The Hotel wreaked of cigarettes as soon as you walked into the lobby. There was nobody at the front desk and avec they showed up a really ugly argument ensued with another customer who's room smelled of cigarettes and wanted another room but they refused to accommodate him and his family. Police had to be called. I finally got to my room and is was disgusting, dirty and smelled of cigarettes. After seeing what just ensued with the other customer i decided to just leave and stay in another hotel thar was clean. This is the most disgusting dirty hotel i have ever seen!!

The staff (the owner) was doing his job fine. But, the place really needs to be renovated and cleaned up to the standard. The carpets throughout the hotel did not smell right. Once you walk in, you smell cigarettes. The breakfast choices are toasts and cereals. Very simple. The worst thing was the beds. The top cover and pillows were smelly and could not fall asleep easily. Had to put towels on the pillow to muffle the smell. I understand that the price was lower but had to meet the standard and at least offer a comfort to the guests. We could not walk around with bare feet on the carpet or felt anxious to sleep on the beds.

Very run down. Smells bad as soon as you enter. Horrible cigarette smell in my \"no smoking\" room. (There's a sign on the table that says \"no smoking\"). Next day, at the seminar that I was in town for, I felt itchiness on my neck. On my lunch break, I found red bumps on my neck. Itchy as hell. I called Expedia and asked for a refund of this horrible place. I told them I'd speak to the front desk first though. Apparently they called the hotel anyway because when I got there, this homeless looking front desk (maybe manager?) guy had a terrible attitude with me and said that he had checked me out (I was there to do that anyway), and I should grab my things and leave his hotel (that was my plan) because of the stunt that I pulled. I asked him to explain. He complained that I asked Expedia for a full refund. Well, no sh** Sherlock. Isnt' that what anyone would do after being fooled (by Expedia) into staying at a hell hole? He also said I tried to use the hotel as storage. ?? Isn't that what a hotel is? A place to leave (store) most of your things, while you go to work? Moron. I showed him my bug bites. He said it was from shaving. Total denial. And I hadn't shaved. As the day went on, the bites showed up above my eye and arms too. (I don't shave my arms you idiot). Anyway, this low class half-wit was very aggressive with me. I felt that if I said something wrong that he would get physical with me. I kept my cool and left. This place should not be in business.

I am not a picky person at all and I am very easy going. But I was shocked upon seeing the gross conditions at this hotel. I arrived about 2 am and was shocked to see the bed at my room. There were two large yellow stains at the middle and there were hairs on the bed sheets and pillow cases as well. I went back to the front desk to ask for another room, they gave me another room but that was no better. They said the first room was even better and said all bed sheets are washed. I was seriously concerned about the possibility of bed bugs or other health issues by using their bed or towels. I spent the night in my car and couldn’t even go back to the room to take a shower (due to my health concerns about using their towels as well). I left the key on their counter early in the morning not to go back even for my second night of stay. They refused a refund!

Most people tend to leave reviews if they've had an outstanding time or an unimaginably horrible time. Unfortunately this is for the latter.

We walked in seeing the no smoking sign and as soon as the door opens, we smell cigarette odors and weed. I understand that this not a fancy hotel so I was willing to overlook that. The horror truly begins when I entered the room. Give the fact that Halloween is around the corner, it seems like the rooms is quite fitting for such a holiday. It looked like one of the rooms that a hit man would rent to dispose of a body or harvest an organ. The bed was stained with who know what kind of stains. The bathroom door lock was missing, the window was cracked and I'm sure that was blood stain that was on the wall. It is an excellent place to stay if you were looking for the organ trafficking themed room.

Moving on to the free breakfast. I am not a picky eater but what they offered was more of a joke than anything. It looks like the food was whatever snacks they had left over from their movie night. They had Sunny Delight as \"orange juice\" and what appears to be left over donut holes that they didn't finish from the night(or days) before. Free breakfast from the listing means free food to look at.(Not sure anyone is brave enough to actually eat the offerings)

Overall I am surprised that Hotels.com is still listing the place despite all the horrible reviews. I think you will be better suited looking for an airbnb or go camping instead.

It smelled like smoke in the lobby and on every floor including the non smoking floors. The entire place is run down and literally being held together by duct tape. The bathroom was moldy and dirty. I was concerned with using the towels and sleeping in the bed. The bed also had comforters that could’ve been from the 70s and had holes in the them.

The staff were polite and helpful. The property is old and dilapidated (door lock didn’t work, dysfunctional light fixtures, dirty carpet, and even a non-smoking room reeked of old cigarette smoke ). But for $100 it’s close to an interstate highway, only about 7 miles from the University of Connecticut, and the tv-microwave-shower-hvac all worked fine.

