Area is near the embassies so it’s extremely safe with lots of things around that cater to foreigners. Maid service and staff are quite helpful, maid even folded my clothes which was a nice touch. Starbucks in the hotel is convenient although it opens at 930am. Only thing I don’t like is the room is a little dated with carpet instead of laminate. At least they have plugs everywhere and the plugs accommodate American plugs.

Enjoyed my 7 day stay

Overall a very good experience. Room was nice if a little dated. Very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Aircon worked but just barely. Onsite restaurant was good. Breakfast buffet was very good. Location is rather far from most tourist attractions.

The hotel location is impeccable. Room was clean, although furniture is dated and a bit worn. Check-in experience was not great; waited in a line of 3 people for more than 30 minutes and not sure what the hold-up was. Breakfast choices were amazing. Overall a great experience.

Very nice hotel, just needs a makeover here and there. The carpeting in the rooms is old and discoloured, so it looks kinda dirty even if it’s clean. Plus, the carpeting is a dark burgundy, so if you arrive at night, the room gives you a bit of a dingy impression. In daylight it looks much nicer.
The hallways have the same problem: dark carpeting and extremely dimly lit, so when you walk from the elevator to your room, it has this vidbe of a sleazy hotel.

But at the end of the day, the rooms are nice, the beds are nice and clean (not a fan of those super soft mattresses though), the bathroom is really nice and comfortable, and the wall-to-wall windows offer a great view.

The gym is a real gym and has the right equipment for a good workout. The pool is large enough to swim for sports.

They didn’t offer room service and they give no explanation why (they just write “temporarily unavailable”). Not terrible, but if there advertise services that in reality they do not offer, I question whether the star-rating is warranted.

The hotel looks extremely fancy. But it's just your average Chinese hotel with strange rules.

1. The swimming pool requires a swimming cap. No where on their website or booking page does it say that they require a swimming cap. And to make matters worse, the hotel doesn't provide or sell swimming caps. So don't stay here if you want to swim.

2. The massage was a joke.
For 1330 RMB, you'd expect the massage to be really good right? It was mediocre at best.

3. The mini fridge in your room doesn't keep anything cold. It barely works. No cold drinks for you.

Pros: The air conditioning actually worked in May. Most hotels in Beijing won't turn the AC in until June 1st. But the AC was on, and my room was freezing (loved it).

Breakfast was ok. Good mixture of Chinese and western.

Mostly Good, Wi-Fi needs improvement

Overall, the hotel was quite nice. Some of the service was a bit rough around the edges. For instance, I got yelled at by a hotel employee for not having my shoes on while I was sitting in the lobby because my sandal had come off of one of my feet. The Wi-Fi was highly spotty, however.

Overall service was good. On the 1st night, shower room pipe was choked and water overflowed.Customer service was quick to response and the problem was fixed. We were happy with the problem addressed immediately.

Service and house-keeping staff were very polite and courteous.

Will definitely stay there again when we visit Beijing again. Pretty near city area and transportation was easy to access.

A true Marriott hotel

I booked the hotel because of Marriott brand name. Everything had worked up to my expectation of Marriott. No complaint. But the hotel is a bit off the core part of the city and subway station, guests have to plan ahead of your city traveling. This con is reflected in a slightly lower price than other top rated 5 star hotel.

Mostly great but food from room service/all day dining from the al la cart menu was very poor for Marriott standards... it was quite disappointing, I thought maybe it was just the one meal was bad but was all 4 times I ordered that menu and 4 times it was terrible (tasteless, dry, chicken was microwaved I'm pretty sure the beef and chicken skewers were microwaved also) was very sad to see the lack of effort in those meals and which I paid a premium for.....

Small details. Only one tiny soap bar that I had to move from sink to shower to bathtub to... (Saving for Bill M $0.34). Bath gel, etc. that normal hotels offer????? Impossible find/figure out switch for bed lamps (button does not react on first/second press so you don't know if you are right). Bed lamps to weak for reading. Never figured out how turn on a floor lamp. Cleaning daily or irregular. Pretty shoddy neighborhood looking out from the window -- an abandoned barrack, maybe one hundred abandoned (?),detached houses. Marriott member -- for what??

The "design" of the questionnaire above flawed, forces guests to positive answers. Then, why ask?

We stayed three nights in executive suite. Was very large and spacious room with soaking tub and floor to ceiling glass. The breakfast in the morning was very good and there were cocktails and light snacks in the evening.

Great hotel!

This hotel was great. The building is relatively new- I think it was built in 2009. We stayed in a standard room with a King-sized bed. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the bathroom was great- both a shower and a bath tub. The staff was very professional and friendly, and were very helpful.

There are some decent restaurants within walking distance from the hotel, not to mention a couple of awesome street food vendors. We went to the Cantonese restaurant inside the hotel near closing time and it was not great, but that would be a separate review from the hotel.

A couple of downsides- the air conditioning in the room wasn't able to keep the room below 20C, so the room was a bit on the warm side. The walls were somewhat thin and we had a particularly noisy neighbor that kept us up a little at night. The hotel is on a main road, but to get the the closest subway station (San Yuan Qiao) was a 20 minute walk. Alternately you could take a ride in one of the electric carts that gather at the nearby intersection for 5 yuan/person.

Great hotel for a work trip

After a long day working was bliss to come back to such a lovely comfortable room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy to get a cab from the hotel. Good location walking distance to restaurants including Grand Summit which has good places to eat. Spent 5 nights here and would definitely stay here again.

If you like a good western breakfast the breakfast here will disappoint.
The location is not as close to the SunYuanQiao station as the map indicates and is not a pleasant walk. The district is not well developed and quite dirty surrounds.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel due to its great service (laundry was completed on time and perfectly), good food, and generous exec level floor offerings (breakfast, drinks, snacks). The staff is quite friendly and helpful. I also appreciated the Starbucks on the first level! The gym is quite good, too -- all new equipment, good changing room, clean pool.

VERY Disappointing - to say the least.

The property is brand new and very modern, however, NOTHING works. I have stayed there 4 times in past 2 months due to the location being convenient for me, and each time there were major functional issues. Twice the airconditioning wasn't working. The drain in the shower never works, which means that water backs up. Because of this the bathrooms have a dank smell to them - and this property is new. I would hate to see what it's like 2 years from now.The club longe is a joke. While very nicely appointed, there is not much to eat and it is very thinnly staffed. For an extra US$45 a day, it is a complete waste.The only redeeming feature is that the staff are very nice and very apologetic. I guess the problems aren't their fault [*]

Das Personal war leider nicht besonders freundlich. Besonders beim Check In wirkten alle sehr überfordert. Besonders ärgerlich war das wir mit Frühstück gebucht hatten und es auch so in der Buchungsbestätigung stand. Uns wurde aber gesagt das es beim Hotel so nicht bekannt war. Da half auch kein Gespräch.
Alles in allem ein sehr unerfreuliches Erlebnis.
Das Zimmer war ok, jedoch sind die Möbel schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen.
Die Lage des Hotels ist auch nicht besonders gut.
