I loved this hotel. It was centrally situated close to shopping, restaurants, harbor, bus stops, grocery stores, I loved my room and comfortable bed. The breakfast was amazing! 11/10 on everything! I will recommend the Valentina to everyone. I will be back!

I stayed for one night and the room was adequately cleaned. I saw hair on the walls in the bathroom and stains on the bedding. I think a 3 star rating is befitting of the hotel. Food was left outside a room for more than 12 hours. The staff were incredibly helpful and the hotel smells lovely. It was a last minute booking but I doubt I’ll return.

The hotel was very nice, clean and rooms were nicely appointed for the price. Good value. Our first time in Malta and didn't realize how much of a party town St. Julians is, which isn't really what we were wanting. Nights and early mornings were noisy with partying outside. However, that was not the hotel and the hotel itself was very nice.

It is a nice hotel and generally a good stay. However, our first room was very noisy and it was almost impossible to sleep. I asked to change the room and the staff kindly moved us, but we were charged because they said we had booked an economy room and that changing the room meant upgrading to a higher category.

A great place to stay. The staff were all genuinely really lovely: helpful, courteous and polite.

The bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. The waiting area was spacious and comfortable and the reception bar staff checked if we wanted anything.

My only criticism, it would be nice if when the room was cleaned that they swapped out the tea and coffee sachets, milk pods etc. As per the discount given for not receiving room service every day, I only received room cleaning once and a few extra teabags would've been nice. Even on the days I didn't ask for cleaning I received a bag of towels and toiletries at the door though so that was nice.

As of 21/06/2026 the was a building site across the street that started work at 8am but this isn't the hotel's fault and unfortunately much of Malta has a good chance of the same.

Overall a great place to stay. Clean, comfortable, very central and best of all great staff.

I just want to say thank you so much for the wonderful time at your hotel. It is so welcoming, clean and the breakfast was out of this world. The location was also great. Thanks to the gentleman at the reception on Sunday morning that gave us directions on places to visit and was so patient with all my questions. He also handed us pretty flowers for the international women's day. You really made our day. He is also an assest to your organisation.

Unfortunately there was building work going on in the hotel and we were woken up on 2 mornings by hammering and drilling, before 7am which is too early and inconsiderate toward guests in my opinion. The hotel staff were friendly, professional and gave us ideas on different sights to see and explore the island.
Checking in there was an issue with bed which I requested 2 beds and again wasn’t communicated by Expedia as per front desk but was immediately resolved.(VIP access disappointing-Expedia customer service).
The hotel is a walking distance to dining/entertainment/shopping and few sights.
Breakfast could have been better with few options and a bit salty.
The room size is okay and was kept clean.

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, there is building work near the hotel but this is out of their control. The rooms are spacious and super clean with a beautiful design. The balcony had a lovely view however was a little small but this isn't an issue for us.
The room came with both AC & a fan which is a must for 30 degree weather.
All staff are extremely helpful and helped with luggage storage for our bags after checkout (with a ticketing system! Such a simple yet effective system).
The pool area is beautiful and sun lounges double up as seating for late night visits to the pool area - with a bar :)
The lifts are keycard activated and there's security at the front door to help keep out riff raff.
We also ordered room service and my girlfriend is still going on about how good the apple juice was. The food was delightful - our first time getting room service. Unfortunately I can't speak for the restaurant as we didn't eat here but I assume it would be just as good. The restaurant also has a lovely view over the front lounge.
Being in the heart of St Julians, we were worried about loud parties, etc however the sound isolation was superior and we had no issues with this our whole stay.
Overall I'm happy we spent the little bit extra per night to stay here over some of the cheaper options (The reviews speak for themselves)

The hotel is really nice and modern, in a great central location. Room was spotless, the bed was super comfy, and the shower was great. The pool area looks fantastic too and is a nice spot to relax.

That said, a few things did take away from the stay. The pool itself was cold, which was a shame. Noise was a big issue — loud rooftop music until 11pm on weekends, and then construction work next door kicking off at 7am with lots of banging, so sleep was pretty tough. Also, you’re not allowed to bring your room towel to the pool, and instead have to pick up a pool towel from reception and leave a €10 deposit, which just felt like a bit of a hassle.

Overall, it’s a clean, comfortable, and well-located hotel, but the noise and a couple of little annoyances definitely made it less relaxing than I’d hoped.

If you are not in Malta to party, be aware!

The hotel is very nice but I think it is worth warning future bookers of the location of the place. It is in St Julian which is the “party” area near Valletta. So if that is what you want, you’ll love it, but if you are after a quiet hotel to enjoy Malta, not so much. It was noisy at night and had poor sleep with party goers coming back early morning screaming, laughing and shouting in the corridor and lots of noise until 6-7am from the bars outside the hotel. Had 3 nights and slept poorly each of them. We shared that comment with other guests like us, who didn’t realise it was a party area in Malta. Hotel itself is very nice and staff are lovely. So if you plan to travel for partying, it will be perfect, otherwise, find a different place.

The area is convenient to transport and shopping at the Mercury Center; however the proximity to the ordinary and overcrowded St Julian area is deplorable! No redeeming value of the cheap & ordinary tourism which radiates to the area. Would not go back to Malta! Its history is the crossroads of civilizations; but it’s not attracting the best class of visitors.

This hotel is a little gem, although situated in the bustling St. Julian area, the hotel is away from all the bars and clubs. Thus guaranteeing good sleeps. Being at heart of St Julian, it is very close to bustling night life area, shopping area and beaches. The staffs has been super helpful and always there to help.

Staff were friendly and hotel was nice. We had a mattress topper on our bed that kept sliding off and you could see through the sheet that it wasn’t the cleanest. Our shower was also full of hairs but other than that cleanliness was good. Breakfast was lovely and the pool area was nice. I would say though we were on the 6th floor and we got woken up several times a night by drunk people shouting outside and then each morning at 7am by builders working on a hotel roof over the road. Overall the stay was ok but unfortunately we wouldn’t stay in this area again.

Very friendly service from all the staff throughout Very noisy at night from the bars opposite which went on until after 3am. I’m sure they would have moved me had I asked.
Really clean hotel and very modern facilities and very well located for the island. Free secure parking a nice touch. The bar was very nice too. Would have liked more than just the one wine by the glass at the bar. When all the construction is finished it will be even better still and I would stay there again.

The surrounding area wasn’t to our taste as a couple in our 30s as there are lots of bars/clubs and a much younger crowd on an evening. However, the restaurant at the end of the street (Primitivo) is amazing!
We didn’t let the location bother us too much as all places on the island are easy to commute to and overall the hotel was a great base to explore for 4 days.

Lovely hotel, a lot of building work going on in the vicinity but you couldn't hear it when the balcony doors were shut, very clean and staff very courteous, only negatives, pool a bit small to swim in especially as very busy and shallow. The tea bags were not replenished in the room, we had to keep asking and it would have been nice if the complimentary water was not just for the 1st day. Overall though a great hotel and location is handy to get to the beach and local transport, buses and amenities etc.

On the edge of a lively area, the clientele are quite young and it can be noisy at night. If sensitive to that take earplugs!

The hotel claims to have sound proof windows, but it’s not true. We could hear everything that was happening outside. The WORST part is the construction next door that apparently has been going on for six months. They start using the jack hammer at 7:30 AM till 5:30 PM, plus the noise outside is loud until 4:00 AM, so NO SLEEP! It’s so unfortunate because the hotel in it of itself is very pretty. We will not be returning to this property.
