Great scenery! Beach with crystal water, white sand and limestone cliffs. Unforgettable experience. We took the Phi Phi Islands excursion with the hotel and it was amazing. It is family friendly but also good for a romantic escapade. Looking forward to return.

Location and service is great, you dont feel the corporate brainwash but genuine easy and professional service with a team who has been curating clients for some time. The property is 35 years old so indeed can show a bit of Vintage feel, but ot is well maintained. Bed and bathtub are top quality and I recommend to enjoy a sunset at the terrace, followed by a nice Thai Dinner at the Phranan Restaurant. The grotto restaurant is okay food and would need a twist of modernityor better ingredients and the best views are for late lunch instead of dinner.the excursion specialist is really helpful and dont miss to do a bit of rock climbing or enjoy a private sunset. The spa is gorgeous, you feel really relaxed there with great treatment like the signature massage. I hope to come back to further e?Florence these beautiful and active resort!

A perfect getaway. Beautifull beaches, tastefully decorated bungalows blending into surrounding jungle, endless paths leading through the resort and between limestone cliffs, infinity pool, fantastic food and spectacular dining settings. Overall, our stay was pleasant, but there were a few issues that negatively affected our experience.

The airport transfer to the resort was a major disappointment. The car was in very poor condition, with a moldy smell, trash left inside the vehicle, and none of the seatbelts were functioning. We also had to wait a long time for the driver to arrive. It felt unprofessional and more like a random ride service rather than a hotel-arranged transfer, which did not feel safe or appropriate for a hotel of this standard.

We were also very disappointed with the restaurant Grotto, which felt like a scam. It was recommended by the hotel that we change our plans and visit on a specific evening when a buffet was being offered, which raised our expectations but unfortunately made the experience even more disappointing. The service was essentially nonexistent.
We had to clear our own table, fetch our own water when moving tables, and even though we repeatedly tried to get the staff’s attention to order more drinks, we received no service at all, despite a service charge always being included. We shared this feedback at the reception, and the following day the manager followed up with us, apologized, and acknowledged the situation.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, Rayavadee was simply fabulous. The staff deserve a special mention, they were attentive, genuinely warm and went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of our visit was perfect.
The food was superb quality and every meal was a culinary delight.
The hotels surroundings are absolutely beautiful, with stunning views. This created a serene and breathtaking backdrop for a relaxing getaway.
We highly recommend Rayavadee and cannot wait to return.

Resort is beatiful and staff is very nice, polite, exceptional breakfast staff! The a la carte and buffet breakfast is plentiful/comfortable. The resident langur monkeys are an incredible delight, very different from the capuchins.

The mixology department here at the bar needs a ton of work, especially when they are charging miami prices for all of their beverages and producing drinks similar to the bars on walking street. The pool area is beautiful and the beach at phang nga is why I would stay here again for the 500 nightly price tag. I would not pay a K and I'll tell you why.
We understand that this is not an adults only establishment, but people at the hotel need to control their kids. Naked kids running around, both peeing in the pool and on the sand is not cute, especially for couples that pay to get away from that.
Secondly, during teatime 3 times weekly, I personally witnessed a 10yr old just lick the community condiment spoons that everyone uses.
Also, people come here often to experience the cave/cliff restaurant the Grotto. Durring the three nights we stayed here it was closed for two of them for privat events/weddings...when we were leaving we heard the concierge telling the couple checking in, it will be closed again during their stay for certain days.
Like I said prior, place is beatiuful. We are in Thailand yearly and this one tops the charts. We will be back, strictly for the phang nga beach access, nice breakfast, and exceptional staff.

We spent a weekend at the Rayavadee with friends.

Staying here is probably one of the most unique experiences you will have. Right from the unique boat transfer (yes it’s on an island, which for some reason wasn’t too clear whilst booking the rooms). Won’t divulge details of the boat transfer! The welcome was exceptional and the property is super quiet and beautiful. The rooms are duplex chalets (again a pleasant surprise as it didn’t seem to be clear enough in the posting). Super luxurious rooms surrounded by the most lush forest like cover with enough windows. It will come as a huge surprise that this property is 39 yrs old as everything in here is super modern and up to date.


The bed needs a special mention. Again one of the largest we have ever slept on. An entire family of two adults and two young children could sleep on one bed. It’s way bigger than a King size.

The Grotto is a unique dining experience although you not only have to confirm well In advance but also tell them what you will eat at least one day prior. If not, they will turn you away as they only prepare what you said you will eat. And be ready to pay for the most expensive dinner you have had in a long time. But worth every penny as unlikely you will get another setting quite like this one.

Overall food isn’t top class at any of the restaurants but that I will leave for you to judge. We are not foodies so we don’t mind..

This is a place we would definitely want to return. Memorable!

We stayed at Rayavadee last week for three nights. The grounds and scenery were absolutely beautiful. However, this is not a 5 star hotel. The rooms are outdated but still comfortable which is just fine. However, the food was extremely disappointing. The worst meals we had our entire trip was at this hotel which is really unacceptable for how expensive it is. I wanted to love this hotel - but I would never stay here again.

