Very nice hotel conveniently located near the Pompeii ruins. Our only significant complaint was that the toilet did not flush well. Lots of water but not everything would go down. Very annoying. Bad design and nothing the staff could fix without replacing the toilet.

Otherwise we had a nice stay. Our room faced the street but was quiet. Breakfast was good but not great. Staff were helped us find nearby restaurants that were good and arranged for our taxi to the train station.

The Hotel was very clean and front staff very friendly. The breakfast was excellent, all fresh hane made pastries and excellent spread for a morning meal. The Staff in the breakfast area was exceptional. I did not catch the ladies name who was in charge but she was very accommodating to our needs of having to be on our transit bus at 7:05am. She made the stay very special and I will definitely be returing to stay again to spend more time in Pompeii. I would recommend to all.

The welcome and the atmosphere were superb, especially at breakfast. all staff were friendly and helpful. The decor was wonderful, although corridors were a little tired. Location is great for the ruins. We saw the amphitheatre, and then the hotel was just over the road. Two quibbles: there was no coffee in the room and no toaster in the restaurant. But lovely cakes for breakfast!

Check in was good but the room felt a little run down and the noise level was high. I know that rooms have thin walls but they had put me on the first floor next to the lobby. I heard everything including the reception phone. I had to ask for another blanket because the heat wasn’t turning on in my room. I finally got it to go but then my shower water was freezing the first night so I had to ask about that too. The best part of this hotel is the breakfast and the manager at breakfast. She was extremely kind and friendly. Food was good aswell.

The hotel staff at reception, cafe and manager were friendly and attended to any questions/concerns we had, very good can't fault them. Some staff in the restaurant were not attentive at the bar and were not welcoming, not even a smile from many. Over all the hotel was comfortable, clean and the food was good, room was good, very comfortable. Would go back again.

Check in was great. Very efficient and fast and the front desk is pleasant. We have a view room of pompei but the outside is getting renovated which we didn't know and there's no view and can't use the balcony. The decor and style is dated but the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is clean and good. This hotel is located to a very close and less popular gate to pompei and a short walk to three restaurants and piazza.

Perfect location for visiting the ruins. Only a few minutes walk to Pompeii train station if you want to go to Herculaneum and 10 mins walk to Pompeii Scavi train station if you want to visit Sorrento.
Staff very friendly and extremely helpful.

The place was under renovations was completed covered zero like the pictures given to me. The picture was showing the Vesuvio from the window but because the building was covered could not see anything. I was NOT TOLD of the construction. The bide in the bathroom was full of rust and also the soap dispenser full of rust. Good value for the money.
The staff are faultless, every request was actioned straight away, they were all helpful. One evening I hadn't booked a table for dinner, I had forgot, they called me to ask and made the reservation. The staff in the restaurant attached to the hotel were just as good. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. It is literally across the road from the ruins, near three stations, and the bus stop is outside. Close to bars restaurants and bars. There are a handful of things that would make this place amazing, furniture on the balcony, proper cups in the room, little pots of milk, and descale the showers. The breakfast is ok, I've had worse I've had better. But the coffee and pastries were great. If I were to go back to Pompeii, this would be the first I would look to book.

The property is well-maintained and clean. Although my room wasn’t the most visually appealing, it was tidy and properly kept. The breakfast staff were exceptional—friendly and welcoming to all guests. Overall, the service was satisfactory for the majority of my stay. However, I encountered an issue with the transportation to the airport. I was initially quoted a fare of €80-90, but the car service arranged by the hotel charged nearly double that amount. When I contacted the hotel to inquire about this discrepancy and seek assistance, I was told that I should resolve the issue myself, as \"we don’t own the taxi company.\" This response was disappointing, especially since the transportation option was recommended by the hotel. Given this, I would not consider my experience reflective of a four-star standard of service.

Extensive exterior refurb meant lots of scaffolding and the breakfast room looking over the ruins was closed which was disappointing.
Standard room with single beds pushed together which isn’t ideal. Air con was excellent as was breakfast.
Shower was at best functional, needing a soak in limescale remover to unblock the head.
I would stay here again but would consider an upgraded room.

I would like to start off by saying this is a bait and switch. Portion of the room an are done so me are fun down. We were given a room that did not lol like the one we made a reservation for. Up on arrival, t hey switched our room. I felt targeted and not appreciated. The view was over looking steel ledge wh I h was not part of our original reservations. Good base for business travel or tourist pleasure

Sewage smell near exit to parking lot OVERWHELMING....and this is only end of April, can't imagine summer. People looking for a good bang for your buck, should try Corallo Restaurant or Zi Caterina down the street toward the the Shrine of Pompeii. Double the amount of delicious food, nice family people and much less cost than hotel restaurant.
If you are business customers as we are, water should be offered in the hotel for a 7 day stay, not get berated at the hotel restaurant for bringing our own new bottle from the 6 pack we had to buy from the grocery store. Do the math for 2 people if having to purchase water from the hotel or on the street.
Breakfast staff outstanding gracious and cordial as well as front desk staff. Some healthier variety at breakfast would be splendid. Cucumbers, fruit salad, grain salad, oatmeal, healthier cereals like muesli would be a great changeout. The room cleaning staff were very accomodating about working around my work-in-the-room schedule.

