Great location near the clock tower square and market, friendly helpful staff, beautiful view of the fort and blue city and clock tower from the roof deck. So much to love! The breakfast was the only thing *not* up to the great standard of everything else they’re doing at the Haveli Inn Pal.

Don’t book this property if you have a car.
They don’t provide in property parking and I got my car scratched by stray dogs.
The owner of the property has nothing to say about damage. Terrible experience with them.
Don’t ever book this property.

Would recommend despite a few issues

Our room was clean, our bed was comfortable but we were on the ground floor and it was very noisy as it’s the way in and out of the hotel. It is in a great position for walking around the old town. Breakfast was ok, eggs, toast, pancakes and fruit in the roof top restaurant with lovely view of the fort. Wi-fi wasn’t great kept dropping out. Despite the room location and bad wi-fi I would recommend this hotel

Beautiful heritage hotel in a central location, with lovely lounge area and amazing rooftop terrace with view of fort. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Negatives are it was quite noisy as centrally located, and food was ok but not amazing. Would stay again!

Beautiful hotel, with amazing views. Very clean and hygenic. Great service. The rooms all have views of Mehrangarh fort or the lake. Walkable distance to all tourist attractions, and great shopping at Ghanta Ghar. Wonderful hospitality and lovely care for guests.

Congested area around the property. Promises ride free but charges for it later. Ride price is also very high. TV didn’t work. Wi-fi was a complete mess. Had a used hand towel in the bathroom when we checked in. The only good thing was a couple of people in service staff.

We enjoyed our stay at the Haveli Inn Pal. The check-in and check-out process went smoothly and efficiently, even with our 7 a.m. check out time. Breakfast normally starts at 7 a.m. but the dining room was able to accomodate us earlier so we could leave for our train on time. The rooms were clean and well-maintained with excellent toiletries and ample amenities. The restaurant also served us a delicious meal of Ker Sangri, fresh naan and roti, and paneer our first night there. All of this was complemented by the phenomenal view of Mehrangarh Fort from our Heritage View rooms. We would love to return to Haveli Inn Pal to enjoy the hospitality and warmth of its caretakers.

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Great location being close to many restaurants, the market and stepwell. Our bed was raised higher to enable guests to see the fort while they lie in bed. A nice touch . Would definitely recommend

Nice place with all the amenities you would expect. Our stay was comfortable and the location is convenient to some of the old town attractions. The best part of this place is the view of the fort from the rooftop. Overall the service was great and we got to experience the local attractions. The area around the haveli is dirty and crowded as you would expect in the old town. The food in the restaurant was Ok, but the views were great. The service from the staff especially in the dining area was exceptional.

Amazing find in Old Town

This little known hotel had everything. Rooftoop terrace restaurant with attentive staff. Owner / mgr on site. Personal service. Heritage hosts pictures of old days and portraits of past family. Calm, secure location, in the heart of action. Close to markets and the clock tower. Plenty of Tuk Tuks to take you to the fort or nearby restaurants. (negociate the price first). Watch the cows stroll by as you wonder the markets. There are stairs, so if a ground floor needed request it. Very friendly staff. Airport pick up makes it easy and a decent price. Highly recommended. Comfy bed, large room, #8, with fort view. There is a more upscale Haveli Pal connected to the Havela Inn Pal, owned by the brother. We found the Haveli Inn Pal an excellent choice. Meals at both locations on their respective roof tops were very good. A low key excellent find. We will stay again.

The spot is located near ghanta ghar and takes a bit of walk. The restaurant was close due to covid effect, but many other restaurants nearby.
The location is close to Jhalra, Jaswant thala, Fort and The Fort view was amazin during day time.

Great great location. Everything is at your footsteps. The food around is awesome. From shahi samosa to the omelette shop to cafe royale next door, they’re all right there. You can enjoy the street food and rooftop dinner at panorama or indique (which belongs to the pal Haveli next door). The service was friendly and incredibly accommodating. They provided airport transfer and then were more than willing to help us arrange and coordinate with our driver for our drive to Jaisalmer. The rooms were beautiful. Comfortable. There was a working safe. My mom in laws room had some hiccups with the availability of cable channels and the sockets not working, but that was fixed within 10 minutes. Everyone worked with smiles on their face and didn’t linger around asking for tips. They seemed genuine and so feel free to tip based on your feeling of gratitude. Bathroom shower I couldn’t quite figure out but the water was hot and didn’t run out... so I very happily managed with a tub. For the area, I was very pleasantly surprised by the property. Of course if you want to nit pick and compare it to a Ritz or a Taj, you can find flaws, but know what you’re coming here for— a good nights comfortable sleep, convenience of location, and accommodating service. Thanks team at Haveli Inn Pal!

The most amazing view of Mehrangarh Fort

We stayed for 2 nights at the Haveli Inn Pal during our holidays in India. The room was no-frills, but spacious and with a great view of the Mehrangarh Fort. The breakfast was served on the rooftop terrace with the most amazing views of the fort. We also had dinner there one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, and the food was good. The restaurant rooftop terrace has surely the best views of the fort in whole Jodhpur, and it is very relaxed, chilled-out and romantic (unlike the popular busy rooftop restaurant at the next-door Hotel Pal Havelli). We had a good stay and would stay there again.

