This is a very cool hotel, just at the edge of the old town. The breakfast room is amazing - it's like being in a medieval pub. It would be fun to eat there in winter, with the fire going in the fireplace. The breakfast options were great. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel was quiet. Would stay there again!

Very clean room, modern bathroom with beautiful floor tiles. Very good breakfast that was included in booking. Hotel offered an airport transfer and driver was waiting for us in arrivals, which made for an excellent end to our journey. Hotel is very central and is just outside of city walls, would use this hotel again.

I loved the huge soaking tub and the location of the hotel. The bus and tram stops were right there and the old town was within walking distance. Breakfast was alright. Our room was strangely located directly on the main stairwell, while every other room was through a door and down a corridor. This meant you could hear people as they were going up and down the stairs. However, I would still recommend this hotel.

Hotel Santa Barbara was very conveniently located just across the road from Freedom Square in the old town. Staff were incredibly helpful especially on reception where they booked taxis for me and loaned me the phone to deal with a flight problem. Thank you.
Beds and pillows were super comfortable so we had some great sleeps. Internally the hotel was very quiet though we had some screeching from seagulls outside.
I think small improvements could be made to breakfast which wouldn't cost much: some granola would be number one on the list.
Overall we loved this hotel and would return.

St Barbara is a smaller hotel just outside the Old Town walls. We found it easy to walk to all the major attractions. The area was safe. There is on site parking. Buffet breakfast daily. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were quiet.

The location was just perfect, 2 minute walk to the old town but quiet. The room was very cosy and comfortable and the breakfast had a good choice. The staff were really kind and helpful, especially a brunette with frizzy/curly hair who worked during breakfast; she gave us a little tour and history of the hotel and allowed us to use a normally locked room for breakfast one morning, always had a smile and happy to chat. Overall we had a fantastic stay.

Great value for a convenient hotel

3 night stay during the period of the Christmas market. A really comfortable hotel close to the Old Town which proved to be a great location for visiting the city. The room was clean and absolutely perfect for our stay. Breakfast was served in the basement area and offered a good choice of hot or cold items. We were able to transfer easily from the airport at 14 Euros.This hotel represented great value for money for our 3 night stay. Thank you

A lovely hotel just a short walk from the old town. Real olde world feel. Excellent reception staff - couldn’t do enough. The hotel had an amazing buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. The only downside was that the bier Keller was still advertised but this is now closed except for breakfast. We’d definitely go back.

Nice stay and nice hotel. But the personal in brekfast whas like stone face. When things whas out, we informed many times but got a werry bad answer back \" taht we have acctualy over 100 guest in hotel \" So what do that have to do so the staff must bee unfrendly. Only one person accted good, that is i thing the manager of brakfast. She always say good morning and with a smile. All outhers, like stone face and pressed them self thru guest like arrogant way.

The property was in a good location for viewing the Old City and very clean. Staff were pleasant on check in. The rooms do not have air conditioning and it was very hot. Also, the screen beside the bath was set out from the bath and when you had a shower the bathroom flooded. It would have been good to have some advice on local eateries

Great value with friendly service in a historic building. It is very walkable to Tallinn old town. It is a bit far from the ferry terminal or the bus station. However, Bolt is very convenient and reasonable. The room we stayed on the top floor did not have air conditioning but we were able to get some fans. It might be challenging during hotter days. There was no laundry service nearby and the hotel can generate more income by installing coin operated washers and dryers. Breakfast was adequate and of great value included in the reasonable room rate.

This hotel was really well situated to the old town. The room was comfortable, however we did find it exceptionally warm. Unfortunately with the windows open the train noise was very loud so sleeping wasn’t the most comfortable. Breakfast had excellent variety and quality so it was a great start to each day.

The hotel is conveniently located to the old town and public transportation. The staff was very friendly and they acknowledged my VIP status with Expedia. That is the first time it has EVER happened. We did not receive a room upgrade we did get a free drink and parking (but we didn’t have a car). The room was rather hot though especially since my room was facing west. The afternoon sun made our room very warm. The breakfast nook is incredibly charming and the food was sufficient.