Amazing Place!

We had an excellent time at the Rayavadee. It has a great location with access to multiple amazing beaches, an awesome pool, four delicious restaurants, great excursion offerings, beautiful gardens, and spacious accommodations. Despite all this, the best thing about Rayavadee is its people. The resort has a large staff and everyone is always smiling and willing to go out of their way to make your stay unforgettable. There are things to do in the nearby town, but we rarely left the resort (except for excursions to the Phi Phi Islands and Phang Nga Bay) because we loved it there so much. Highly recommend!

It is a self contained world of tranquility, but unlike many resorts of the same caliber it is not isolating. I just returned from the most magical stay at Rayavadee in Krabi, and I’m still floating from the experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like royalty. Every single person we encountered went above and beyond, creating such a warm, welcoming, and luxurious atmosphere.

A very special thank you to Luna, who truly made our stay unforgettable. Her kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care made us feel so taken care of every step of the way.

The Songkran ceremony was such a beautiful and meaningful experience, and the spa treatments were nothing short of heavenly. Even the servers at the restaurants made every meal feel like a celebration.

And the property itself—WOW. Nestled between towering limestone cliffs and surrounded by lush jungle and pristine beaches, it honestly felt like we had stepped into a fairytale. Every corner of Rayavadee is designed with elegance and natural beauty in mind. It’s peaceful, private, and absolutely breathtaking.

I can’t recommend Rayavadee enough. It’s more than a resort—it’s a full sensory experience that I’ll treasure forever.

We stayed at 5 different properties while in the area including The Surin Phuket. The Rayavadee was certainly the highlight. The jungle meets the beach in the most incredible way. Our bungalow was beautiful, with a comfortable bed and the most luxurious shower. The food was delicious and the spa was amazing. It was definitely a layer back five star experience that didn’t feel stuffy.

Vast resort spanning both sides of the Railay peninsula. Lush tropical garden dotted with dozens (perhaps hundreds) of villas steeped in seemingly never-ending jungle and surrounded by steep limestone cliffs. Three different beaches at opposing ends of the resort. Huge warm infinity pool near Railay side of resort. Excellent breakfast buffet. Wonderful, accommodating staff with good English command at all levels. Elegant speed boat for transfers from and to the Krabi airport. The resort is not cheap, but arguably worth the price because of its stunning location on scenic, slightly hard-to-reach beach, incredible swimming pool and high level of service. The very walkable beach is breathtaking in its beauty in early morning hours before first long-tail boats start arriving with loads of day trippers from “mainland”.
Design of villas seems rustic, a bit dated and forest lodge-type, rather than modern age and reflective of the price. Our pavilion villa was clean and functional, but a bit small (on two levels), dark and cluttered with heavy wooden and wicker items. Food prices on premises astronomical, but admittedly not mandatory, as there are many reasonable local dining options within five minutes from the resort. Beaches around the resort are not private - expect crowds. Overall a great place but slightly overpriced

We enjoyed every minute of our 5 day stay in March 2025. Our little villa was perfect, situated nicely between the three beaches that surround the resort. Getting to watch the monkeys as we were walking to the beach was always a treat. The food was really good, and in particular the Grotto restaurant at Phranang Beach had not only great food but the views from there are breathtaking. The pool area is also very nice on the Railay beach side of the resort. There are also several off-resort dining options within easy walking distance. Those were also very good.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the transportation they provide from the airport to the resort was very efficient. You have to pay for it but well worth it.

For us there was just nothing to complain about. Railay beach can get a little busy during the day with all of the boats but none of that bothered us.

Highly recommended; we will definitely stay there again if we decide to visit the Krabi area again.

We are a well travelled couple and have stayed in many luxury resorts. Rayavedee meets and exceeds these standards of luxury. Our concierge Luna was attentive and extremely helpful. The villas are spacious with beautiful added touches that make you feel welcomed. The grounds are paradise with beautiful plants and wildlife to be experienced on every walk. Personally, I would not recommend The Grotto restaurant as we felt the food was good but not worth the expense. That being said, The food at the Thai restaurant is highly recommended, not to be missed!!!! Breakfast felt like never ending selections...all perfection! The views are breathtaking ❤️. We will treasure our time spent at Rayavedee and thanks to all the wonderful staff.

Amazing last stop for our honeymoon.

Most amazing stay, with everything beyond expectations. Great and attentive staff but the natural and breathtaking setting is unmatched. Also the wildlife added to the jungle vibe. I was mixed before booking based on some reviews, but can honestly say I’m so happy we disregarded and got to experience this for ourselves. Stayed in several 5 star hotels during our stay, this one will stay long in our memories. Loved the pavilion as well, such a lovely and solid and well finished room, with all the comforts you’d want.

Some speak of the prices / restaurant costs. Everything we ate was great and yes it’s higher than typical Thai prices, but the quality and taste was great and the setting of each restaurant was lovely. Still reasonable versus other 5 star hotels in the world.

