Great place to rest up before crossing into Mexico via the Mariposa crossing. Best soundproofing of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We never heard any noise from either interior or exterior, and I’m very noise-sensitive. Rooms include small kitchenettes. Beds are very comfortable, and very good satellite TV. Pet-friendly too!

Overall a good experience. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. All staff was wearing masks and it appeared that the appropriate COVID protocols were being observed. The small \"store\" in the hotel had a decent assortment of microwave foods if you did not feel like going out. A small, but serviceable workout room was also on site.

Go Next Door to the Holiday Inn

I was not aware that this property does not have daily housekeeping services or breakfast. I was placed on the first floor and could hear every step the people above took throughout my stay. The air conditioning fan kicked on every 10-15 minutes even when I turned it off and kept waking me up. I finally unplugged it from the wall. There is a Holiday Inn next door that would be better suited for business trips. The one restaurant, Mr. C's, had very slow service and the food was not great for the price. Not many places to eat other than fast food though.

Some reason they didn't even clean the room between days, there is some old chair in the room that scared me to even sit in it (looks like it came from the side of the road), first night there was roach swimming in the toilet when I woke up. (Back stroke so he couldn't get out) Maybe I got a bad room, don't know.

Easy overnight stay location for quick shoppig trip into Nogales, Sonora MX. Fast check in and clean room made it a quiet and easy overnight stay spot. Be careful with the hotel provided iron as the low setting burnt through a shirt.

I always use the Candlewood as a stopping place going back and forth to San Carlos,MX. They will hold packages for my arrival, are very friendly, and very accommodating. Highly recommend them.

The room was spacious, beds comfortable, TV worked well all channels available, no problem with internet, if your alight sleeper would unplug the fridge:all in all would stay here again. Safe convenient overnight resting spot for a quick and early border crossing access point into Mexico. Good value.

Overnight New Years Business Stay

Front desk clerk was very vague in giving hotel information such as check out time, wifi password, my room.nukber, how to get there so on. She answered the phone after accepting my payment and said that'll be all. Other than the recliner being worn and material peeling off in the room it was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen came well in handy and was stocked with all needed. The bathroom was very spacious and clean. I felt comfortable and safe with my kids as the security required a room key for access to the bldg after hours. Check out was simple as well. This was a one night stay for a party my husband DJ'd in the town of Patagonia. The kids absolutely loved waking up to snow and viewing it from the 3rd floor.

Very cozy, nice place, big room, very convenient, with washing machine and dryer, close to shops, friendly staff, clean room, we enjoyed our stay. The only thing we didn't like is, no one has came to clean the room during our 7 days of stay, it would be nice if cleaner came even once for 7days stay, at least to change towels and linens. But over all it's a good place, I recommend, I will come back definitely in this hotel.

I came here after a dismal night at motel 6. I'm so glad I did. Will be staying here when I go to Nogales AZ. A nice clean room with a little kitchenette and a clean bathroom. Exactly what I'm looking for when traveling.

Very conveniently located to the border crossing into Mexico. Very comfortable suites: You could live in one of these! It had everything. My only negative comment was the exorbitant amount they charged ($25) for our dog. Had we known it was going to be that much, we would likely have stayed elsewhere. Also could not understand why a big dog costs more than a small one.

Weekend getaway, spur of the moment. I read the reviews on this hotel and it received an 'excellent' rating, and this was right on the money. For the price our room was wonderful! It had a fridge, microwave, small sink, and even a dishwasher! Talk about comfort! It was like a small studio apartment. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. If we ever come back to Nogales, we're staying here.

Very nice hotel for Nogales. Have everything an extended stay person would need. Only one nightstand, since there were two of us in the room, we had to leave one phone plugged in on the desk, but that was only a few steps from the bed so not a big issue. Room was smaller than some Candlewood Suites we have stayed in, but it was clean, bug free, quiet and newer. Nogales is not known for good or nice hotels, so this is a breath of fresh air. It is next to a Circle K and there is a Jack in the Box on the other side of the Circle K. There is also another hotel next door that has a grill and restaurant, however Candlewood does have a store that sells plenty of items, and of course a stove top, microwave, dish washer, table settings and a coffee maker, coffee, tea pot and tea in the room and a good size dirty clothes hamper and iron. The shampoo however is pantene shampoo and conditioner in one. No separate bottle of conditioner so if you have long hair you may want to bring your own.

Suites are very large, but only have 1 HVAC unit to support two rooms. The bedroom has a small 12\" x 12\" wall fan to distribute Hera or air. All else is great. Directv on 2 flat screen TVs.

Comfortable lodging in a busy area but be aware

Nice property in a busy area. Several motels, gas station & sports bar within walking distance. We enjoyed a quiet, comfortable king bed Suite on the 3rd floor. Unfortunately, the rear windshield of our car was shattered while parked overnight in the Candlewood Suites parking lot. I report the incident to the front desk and left my business card but I haven't received any follow-up. We won't stay at this property again.
