The food options were just ok for buffet and very over priced. The private onsen was lovely. Unfortunately the kids pool was very loud in the evening so it made it hard to enjoy.
Also was suprised that there really was no view of Mount Fuji which had been advertised.

Premium views of Mt Fuji for premium price

Western style hotel up in the mountains of Izu. Isolated and peaceful. Pricey.

Pros:
- spectacular view of Mr Fuji from certain rooms
- deluxe rooms with private outdoor onsen bath
- kid/baby friendly
- pet friendly rooms available

Cons
- very limited dining options - the one restaurant at the hotel closes at 9pm (ie no late night room service)
- no vending machines on-site, nearest convenience store is 15 min drive away
- restaurant is very pricey - we preferred to drive into town for better value

Issue at check in - we made sure to reserve 2 nights in a room with a view of Mt Fuji but were put in a “garden view” room for the first night. After complaining we were given the correct room for the second night. Disappointing, considering the only reason we chose to stay here is for the Mt Fuji view.

Loved the amazing staff. Rooms with hot tubs and room service were great. Restaurant on site was nice, but more than we were prepared to spend at a restaurant in Japan. We found a couple of nice places in the nearby town where we enjoyed more traditional Japanese-style meals/ambiance. Overall we were very happy with our stay here. But again, hands down the staff was superb.

The hotel itself is really good. We did enjoy our stay. However, people need to be aware that closest convenience store is around 4.4kms. Unless you drive then you eat food from the hotel service :)

Loved my king bed room with big windows facing Mt Fuji with a private onsen. Rooms are new and buffet breakfast has a wide selection with floor to ceiling windows. Overnight stay didn’t allow us to explore Laforet complex.

Comfortable staying for athletical family.

Very cozy and quiet place to stay. My family loves Onsen and onsen swimming pool both. The room is large enough to stay with two children using Futon sets. We also used the gym in La Foret and we enjoyed playing free basketball, badminton, ping-pong, and volleyball !

The hotel is pretty good and in a peaceful area surrounded by nature.
Super clean and with a professional but friendly staff.
We had a little problem when we entered our room, as we found two cockroaches running around, but in five minutes they upgraded to a better room.
Dinner was nice, too!

A nice stay but the free bottles of water in the room were ignored from the day of checking in and even the next day room refreshed while we had to remind two times. However, it’s a nice place to stay, and the staffs were so kindly and helpful. We stayed 3 nights. It’s suitable for self driving trip as the hotel is up on a hillside and have car parking place.

The facility is great. It's new, clean and the service is excellent. However the location of this hotel is very remote. You need a car or need to take a shuttle from the train station. There is absolutely nothing around the hotel. There is one restaurant in the hotel, the food is mediocre and a bit over priced.

Hotel quite new. BIG modern room. I booked a room with a private onsen on the balcony which was extremely nice to enjoy as often as you want without feeling uncomfortable in the hotel open onsen. Service was first class (English speaking, warm, friendly and helpful). Wifi fast. Breakfast good variety. I had the dinner as part of package during the New Year period, dinner quality quite decent. English TV channel limited though. Didn't use the golf/tennis facilities due to cold weather during visit. Overall, an excellent stay.

This hotel stay was spectacular! The staff was amazing, they even upgraded our room upon arrival! The hotel was clean and gorgeous. The location was quiet and convenient to drive to nearby locations. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Izu!

Room was spacious with outdoor onsen. Semi buffet dinner quite good although choice is limited. Unfortunately the GPS of the rented car cannot locate the telephone number of the hotel. Glad we use Google map to help.
Hotel located uphill and basically nothing nearby. Must drive.

Good stay but don’t let them pay in US dollars!!

The hotel was nice and is situated in a beautiful setting. The days when we were there, the weather was good and views of Mt Fuji were spectacular at different times of the day. Food and hot spring baths were also good. One thing that was really bad was that when we were checking out, a clerk asked if we wanted to pay in Japanese yen or the US dollars, and I replied dollars thinking that the conversion would be the same or close to my VISA card. Boy, was I wrong. The conversion rate was horrible and they charged me a 5% mark up on top of the bad exchange rate. Had I payed in yen and let VISA converted, I would have paid about $2,600, but because Marriott converted, I paid over $2,800, the difference of about $200! A lesson learned. Just pay in local currencies when traveling abroad. However Marriott definitely should told me about the conversion/exchange fee.

The facility was what you would expect from a Marriott. Clean, well appointed and generally well run. The food in the restaurant was good with a choice of differing cuisines. The location is quite remote so is very quiet and peaceful. However, its proximity to the main roads mean it is a great place to use as a base when exploring the local area.

We were given a lovely room with a view of Mount Fuji. The room is of a more modern style with a table & large sofa which is fine when on holiday.

For us the highlight of the stay was the staff. The young man on the front desk who looked after us from check-in all the way through to check-out was especially helpful. He could simply not do enough for us. Similarly, the gentleman senior waiter in the restaurant was always friendly and helpful.

