Didnt end up staying. The first issue we had was nobody explained how parking worked when we checked in. We had to ask questions after parking (which is when we saw the sign that you had to pay to park each day). This property is nowhere near any other properties so having to pay a daily rate to park on top of room rates was crazy. Once we got to our room we noticed a lot of outside noise like the window was open. We walked over to the window and the window frame was rotted. There was big gap where it rotted amd you could see the outside. They had tried to put black tap to cover it up and there was rusted nails. Because of the hole there was dirt covering the inside of window and surrounding areas. When i showed the front desk the pics of window she asked me to text her the pics when she could have easily went up to the room to inspect and take her own pics. Also the screen on the lower window wasnt even secured and in place. It was just leaning up against the window.

1st... the AC in our room was broke, the fan made a horrible noise. I contacted the front desk and they only said well let us know if it becomes a problem. We booked a room for 5 guests, it had one king bed and one pull out sofa. There was zero bedding for the sofa bed. The balcony was dirty and not kept up at all. The pool was closed saturday morning for cleaning. WHY??? would a hotel with guests with kids clean their pool on a Saturday Morning? There were several guests trying to take their kids and it was closed for hours.

It is a beautiful resort and we overall enjoyed it but anyone planning on staying there needs to be aware that there is a resort fee and on top of that a parking fee which for Branson was very unexpected since no other place charges Parking fees that I’m aware of, not even the theme park. It is a beautiful resort, but is very difficult to get information on the amenities. If you ask about information, they just tell you to look on the website which also is very ambiguous and not helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, but only after having to talk to various multiple staff/management. We actually received more information from other customers, who had same concerns, so they told us about things we didn’t know about, and we ended up telling them about things they didn’t know about.
I don’t know that we would ever stay there again since it is higher cost than many others in the area, especially since they charge a ridiculous parking fee on top of the resort fee.

People in the frot desk no friendly at all... The Star only is for the ladies on the Spa they very sweet! and steam room was broken,
Room smells humidity and air run bad... Extremely cold or extremely hot, go somewhere else better, bad choice for a romantic escape!

I came here as a kid, and it was the best hotel I’ve ever been to, so I waited over a decade to come back with my own family, but was disappointed with our experience.

They now charge for parking at the hotel which was not mentioned before our stay, not a huge deal, but we are a one income household, and it wasn’t in our budget for this trip. Check-in was easy and staff was friendly.

We get into our room and are met with a very bad odor. The bathroom looked like housekeeping forgot to set it up for the next guest. We did not have a bar of soap, no face towels or body wash so I had to go back down to the desk to ask for those things. The toilet bowl was a little dirty, and there was food on the floor.

Thankfully, one of the employees had texted me asking how the stay was going so far and I let them know and they quickly upgraded our room for us, which I am so thankful for.

Our new room smelled much better, we had a beautiful view with a balcony, and our bathroom was fully stocked. We spent the rest of the night enjoying the patio and then went to bed because we were exhausted.
When we woke up the next morning, I noticed our blankets and sheets were dirty and covered in dark stuff. That touched my toddler’s face and I don’t know what it was. I am pretty grossed out.

For the price we paid for the stay, drinks and food vs the amount of disappointment we experienced, I don’t think I will be back, unfortunately.

Civilization out in the middle.The property is for the most part in disrepair. The t v in the bedroom only came on in black and white, the air conditioner did not work properly, the it makes hotels hot tub jets were only fifty percent working. This property charges and boasts way too much for the condition.It is in.

I’ve stayed at this property over 20 times in the last 20 years, and it has never been updated. Property is showing its age, and now they want to charge for parking. Very disappointed that this property hasn’t kept up with the times and terms of the decor, amenities, and overall freshness. This property has the potential of being one of the nicest places to stay in a community that is predominantly rundown. They need to go over the top in terms of taking care of their customer if they are going to continue charging the rates they charge, instead of nickel and dime’ing everything they can just to charge the customer

The room was dusted, and floors hadn't been vacuum ever. Had a dirty odor. Iron not working. Notified staff 3 times, didn’t get one. We had to wear wrinkled clothes the whole time there. Bathroom mirror you could write your name one it from glass had so much scum on it. I will neved spend 871.00 to stay in a place for 3 nights and it was a a dirty MESSY! I wish I could get my money back. I have stayed here 3 times over the last 5 or 6 yrs and it was the best. Never again would I stay here nor recommend anyone to this place. 😕

It was stated that check-in is at 4:00pm. We arrived at 6:00pm and were told our room was not ready and to check back in an hour. We came back at 7:30pm and were able to check in but when we entered our room it appeared that it had never been cleaned from the previous occupants. We hauled our luggage back down from the 8th floor, were given a new room but then were presented with what appeared to be blood droplets all over the comforter once we pulled it back. (I took multiple pictures). Just an overall bad experience for a place you expect to be great. Very disappointed.

Beautiful old hotel, but could use some refreshing; not that anything was tattered looking, but definitely dated. Staff was wonderful, especially Ben. Slightly disappointed when housekeeping overlooked our room one day, after a few different requests. Also disappointed that the bar and restaurant hours were very limited at this time of the year. The location was great and the views were stunning! Overall I would recommend this hotel!

We arrived Friday night. Saturday morning breakfast buffet was very simple, not even as good as a Holiday Inn Express and was 21.95 per person. There was a big dance conference at the hotel this weekend so even though it is off-season the hotel was very full. The bar that evening had no wait staff, just a bartender and a bar back. The bar was packed. On Sunday housekeeping didn’t clean our room. After 2 inquiries with the front desk we ended up coming down to get toilet paper. The entire experience was terrible. They know the hotel is full so how can they not staff appropriately.

