My honest opinion, this hotel was very very great in a prime location close to subways and local markets. Easily walkable and centrally located to be able to board the station to go anywhere in the city. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They even gave us umbrellas on the rainy days. For this being our first time here, we definitely enjoyed every second of our stay here. We will definitely come here again. The only minimal downside was that the pool was not on site

Daiichi Hotel Tokyo is an excellent property, and our stay was terrific all around. The property is within walking distance to the heart of Ginza, and is also very close to Shimbashi Station - making access to either the Tokyo Metro or the JR train lines very convenient. The property itself is adorned in a European flair in the common areas and in certain elements in the room. Our room was clean and comfortable, with ample space. We enjoyed the breakfast options that were offered (either buffet or seated set menu), and the food quality was excellent. A clear highlight was the staff - every person we encountered was extraordinarily courteous and made us feel very welcomed as visitors. Among the many properties that we have stayed at in Tokyo, this was by far one of the best - a luxury feel with an outstanding staff and incredible convenience. We are already planning to stay at the Daiichi Hotel Tokyo for our next visit to Japan.

Spent 2 weeks at the hotel with my 2 daughters. Fantastic stay. Hotel was wonderful. Clean, classy and staff was amazing. Hotel is in a great location. 3 minute walk to train station. We went all throughout Tokyo and several 1-3 hour day trips outside Tokyo. If you have not been to Tokyo before, proximity to a train station is key. Would not have done anything differently and would 100% stay here again.

The hotel location is excellent right outside Shimbashi station. You can go directly to Haneda airport on a subway line. It is also very close to all the Ginza shopping— a 10 minute walk. The breakfast is wonderful and their Premier lounge is very nice if you stay on those floors.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. Clean room, helpful and courteous staff. Clean towels every day, bath robes, pajamas provided. Closed to all amenities. Restaurants nearby, ATM machine across the street. 2 minutes walk to Shinbashi Station. 7- eleven and Lawson just a few steps away- very convenient. However, restaurants at the hotel are very expensive.

Check in is available only 3pm or later. They will stowaway your luggage. Room was large with 3 twin beds to accommodate our triple occupancy. Bathroom was very large with a tub and separate shower. The shower was weirdly shaped and made less room for the toilet. This was our only hotel with a bathtub as well as a toilet in the same space (most offered the toilet with a tiny secondary sink in a separate room). Some of the furnishings seemed a little outdated or less refined.

Hotel was everything we needed, room was great with so many amenities including daily replenished minibar.
We were in a Premier room and it was so worth the extra. Freeflowing drinks in the lounge including champagne and top quality spirits.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would love to go back if we ever visit tokyo again

As this was our first visit to Japan, we wanted to find a hotel that was close to the train station and had fairly large rooms. Daiichi Hotel Tokyo was the best choice for us! We are a family of four and needed two rooms close together, if possible. When we checked in, the front desk staff gave us two rooms that were connected. This was perfect for us! The hotel staff was so accommodating and nice. The rooms/bathrooms were clean, spacious and so comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and located very close to the Shimbashi Station and to many restaurants and shops. There are also several Konbinis (convenience stores) in the area and several restaurants within the hotel. Unfortunately, due to our busy itinerary, we didn't get a chance to try any of the restaurants.

The only problem we had was with the elevators. We were located on floor 9 of 21. Each morning when leaving our room, the elevators were always full when it reached our floor. We needed to wait several minutes for an elevator with space for our family. There is only one set of elevators for guests and one of the elevators was being repaired. However, this was only a minor inconvenience, which did not lower my opinion of the hotel and it's staff. I would highly recommend Daiichi Hotel Tokyo for your future Tokyo visit.

This hotel was a good first stay on our first few nights in Tokyo. It’s so close to Shimbashi station there is actually an underground tunnel in the hotel that takes you there. The neighborhood is quieter than some others but there are wonderful eateries nearby under the train tracks. Excellent and helpful staff, a big beautiful comfortable room and lots of amenities. Would stay again and would recommend.

Great staff! Everyone helpful and friendly. The rooms are a little bit dated, however upkeep and condition of everything is solid especially considering lodging price and location. Worth noting that hotel appears to “dynamic” pricing so book in advance to get the best rate! Also, try it get Club floor (Floor 20) which we had 3 nights out of our 6 night stay. (Sold out on other nights). Only negative was lack of much of a fruit assortment at the buffet. We visited in April and strawberries are the rage in Tokyo. We actually purchased some strawberries and brought them to the buffet as all buffet featured was grapes, and “very average” looking pineapple and melon. Oh… egg station should feature a variety of omelettes and they only do “plain” omelettes. Still, hotel offers excellent price/value IF you book in advance.

Besides the breakfast which we had at the world buffet, hotel was good.
Breakfast included multiple varieties, however nothing really was a highlight. We reached at 945 and food was almost gone. As last order was at 10 am which was ample of time to refill, however items weren't refilled. It was very expensive from that perspective. We paid in full and didn't receive the variety.

Location is great with waking distance to JR Shimbashi and Ginza station, tons of food close by. Only downside is that if you a light sleeper, due its proximity you can hear the trains. It could have been our room as we were on a higher floor.
It became white noise after a few nights.

We decide to add a night before our stay at the last minute and the hotel has deleted the option for extra bed in the reservation, so we have to pay the hefty charge for extra bed. The other 3 nights was good price for 3 person. Also very nice breakfast.

A top hotel very close to the Ginza, only a few minute walk away. The front desk staff and the concierges were friendly but for the most part did not speak good English. This was surprising in such a highly rated and expensive hotel catering to international guests. Have your Google translator ready to use. We have visited at least 70 countries and the poor English communication skills by front desk personnel was shocking.

This hotel was one of the finest I’ve stayed at in my life! We had a room that included the executive club. Breakfast was included and was your choice of a western breakfast or a Japanese breakfast. The food was amazing and the executive lounge was open most of the day with access to light snacks and desserts. There are a number of restaurants inside this immaculate property. I highly recommend it and would go back!

Fabulous hotel premier room came with free breakfasts and use of the lounge for evening snacks and drinks. Also 1 free use of all item in the mini bar in the room. We had an evening meal in enchante french restaurant on our last evening and it was fantastic despite the language differences the staff coped with us and had a lovely smile and eluded happiness all the time. Bell services were great. Only moan a bit was about the cafe bar which we used on one night had a drink then never got offered or asked if we wanted a second drink. Then next day came back to the hotel after a long day walking and needed a drink to chill and got told to come back in an hour for some reason even though there were sests at the bar available. Didnt understand that but really on minor things the rest was just fabulous if we should ever go to tokyo again i would book this hotel again great location next to a railway station as well

This is a very nice hotel near Shimbashi Station and Ginza, and within walking distance of Hibiya Park and the Imperial Palace. The staff is polite, kind, and very helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel reminds me of the Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco: elegant and from a bygone era (in a good way). There were no laundry facilities; however there is a laundry service. We did our laundry at a laundromat called Guruguru just down the street, which was very convenient. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend.

This was the best by far of the three hotels we used on our trip to Japan. The room was very spacious and the bathroom a little dated but all clean and fully functional. The staff were very helpful and arrange our luggage getting shipped to Kyoto, doing all the paperwork for us. Location is great as it is close to the train station, a must in Tokyo and there are lots of places to drink and eat close by. The hotel bar has a cool view of the train lines and was a nice spot to relax. Very pleased with our stay there!