Good value hotel in very good location, close to Toompea Hill, Freedom Square ,& the Lower Town. It's also close to a tram stop which we used to get to & from the airport.

We arrived around noon but unfortunately our room wasnt ready so we went for a walk. Our room was very comfortable- furniture & decor in the main room was bit tired but fine - and clean. The bathroom was more modern & had a great bath & shower. It was lovely having hot bath after coming in from the cold! I didnt see a hairdryer which would havd been nice & although there was a kettle, only herbal tea was offered. I wished I'd packed some coffee & milk sachets..

Breakfast was very hit & miss. I'd read previous comments about this before so it wasnt a surprise but it is frustrating that management don't seem to take fhe comments onboard & address issues. As others have said, things run out & then either take too long fo be replaced or have totally run out! For instance there was no orange juice (surely a staple item at breakfast) on our second morning. I asked & the lovely waitress brought me the last of it in the container explaining there wasnt enough to put out a jug. There was none on the third morning. Similarly with croissants, it took a long time to replacd them on our second morning & there were none at all on our third. I could go on wifh examples of lipton tea, cheese, ham etc but you get the picture. There was different friit every day eg passionfruit, kiwis which was nice.

I would recommend this hotel as it was conveniently located and good value for money. The positives were the room, the breakfast and the helpfulness of the staff. It was also openly inclusive and welcoming of LGBTQ guests, which I hadn’t seen before and is very positive. The down side was that it didn’t have air conditioning and was very hot. They provided fans, but I don’t think these help much. The weather was unusually hot, so I was told, so perhaps not an issue for most of the year. The other thing that wasn’t good was the bathroom. The tiles looked much like Soviet public toilet and the set up of a bath with a shower curtain is a bit outdated, and the shower hose ran hot and cold, so overall this needs to be improved. Our friends bathroom was refurbished and much better, so I think it’s something they are working on. Not ideal, but it did not detract from the overall positive experience of both the hotel and Tallinn.

St Barbara is a very accessible and friendly place to stay in Tallinn. The staff was great, offering help with directions, loaning me an electricity converter, etc. The breakfast was wide-ranging in choices and very good. Overall a great experience.

The hotel employes are nice and helpful. The only issue I have is that they state they have laundry facilities and dry cleaning services. They don't have either one so make sure you have enough clothes. Also, not a lot of choices of restaurants close by, you need to venture out a bit.

Location of hotel is excellent. It is in hearth of Tallinn, and still on quiet road.
Room was nice and had high ceiling. However, hotel needs better management. For example, water from bath flooded whole bathroom. When having breakfaat, many things were finished, and they didnt bring more.
The most hilarious was elevator...check out is at 12, so if you miss that, your card dont work...ok, kind of ok, except if you cant get to ground floor any more to do the check ou, you have catch 22. What on earth are they thinkin??? 😂😂😂

When i was first looking up this hotel i thought the rooms looked gloomy and was slightly concerned but when you get there they are better than the photos and so comfortable, the staff are lovely especially Larissa and they allowed us to check in early, and were really helpful , breakfast was adequate but never enough scrambled egg which was very popular , the only downside was the beer kellar was not open during our stay but we were able to have drinks in reception, the hotel is in a great central location to the old town and the beautiful Chritmas market , i would definitely stay there again , the hotel is a unique lovely building.

Really great staff and service.

I had a great stay here. The check in was so easy, the staff were able to provide anything that was needed. There was always somebody on the desk ready to help.

I arrived late for breakfast one morning and the ladies were so kind as to give me a plate of hot food anyway. They were just great. They were also happy to provide me with an umbrella when it was raining and an iron when needed. Great service!

The beds are comfortable, room has everything you need.

Great location for both new and old town. Breakfast was good. Staff on the front desk were friendly. Rooms were great - we had a lovely family room. A shame the restaurant was shut in the evenings (we were feeling lazy one night) but we ended up discovering a wonderful pub a 5 minute walk away :)

My wife chose in for its romantic beer Keller. It was closed apart from when breakfast was served. Temperature on arrival - 15 and - 10 for next two nights yet no access to hot drinks after breakfast until final night when supplied with kettle though no tea, milk etc. Very disappointing stay.
