This was an amazing place to stay. The property is quite large, offering a lot of amenities. Check in was very easy, and the concierge was incredibly helpful to us giving great ideas on activities such and hiking. If you have a chance to get a spa treatment, I'd highly suggest it. Their spa facility is incredible. I definitely look forward to our next trip here.

Where do I even start?! From the moment we arrived, The Phoenician delivered an unforgettable experience of luxury, ease, and pure indulgence. Every single detail... from the breathtaking views of Camelback Mountain to the impeccably designed rooms... made this birthday getaway feel like a true oasis in the desert.

The property itself is immaculate; modern elegance with a classic touch. The grounds are perfectly maintained, the pools are serene and photo-worthy, and the spa? Absolutely divine. I spent hours unwinding at the rooftop spa pool, and I can honestly say I left floating.

But what really made this stay exceptional was the service. Every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful...from valet to concierge to the poolside attendants. They didn’t just meet expectations, they anticipated our needs. One staff member even gave us spot-on recommendations for local restaurants and lounges that ended up being highlights of our trip.

This hotel understands the meaning of true hospitality. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just in need of a luxurious escape, The Phoenician will wrap you in comfort, class, and a kind of care that’s hard to put into words.

This place is fabulous in every way. The spa was top notch. My husband and I each had a facial. The pool area was immaculate and immense. The breakfast was to die for and the cocktails and steakhouse were also very nice. Best part for me as a nature lover was the gorgeous cactus garden. Can’t wait to stay here again.

Good property but questionable for a 5 diamond rating. Paint was worn, wood was water damaged, screen door was discolored and overall the rooms need a fresh modernization. Pool is nice but still needs the same touch if updating. Pool offerings like complimentary sunscreen was extremely limited, which is surprising for a Luxury Collection property.

The hotel was nice but the pool area was very shabby. The furniture was dirty and tables were broken. The water in the pool was buggy and it seemed like the filter wasn't working. I was very disappointed. Also the cactus garden was not well appointed. Not enough flowers or visually appealing areas..underwhelmed.

We had a fantastic stay at the Phoenician. The food and service were excellent! The staff was so friendly and attentive. We had a tough flight getting into Phoenix and the hotel manager was so kind and upgraded our room and comped our parking, which immediately lifted our spirits. Our room was gorgeous and the golf course, spa and fitness center were top notch. We will definitely be back!!

We recently celebrated our 17th anniversary with a stay at The Phoenician and decided to bring the kids along for a family-friendly experience. We booked a double queen room with a beautiful view of the pool, excited for a relaxing staycation.

While the beginning of our visit didn’t go as smoothly as hoped—the room wasn’t ready at the 4 PM check-in time, and we ended up waiting over an hour—the staff was courteous and responsive. They apologized for the inconvenience and offered a $150 resort credit. Later, we received a call informing us the room was still not available, but they offered us an upgrade to a spacious casita by the golf course, which was a fantastic solution.

From that point on, our stay was wonderful. The kids had a great time at the pool and enjoyed the evening activities. We capped off our nights with family game time playing Nintendo together. The resort itself is stunning, with top-notch amenities and beautifully maintained grounds.

Despite the rocky start, the way the staff handled the situation truly stood out. Their professionalism and commitment to guest satisfaction turned our visit into a memorable experience. The Phoenician is an excellent resort, perfect for both getaways and staycations, and we appreciate their efforts to make our anniversary special.

When we booked, we requested a Mountain View for the stay. We did not get a unit with a Mountain View. We did get a nice casita. However, there were some issues with the unit itself. We had all doors and windows closed our entire stay and somehow still had a mosquito issue. The master shower head was broken and the water was lukewarm at best. We also returned to our room around 9:45pm to find our keys did not work anymore. We called front desk twice, and they assured someone was coming to help us into our room. No one came, but after an hour we found a maintenance worker who was driving by in a golf cart to help us in.

Overall, the resort was beautiful and had a luxurious vibe. We were celebrating our 9 year so we wanted a memorable experience. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the best for the expensive price for a one night stay and will likely not return.