Nice big room since we needed a pullout couch also. LOVED the 2nd sink. That was such an amazing feature. So often when we travel we wish the sink was at least outside the bathroom, but to have two was fantastic with multiple girls getting ready. Staff were all so friendly and so nice to have bellmen take load/unload luggage from car and into the room. We always love staying at the Chateau. Dance convention this time but we've enjoyed staying there just for fun also. The movie theatre is always a special treat. Love the west shop for salads and sandwiches for lunch, drinks, ice cream. Beautiful courtyard. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Pricing of the stay is not completely transparent per the Expedia listing. Check their official website for resort fees and parking rates, as parking was 80% more than expected during the stay. Other than that, the experience was great. The lobby was festive during the Christmas season, which was enjoyable. The staff was kind and completely accommodating. The room and amenities were as great as expected.

After being put in a back corner handicap-accessible room, we complained. (they said that's how we reserved it on Hotels.com. NOT) We ended up in a top-floor suite. Amazing! We have always loved this lobby as it has a full waterfall in the center of the hotel with the rooms all facing it! Plus, the Christmas decorations were beautiful!
However, we were highly disappointed that the library bar was closed. BOOHISS!

The resort was beautiful! We had dinner at the restaurant inside, and it was spectacular. Honestly very well priced what the room we stayed in and the amenities that were on site. Only reason I give it 4/5 stars is because the pool / hot tub was shut down for the entirety of our stay. Which is not in control of anyone, things happen, I understand that. I was just really looking forward to the hot tub. During the summer time, we will for sure be back!

The team did the best that they could to help us out, but the room was 84 degrees and the air conditioner didn’t work. They tried to help and switch us rooms, but didn’t realize it didn’t have a pull out sofa bed and it hadn’t been cleaned from the previous stay. We ended up having to switch hotels. No return call as message stated either. No body wash in room... went to desk to request some for the family and the help stated it would HAVE to be delivered by services... none ever came! Family almost emptied the shampoo due to using it as body wash! Silly to have to pay $15 to park when you just paid $300 a night for the room and another $30 for resort fees...( sleeping there and buying over-priced coffee and pastries for breakfast) Beautiful place but it was our Family's first and last stay.

Arrived Dec 16, 2025 with three suites booked through Hotels.com—and the front desk couldn’t find the reservation. After a 45-minute wait, an employee who said she normally works in accounting (and rarely covers the desk) stepped in because the general manager couldn’t be reached. She agreed to honor the Hotels.com rate of $183.63/night (which was shown as including taxes and resort fees).

Then it got worse: there was no valet/bell staff available, so they called a maintenance employee to help with luggage. When we finally got to the room, it was 64°F—freezing—and the next several hours felt like a “Frozen” sequel. The rooms are dated, the property feels understaffed, and the thermostat appeared preset/locked so we couldn’t comfortably adjust the temperature.

At checkout, they tried to increase the nightly rate by ~20% and add taxes/resort fees again. I disputed the charges and was told my card would not be charged and that someone would call me first. Instead, three days after we left, they charged the full disputed amount anyway.

I recently stayed at the Château on the Lake in Branson, and unfortunately, our experience was pretty disappointing. The rooms felt very outdated and in need of a refresh. On top of that, we had a pretty chaotic experience when the smoke alarm went off at midnight on the first night. We had to evacuate outside, and no one informed us when it was safe to go back in or gave us any clear instructions. It felt really unorganized and definitely not up to the standard we expected. Lastly we had to purchase coffee from the Sweet Shop everyday because the coffee maker in my room was dirty.

The Bellman staff was great too! I had valet parking and I forgot some things in the vehicle that I needed two different times after he parked it. He was very kind about it each time!

The room was dirty upon arrival. There was trash on the desk, rings from drink on the table and i could draw a line through the dust on the bedside tables and lamps.
The water pressure from the sink was a trickle. They also charge for parking. They take ownership but not responsibility of the parking lot. There is also only one entrance to the hotel. We had to park half a mile away in a dark parking lot and walk around to the front door. With all the options in Branson, stay somewhere else.

i wanted to stay in this hotel since they built it. I was finally able to go with a black friday coupon. I was so disappointed. First of all I have difficulty walking and they put me in a handicap room as far away from the elevators possible. also the room was freezing cold even when they got the boiler fixed. the staff was great. but the movie theater was an ice box. and the wrong movie. I reallu felt that staying in a Drury inn had more appeal and to spend this extra money ($28 hotel daily fees on top of reservation) Plus parking fees which they were nice enough to wave for me being handicaped. the pool was ok but the hot tub did not get hot jsut warm. all together i can only say i was highly disappointed in the hotel. but the staff was wonderful.

I had acid reflux one night around 10 and went down to try to find some milk. The sweet shop was closed as well as the restaurant. There was a man standing behind the podium and I asked him. Kitchen was closed but he said the bar could help me. The bartender didn’t have any but she called the other bartender who apparently had a key to the sweet shop and she came back with a bottle of milk for me. Really saved the night. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Great stay.

Bellman didn’t offer to help with luggage. We had two reservations and had previously spoke with manager and she said she would merge the two. Arrived and said manager had not and the lady that night at check in told us we had come back down next day and get new keys. Rooms smelled of body odor. Way understaffed and rooms weren’t all that clean. Day lady was really nice and took care of our problem and apologized for the night check in lady. Rooms need updating bad. We have always stayed her in the past but won’t be back !
