The elevator was down. The pool was closed. The eggs and hashbrowns were disgusting! The room was so hot when we got in there we put the ac on all night and the room was still warm in the morning. The staff were loud in the hallway at 7:30 am. Will never book here again!

The bed was just fair for sleeping, not very comfortable. The smell of fresh paint was hard on the head and It was difficult without a working elevator to carry bags etc. I probably wouldn't have booked this hotel if I had known that they were renovating ahead of the booking. We left early and didn't stay the second night of a two day stay.

Unfortunately, due to a recent flood (again), the elevators were not operational.

Also, we used the pool one night and ourselves, along with other guests, ended up getting some sort of blue sticky sealant transferred from the pool walls to our bodies and bathing suites.

Staff lacked attentiveness, and was quick awkward. Following us to our room and waiting outside until we got inot oir room. We were not notified of pool closure, gym and no restaurant at time of booking. So he we are in our suits myself and two children...at the front desk askign for the key and the look they gave us was worst than the stares and the following us throigh the hotel.. The whole basement was flooded and renovations were taking place. Here is the best part, due to the basement being flooded our room on the first floor was infested with MICE !!!!
The lack of accountability and understanding from this staff was being disturbing. Staff were not eager to help chamhe room or refund... Let me be clear this place was our go to.. Thanks for the last round of disgust!!!

Amenities that attracted us where shut down the day we arrive for full time of stay. Elevator not operational for the duration of our stay. Result was canceled after one night and we did get a full refund.

The room was really nice, everything was clean! The hotel informed me (after all ready having it booked) that the pool and elevator was out of order (once we arrived we seen it’s because they are doing a bunch of Reno’s) which wasn’t a problem for us it was a 1 night stay. I just think it should have been said before rhe booking incase we couldn’t do stairs. Anyways the hotel itself very nice and with the Reno’s it will be even better I’m sure! The gentleman that checked us in was also very very nice and great at his job!

Upon arriving the room and staff was excellent then after that when we arrive back from our outing, we discovered the television was not working so we called down front desk answered and said will send somebody up 45 minutes later my wife calls again and they said someone will be up there in about five or 10 minutes The gentleman did arrive close to 10 minutes after look like we were disturbing him no communication even when we said thank you did not acknowledge us. Was very disappointed in that then after that went to hook up her Wi-Fi and it said her room name did not match so we could not cook our Wi-Fi so we have spotted off Cell phone for our iPad because it does not have Internet on. It overall was not very pleased about all that did not want to call downstairs and disturb the gentleman again plus we called numerous times before they answered the phone every time we called.

Stained chair - corner. Cushion is very dirty.
Trap under bathroom sink/ plumbing is or was leaking thus damaging the wood. This is or will be mold and should be addressed before it gets worse.
Mold very much stresses my wife out due to health reasons.
Pool was chilly but was still enjoyed.

Small things that would have otherwise been a perfect stay. Employees were all smiles and this alone goes a long way. We will return im sure. Thank you folks

We booked one night as a family staycation over Christmas and our daughter has always wanted to try the “hotel with the big slide that you can see from the highway”. The staff were friendly, check in was simple and the slide was a blast, but the pool was quite cold. We went to the pool in the evening and were warned by another guest that there were no pool towels and we had to use our room towels. On my way up to the room, I checked with the front desk and he confirmed there were no towels and if we used our room ones, we couldn’t get fresh ones until the next day. There were 2 elevators but only one working one. Breakfast would have been mediocre if the food would have been replenished in the trays, or when it was some things were I realize there was a hockey tournament so lots of people in the hotel, however that would not have been a surprise to management so they could have been more prepared for the amount of people booked in.

Always have good experience with Holiday Inn Express, but first time at Bedford location.

First of all, location is excellent. Around the area has plenty of gas stations options, close to Tim's and pizza place, very close to the highway, within short distance drive will get you to Bayer's Lake with all the shops and restaurants. Hotel has very nice rooms.

The down side, a couple of staff members were rude. First, at the front desk. Didn't get a welcoming greeting while checking in. Wasn't too friendly neither. And then during breakfast was a bit surprising, because the food area is in a very cramped room. Most hotel would have an open area. Not only would make it hard when there are a lot of people, but also hard for staff to refill food and supplies. That's also where I encountered another staff who was being rude. While she was bringing out the food, I kept hearing an unfriendly tone saying \"Excuse me! This is hot!\" I understand it is hard to bring the food in while it's crowded and it can be difficult. Also, it is not the people's fault since the breakfast room is extremely small.

Would still give Holiday Inn Express another try, just surprised that this time wasn't a smooth stay.

Building in general is fine and clean with two good service elevator. Room was also good but bathroom was terrible. Bathroom's door was hardly to close/ open that result in very noisy sound. This distracts the sleep. Also toilet was moving while in use. It needs to be fixed. House keeping staff just replaced the towels but they neither make the bed, nor replacing Lenin or cleaning floors.

Heard scratching in the hotel room walls followed by a mouse running across the floor and going under sofa bed. Went to front desk to ask for another room, was provided a lower quality room that had not been cleaned, window opened, bedding had been used, toilet was full of toilet paper. Went back down to front desk and was provided another room - still lower quality than what had been booked and paid for. Was given a bottle of water for my inconvenience. Approached the front desk the next morning and Brock tye front desk agent was rude and dismissive. Told me I booked through Expedia so not his problem and nothing he could do. Refused to let me speak to manager.

Room wasn't ready until about an hour after check in time. Staff were very nice and I don't believe it was their fault, I think they were understaffed. No towels in the pool area was probably the first time I experienced that in a hotel. We asked front desk and they couldn't help. The breakfast buffet had odd machines from what was expected (pancakes instead of waffles, juice machine that was surprisingly frustrating to operate) and the service staff were buzzing around cutting in front of guests and generally in the way when it wasn't even busy. They were nice but seemed like they felt like they needed to be rushing around. The experience would be better if they were more discreet and patient in performing their duties. No one seemed to care how our stay was and didn't ask. The cleaning ladies we met were so nice.

The check in was where it started. Staff were rude when we checked in. Seemed annoyed for no reason. One card didn’t work so went back down to get it fixed and again didn’t seem happy to help.
Called down once we were in our room and no one answered.
No towels for the pool, asked for a few more at the desk and he seemed very annoyed I asked For more to only have 2 and not 3 that asked for.

There were kids running in the halls till way past 11:30pm and no one came to tell them to stop. I know we weren’t the only ones that were disturbed by this as we heard others at checkout were making the same complaint.
Pool was not very clean. The water was cloudy.

A few positive things- my child loved the water slide. All in all the room was ok. Carpet were stained. Beds were clean and comfortable.

The only reason I’m giving a 2 star is because the lady working the breakfast area refilling the stations was nice to me and the guy at the desk when checking out was nice. Breakfast was pretty good.

Sadly disappointed with the stay for the money it cost to stay there and especially since we were locals and wanted to spend a night there for my child’s birthday to enjoy the waterslides. Try v to support local businesses.

If you are going to close the pool from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Mondays & Wednesdays for private swimming lesson through V V Aquatics, then let Expedia know and post it on your website. We picked this location due to the pool / water slide and my young son was heartbroken when we were not allowed to use the pool during our stay (he's 8yrs old so bedtime is early) while the private lessons were going on. No notice at the front desk - nothing to advise paying guests.

It was great, except for the fact that my phone had no dial tone so i couldnt call front desk to complain about the boys running up and down the hall. They were playing ding dong ditch and were extremely loud. They locked one of their friends out and he kept banging on their door, it was a scary sound to wake up to after 12am.