Phoenician is a nice spot, but some of it is nearing the end of its lifecycle. In particular, the casitas are tired. We stayed in a premium casita and it felt really old and tired. The property itself is very decent and has tons of options. Location is great. Food is great. Service is wonderful and attentive. Pools are great - and there’s many of them. All around, a nice spot, but to stay “five star”, they’ll need to get the rooms back up to speed.

They have a Beautiful property, pool area with excellent maintained landscape. The woman who came for nightly turn down service (asking if need more towels, take out the trash, more water bottles) provided great service and was very sweet the week I was there.

Housekeeping was inconsistent although saw them in my hallway each day I was leaving my room in the morning for the day cleaning nearby rooms. Cleaned my room only two of the four days I was there. Last night the woman tried to come clean after 6:30pm in the evening. I said no as at that point I was checking out the next day and made no sense.

The valet, room service and pool were great. Check in was not super friendly, knowledgeable about dining options or overly concerned. The pool chairs need an upgrade, they were dirty, and the Drybar wasnt open. One of the weirdest things was that we had to take our own luggage to our room in a $1000/night hotel and there were stairs and curbs and no ramps.

We had an overall lovely stay at the Phoenician. The staff and valet were friendly. The pool staff and spa was wonderful. Breakfast Buffett is great but only on high volume days is it available.
The rooms are outdated including bathroom facilities. Not in keeping with the updated lobby and main facilities . For the price I paid considering it’s 5star plus this was disappointing. The grounds and accessibility to the city is perfect.
Try to book spa treatments on a weekday it is at a slightly lower price point.

Fitness center and golf facilities great.

Resort fee $50 a day . This included tennis pickle ball and some fitness classes but no fees applicable to golf . This also seems like an unexpected surcharge .

All services are quick and reliable. Whether it is food and drinks at the pool or room service or a request for extra towels , everything is there as quickly as possible. The food is excellent. I had breakfast, lunch and dinner there at least once daily. The food is well seasoned and tasty.

Watch out for larger groups!

We love the property and have visited over a dozen times. This trip was with my three brothers and wives and we made plans in January. Roughly a week before our visit, I received a call telling me, \"a group has reserved the cabanas and we can't fulfill your reservation. We're moving you to the family pool\". We made our reservations almost three months in advance and didn't want to be in the family area with children (we have 9 of our own between the four families). I think it's really \"bush-league\" to move us a week out when we're planning 12 room nights over the three days. We ended up at the Family pool at a discount but this wasn't about the money, it was about respecting your guests (my wife is Titanium level, my brothers and I are also Bonvoy elite levels). As I told the woman who called, in addition to playing golf, dining, reserving the cabanas and so many other things, we spent a lot of money there and would have likely chosen another resort back in January if we were told there weren't any cabanas. Not sure the decision is one that Bonvoy corporate would understand.

This was my first visit to Phoenician and check in was pleasant. Sarah, I think was her name was especially nice! It’s a beautiful property- with great views.

Some feedback- better coffee in the rooms; check to make sure everything works when rooms turnover. And make the rooms smell fresh.

Also, a Shuttle to and from Old town would be a nice touch, as well. Overall a very nice experience.

We stayed for two nights/one day at the Phoenician with our 4 and 6 yo kids. The reason my overall rating is not excellent is because the splash pad, waterslide and whirlpools were all broken the day we were there. The splash pads and whirlpools did get going midafternoon, but the waterslide remained out of order. The games room was available and we played some foosball, pool and air hockey, but two of the 4 arcade games were out of order. When travelling with two young kids....what else are you supposed to do with them in a fancy resort! The kids water area was the main reason we picked the Phoenician.

The building itself is very nice, the rooms are large, the staff are incredibly kind and friendly and the food was delicious. Would I stay here again with my kids? No, unless there was a way to ensure the kid water activities area was fully functional. Would I stay here again with my partner, or on a friends trip? Yes.
