The facility was totally misrepresented in Expedia. Based on the descriptions and photos and the 9.2 rating, we booked 7 nights in a “premier” room. The room we were given did not look even remotely like the photos. The “shower” was a cloth wrap around a free standing tub—away from walls with no grab bars, no place for soap/shampoo. The bathroom was a step down from the bedroom. My wife stumbled to her knees when she got up to use the bathroom at night because she missed the step in the dark. The air conditioner was a window unit with a very loud noise level. In the morning, my wife went to the attached screened porch and was sustained several insect bites. When we went to the office at 9 am, nobody was on site. We decided to leave after the first night and move to another hotel. Expedia did contact the property and we were credited for one night. To date (one week later), there has not been any credit given for the 6 unused nights. No apology from the hotel. Nothing. If what we got was a “premier” room, I can’t imagine what a standard room is like. The pictures were totally misleading. The only reason we didn’t give the lowest rating is because, to be fair, the bed was nice and comfortable and the property setting was nice.