Nastiest bathroom i've ever had, no hot water, no water pressure. If I hadn't been exhausted I would have walked out. The only good thing about the stay was the 2 people you had at the counter, they were very friendly and helpful. When checking out in the morning there was noone at the desk and the phone that you were supposed to call was on the desk. Had to leave keys in a small basket and hope nobody took them and went back to our room. Absolute worst hotel stay I've ever had. Noisy kids across the hall and a couple came in at 2:16 in the morning and could be heard through the adjoining door.

If I could give a negative star I would.
The entire hotel smelled like smoke. My room was dirty and nasty. I found a dead fly behind the toilet and a brown hair on the shower wall. The bed was not that comfortable and the pillows looked old and used. The owner needs tobipgrade the entire hotel.

The only positive was the breakfast. Fruit loops, toast , Sunny Delight and powered donut holes. Also the gym was closed but there was a new gym at the truck stop that we could use. The hotel was really close to I-84.
Overall, please stay away from this one. I will never sleep here or any other Rodeway Inn again.

The friends i was with stayed in another room that i booked. They needed an extra wash rag and towel. They ask at the desk and they were told it would be in there room when we got back. My room didn’t have any wash tabs or towels to even dry off with. My wife went to the desk along with our friends wife to ask for those items. The person behind the desk got rood and told them we had to leave our rooms. I wasn’t there. They even said they would call the police. They were told they would refund us 1 day of room rate. So far don’t see anything about a refund. Better get it tomorrow or we are disputing the payment with credit card company. Thank you.

Black mold and mystery stains everywhere in the room. There was blood on the sheets and cigarette burns in the blankets. Bathroom looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a year. Morning staff was incredibly rude and aggresive. We used the call button at the front desk to make sure we were all set to leave and didnt need to do anything to check out. Took several minutes to appear and we started to walk away during this wait. We heard \"oh nice ring the bell and then f**** walk away\" when we turned around and said \"what we want to make sure we were all set\" he said drop your card and f**** leave. I muttered \"a*****\" and he proceeded to chase us out of the hotel. He came close enough to us that it felt like he was going to try to put hands on us. He definitely seemed like he was on something. Would definitely recommend taking this property off expedia as it is a dangerous and dirty property.

Easily the worst place I’ve ever stayed. It started when we arrived after dark and there wasn’t any parking area lighting. The place was filthy, everywhere. The bed covers had holes in them. They apparently made a hole in the carpet and patched it with a piece of carpet that didn’t match and duct taped it down. The breakfast was either bread or cereal, we just skipped it. The upside, our car was still there in the morning.

Bit lower than average no extra toliet paper 1 blanket walls had stuff on them not sure what and the shower head was zip tied to hold it up forever for some hot water , horrible breakfast choices. Hotel extremely loud with kids till 1 am had to complain several times and we had three adults and a two year-old child very hard to sleep. We left as soon as we woke up when we could hear the kids running upstairs. The staff was really nice. I just think they need more help and definitely some bleach. but we needed a place to sleep overnight so it worked, but I wouldn’t go back.

Most of the negative views of this hotel are right on point. I have to say the staff at check in were quick and nice, but that’s where the positives end. This hotel needed to be updated at least 20 or 30 years ago. As soon as you open the front door, the smell of cigarette smoke punches you in the face. On our floor, the pungent smell of old cigarettes and pot fill the air. The sheets had tears, stains and hair. The AC was noisy, but at least it worked. The “breakfast” consisted of slices of white bread, two cereals and some donut holes. There was milk and Sunny D. I didn’t think they even made Sunny D anymore. How cheap do you have to be to not even offer some from concentrate OJ???

HEALTH HAZZARD-STAY AWAY

Avoid at any cost! This place is a health hazzard! The first thing we saw after opening our room door was a water-damaged, cracked and drooping ceiling piece. Then a huge stain on the carpet near the bed. Looking closer, we coul see that the pillows were yellowed and discolored and one had dark stains on the pillowcases like bugs or dried blood. The toilet bowl was streaked with gray lines, and the window was cracked, but taped up and left open without a screen. There was general dirt on the bathroom floor and in the shower. We immediately left and the management told us it was becuse the cleaner had been slacking off lately. What?! Judge for yourself. We took pictures.

The front desk staff were nice and prompt with getting me checked in. The physical property needs an overhaul. The lobby wasn't very inviting; ceiling panel missing due to obvious water issue & wires hanging down from the opening. My room was spacious and good lighting. The A/C and TV worked well. The bathroom was a different story. The shower should but gutted. I needed to lay a towel on the shower floor and the shower head needs replacing badly. Bed protective cover has see better days. The mattress was comfortable. This isn't the worst place I've stayed. If giving updates, the location is good, easy access to Interstate 84 along with gas station and food option.