A nice hotel with comfortable room and decent wifi. The restaurant was superbly located. Staff very helpful. Issues I had were that I missed my station pickup as the driver went to the wrong exit. This exposed me to several minutes of haranguing from tuktuk drivers. The driver for the journey to Udaipur didn't know the way as he kept asking passers-by and referring to his hand held mobile while driving. Otherwise good.

LOVED THE LOCATION OF THIS HOTEL. STAFF WAS GREAT. ROOMS AND BED WERE GOOD. OUR GROUP NEEDED A DOCTOR TO CHECK 7 OF US AT ONCE FOR A BAD COUGH AND THEY ORGANIZED A DOCTOR FOR US AT VERY REASONABLE COST AND TOOK GREAT CARE OF ONE OF THE GROUP WHO STAYED BEHIND FOR THE DAY BRINGING SPECIALTY TEAS TO HER. WE HAD 4 ROOMS AND NO COMPLAINTS. ONLY STAIRS NO LIFTS BUT THEY PROVIDED PORTERS FOR THE LUGGAGE. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OLD CITY AND GOOD SHOPPING OUT THE DOOR.

Except for there being no staff to be found on arrival, this was an excellent place to stay. It is a wonderfully restored haveli with a spectacular view of the fort and the city from the roof open air restaurant and some of the rooms. You could imagine yourself as Rajput royalty and they are your ancestors’ pictures on the walls.

Beautiful Haveli full of character ideal location

Fantastic place ideally located in the heart of the old town close to the clock tower and market. Lovely room with huge beds, large bathroom and great views. Incredible views of the Fort from the rooftop restaurant. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. TV, towels and gorgeous bed covers. Bring your own shampoo etc (soap is provided) and bring a travel hairdryer though the hotel might have one at request. The staff make this place; Pushpendra is lovely, efficient and genuinely helpful. The two waiters in the restaurant are great, really friendly and attentive. Rooms are very clean. You will get some street noise the same as absolutely everywhere else we stayed in India but I always travel with earplugs. This Haveli has a load of character and the owner is a retired horse trainer. Definitely recommended and also check out the wonderful textile shop in the courtyard with beautiful stock at very fair prices.

Nice hotel for the price and a great view

The room i got had a nice view on a pond but at first i was afraid i would not be able to sleep because of the noise of the street; but quickly enough the street quiets down (before 10 pm) and i got a good night of sleep... so if you get such a room dont be afraid and just enjoy the nice view! It was very spacious and the bathroom had one of the biggest bath tub i have seen and original too...
The wifi worked fine and the staff was very nice. They even offered to give me another room when i commented about the street noise but as i mentioned, it was absolutely not necessary because the street quiets down very quickly.
Overall it is an excellent deal for the price and very well located, steps from the market. But the real treasure of the hotel is the breathtaking view from the restaurant on the top floor which faces the fort... i would wake up early and be the first customer for breakfast and enjoy the view while the city slowly wakes up, with beautiful green parrots flying around...that view of the fort is one of the strongest memories i have from jodphur...
Not to mention the nice staff from the restaurant... we ate there both nights and it was tasty; we preferred the ambiance and view of this restaurant to the one of the twin hotel nearby which we also visited.
Overall for the price paid you get a fantastic deal and a memorable stay thanks in part to the staff and the amazing view from the roof restaurant... i would go back without any hesitation.

Beautiful haveli in great location

The hotel is beautiful and we loved our stay. The staff went out of their way to help us several times. The rooftop restaurant has amazing views of the Fort and good breakfast. Make sure you also go to the restaurant Indique next door - yum. Our only issue was the wifi which never really worked for us - if it had worked well our stay would have been perfect (also double bed is 2 seperqtely made up single beds pushed together which was also annoying for a couple).

The restaurant was more expensive than eating out, but it afforded great views of the hotel, had some lovely dishes and friendly staff. The rooms were spacious with good views and a comfortable (and very high up) bed. Bad points: the sofa in our room was quite dirty and the welcome could be better. Mainly, it would be nice to have a map and some local tips regarding the area. When we asked for a map, we were told to go to the market.

Only improvement needed would be to keep some mosquitoe repellants at the roof top resteurant, while the ambience was awesome we sufferered from mosquitoe bites. It's more comfortable than a lot of 4 star places and it's right in the heat of things. This is India, so keep the ear plugs at hand, be prepared to dodge auto rickshaws and you'll love it.

Where you do not escape the Fort

On arrival we enjoyed a lovely view onto the Fort in the afternoon sun from the rooftop terrace. During dinner (very good!) we admired the illuminated Fort from the same terrace and at nighttime the Fort shone right down on our bed through the big window of the hotel room. The Fort in the morning sun embellished our breakfast.

