Great location just north of Anchorage for a quiet stay but close enough to the city activities, airport, and train station. The room had a kitchenette and was extremely clean. The staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Pristine room and bathroom! Staff was so friendly which was much appreciated after a 7 hour drive. We really enjoyed the new and nicely rennovated rooms and felt the beds/pillows were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to our family and friends!

It was a nice hotel. More like a motel as the room doors open to the outside. Looks nicely remodeled and bed was comfortable. The carpet had a few stains but it was clean. For Alaska it’s a very comfortable hotel and way cleaner than even high dollar ones. I will say my hubby uses a ramp or elevator, although we were in second floor, there was no handicap ramp or rails in the roo we stayed in. The stair case has very low step height, so not too bad for him to make it up the stairs. It is split level, so even the first floor had about 4-5 steps down. The bathroom was very clean and shower only- so that is a plus. Would stay here again, but maybe if guaranteed a first or second floor room. I’m not sure he could do the third floor. Safe area in Eagle River and parking was adequate.

We had a good stay. Newly renovated property. Had everything we needed. No breakfast. A bit expensive still but everything is in Alaska. The front desk gave us a great tip to go see Hatchers Pass. It was perfect and so beautiful!

Review for Eagle River
My recent stay at the Twin Peak Lodge was unfortunately impacted by a significant issue with the room's lighting. The streetlights just outside the hotel are extremely bright at night, and the curtains in our room did not effectively block the light. There were noticeable gaps at the edges of the curtains, allowing a substantial amount of light to leak into the room.
This intense light pollution severely disrupted our sleep. Our child had a very difficult time settling down, and as adults, we woke up multiple times throughout the night. The strong light made it nearly impossible to get the rest we needed. For anyone sensitive to light, this could be a major problem.
I hope the hotel management can address this issue, perhaps by installing blackout curtains that fully cover the windows. A good night's sleep is a fundamental part of any hotel stay, and this was unfortunately lacking during our visit.

Staff was never at front desk, location was not what you would expect when it is called a lodge. No coffee in lobby, vending machines, laundry. Came in 40 minutes early and they refused to check me in saying it was being cleaned. Sat in parking lot for 40 minutes and no cleaning staff in sight. Could see a mountain as advertised but it is located in the middle of housing and a school with some industrial building being worked on behind it. If i could have cancelled and went somewhere else i would have. Rooms were very nice however, i will give them a thumbs up on that at least.

My reservation was for "1 King Bed, Mountain View". When we arrived, we found that we had been assigned a basement room, 3-4 feet below the street level, with a view of lower parts of parked cars.

I talked to the reception agent about this. And showed her the reservation. She was not able to help or make a change. The person I called at Expedia customer service also called them for me (I really appreciated this). The property owner refused to make any changes and refused to refund any part of the costs.

The reservation was for 6 days. I would have been happy to pay for the first night's costs and cancel. Or even a partial refund. Or a change of room. None of these were possible. In the end, we left and made a reservation in another hotel in Anchorage for the same period.

Great Hotel in quiet area in town

Quick trip up for Costco run. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean and so easy in and out of shower.
Only drawback is all the rooms you have to use steps or staircases. No ramp for wheelchairs. Staff were very accommodating and were happy to help us carry our bags up (they asked if we needed help) but we were good. Stayed on top floor- had an AC - room was very comfortable for us Alaskans and we didn’t really need it. Large and spacious room and nice amenities (micro, fridge, individual and nice shower and soap - not the dispenser kind) that exceeded our expectations. Would stay here again. And again.

When we first walked in, the room looked nice. Then my son pulled out the sofa bed. It was terrible, the mattress dirty, & the frame was broken. There were no sheets, blanket or quilt for the pull out bed even though they knew 3 people were coming. When we asked for bedding for the pullout, she brought up 1 blanket & nothing else! The full length mirror in the bathroom is directly across from the toilet, no one wants that! It was awful!!!

Nice property in a very convenient location very close to the state park. Our room was very clean and comfortable. It was only 30 minutes drive from Anchorage airport. They do keep a deposit of $250, I got it back in two days. Will recommend this property.

We stayed at Eagle River Lodge for 4 days for business. Our executive room was a good size and super clean. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The kitchnette was a plus. The only suggestion, I have is maybe having a coffee table or a small table to have meals on. There is a kitchnette but no table to eat on was kind of weird but still a great place to stay. We would definitely stay here again.