Throughout our stay, people always tried to help. Even though we are unable to speak Japanese, the staff team all worked very hard to explain things to us in English. A great effort all round. We would certainly look at staying here again.

The hôtel is in the middle of the Izu Island and allows to start some visits on both sides . It is essential to have a car - the restaurants are available within 10 min drive . The breakfast is good but a lot of people - expect some waiting - Hotel works together with the La Forêt hotel and sharing some facilities ( ie. The pool on the Marriott side ) . The also organize massages in the hotel room - very good

Store rom og god service, men der var tydelig sopp i dusjen på rommet vårt. Man lukker døra til dusjen tett, og da er man avhengig av en god avtrekksvifte, noe som ikke fungerte hos oss. Middagen sto ikke i stil til prisen i det hele tatt og det var generelt dyrt der. Vi spiste frokost i landsbygden utenfor.

Alt i alt ville vi nok valgt et annet hotell neste gang, da prisen var for høy i forhold til opplevelsen.

お部屋はとても綺麗に清掃されていて気持ちよく過ごすことが出来ました。愛犬も一緒だったので食事は近くの洋食レストランのテイクアウトを持参しました。朝食時わんちゃんも一緒だったという口コミを拝見した気がして一応フロントの方にお伺いしましたが、やはり共有スペースでの犬同伴で食事は無理でした。お部屋の廊下を出てすぐのところに小さめのドッグランがあります。お部屋には愛犬用のおやつと肉球クリーム、ワンちゃん専用のミネラルウォーターの用意もあり嬉しかったです。チェックイン時のフロントの男性もとても親切で感じ良く気持ちよく宿泊することができました。

マリオットでもとても個人まりしたホテルで、概して綺麗ですが、大浴場などは清潔感はあるものの古さが否めないです。702号室でした。部屋は快適。強いていうとTVがベットから見るととても小さいので大きくしてもらえるといいかと思います。
冷蔵庫は無料のお水2本以外空っぽにしてあるので、何か買っていくとお部屋でもゆっくり楽しめると思います。お部屋から綺麗な富士山がくっきりと見え絶景でした。ジップラインも初めてトライしましたが最高でした。

誕生日旅行

20歳の誕生日で家族旅行で利用させて頂きました。
1泊2日で温泉もあり岩盤浴は予約制で予約をすれば入れるみたいです。
ジムとテニスも利用でき朝はビュッフェ夜はレストランもありペットも連れて行けてペット専用の場所もあったと思います。
設備はすごい充実していて足りないぐらい本当に満足で最高なホテルでした。
また是非利用させて頂きます。

夕食が食べられない

足の悪い母との旅行でした。車椅子をすぐに用意してくれたので、移動にたすかりまぢた。到着した日には、駐車場の配慮がありませんでしたが、2日目には、駐車場の配慮がりあり、助かりました。夕食にインルームダイニングを利用したのですが、メニューに和風のものが全く無かったのが、残念でした。2日目はブッフェを利用しようとしたのですが、4時半の段階で、予約が一杯で、また、インルームダイニングにしたのですが、6時に電話をしたら、8時半過ぎになり、それでもいいですかと言われたが、頼むしかなかった。4時半の時に、一言、早めがいいとか、混むとかのアドバイスが欲しかった。90歳を過ぎた母に夜の9時にピザを食べさせる事になってしまった。もっと、美味しいものを早い時間にゆっくり食べさせたかった。

コスパが悪い。
施設の古さや壁紙・家具の痛みが目立つ。
屋内プールは子どもが喜んで良かったが古い。
監視員は居ないので、自己責任で。

レストランはひとつしかなく、頼んでいない料理が出たり、同じ料理なのに食材の数が足りないなど、え？と思うことが多かった。

再訪はないかな。

昨年初めて利用した際にはとても良かったとの思いから、今回は2度目の利用でした。今回の618号室では水着エリア？で遊ぶ子供たちの声などが、かなり響いて聞こえてきて、せっかくの露天風呂付きの部屋が雰囲気台無しでした。あんなに声が響いてくるのなら、何らかの対策をしてほしい。

落ち着いて、広々。

敷地は民家から離れたところにあるのですが、非常に静かで、落ち着いた環境で宿泊することができました。また、ホテルのフロントの方など、職員の方の対応も丁寧で感心しました。ホテルの建物も、高い建物でなく、敷地が広いため、部屋や廊下も広く大変快適に過ごすことができました。

残念なホテル

料金の割には施設建物は古く、夜10時過ぎの騒音クレームの対応もしてくれなかった。修善寺の町から離れているので食事はホテル内レストランにしたが失敗した。料理は冷めており種類は多いがそれほど美味しくないメインの肉料理は食事が終わる頃に行ってきて味もがっかり。他のマリオットよりレベルは低い。露天風呂月の部屋を選んだが洗い場はなく室内の小さなシャワールームで洗う必要があった。これなら修善寺の旅館に泊まりたかった。