I’ve never been more appalled. I wish I knew how to post the pictures of the place. Make sure you look at Google reviews. Expedia has been no help getting me reimbursed for the 2nd night that I paid for but didn’t stay due to how absolutely awful it was. My brother and I slept fully dressed on top of the sheets in fear of what we would find if we pulled the sheets down. Dried vomit stuck to walls and carpet. What we could only determine was actual human feces on the air conditioning unit. Building’s in disrepair and reeks of cigarettes and mold. Even the truckers just use the parking lot to sleep in their trucks.

The pictures look deceiving and they make the place seem cleanly and it is the farthest thing from the stench you encounter when you walk in is horrid and it follows you even worse into the elevator and the room has a different smell of stale cigarettes and mildew both of the towels provided were dirty and stained the toilet was clearly not clean at all and the bed sheets had stains all over them there were people sleeping in the common area with no socks or shoes on the “free breakfast” was a few pieces of sliced bread a toaster and a jar of community jelly aswell as some store brand donut holes that looked weeks old and nevermind the staff looked like they just checked out of the Suboxone clinic .DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY.

Do not be fooled by the online photos. This place is a dump. The stench of moldy rugs and old cigarette smoke greets you at the door. The bathrooms toilets had stains beneath the seats and on the shower floor. The bedding was a horrendous winter blanket in the middle of summer. The 24hr fitness center has been closed for months. The breakfast was corn flake cereal with a shared gallon of milk for guests.

This was not a pleasant stay. I asked for a smoking room, was put in a non smoking room the 1st night. The 2nd night I was transferred to a smoking room that had no microwave, and problems around the window that were not apparent until the 3rd night when the room stated to flood from the rain. The ceiling proceeded to leak onto the bed and my ps5 (I was on the 2nd floor of a 3 story). They moved me to a 3rd room with no AC and gave me a box fan. The pool is empty, I couldn't find the fitness center or game room. The breakfast is 2 cereals and some bread (the toaster barely works) with coffee, Sunny D, milk and some donut holes.

When we entered it was very dirty and had this terrible heavy smell. The elevator had a rug that was filthy and looked like it hasn’t been vacuumed in months. It was matted and the smell got worse. We got to the room and the whole thing was filthy the bathroom had hair everywhere and the beds after pulling back the comforter had dirt crumbs and hair. I’ve stayed in a lot of cheaper motels but this was unacceptable! Even though we were extremely tired, we left immediately and booked another one.

Don't use this place, dirty, air conditioner so loud that I had to turn off on a hot evening. Mold in shower and bed sheets not clean. Next morning no water in the place. Poor management.

In all honestly there is no purpose in getting a room that’s non-smoking because all along the hallways it smells like smoke. Did a 2 night stay, first night there was no water for half the night and half the next morning, they didn’t even notify anyone. Then on my second night, while my partner was gone someone attempted to open my door multiple times, I was so terrified I couldn’t sleep. Then there was drunk people all around the building including personnel or family/friends of it, as they were arguing, yelling in front of guest including myself. Kids and staff laid up on the couch watching tv, including when I was bound to checkout, the guy just waved me off from the couch. If I received any good service it would of been from a singular employee and that was during check in, nothing further than that. Room wasn’t in its worst condition but definitely need for improvement, sheets were stained, bathroom door was not working, so no sense of privacy among so much more.

Check-in was ok. Room was ok (aside from holes in wall where artwork was and wallpaper detaching from wall). Bathroom was nasty and definitely could use a remodel. Didn’t trust the shower, the curtain looked nasty with a big hole on the bottom. Oh’ best of all was being woken at 11ish by someone trying to open the door and upon investigation (I believe it was the repairman trying to fix the lock). I opened the door and he asked how we got in there. I said we paid for the night…… needless to say, didn’t sleep well after that. Will not be not returning.

This motel is broken down and need a lot of renovating. The rooms bathroom has no handle, just a cut out in the door. The shower is scary and the bath towels as thin as a dish rag. The room is too warm and the a/c isn’t effective.

The entire place was a disappointment. I didn’t even bother taking pictures. While it may have been nice 15 years ago, it has clearly deteriorated over time. The atmosphere is rundown, the smell of cigarettes lingers, and the overall cleanliness is subpar. This property should definitely not be listed on Expedia.

Room had mold on the walls. The walls were caked with dirt. Under the bed had tons of dirt and food. Most of the lights didnt work. There was urine in the toilet. The microwave didnt work, there were stains everywhere and mismatched carpet repair. The microwave was broken and 2 different keys didnt work. And when i complained about it, i was told to deal with it and got yelled at. We ended up leaving and going to a different hotel. They owe me money after that discrace of a room.

The worst, moldy walls, claimed I used the soaps when I didn’t, they should use those soaps to clean up instead cause those rooms are disgusting, especially the sheets which are not even clean filled with stains, I grabbed my stuff and left! There is no way a hotel should look like that.