The Hotel Haveli Inn Pal is an old haveli turned into a hotel. The moment you enter the building it looks beautiful. It gives you a different kind of feel from the other hotels. The room are well kept, tidy and comfortable. The hotel staff is helpful and polite. The best part about the hotel is the location. It is located right in the heart of the old Jodhpur city and there is an old market right outside of the hotel, though some people might get overwhelmed it as the area is swarmed by big crowds, autorichshaws and cows etc so just a word of caution for them. It gets very crowded and conjusted during the day. But we enjoyed the proxinmity of the markets and some cool shops with handicraft items and spices, teas etc The roof of the hotel gives a wonderful view of the Mehrangarh Fort from the roof top. They have a roof top restaurant which is a must go especially at evenings as that is a sight to see. The quality of the food is not that great though but for us the view more than compensated for that. Overall an excellent and not so expensive place to stay in Jodhpur.

The Haveli Inn Pal is a wonderful family run hotel. We were met with incredible friendliness and kindness, and the staff went out of their way to help us. This was particularly appreciated as we arrived extremely early after a very uncomfortable overnight train from Agra. We loved the feel of the hotel, an oasis of calm in the very middle of Jodhpur. The highlight is of course the amazing views from the roof terrace where we relaxed over breakfast, lunch and dinner. Daytrips and onward car journeys were planned with ease, and everyone we were put in touch with was again friendly and helpful. If only there were more hotels like this wherever we travel.

The hotel is the budget wing of a more expensive Haveli and because of this, shares the same courtyard and general entrance that are quite pretty and historic so that's a bonus straight off. It's clean, safe and in a great location right in the heart of the old town, has a wonderful rooftop restaurant and overall is really good value for money.

We spent two nights in the hotel in May, 2012. The hotel was already partially shut down for the low, summer season, but they took good care of us anyway. The room was clean and well-sorted, but the AC had trouble struggling with the summer heat. The staff was friendly and efficient. The area around the hotel is central to the old city, within walking distance of almost everything, and the rooftop patio has the best views in town! Overall, a great stay.

Hertiage Hotel in the heart of the city centre

The Hotel is located just a few steps away from the clock tower.
From our room we had an amazing view on the fort. The rooms are kept with traditional items and furniture. The staff was very kind and always concerned to pamper the guests.
The Hotel has a panoramic restaurant on the roof top of the Hotel and offers amazing views on the city! The breakfast was good, they served omelet and pan cakes.
Although the Hotel is located in the city centre, it was very quiet.
I would recommend the Hotel to everyone!

Jodhpur a delightful place to visit

Haveli Inn Pal was a very pleasant place to stay. Room was large and clean with good hot water, the restaurants had good views of the fort at sunset, the Panorama Restaurant being the best view, but Indique was more classy.
The owner had many pictures of Maharajahs around the hotel, which I enjoyed looking at, and he could point out about 6 generations of his proud ancestors. Pal is a town not far from Jodhpur.
In the evening at sunset it was around 25 to 28C and it was comfortable and delightful listening to the sounds of the city and viewing the illuminated magnificent fort as it got darker. Food was good with the usual Butter Chicken etc. The vegetarian dishes were also good and the Kingfisher Beer washed it down nicely.
Even though it was around 38 to 40C during the middle of the day moving about was quite comfortable, usually plenty of shady areas and the room air conditioning worked well.
We enjoyed Jodhpur Fort very much, I think the best fort we saw in India, the audio guide was excellent.
The people of Rajasthan are are lovely, we had some reservations about travelling alone through this area ( we are 66 and 64 ) but there was no sign of any problems and the people were only too willing to assist. There is plenty of dust and refuse around, barking dogs ( only at other dogs ) cows and some pigs roaming but in India you must accept this and appreciate the colour and sounds of the people and the magnificant monuments

Best rooftop restaurant we had for views, and excellent food. The staff here are very helpful indeed and speak good english. The spinach pakoras are to kill for.

Easy walking distance to fort (from there to mausoleum also short).

In town, local market quite unspoiled.
Has all required extras.
Barking dogs and distant railway horns are a minor irritation wherever you are in Jodhpur.

I can't speak for the accomodation in its sibling but our deluxe room in this traditional haveli (mansion) was impeccable; tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean and spacious. The bathroom was a wonder of huge honey coloured marble slabs and the hot water plentiful. There is also a pleasant roof terrace and restaurant with stunning view towards the great Mergaragh (sp) fort. The quality of this hotel - especially at the price charged - would be a key factor in any decision to visit Jodhpur again.

Super Value!!!

This was the best stay we had in our entire Rajasthan holiday across Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Ajmer.... It is everything you read in all the comments and more!

Located at the heart of old Jodhpur town, right opposite Gulab Sagar on one side, Mehrangarh fort on the opposite side and Ghanta-ghar (Clock Tower) on the 3rd side, it is IDEAL in its location. The dinner and breakfast are on 2 different terraced restaurants which give breathtaking views!

Immaculately clean and very good service. Though there are lots of stairs to each of their restaurants so its not disabled friendly