Made a mistake booking the economy room and that was not good plus outside there was scaffolding so maybe they were preparing for the holiday season. In the evening a private party (Monday night) was so loud it kept going until after midnight and the hotel did nothing to try and restrict the noise level so in my opinion they didn't care about the guests. This was not what we thoight it would be so never again!

Located at South Entrance to Pompeii Park. Awesome breakfast room view of ruins and Vesuvius. Hostess Ornella brightens the day. Short 15 min walk to Sorrento train. Great pizza in attached restaurant but cocktails were not good. Had an elevator!
Had to ask housekeeping not to spray strong fragrance in our room.

The staff were not very welcoming. The room they allocated us was a smoking room and absolutely stank even though I always choose none smoking as I have allergies. I asked to be moved to a none smoking and they did oblige so our stay wasn't completely ruined. The shower door was mouldy and there were some sharp bolts sticking out of the wall near the bidet which cut my leg so not the best experience.
We are in their restaurant which they recommend. All but one staff were very miserable and we felt like they didn't want to serve us. The food we ordered wasn't that nice either so we hardly ate anything and wasn't impressed at all.
Breakfast on the 4th floor was however very nice with views over the ruins and plenty of choices to eat.

We stayed at Hotel del sole for 3 nights. Hotel is directly opposite the Pompeii ruins, excellent restaurants and shops. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel where staff were really helpful, food was amazing and service was excellent.
Staff at the hotel could've do enough for us, so much effort put in to making our stay memorable. Room was clean and comfortable, cleaned every day. Staff at breakfast were so friendly and breakfast was fantastic! Breakfast room had a view over the ruins and vesuvious. We would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

It was my first time going to Pompeii and I booked this hotel for its proximity to the closest gate to the amphitheater. The hotel looked nice online but I didn’t know what to expect as I booked an economy room. It was amazing. I had a wonderful view off the balcony, the bed was super comfortable, the A/C worked amazing and the room was super cute. Also the breakfast was insanely good plus the breakfast area has views of Pompeii and Vesuvius. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It was a perfect day. I just arrived at my next hotel and had booked a premium room and I was sad to see it doesn’t even compare. Stay here if you can! You won’t be disappointed.

We loved the hotel and the very fitting decor the place was great all in all and the staff very helpful. They ordered us taxis. The hotel room was great we upgraded to the luxury suite and that had a bath with jets in the room which was a nice touch. The only thing I would say is that unfortunately being on the 3rd floor and directly below the breakfast dinning room you do get woken up to loud noises of tables and chairs being dragged about but not to big of an issue. Still a great place

We stayed here one night for an overnight visit to Pompeii. The hotel is situated directly across from the entrance gate to the archeological site, which is extremely convenient. In addition, all the restaurants and shops for the main centre of Pompeii are a few steps away. The hotel itself is average. Older style building, rooms and decor, however, very clean with what appear to be recently renovated bathrooms that were clean.

Free parking in the rear of the building through a gated and secure entrance.

Location and convenience can’t be beat.

What a cute little hotel right across the street from Pompeii ruins entrance. Room was nice but no balcony. Most rooms had them. Also a PARROT lived right below the hotel and squawked most of the day! Great view looking over the ruins but breakfast buffet was just okay. Was a 15 walk from the train station. Loved the restaurant attached to hotel, amazing staff and excellent food. Little market right beside hotel to buy gelato and beer! Would definitely stay here again

Water wasted with toilet flushing. Given fresh towels every day despite our hanging them to re-use. Given fresh soap every day. Our shower floor had holes in it where it was coming up! Was ceiling leaking below when we would shower? Bus people would eat all the food in breakfast buffet as soon as it was put out. Terrific location! Nice front desk staff!!

We stayed here for our time in Pompeii - which was about 48 hours. The staff was friendly and was very helpful. They helped us find a taxi to our scheduled wine tasting. We were also able to store our luggage on our last day while we explored the area. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was pretty good with pastries and a selection of other options. I'd stay here again.

Hotel location was convenient. The room itself was ok but there were a few issues. The shower grout wasn’t super clean - either needed a good scrub or a re-tile. There was also black mould on the back corner of our room. Another minor issue was that the room lights were very cool toned so it felt depressing turning on the lights at night.
The room came with breakfast. They had great bread and jam options plus great views and coffee.
