thin sheet), dirty bathroom, filthy mirror, and stained sheets. The entire place was unacceptable and should be inspected by health authorities. Truly a terrible experience. Avoid at all costs.

I should have looked into the reviews now I know next time to do so. They definitely need to update their photos the place doesn’t look nothing like the photos posted. They definitely need to invest in renovating. I understand for an early check in fee but not for this so call hotel. Our room had no refrigerator or microwave and we found a dead cockroach next to a small trash can the bathtub look dirty and rusty. My in laws first room smell liked mold, the sheets were dirty it looked like a washed blood stain and the pillows looked used like if somebody had check in there already and probably also realized it was bad. We went back to the front counter to let them know if they can change us the room the guy wanted to see himself but I took photos showed him he did change there room and the new room did have a small refrigerator and microwave but it did not work. I know if I would have complained I wouldn’t have gotten my refund back especially that we book two rooms and it was the 4th of July weekend.

Absolutely horrendous room. Extremely dirty. The tub was so dirty in fact i never showered. Roaches crawling late at night as i read. The room appeared to either not have been cleaned or was extremely poorly cleaned. Parking lot was super dirty. Trash all around.
Only reason i stayed there was 1 it was late at night. 2 the hotel had a non-refund when booked. This place is literally the worst hotel ive slept in my entire life.

From the moment I walked in, the hotel felt like a bad decision. The air was thick with humidity, like stepping into a damp basement. The floors were wet, not just a little slick, but genuinely wet throughout my entire stay. The toilet wobbled like it was trying to escape the bathroom. Nothing felt clean, stable, or remotely comfortable.

Then came the real highlight. A little after 10 pm, I watched a woman get thrown from a moving car right in the parking lot. She hit the ground and started screaming loudly. No staff came out. No one seemed to care. It was like this sort of thing was just business as usual.

There were only three towels in the room, which at any other hotel might be a small annoyance. But here, it felt like one more reminder that nothing was being taken care of. The walls looked like they were growing something, and I am pretty sure it was black mold. With the amount of moisture in the air, I would honestly be more shocked if it wasn't mold.

I thought about asking for a refund, but I was only staying for the night. And honestly, I figured they probably needed the money more than I did, hopefully to fix at least one of the dozens of problems this place clearly has.

This wasn’t just a bad stay. It was stressful, unsafe, and deeply unsettling. I would not recommend this hotel from hell to anyone. Ever.

Wiped our feet off on the way out. Non smoking room that has cigarette burns in the tub. The same tub that drains slower than the check-in. One washcloth. The towel quality falls into rag category. The ends of the shower curtain are missing rod attachments. The floors going to get wet. There are scuff marks on the toilet seat and tub. I had to make sure they were from shoes, IF you know what I mean. I believe there’s another charge for having to clean sand patrons left behind. I don’t know if they charged the previous occupants of this room but they could have done a better job cleaning up the sand. And hair. No fridge if you book 3rd party. They will upgrade for a fee. Late check out is 1pm (2 additional hours) for $25. Shower is weak but there’s hot water. Grounds are in a word, nasty. Butts and stains (not butt stains) on all paths. AC sounds like a door opening when it shuts off. Noisy outside. Plus’s: AC works fine, thank God. Facing S Padre Island Dr - traffic noise in the room is tolerable. Easy on/off access. Other patrons appeared to have a wonderful pool time. Walking distance to various restaurants. Religious tolerant with a Gideon Bible and a book titled Bhagavad Gita. So, compared to competitors pricing, you get what you get for under 90 bucks. Lesson learned: just pay the extra $40 for better amenities and accommodations up the street.

I’m very disappointed in my hotel

This hotel is awful. There are so many things wrong with this place. There were police on the property arresting people frequently throughout our stay, and we didn’t feel safe. The room was disgusting, unclean, and the air conditioner didn’t adequately cool the room. There what seemed to be blood and many other stains on the walls, tub and sink. The breakfast was minimal and unappealing. The picture for our room had a microwave and refrigerator, but the room had none.
I would never recommend this or return. I believe I should be refunded in full for what I paid.

The picture look nothing like what the hotel looks like, the walls were written on, there were roaches in the rooms, it had a bad smell. I went to the office to see what another room looked like and it was the same. The restroom was dirty, there were no towels, and again looked nothing like what I saw in the pictures online. Very sketchy. So I told the office we were not happy, I asked for my refund and they refused to give me my money back cause I booked thru Expedia. We left, went to stay elsewhere! I called Expedia and they said they could refund me but the hotel manager refused to approve my refund, which I'm not sure why IF WE DID NOT STAY THERE!!! I spoke to one of the front desk guys and he asked if I took pictures of the room lol I explained I didn't have time I just wanted to get out of that room with how nasty it was! Do not book here!!

Room were very clean. Probably because of the sign in lobby that said no sand in room or will be charged 200 for damages. Staff in the lobby was nice. There was a little scuffle in the parking lot but cops responded very quickly. Which is great. Other than that everything was well.