Dual side access to both sides of the island with an amazing beach one side and pool the other gave a great spread of relaxation and water sport options. And we visited the spa twice was great and up and there with what would be expected for a hotel of this quality (price I thought was also reasonable)

Rayavadee was the highlight of our trip to Thailand. With the unreal views, the entire property as a whole there was nothing less than perfect. Our Villa was truly remarkable & the way the staff waited on us hand and foot was incredible! The biggest priority for me is cleanliness and everything on the property was extremely clean and taken care of.
The included breakfast was great but the only change I would make is the lunch food at the pool and the food they give you for room service. I never really had anything I thought was worth the money. Because it is a lot more expensive to eat in the hotel than it is outside.
All in all 10/10 hotel and will recommend to everyone I know!

Their staff needs a class on culture sensitivity, they are not used to having black guest. Although many staff members were nice just as many weren’t. We paid our hard earned money and had planned this trip for three years. We deserved to be treated fairly and equally to every other paying guest. Thank goodness the other two hotels we stayed in on this trip did not make us feel as if we didn’t deserve to be there. We would not return to Rayavadee nor would we recommend it to anyone.

Wow, what a treat.
We only stayed one night, however the second we got there we asked if there was availability for a second night.
Firstly we got the shared bus shared boat airport pick up option which was great and efficient.
The check in process was then very smooth and we were shown to our room. The grounds are stunning and the rooms also. The bed is the comfiest bed I have ever slept in.
Once we settled in we went to all the beaches and the pool and all are amazing.
We couldn’t get in the grotto in the evening as there was a wedding but we went for lunch and it was beautiful. The breakfast was lovely also. I can honestly say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would 100% return!

Loved the staff, location, and room layout. Only issue is the restaurant pricing. Way too expensive relative to other options ( roughly 10x other choices).

We were welcomed with a refreshing drink & cold towel to cool off. We had an amazing 2 story villa. All of the rooms have a beautiful jungle-like scenery that is really well maintained. We saw monkeys for picture taking. The staff were all very kind, the food was incredible. The pool was absolutely breathtaking. When we went a short distance to Rilay beach we were allowed to use the Kayaks & paddle boards. We fell in love with Krabi & will be returning to Rayavadee again, hopefully soon.

Amazing Views

Our kid was really ill the duration of our 3 day stay so was abit of a nightmare we couldnt get the full experience out it , however this hotel location is stunning, luna was a great help in arranging anything wee needed including taxi back to phuket airport ect.. I will go back here again in future. The hotel is extremely chill not really music or that on during the day mostly people reading ect.. beach is more livelyish there daily taxiboats bringing people in. I would say this is more like a honeymoon resort than for kids that said though there was a few kids about. there is the spa, gym, rock climbing ' kayaking' snorkling, cave and bat trecking ect. when we first arrived we where abit freaked out with the jungle setting as we did not know what was flying about lol but the next day we where fine didnt see anything we where scared off lol. We went to the grotto restraunt which we had to leave early but it is set in a stunning location on the beach the food was decent aswell nothing to rave home about but it was nice and cant really beat the views. room service laundry' golfcarts to take you about are there in a heartbeat also.

Perfect resort, trash on beach.

fantastic hotel/resort. awesome pool at railway beach. my only complaint is the amount of trash floating in the oceans and washing up. this is a Thailand problem and not just the resort to be clear. Imagine you're swimming in the most gorgeous beach on the planet and a plastic bag or rope tangles around your body. Have Chang sponsor an event, free beer in exchange for trash clean up. It will be gone in 2 days. The trash isn't from beach goers littering, seems to be from all the commerce and stuff falling overboard from the long boats. Please clean this up, it would make the experience flawless.

This is just a lovely place. From the rooms, the beaches, the service, the food, the landscaping: just about everything is perfect. The two of us stayed in Deluxe Pavilion 309; this had a nice view of the greenery around us from the 2nd floor large window.
We preferred not to sit in the patio area on the 1st floor because of a lack of privacy. The two main beaches (Phranang and Railay) are both lovely, we preferred swimming in Phranang and walked on both of them, Phranang was about a 10 minute walk for us and Railay about a 5 minute walk.
The walks through the property are just lovely, they have done a fantastic job of landscaping with all kind of tropical plants, but we also took advantage of the golf cart rides when it was raining.
The breakfast (which is included) is served till 11 am and has a lot of nice a la carte and buffet style options. We didn't go the Grotto (did not look so special to us and seemed overpriced), but ate at the other two hotel restaurants: Krua Phranang and Raitalay Terrace; both were excellent (and had lovely views of the beach) and we also enjoyed the cocktails at the 4-6 pm happy hour at Raitalay Terrace.
The swimming pool is lovely and also has a great veiw of Railay beach.
The service at Rayavadee was just exceptional; we want to give a shout out to Joy, who was our server during breakfast, she was just fantastic.
We were here during the off-season, the prices are a little lower, and it was still wonderful despite some rain.

This resort was excellent! Very unique property with individual bungalows in the forest/jungle. Much better than traditional style hotel. Many places to eat in the resort & at other resorts next to Rayavadee. All within walking distance. Everything was very clean & the staff was awesome. Extremely friendly & helpful!
