The room appeared clean but had a very musty smell. The mini fridge didn't work but the room ac was super cold which was really nice. I did not address the frig as i was just there to sleep and have a place to leave my things while i did what i need ro do while in town. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is pet friendly which is was great as I had my dog with me. There was no extra charge for her. They do charge $15 per night for a second pet per the sign in the office. While its no 5 star hotel it was worth the low rate and i would stay here again.

We got there late at night and they tried to claim that just because we booked 2 double rooms that we weren’t guaranteed 2 double rooms and would have to settle for a single king and a double. They tried to say we should have called to confirm booking(we did 3 times no answer). After figuring out that in would sleep with my friend in the king room and my wife and kids would take the two doubles magically two doubles appeared “because you have a wife and two kids”. The location was loud and felt unsafe. The shower rod was just dangling there. AC didn’t work well at all. Faucet leaked non stop. Found hair in our shower. Bed was ok pillows were trash. I’m just glad that it was for one night and not more. If I could give zero stars I would.

We had three rooms booked for 1 night. Literally each room had roaches everywhere. I told the gentlemen at the front and he switched one of our rooms (to a room that he manually had to open since a key would not open it), and this room also had roaches everywhere. It was too late to book anywhere else so we had to stay. Blood stains on the sheets. Absolutely filthy blankets in every room. Hard to believe this place isn’t condemned. I never leave reviews but had to. Avoid this place at all costs.

We checked into our room and upon entering the room, we QUICKLY realized that the room is FLITHY. Not dirty, FILTHY.
The floors and beds feel like someone dumped a whole bucket of sand on them.
The air conditioner is hardly working, there is no remote for the TV, and yet somehow the gentleman at the front claims to be "doing us a favor by not canceling our booking" prior to our arrival.
Booked a room for 4 and only given 2 towels and there was ZERO soap in the entire room.

The room was clean and was indeed OK.
However, when the AC started I could hear a low pitch noise from the compressor that radiated into the walls. I did report it to the office but no response. The toilet needed plunging with every use, a couple of the towels had holes in them from wear but they were clean. There was no complimentary breakfast or coffee. The nearest real restaurants are 13 miles in either direction. The lawn area needed mowing of mostly weeds. Overall, not the best Red Roof Inn. It was acceptable but that is the best I can say. If all you want is just a spot to sleep, go there.

I’ve stayed in this hotel a few times every time was good until now. This time was horrible. Wasted a lot of money because they would not refund and we didn’t even stay, found somewhere else. I had 2 rooms, out of the first 2 rooms both rooms had stains on the bedding and cigarette burn holes in the sheets, the sink was constantly running in one room, the bath tub was running in the other which was hot water and the bathroom was humid the tub was moldy from the constant running hot water, the front of the AC was broke in one room and no toilet paper in one room and very rusty lamps. Complained, host said this was normal. Normal, are you kidding. Showed him pictures of the room, he gave us another room. This room was no better. Stains on the bedding, couple blood spots on the bathroom door, and the toilet was messed up in this room. I had my grandkids and this is not a clean environment for kids. I have pictures and I will contacting there cooperate office and the BBB. I would ask to look at your room before paying. I would not prebook this hotel. Pictures do not show how filthy I think it was.

I guess they have certain rooms destined for hotels.com, they "lower" the price and you will find a real disaster. They don't even bother to turn on the A/C, when we arrived the room was an oven, minutes later it was unbearable to be there, we realized that the A/C did not cool. The bathroom extractor was a hole in the wall, everything looked ugly, old and unpainted. I had to go down looking for someone because the phone doesn't work. He changed us to another room, it looked different like newly remodeled but without a refrigerator or microwave, the man brought those that were in the other room. The room was for 4 with towels, shampoo and soap for 2, the towels old and worn (almost transparent). He said he couldn't give me more than that, that it was regulation of KRISHA RB INC for the price we were paying ($82.50). I've never encountered anything like this. When we had to sleep we found hairs on the sheets, something like they didn't change them after someone else used them. It was really unpleasant and disgusting, we had to stay because it was late and we were too tired to continue driving. I want my money back, they shouldn't offer this that can't even be called a hotel. The license for this place has expired, it's supposed to be illegal for them to operate without a license and even worse for them to advertise anywhere. Here is the data LICENSE NUMBER: MOT7601849

Storm Avoidance Trip - Defuniak Springs FL

An adequate property for an overnight stay. It is somewhat isolated, sharing an area with a neighboring RV dealer at the end of a shared road off a highway. A very secure area as described by the gentleman who checked us in. Room was clean, bed comfortable and everything worked as it should. Unfortunately, during our one night stay, the Wi-Fi was down. No breakfast is offered. Although the property is described as being at Defuniak Springs FL, the town proper is several miles to the east. Parking is ample and basically "by the door."

We checked in at 1am on Wednesday morning oct 8/9th while evacuating for hurricane milton, I love that they allow pets because this was the last hotel with one room left and with a dog was a life saver, we went into our room and the heater setting was on and it was way too hot, we tried to turn it to AC mode and it just never got cool, we laid ontop of the bed since it was so hot and slept then left early in morning since it was cooler outside than the room. Would stay again but very disappointed and dissatisfied with the air conditioning in our room. Staff said they’d “make note” but I think they should compensate for not having AC.
