This was about a 1.5 star hotel. It was quite dated. The staff is quite nice though. I would stay here again if in a tight situation.

We spent a long airport layover at this hotel, so that we could relax and rest. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable, although we did find the shower floor to be quite slippery when wet. The meal we had in the restaurant was good and everything was very fresh. Our only disappointment was that the massage treatments I had scheduled via a chat on the hotel website, during which I was assured our appointment was confirmed, were not in fact scheduled and no one was even available in the spa area. We would definitely stay here again, especially in the case of an early flight, since the proximity to the airport is very good.

Very comfortable stay. The bed was nice, wifi worked well and room got cool enough for me and I like cold rooms. The service provided by the staff is amazing. The massage was great. The only small thing was breakfast was just okay. I did not eat any other meals.

Surprise party!

Stayed over New Years and was given free entrance to their gala celebration including a free banquet and entertainment. All staff were exceptionally friendly and made us fell very welcome. That is the most important quality I like for in a hotel. -Susanne

Property shows heavy sign of wear and tear compared to the crisp clean photos on the website and our a/c was broken and needed to be fixed. They responded quickly to the A/C breaking and the staff was nice.

The unit could have used a deep cleaning as there were scuffs and dark marks on walls, baseboards and floor.

It was an adequate place to stay before my Raja Ampat cruise and the included breakfast was good

Safe choice

Very friendly staff, rooms was cleaned and large. Breakfast was good and tasty. Great shuttle (car) service to get to the airport. Would be great to have a cosy place to have a drink in the evening (not only beer)

I loved my stay at the Harper Parentis. The gym is well equipped, definitely more than as is the norm. The wifi was strong and once you type in the password your done. No splash pages or password changing to keep too many users on. The staff is friendly. There were at least 10 english channels and four HBOs so ai just binge watched movies whenever I could. Rainfall shower heads with lots of pressure. KFC out front if you find yourself fancying some fried chicken. Near to the airport. Walking distance to an alfamart. Breakfast was mostly Asian style, which I like, and they really worked hard to make it special. While you're eating people will check on you and see if you need anything. Anytime you're in the restaurant or lobby, people will respectfully address you and say hello and give you a big smile. Room service was 24/7 and when I returned the trays to the hall they were always speedily collected. The price was competitive. Highly recommended, especially for business travellers.

Excellent value for money. Staff went above and beyond in getting my missing bag back from Garuda in the early morning hours do I could leave on time. Very clean and spacious. Super eco friendly: No plastic bottled water. Instead, each room has a jug and you fill it from water dispensers in the corridor. Wish more hotels would do that.

Liked my stay. The room was comfortable, modern and quite spacious, with good wifi. The breakfast was good and the hotel staff was very hospitable. Also, liked that the rooms did not have plastic bottles instead we could get water from a water cooler at every floor. Highly recommended.

It's a great place with amazing amenities, such as gym, spa, bars, cafe, and pools. It's really nice to be able to have meeting while having nice warm breakfast. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. Yet, I have a little issue with separate booking, which could not be bundled during payment - it's just a bit inconvenience when we don't know how long we want to stay and need to add one more night, and have the bill separated.

Airport Convenience, Family-Orientated Hotel

Suitable for 1 or 2 nights.

The room I stayed in was clean, quiet and had basic traveller amenities. Gym is well-stocked with fitness equipment, drinking water and towels, and air conditioners were running and set at a cooler temperature.

Breakfast is primarily Indonesian fare. There were a couple of token \"Western\" hot dishes on the buffet (although I am unsure about including fettuccini marinara as a breakfast dish). However, there are also neutral sections such as an egg station, yogurt and fruit, cereals etc.

There are a few restaurants in the compound, Indonesian chains and also a KFC, if you don't want to eat at the hotel. Like most of Makassar, the area outside the hotel is unattractive. Prepare for general harassment (catcalls, whistling, buy this and that) if you leave the compound.

The pool is situated such that the pool lounge area receives sunlight all day. The only drawback is that as this is a family orientated hotel, the pool naturally becomes the gravitational point even at 8 am. Posted pool rules or even common sense safety measures aren't really enforced, and I observed children being allowed to run across the pool deck, cannonball in to the pool, and even urinate (!) into the pool drain. Not very ideal if you are a fitness swimmer.

The staff were pleasant enough. However, they do not appear to have separate rest facilities, as more than once I observed groups congregated in the public areas socialising.

The hotel was very nice and clean, hotel staff were helpful, breakfast was good. I stayed there for 1 night because the hotel was close to the airport and I had to catch a morning flight. They provided free airport shuttle. It was a 15 minute ride to the airport in the morning.

Bad attitude

Even though i requested for king bed non smoking room on booking. Upon check in i was told there is no non smoking room available on the superior room and i had to top up another $15 for non smoking room

There were no apologies just take it or leave it attitude. I dont think i will come back to this hotel

Very good hotel near the airport. They provide free shuttle to the airport, but the frequency was limitted. The staff were very nice and helpul, the hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable. Very recommended

New Airport Hotel in Makassar

New hotel, some kinks left to work out (there's still plaster still on the walls) that i'm just the hotel will work out in the months to come.

Onsite restaurant had excellent meals, offering a taste of international, Indonesian and local meals. I did find that many items were sold out however, but again I see this as something they will workout once they get their stride.

Staff is very polite, there is decent anglophones working key positions.

Pool looked lovely, but i did not try due to the rains.

I enjoyed that the restaurant was non-smoking, something I take for granted at home now. A lovely patio overlooking the pool offered full service.

Taxi requests were met in less than 10 minutes.

Wi-fi was strong in the hotel, but rather weak in the rooms. Something I find consistent with many hotels in the region, but maybe my room was the exception.

For all my fault finding, i'm planning to return on follow up trips.

I stayed the hotel more than 7 days. while I stayed the hotel they just had opening ceremony. All of staffs are very kind and friendly and the hotel was very neat since it is new hotel. However, the Hotel was preparing Gym and it wasn't finished yet. The hotel provide many different kinds of food for Breakfast, but sometimes they do not have enough choice for dinner. Hotel is not located in downtown Makasaar, but if you take highway, it just 30 Min to get the downtown.
this hotel is very nice for the price. I am going to Makasaat next week and definately, I will stay this hotel again.

Absolut tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, schönes Zimmer, Hotel bietet auch Fitnessstudio, Swimmingpool (nur geöffnet bis 18:00) und Spa, starkes Wifi, leckeres Frühstücksbuffet, waren leider bloß eine Nacht, Moschee in der Nähe, die bereits in den frühen Morgenstunden zum Gebet ruft (Oropax also nicht vergessen)

Hotel kamerdeur klemt en valt daarmee niet vanzelf dicht, douche putje verstopt langer dan 1 minuur douchen niet mogelijk, kamer niet schoon vlekken op de vloer etc. Kamer met tweepersoonsbed besteld, krijgen 2 losse bedden met de opmerking dat we dat besteld hebben. We waren op doorreis, kwamen laat binnen en gingen vroeg weg en waren moe. Andere kamer was niet beschikbaar, erg vervelend.
